The same thing happens in a regular playground after a rainfall or a nearby sprinkler session. This is a Mourning Dove staying hydrated in a Brooklyn water playground.

Charley plays in snow in Grate Field in Central Park on February 22, 2008. Charley loved being out in the snow, especially as it was falling. Charley loved exploring Central Park and this particular field was near where he lived and he visited it often, frequently meeting other dogs and people each time. Central Park, Manhattan, NYC

The cherry blossoms in Central Park are in maximum floofiness, and last weekend we caught the awesome Nick Cave exhibit at the Guggenheim museum.

NEW YORKERS, DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN REQUEST A STREET TREE IN A VACANT TREE PIT NEAR YO U USING THIS FORM?

It’s my understanding that requests take a few growing seasons/years and with Eric Adams shafting Parks, who knows how long that will actually be but hey, the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago and the second best time to plant a tree is when the forestry department finally processes your request!
