Sketchbook entry featuring redesigns of the infamous Chris-Chan creations, Sonichu and Rosechu. I felt like taking cringe and making it cute. Also, before anyone asks why Rosechu is wearing sunflowers, it's because they match with her color scheme and I have a headcanon where she just loves wearing floral prints.

Still coming up with a better design, and a name, but the main idea Sonichu and Raatma from VHS 94 had a baby, and it lives in the storm drains all across the world.

SONICHU SALVAGED

Post 1 - Logo and Synopsis

Even in a world with lightning-fast hedgehogs and monsters small enough to fit in your pocket, there are some who still can't find fulfillment. This is no such story.

Sorry for the cringey opening, I just thought it was cute. But anyways, I'd like to welcome you to Sonichu Salvaged, my attempt at improving the bizarre world of Christine W. Chandler's Sonichu webcomic. Today's post will cover the general synopsis of the story I would like to tell.

My aim is to stray away from the typical plot-line of "CWCVille is a shit place and Chris is a loony tyrant and the children are wretched abominations that must be executed on sight". There's at least three adaptations with this plot, and I want to try and stand out. So here's what I have in mind:

In the quiet town of Quinnchester, England (don't ask), a sporty young man by the name of Santiago "Sonny" Valiente tires of his job as the mayor's chief of staff, instead wanting to travel the world with his Pikachu bestie. One day, tapping away on his phone, he sees a breaking news article of a monster on the attack; always a reckless fellow, Sonny takes his Pikachu and heads to the scene of the crime.

Turns out, this is another one of Sonic the Hedgehog's inter-dimensional travels. (at least, I'm assuming this is possible, I love Sonic but I don't know what's happening half the time) The blue blur found his way to Quinnchester in order to fight the monster. Sonny and Pikachu stumble upon this battle, and in a freak collide with Super Sonic, undergo a life-changing alteration.

With a great boom of Chaos Energy combined with Pikachu's inner workings, man and pokémon morph into one, and several others are transformed. Now Sonny, as well as his newfound companion Rosemary Felix, have to adjust to their new life and abilities, all the while taking down a criminal planning to overthrow the mayor.

So yeah, pretty long synopsis. Wish I was better at explaining things more concisely, but... eh.

As you can probably tell, Sonny and Rosemary are the names for Salvaged's version of Sonichu and Rosechu. I'll explain the name choices once I dedicate pages to them, as well as more story details and the subplot.

Oh lawd he a big boy (god bless you Courtney/SNT for doing a banger punchy redesign) I tried to make him less like a knuckles clone so I changed his body type and also his face. (Fun fact his based off of bark the polar bear)

Punchy looks scary but he's actually a big teddy bear and loves to crack jokes

K so like, I changed Blake (changed his name to Mimichu) isn't just a sonichu DNA clone, but is now (kinda) the same way shadow is made. Like imagine if one of the scientists the angle island super sonic mural and thought "Holy shit, Giovanni wanted something like this right? Now i dont have to do any extra work" Mimic was lowkey a fucked up experiment. Notably he doesn't have cheek pouches, so he can't harness electricity. And has to use wrist guards to harness electricity. I also changed Blake into a closeted trans girl but that's for later so sssSSSHHH

A plucky lil archer boy who can't be trusted by himslef (funny weed joke here) he's the shortest and youngest of the chaotic combo

Same kinda lore and backstory (ig) but now she's a lesbian. She looks like she got her shit together but shes crumbling inside. ITS OKAY GIRL, BE REBELLIOUS IT WONT HURT YOU 😭

Think of the most chaotic dnd group imaginable and thas the chaotic combo. They mean well and save the day countless times, but good god do they cause massive property damage

Well as you can see Sonichu is still being a pain, so as an apology of not getting the 2 out on time, heres a redesign/reimagine I made for Megagi La Skunk. The only thing I really intend the 2 to have in common is their name and species. And maybe a bit of their style/vibe.
