Submit your presentations!

February 1 is the day we would love to get your presentations by so we can start working on the event and volunteer schedule! We are looking for presentations on our Science and Technology theme, from the Science of Trance States to “How I get my partner off from halfway across the world” to “look at this cool thing I can get brains to do!” (and everything in between!)  We are also looking for general hypno con presentations on a wide variety of topics, from the basics to things that would appeal to the more advanced practitioners. Discussions re: gender, sexuality, relationships, negotiation, best practices, and consent are always welcome! In addition to classes, you can use the Submission Form to volunteer to host Fun Stuff like meet and greets, D&D games, social events like speed dating/flirting/trancing, and more! Presenters get $50 reg for doing 1 class, and free reg for doing the equivalent of 2 classes (IE one solo class plus 2 co-presented classes, or 2 co-presented classes and 8 hours of volunteering.) If you are confused, there’s a better explanation on the presentation submission form. All presenters will get a Thank You Gift and one raffle ticket for every hour they contribute to the con. NEEHU 14/EEEHU 4 Info

I haven’t been on Tumblr for, like, forever... but realized I should probably post the con info here too because variety of media is fun. This year’s theme is Science and Technology and it is my favorite-est thing because SCIENCE and VR and hot robots and mad science and labcoats and science fair and encouraging non-IRB reviewed experiments... and all that crazy stuff y’all come up with that I can’t even begin to imagine but it always is delightful. There will be hypnosis classes, there will be board games, there will be a really well equipped dungeon for 4 nights, there will be Nefarious Plans aplenty and vaccinated people with masks over noses (and mouths). We’re even doing an order of NEEHU Laboratories labcoats, so get on Discord so you don’t miss that announcement! This will be our 2nd year in that hotel in Hartford, and our first year ticketing the conference with Forbidden Tickets. COVID stuff:

Vaccination and booster required. This means 2x Pfizer or Moderna (or 1x of the one shot series) plus at least one booster, ideally including the recent bivalent booster. While we are well and thoroughly sick of masks, noses are still not socially acceptable, so no noses out yet except in areas of the con that will be labeled and easily avoidable. We recommend for people who are concerned about picking up unwanted viruses at con to wear an N-95 mask that fits properly (and I’ll post slides and do a little talk about how to know your mask fits on Discord at some point.)

E-Quake pricing update! $60 rate until August 8th!

We realized that August 1 is actually quite soon, and that we wanted to give people a little more time to get their early registration prices, so we extended it to August 8th! (that’s my birthday, and it also is national “sneak some zucchini onto your neighbor’s porch” day, and national cat day!)

E-Quake is coming...

And I’m one of the people making it happen, along with Alizabeth and an amazing team of people from all over the world! It’s something epic, and it’s happening at the end of October! Worldwide online hypno con. Classes as close to 24 hours/day as we can make them. Social events, lots of them. Something so vast, no single person will be able to experience it all. EEEHU starts tonight!

It’s going to be an exciting experiment! We have over 400 people registered, and I have no idea what to expect for this weekend! Get onto the EEEHU-only discord server, get your age verified ASAP because we’re going to be busy later and you might miss stuff you want to see.

To get your age verified, DM a photo of yourself holding your ID that shows your age and your face, with your actual face, and a paper that says your scene name and today’s date.

If you have booked a room at the hotel, I am working with them to send out confirmation that your room has been cancelled. NEEHU 11 is officially EEEHU, NEEHU 12 will be in March 2021

NEEHU 11 Cancellation / Digitalization Info

1. I am unable to find a time to reschedule NEEHU in 2020 that the hotel and dungeon furniture provider have availability, so I have made the decision to officially transmute NEEHU 11 into EEEHU.

2. NEEHU 12 will be at the end of March, 2021 at the same hotel with the Magic theme. I will have registration information up for this soon.

3. Regarding hotel room cancellations, the hotel told me that they would handle cancelling our entire block so individuals don’t need to take action. I will confirm this with the hotel.

4. Regarding tickets purchased for NEEHU 11, we have it set up so that you WILL need to manually request a refund. **All funds NOT refunded by April 8th will be sent to me ** and will go towards next year’s event (scholarships, cool stuff.) Please request a refund through Brown Paper Tickets if you want one! Here’s the link to the ticketing site to help you get this done!

5. Ok, now time for some happy news! We’re organizing an online conference called EEEHU!!  It will be held on a private discord server and Google Meet on March 28-29. (And maybe March 27 if there is a lot of interest!)  This event will be FREE with option to donate $10-20, which will again go towards defraying costs of cancelled event and making next year’s event better. You need to register to get the info for the event!

6. If you are interested in presenting an online class at EEEHU, here is the presenter signup sheet! Classes may be voice only, video, voice with slides, or whatever else you come up with! This is not limited to NEEHU presenters! We’re getting so much interest from people who have never been able to travel to NEEHU!

NEEHU 11 is Postponed!

I don’t have all the details yet. Do sit tight while I get it sorted. I wanted to let people know ASAP. What I know:

The event potentially owes the hotel for 75% of the total cost of rooms. I need to have a discussion with the hotel.

Refunds will be issued to people who want them (need to work out the details with Brown Paper Tickets)

We will be having an online conference on NEEHU weekend (details pending!) (eeeeeeHU anyone?)

This is a really shitty situation and I am very sad. But we must do what we can to flatten the curve. This is too serious to ignore. Read these articles and imagine this is happening to your friends.

We’re doing Hypno Hysterical literature again this year! (It’s been a few years since we’ve done it!)
