EEEHU Draft Schedule is up!

We indeed are having classes on Friday!

We currently have 29 classes presented by 26 presenters running in 2 separate tracks from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening!

All of these classes will be held on Google Meet!

NEEHU 11 is Postponed!

I don’t have all the details yet. Do sit tight while I get it sorted. I wanted to let people know ASAP. What I know:

The event potentially owes the hotel for 75% of the total cost of rooms. I need to have a discussion with the hotel.

Refunds will be issued to people who want them (need to work out the details with Brown Paper Tickets)

We will be having an online conference on NEEHU weekend (details pending!) (eeeeeeHU anyone?)

This is a really shitty situation and I am very sad. But we must do what we can to flatten the curve. This is too serious to ignore. Read these articles and imagine this is happening to your friends.

Hypno Spa @ NEEHU

Dreamward is helping organize a hypno spa for us this year! It’s a gender-affirming space for everyone who wants to feel pampered! We will have a variety of Nice Things like temp tattoos, nail polish, henna, hair brushing/braiding, hypnotic makeovers, mani/pedi (bring nail polish!!) ... and more! If you want to help out with this, let us know! It could be as simple as bringing some nail polish or spending some time giving foot rubs or shoulder rubs!

(And if it isn’t obvious, this space is for everyone who wants to enjoy it, and is explicitly trans-friendly.)

If you have booked a room at the hotel, I am working with them to send out confirmation that your room has been cancelled. This is Hotel Week, the week I’m thinking about the NEEHU hotel

In addition to being the last week to be guaranteed a place in our room block at our conference rate, it’s also time to talk about the hotel a bit. First thing... the Party Floor! We have one! It is going to be guarded by a fierce Door Dragon during con hours (9AM-2AM daily). It’s got 3 classrooms and 2 social spaces including the Hospitality Room (AKA where the food is!) At night, there will be fun activities going on there, like HypnoSpa, Hysterical Literature, Karaoke, Biofeedback Exploration, Vending, School of Magic Faire, Koala boxing and more. The con-organized food delivery orders will also be landing in room 222. People on the party floor are staying all 4 nights (Thurs-Sunday) or are willing to pay for all 4 nights even if they’re not staying for all of them. They ideally are wanting to have a public social event for at least one night of the con. I’ve seen a lot of great room-parties, from chill to intense... doesn’t have to be BDSM play! This year, so far we have: The Flower Patch Crystal Cave Lilith's Charm Shoppe Electric Tastings Sensory Decompression Room Seb’s Lounge Basic Brush Ops/Maybe VR (And a few more not confirmed) I’ve seen some cool themes at other cons including: Pirates! Vampires! SHINY!!! Basic Bitch Party Stuffie snuggle room Mardi Gras And if you think you need to be an amazing planner and have everything planned out way in advance, I have to say that some of the best party rooms I’ve seen have been thrown together in the last minute! Pre-of-Jevan and MindTheBaron have volunteered to help people with their party ideas if they’re needing it. Alcohol Policy: Alcohol is allowed on the party floor, but ONLY to people wearing a 21+ wristband! No band, no booze. Drink responsibly, don’t play when intoxicated. Intoxicated people will be sent out of conference space to sober up. Hypnosis works better when you’re sober! @vending-deeper @ask-loopy

We have a draft schedule!

It is still very drafty and things are hopping all around as people realize they want THAT time slot over there rather than the one I painstakingly picked out for them (j/k)... If you’re presenting, check out the schedule for when your classes are and let me know if you want any changes. Any box with a number in it is fair game for moving a class into! All of this is first come/first serve! We’ve got room for a few more presentations, especially Advanced level ones or ones on eclectic topics. Why wait until the convention to get to know your fellow attendees? We made an icebreaker room for registered attendees to have fun and get to know each-other! Right now we’re playing 3 truths and one lie, which is that much better with all of the emojis Discord offers. Make sure to request your attendee role so you can see what’s going on!

Community Ambassador Program is awesome

We’ve got 23 participants so far, and a good mix of mentors and mentees! This makes me very happy, and there’s still time to sign up as either a new person or an Ambassador! We’ll be announcing matches early March to give people a chance to chat online before the event! (But don’t worry, if you sign up late, we’ll pair you up too.) I love a satisfying negotiation, and yesterday I had two of them!

So we’re going to have Operation Hammond running their fantastic first aid table and being present as emergency responders at our event! And we’re going to have an awesome person doing sound for us at the event. Nothing too outrageous, but that means fewer concerns of not being able to hear from the back of the big rooms, and speakers that make our dungeon music sound nice.  And they know about acoustics and will help make sure things aren’t too loud in places we don’t want it to be loud. Woot! Next stop... pipe and drape!

EEEE ideas coming together!

Starting to work on the NEEHU schedule and I am just so excited about what we came up with for Friday afternoon. It started with “hey, maybe we should do impact play tastings before the dungeon is full on play party so it can be a bit more educational and won’t interrupt scenes” to realizing that we could use all three ballroom classrooms to have separate areas for toybag tastings, rope practice, and mentored trance practice! In a glorious 2 hour block, where people can go from room to room as they please to get all the different experiences they want! This will take a whole bunch of folks who would like to mentor/demo/help people with rope, but will make for some amazing experiences for attendees! Let me know if you want to help out with this!!! Being a “Contributor” at NEEHU ... what do we mean?

Making an awesome con takes a LOT of work, and a lot of people dedicated to making cool stuff happen. For NEEHU 11, you will probably see the word “contributor” thrown about a lot... so I’ma gonna explain what I mean. Contributors contribute their time to making the event more awesome. That might be by teaching a class or two. That might be by spearheading a project, like our Ambassador Program or icebreaker time. It might be by doing something like Seb’s Hypno Scouts. Or making a nerf battle happen. Or doing a hot themed scene for all of us to watch. Or hosting an open room or theme room on the party floor. It might be by Group trance? Hypno-wizard duels? Hive mind brainwashing? Content is only limited by your imagination and what you want to do (and the law and such.)

We have a communication framework set up to help contributors get what they need from the convention (it starts on Discord, or via messages!) We have funds available to help contributors get the stuff they need to make their cunning plans into reality. Contributors will have as much freedom and support as we can give them to make their “thing” the most fun it can be!

We love our contributors! We want them to be happy! Everyone who expresses interest in contributing and is known to the convention gets access to the hotel booking information prior to registering. Contribute 4 hours (co-presenting/demo bottoming counts for this, as does hosting something!) and you get free registration. There will also be free pizza, and entries into the Raffle! It’s totally time to sign up for volunteering also! NEEHU 11 will have different volunteer roles, being in a hotel and not serving lunch. A lot of door guarding and badge checking. No cooking! We are also looking for people to be DMs and consent team! Volunteering is a great way to save $ and meet people at con!

Save the dates - March 26-30, 2020. 4 full days of classes and activities, 4 nights of play party. $80 early registration. Over 6,000 SF of classroom/social space. Free registrations available for presenters and volunteers. Hotel $94/night for 2 people including breakfast and parking (and $5/additional person to cover breakfast).

And FINALLY we are 18+! Registration, presentation submission, and hotel booking going live early next week.
