You always believed in the goodness of people. Growing up in a small, close-knit town had shaped you that way.
You’d been the type to bake cookies for the elderly neighbor down the street, rescue stray animals, and donate whatever you could to people in need. When you met your husband, it felt like a gift from the universe.
He was everything you thought you’d never deserve: charismatic, attentive, and so gentle with you it made your heart ache. He would listen intently to your rambles about work, surprise you with your favorite pastries from the café downtown, and hold you close on cold nights when the world seemed too overwhelming.
You hadn’t known much about his work—“sales” was all he ever said—but it didn’t matter. He always came home to you, and that was enough. You admired how he seemed to understand people so easily, reading emotions and desires with an almost uncanny precision. He was your safe harbor, and you were his soft place to land.
But what made your marriage unique wasn’t just the way he made you feel; it was the way you balanced him. Where he was logical and composed, you were emotional and empathetic. If he brushed off a stranger’s plight with practicality, you’d step in with a warm smile and offer help. He often teased you about your boundless kindness, calling you “his little bleeding heart,” but his tone was always fond.
“You’re too good for this world,” he’d whisper sometimes, brushing your hair behind your ear. You’d laugh, kissing his cheek.
“And you’re my world,” you’d reply, never missing the way his gaze softened.
You were blissfully unaware that the man you loved and trusted so completely was hiding a shadowy part of himself, one that was entirely at odds with the person you knew.
It was a chilly winter evening when your life began to unravel. You’d just finished preparing dinner, humming to yourself as you set the table for two, the flicker of candlelight adding warmth to the cozy living room.
Your husband had called earlier, saying he’d be late, but you didn’t mind waiting.
The knock at the door came suddenly, jolting you out of your thoughts. Expecting it to be a neighbor or a delivery, you opened it with your usual bright smile, only to find a man standing there, his face lined with rage and exhaustion.
“Can I help you?” you asked kindly, though his expression unnerved you.
“You already have,” he muttered darkly, stepping inside uninvited. “Where is he?”
“I’m sorry—who are you talking about?” you stammered, retreating a step.
“Your husband,” he spat, his voice trembling with barely contained fury. “Where is that bastard hiding?”
“I think you’ve made a mistake,” you said gently, though your hands were shaking. “My husband hasn’t hurt anyone. He’s just a salesman.”
“A salesman,” the man repeated with a bitter laugh. He fished a small card from his pocket and slammed it onto the table. You glanced at it, confused by the cryptic design.
“He gave me this,” the man continued. “And because of him, I had to watch people die. Because of him, my friends are dead! You’re married to a killer!”
The words pierced through you like shards of ice. “That’s impossible,” you whispered. “My husband would never—”
“Open your eyes, lady!” he shouted, making you flinch. “Do you even know who you’re married to?”
Before you could respond, the door creaked open again. Your husband stepped inside, his eyes immediately locking onto the stranger.
“Gi-hun,” he said calmly, closing the door behind him. “It’s been a while.”
Your heart sank as you turned to your husband, his usual warmth replaced with a cold, calculating smile you’d never seen before.
“What’s going on?” you asked, your voice trembling.
“Go to the bedroom,” he said softly, but there was an edge to his tone that made your blood run cold.
“No,” you said, shaking your head. “Not until you tell me what this is about. Why is he saying these things?”
The room was tense, the air thick with unspoken truths. Gi-hun’s fury burned hotter as he stepped closer.
“She doesn’t even know, does she?” he sneered. “You’ve been lying to her this whole time.”
Your husband’s jaw tightened. “This isn’t her concern.”
“She’s your wife! She deserves to know the kind of monster she’s married to!”
“Enough,” your husband snapped, his voice firm but not raised. He turned to you, his expression softening just slightly. “Go upstairs, sweetheart. Please.”
You stood frozen, torn between obeying the man you loved and demanding answers. The tears in your eyes blurred your vision as the image of your perfect life began to crumble around you.
Thank you for reading!

The sound of the front door creaking open was followed by the unmistakable pitter-patter of little feet. You smiled to yourself, folding the last of the laundry on the couch. Moments later, your five-year-old daughter, Ella, burst into the living room, her curls bouncing as she carried her backpack like it weighed a hundred pounds.
“Mommy! Daddy!” she chirped, her face lighting up with excitement. She flung her backpack near the door (though not quite in its proper spot, as usual).
