“We can’t name the cat.” Renjun stubbornly refused from where he sat on the cold floor legs crossed.

“Why not? You can’t not name him!” Y/n slurred right back, somehow managing to pet the cat gently from where she sat across from Renjun.

“Because in Coraline the cat didn’t have a name.” He argued, blinking slowly watching the two of them.

Y/n only pouting at that as she stopped petting the cat leaning back a bit.

The black cat, noticing this moved towards Renjun in hope of even a little bit of attention, rubbing itself against him as the cat moved around to his back, Renjun’s slow hand only managing to gently grab the cat's tail as it too slipped from his palm.

“Well it is called vermin by the other mother though.” Renjun recalled causing her to quickly shake her head side to side.

“We are not calling it that, look at him.” She refused before making grabby hands at the black cat, followed by kissy noises.

The cat trailing away from Renjun going back towards her, Y/n’s actions being successful as it moved onto her crossed lap, sharp claws kneading against her jeans though she barely felt it.

“Vermin it is.”

Y/n shooting a half assed glare Renjun’s way at his words holding the cat closer to herself not noticing the way the cat nudges the bottom of her chin.

“Give me five minutes and we’ll get your lips sewn.”

“No thanks.”

Renjun took out his phone squinting his eyes to read the blurry twitter messages on his feed letting out a hum.

“I think Jaemin is looking for us.”

Y/n looking around noticing they were somewhere unfamiliar letting out a quiet “whoops.”

“So if we adopt him what do we write on his papers? The cat?” Y/n asked, already forgetting about the fact their friend was searching high and low for them.

“Can we even adopt a cat together? As siblings.” She continued looking down at the black cat.

“We aren’t even siblings.” Renjun grumbled out rubbing his eyes.

“Unofficially, but Jaemin doesn’t think so.” She wagged her finger at him.

Renjun grabbing her finger pulling her closer to his own face.

“I don’t want to be your sibling.” He mumbled.

Y/n pouting at that saying a quick “rude, I’d be a great sister.”

“You’re so dense sometimes it hurts Y/n. I don’t want you as a sister or a friend. I want you, like I want us to be together, in a relationship way.” He drunkenly rambled all the while she just stared at him.

“Oh that’s actually really good because I want the same thing, but I thought you didn’t.”

“What?” He breathed out as she just nodded.

It was silent for a bit before the silence was finally broken.

“We should be together or something then.” Renjun blurted out.

“Huang Renjun you are going to hit yourself in the morning for asking her out in that way, save that for a sober night.” Jaemin scolded having suddenly appeared helping his drunk friend stand.

Jaemin turned to look at Y/n, his shoulders slumping watching how she was hugging the random black cat close to herself, said cat not minding one bit. He knew well enough you would not part with that cat in this state.

After checking the cat for a possible collar or chip when he found none he let that problem slide in favour of holding his phone to his ear having dialled Jeno’s number, the only other sober one of the group currently.

“You found them?”

Jaemin glanced over at Y/n and Renjun after hearing Jeno’s voice through the phone observing the scene in front of him.

“Yeah I did, I’m texting you my location there’s no way I’m getting back with them alone.”

Jaemin couldn’t help the soft smile forming on his face at how Renjun pouted watching Y/n smothering the black cat in kisses, clearly the drunk wybie was feeling left out.

“Get here quick or I think Renjun might devour Y/n whole right where she stands or trip over his own feet. One or the other.”

okay hear me out but what if ep 7 is based off of Coraline? Like, Uzi being Coraline, searching for info about her mom and stuff that won't kill her.

N based of Wybie (like talking nervously and such because of V's "death" and being told Uzi has to die) and Other Wybie, being Wybie at first but then going into other Wybie, completely silent.

And then the Solver would be based off Other Mother, attempting to take over Uzi, while Tessa would also be Other Mother a little bit, and tries to "sew buttons in her eyes" (shoot her between the eyes) ,but it doesn't work.

Boyfriend! Wybie Lovat Headcanons

(for the sake of this post, the character’s age has been raised to seventeen)!

• First and foremost, how did this awkward and rambling mess ask you out?

- Well… that’s simple: he didn’t do a face-to-face interaction. Instead, Wybie, being a man of few words, decides to pour his heart out in a heartfelt letter to you. He carefully writes down all his feelings, expressing how he's fallen for you and how much you mean to him. He leaves the letter on the doorstep of the Pink Palace, along with your favourite flowers. You then find the letter and read it, finally realizing the depth of Wybie's emotions. When you finally rush to find him, Wybie initially tries to ignore you.

- Spoiler alert: It didn’t go as planned. He totally failed. After you finally confess to feeling the same way, you and Wybie shared a warm embrace where he begins to whisper sweet nothings into your ear, feeling overjoyed that his feelings are reciprocated.

• Who says “I love you” first?

- You. Definitely you.

- Despite you possessing enough courage to actually say these special words, Wybie had to admit that he was pretty upset that he didn’t say it first. You beat him to it! But another part of him couldn’t help but feel overjoyed that you said it first.

- He has very mixed feelings about it. -.- but he can’t stay mad at you! It wasn’t anything to hold a grudge over.

• Who initiated the first kiss?

- Depends on who you ask.

- You and Wybie’s first kiss happened on your third date which was in the garden belonging to the Pink Palace which happened to be a rather romantic picnic. During the middle of it, there was something in the air that caused Wybie to feel compelled to kiss you. Or that’s at least how he describes it happening.

- Despite how much arguing there is about who kissed who, Wybie is happy that you’re his first kiss. <33

• Date ideas?

- Even though Wybie has a naturally frantic outward personality, let’s face it… this man loves horror movies! I mean, have you seen his skeleton gloves?! But… he — for sure — screams like a girl from time to time if a jump scare gets him too good.

• Adventurous Dates: While the Pink Palace may not offer traditional adventures, Wybie is creative when it comes to planning dates. He loves taking you on spontaneous and unique dates, like stargazing on the rooftop of the Pink Palace, exploring hidden spots in their town, or taking you on a midnight picnic in the overgrown garden.

- And, yes, the black cat is more than welcome to come on all these little adventures but only if you’re okay with it!

• Would he be the type of boyfriend to take part in playful banter?

- Of course!

- Your relationship is filled with playful banter and teasing. He enjoys engaging in witty banter and playful teasing, keeping your relationship lighthearted and fun. There were a few people beside the boys, since it was a small halloween party.

“Shut uup.” His face got red so you stood on your tiptoes and kissed his cheek, causing him to get even more red.

The guys laughed, enjoying the moment. They had never really seen him like this until he started dating you a year and a half ago.

Seokjoon wanted to give a mysterious vibe but in reality he was like a golden retriever who got flustered easily.

“I want to see all of you when you get girlfriends, I bet you’re gonna be as whipped as me.” He pointed to his friend group. “Especially Yechan.”

“So you admit that you are whipped.” Now you laughed.

“Shit.” Seokjoon cursed, like he got caught lacking. “Well, yeah. I mean how can I not be? You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen.”

It was your turn to blush. “Stoop, you’re so sappy.” He smirked and pulled you closer to him by the waist, giving you a kiss on the nose.

“Get a room!” You heard Seongbin yell in a joking tone. You just looked at him and stuck out your tongue.

“Uhm, I really don’t understand why we can’t just say we’re together,” you mumbled, pouting as you carefully dotted freckles on your cheeks and nose, the final touch to your Coraline costume. The dark blue wig was already on, its strands falling messily over your eyes. You glanced at your reflection, feeling a mix of excitement and frustration bubbling inside you. “It would be so much easier if we didn’t have to sneak around.” You turned to your boyfriend, hoping he’d see things your way.

Sam was sprawled on the bed, his dark hair tousled, and he had an effortless charm as he lay there in his Wybie Lovat costume. His eyes were half-closed, but he still radiated warmth. He lifted his head lazily, the dim light casting a shadow on his face. 

“It’s not that easy,” he replied softly, the words dragging out of him like they weighed more than he wanted to admit. “Corey’s your brother, we’ve gotta ease him into it, get him used to the idea.” His voice was calm, but there was a hint of worry beneath the surface.

You sighed, the frustration creeping into your chest. The mirror reflected back not just your Coraline costume, but the growing unease between you two. “If you say so,” you muttered, trying to keep your voice steady, but it came out sharper than you intended. You loved him, but hiding this… it was exhausting.

Sam noticed the shift immediately. He got up, padding across the room and wrapping his arms around your waist from behind, his chin resting gently on your shoulder. His touch was comforting, familiar. “Are you mad at me?” he murmured, his voice tender, like he was afraid of pushing too hard.

You hesitated before nodding. “A little,” you admitted quietly, avoiding his gaze in the reflection.

He turned you gently, his eyes locking onto yours, full of understanding and something deeper—love. “I love you,” he whispered, as if saying it softly would make the world stop for a second. “You’re my girlfriend, I’m your boyfriend. We know that, and that’s all that matters.” 