Remus stepped into the room, wiping his hands on a dish towel. “There’s my little dove,” he said warmly, crouching down to scoop her up. “How was school today, sweetheart?”
Ella giggled, wrapping her arms around his neck. “It was soooo fun! We did painting, and I made a butterfly! Oh, and guess what?”
Remus kissed her cheek, smiling. “What, little dove?”
“I kissed a boy today! On the cheek!” Ella declared proudly, her eyes sparkling.
You had to bite back your laughter as you watched Remus freeze mid-crouch. His face twisted into pure disbelief, his mouth opening and closing like a fish.
“You—you what?” he sputtered, standing up straight so fast he nearly lost his balance. Ella clung to him, giggling, while he turned to you, wide-eyed. “Dove, did you hear that?! She kissed a boy!”
“I heard,” you said, laughing softly. “She’s starting young.”
Remus didn’t seem to share your amusement. He looked back at Ella, his voice full of panic. “Why? Why did you kiss a boy?”
Ella tilted her head, her expression puzzled. “Because I like him, Daddy. He’s funny.”
“Funny?” Remus repeated, his tone incredulous. He ran a hand through his hair, muttering under his breath, “Funny. Funny.” Then, looking back at her with mock seriousness, he said, “Ella, honey, if he’s funny, you laugh! You don’t kiss him!”
Ella blinked at him, clearly not understanding why this was such a big deal. “But you kiss Mommy, and she’s funny.”
You couldn’t hold back your laugh as Remus whipped around to look at you, his face betraying a mix of indignation and panic. “Dove! Don’t laugh; this is serious!”
“Is it?” you teased, walking over to him. “She’s got a point, you know.”
“She does not have a point,” he countered, before turning back to Ella. “Sweetheart, who’s this boy?”
“Tommy,” Ella said with a dreamy little sigh. “He’s my bestest friend. He made me laugh so hard today that juice came out of my nose!”
Remus groaned, pressing a hand to his face. “Tommy,” he muttered, as if the name itself was offensive. “What kind of name is Tommy anyway? Sounds like the name of someone who runs into walls.”
Ella gasped, her tiny hands on her hips. “Daddy! He’s nice!”
“I’m sure he’s nice,” Remus replied, crouching again to look her in the eye. “But darling, you’re too young to be kissing boys. No more kissing boys, okay?”
“But why?” Ella whined, pouting. “You kiss Mommy, and I don’t see what’s wrong.”
“Because I married Mommy!” he said, exasperated. “And because Mommy is—well, she’s—” He paused, looking at you helplessly. “Dove, help me out here.”
“Because I’m Mommy,” you supplied, grinning. “That’s the best reason there is.”
Ella tilted her head thoughtfully, then asked, “So if I marry Tommy, can I kiss him?”
“Absolutely not!” Remus said, his voice cracking. “You’re not marrying anyone for the next fifty years.”
At that, you couldn’t help but laugh, pulling both your husband and daughter into a hug. “Remus, she’s five. It was just a kiss on the cheek.”
“That’s how it starts!” he argued, his arms instinctively wrapping around you and Ella protectively. “First it’s a kiss on the cheek, and then suddenly they’re eloping to Paris. Not on my watch.”
Ella giggled and kissed his cheek. “You’re silly, Daddy.”
Remus sighed dramatically but kissed her back. “Only for you, little dove. But promise me—no more kissing boys without asking me first, alright?”
“Okay,” Ella said sweetly, though the mischievous glint in her eye made you suspect this wouldn’t be the last you’d hear of Tommy.
“Come on,” you said, ruffling her curls. “Let’s get you a snack.”
As you led Ella toward the kitchen, you glanced back at Remus, who was still crouched on the floor, muttering to himself, “Tommy. Tommy. Sounds like the name of a kid who eats dirt. He should eat dirt. Defiling my little dove.”

Kill my time // Quinn Hughes
In a city full of lonely people, I just want you all to myself
summary: birthday celebrations causing jealousy while struggling to turn a certain age
warnings: drinking, clubbing, smut (18+)
── ∘◦ ⛤ ◦∘ ──
“I can’t believe I’m going to a bar like I’m in my early twenties again.”
I smoothed my dress down, picking apart everything wrong with me as I looked in the mirror. Turning thirty felt like my world was about to collapse, and what made it worse was knowing my boyfriend was only turning twenty five just two days after me.