His hand cupped your cheek, thumb brushing your skin as he kissed you—slow, passionate, like he was pouring all his reassurance into that moment. When he pulled away, it left you breathless. He absentmindedly grabbed a pair of gloves from the sink and stuffed them into his pocket. “See you at the party, love,” he said, the corners of his lips tugging up into a small smile as he left the room.

You stood there for a moment, your heart racing, the warmth of his touch lingering on your skin. Maybe he was right… maybe that was all that mattered. But you still couldn’t shake the feeling.

After a few more minutes perfecting your costume—galoshes on, yellow raincoat fastened—you grabbed your gloves and headed downstairs, your heart beating faster as the party noises filled the house.

Sam had arrived first and was already helping Corey set things up, finishing off the drinks and arranging the snacks. The room was filling with people, all dressed in various costumes. You smiled to yourself, seeing Sam trying to be his usual aloof self, though you knew he was probably scanning the room, looking for you.

A boy dressed as Static stopped near Sam, squinting at his costume. “Who’re you supposed to be?” he asked with a raised eyebrow.

Sam stared at him for a beat, his usual grumpy tone coming out, “Wybie from *Coraline*.”

The boy looked him up and down, frowning slightly. “A touch of color, huh?” he joked, nodding at Sam’s mismatched gloves—one orange, one red.

Sam blinked in confusion, then realization hit. “Damn,” he muttered under his breath. He scanned the room, spotting you across the crowd, deep in conversation with your brother. He groaned internally. So much for being discreet.

Corey was already teasing you about your costume. “I didn’t remember Coraline having gloves like that,” he said, gesturing to your bright red gloves.

You shrugged, not really paying attention. “Her mom gives them to her at the end of the movie,” you said, a playful glint in your eye. “Are you sure you watched it?”

Corey narrowed his eyes, trying to remember. “Hey, I watched it… but she didn’t have skeleton gloves,” he shot back.

Your heart sank. “What?” You whispered, glancing down at your hands. The realization hit you like a ton of bricks. “Shit.”

Your gaze immediately found Sam’s across the room, his expression mirroring your own. Corey was still talking, oblivious to the mistake, but you’d already checked out of the conversation.

“I’ll be right back,” you muttered, walking away from your brother, who was now chatting with someone else.

You wove through the crowd, your eyes scanning for Sam, but he found you first. His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you gently into the kitchen, away from prying eyes.

“We switched gloves,” you both said at the same time, breaking into soft laughter despite the situation.

Sam’s smirk softened as he pulled off his gloves, using his teeth to free his hands. “We thought we were being so discreet,” he joked, shaking his head as you swapped gloves back. His hands lingered on yours a little longer than necessary, the intimacy of the moment not lost on either of you.

With the skeleton glove back in his hand, he held your waist again, pulling you a little closer. His thumb traced small circles on your hip, the warmth of his touch sending a pleasant shiver through you.

Just as you were lost in the softness of the moment, Corey’s voice interrupted, cutting through the quiet. “Has anyone seen the box of Hershey’s? I think everyone’s starving,” he said, walking into the kitchen without a second thought.

You jumped, your heart skipping a beat as Sam quickly stepped back, his hand falling to the counter as if nothing had happened.

Corey stopped mid-sentence, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene. “Sam?” he asked, his voice suspicious but amused. His gaze dropped to your hands—each of you now wearing one of the other’s gloves.

Sam cleared his throat, trying to play it cool. “Corey, uh… you need something?”

Corey crossed his arms, his mind piecing everything together. “Ahh, that explains a lot,” he said slowly, nodding to himself. The longer glances, the excuses, the eyeliner incident—it all clicked into place.

You swallowed, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment. “Corey, we…”

“We’re dating,” Sam cut in, his voice firm. “And if you’ve got a problem with that… too bad. We’re not breaking up.”

Corey raised his hands in surrender, a grin tugging at the corners of his lips. “Relax, Sam. I’m not gonna freak out,” he said, surprisingly calm. “If you’re happy, that’s what matters, even if it’s a little weird.”

He turned to you with a smirk. “I’d threaten him, but I’m pretty sure you’d kick his ass yourself if he messed up.”

Sam chuckled softly, his hand finding its way back to your waist. “She’s already warned me.”

You laughed, feeling the tension melt away as Sam kissed you gently, his lips soft against yours. Corey rolled his eyes dramatically, grabbing the box of chocolates from the counter. “Okay, that’s enough of that,” he groaned. “No need to make me lose my appetite.”

As he left the room, Sam let out a breath of relief, turning to you with a small smile. “That went better than I thought.”

You smiled back, your heart swelling with affection. “Yeah, it did.” And as Sam kissed you again, you couldn’t help but feel like maybe, just maybe, things were finally falling into place.