“Not to mention with a bunch of guys who are twenty one.” My roommate added as she fixed us a couple of drinks. I saw her bring out a bottle of tequila, knowing I was going to be in for a long night.
“Ugh, what did I get myself into?”
“Girl, it’s fine! Quinn doesn’t care about your age so why should you?” She asks, passing me whatever concoction she made. A took a small sip, realizing it was tequila and soda…more like tequila with a splash of soda.
Deep down I knew she was right, because when I told Quinn I was older than him it didn’t phase him at all, I completely expected him to run. He told me the idea of being with someone older was a big turn on for him, something he didn’t discover until he met me. As for me, it didn’t matter what age the men were I dated, they were all extremely immature. I knew it was a risk with Quinn but he definitely didn’t act like men his age. After all he was the captain of an NHL team, he had to have a strong head on his shoulders.
An hour later I was making my way through a busy drunken crowd, holding onto Quinn’s hand for dear life. For whatever reason, his teammates chose this club to celebrate his birthday tonight. Wouldn’t have been my first choice, and I don’t think Quinn was thrilled on it either but he was too quiet to say anything. We always made the best of a bad situation and I knew tonight wouldn’t be any different. House music and lights were bouncing off the walls, making it hard to focus on where we were going. We finally got into our booth and a heavy sigh left me, I definitely wasn’t drunk enough for this.
“You okay, sweetheart?” Quinn’s velvet voice echoed in my ear, calming my nerves. His eyes were bright green, almost enchanting as they peered into mine. My face grew hot, wondering how it was humanly possible for someone to be this gorgeous.
“Yeah it’s just been a while.” I wasn’t lying either. I spent most of my time in breweries with my friends since most of us were over going to clubs. Quinn likes to tell me he doesn’t like going out, but give him a few drinks and he makes a liar out of himself.
He pulled me closer to him, so close I could feel his stubble on my neck. “I won’t leave your side at all, I promise.”
“Okay.” I nodded before he gently brushed his lips over mine. I got lost in our own little world, the music melted away and I forgot we were in the middle of a busy club surrounded by strangers.
“Let’s celebrate, it’s your birthday after all.”
I rolled my eyes, “it’s also yours in two days.”
“Yeah, but …” his words trail off as he runs the pad of his thumb over my lip, “today brought me you.”
“How does it feel to be with a thirty year old?” The words falling last my lips causing my eyes to roll again. That number just didn’t sit right with me. “I’m officially an old lady.”
“Thirty has never looked better.” He mused, his hand running up my hip and pressing me closer to him. I pulled him into another kiss, his cologne hit me like a tidal wave causing butterflies in my stomach. His hand ran up my neck and gripped me tighter while his tongue begged to enter my mouth. We stayed like that, blissfully unaware of reality until his teammates came over with trays of various shots.
“Okay lover boy that’s enough. Let’s get you drunk.”
One thing about partying with hockey players is all of them have no limits when it comes to spending. I had to finally stop accepting every shot they brought around after the room began to spin. Best part of the night though was that the Devils were in town, so Jack and Luke, Quinn’s brothers were here to celebrate with everyone. This was only my second time meeting them but they were extremely welcoming and treated me like I was their sister. Jack at one point asked me to go dance with him and I couldn’t help but say yes.
“So how does it feel to be thirty?” Jack yelled into my ear as we danced to one of my favourite John Summit songs.
“Terrible. I’m almost a decade older than you!”
“You make thirty look so good though.” He smirks as Luke came behind me and picked me up, causing me to scream at him to put me down. As much as I fought he kept me over his shoulder.
“I just want you to know we fucking love you and you make my brother so happy.” Luke added as he finally put me down, the room was still spinning so I had to brace myself against him to make it stop.
“Thanks buddy.” I jumped a little, feeling Quinn’s hand on my back. His face was flushed, telling me he was taking shots without me.
“Can I have my girlfriend back now?”
“Sorry bro!” Luke kissed the top of my head before him and Jack ran off to grab more drinks.
“You okay?” I asked Quinn as I turned to him, he smelt like whiskey and honey as he brought his lips to my neck.
“I will be.” He mumbles, burrowing his face into my neck. “I’m glad my brothers like you, but you’re my girlfriend. Not theirs.”
“Do you think they’re gonna steal me?” I clasped my mouth, trying to hold in my laughter because I know he was being serious. It was downright adorable.
“Maybe.”
“But I’m yours” I assured him, pressing closer to his body. My hands teaching behind his neck, slipping stands of his hair between my fingers. “No one will ever steal me from you.”
“Prove it.” He replied with such confidence, not taking his eyes off my lips. His hands reached up to my hips, pressing me even closer to him. I gasped as I felt his erection brush up against my leg, “come with me.”
“Where are we going?”
“Trust me.” He mumbled, his eyes glazed with desire and whatever was in his system. I grabbed his hand, not knowing where he was taking me.
Quinn guided me into a private bathroom and locked the door. His hand brushed gently over my chest, hooking his finger under the strap of my dress. I watched him with intent, my heart pounding so fast I was surprised he didn’t feel it.
“You belong to me.” He whispered, slowly bringing me closer to him. My hands braced onto his chest as he captured my mouth into a kiss that started off sweet but grew sloppy.
“Let’s not wait then, birthday boy.”
He smirked so devilishly that I felt something more than butterflies in my stomach. Our kisses were met with biting of lower lips and Quinn grabbed my dress so tight I thought it was going to split. I wasted no time and began to unbutton his pants, dropping to my knees in the process. His dick sprung out of his boxers, dripping with pre-cum as my eyes widened.
“Stick your tongue out baby.”
My exposed tongue was met with his tip as he gently circled over my taste buds. I could taste him already, it was making my mouth salivate and run down my chin.
“Such a good girl.” He breathed as his free hand tugged on my hair. “Open your mouth for me.”
I did as I was told and Quinn slowly slid his erection into my mouth, inch by inch until his tip hit the back of my throat. He bit his lip as I began to slide my mouth up and down, his grip on my hair getting tighter.
“Fuck, baby this feels so good.” He deeply moaned, making me feel it in the back of my throat. “Such a good girl taking my whole dick in that pretty little mouth of yours.”
I could tell he was getting close with how laboured his breathing became. I removed my mouth from him and began to lick his tip that was glistening with my spit. He looked down at me with pleading eyes, as if me mouth fucking him was the only thing keeping him alive.
“Come in my mouth Quinn, I know what you want to.”
“Not yet.” His voice sounded so husky as he motioned for me to stand up. I wiped my mouth, taking a long look at him. “Your turn birthday girl.”
I couldn’t help but giggle as he picked me up and sat me on the bathroom counter. My back rested against the mirror as he spread my legs, situating himself between them. When our eyes met my heart felt like it was going to explode, I’ve never seen him like this before.
“How bad do you need me right now?” He asked, slowly taking my lip between his teeth again.
“I need you so fucking badly.”
He makes his home between my thighs and begins to tease me with his tip. I regretted wearing underwear tonight but feeling his pre cum soak the lace was the sweetest form of torture, and he knew it.
“Tell me again…how bad do you need me?” I couldn’t get a word out. His laugh was dark as he fluttered his somber eyes at me, “use your words sweetheart, what do you want for your birthday?”
“I want you.”
“That’s a good start.” He muses, applying pressure on my thighs with his thumbs, “where do you want me?”
No words were leaving me as I gasped for air. Quinn began to run his mouth over my jaw, down to my collarbone, nipping slightly at the skin. I grabbed his hand and guided it between my thighs, his thumb instantly pressing onto my underwear.
“Right there?” He asks, slowly moving my underwear to the side. A small gasp in satisfaction left him as he felt how soaked I was for him. I just nodded, whimpering already from his touch. “Tell me how much you wish this was my dick instead?”
“Quinn, I need you please … I’m yours.”
“That’s my girl.” He replied so proudly, pushing his tip inside of me slowly. His head falls back once he’s fully inside me and it’s the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen. “Fuck you feel so good, so fucking good.”
Quinn started off slowly, teasing my clit simultaneously with each stroke. He leaned into my ear, continuously praising me as his strokes became faster and harder. Sweat rolled down me as the building started up in my stomach, that familiar flutter began to take over and I knew I was done for. My nails dug into his back as he sinks his teeth into my shoulder as my orgasm left my body.
“Fuck I’m gonna -“
It only took a few seconds before he spilled into me. His hands gently found my face, guiding me to look at him. My legs were still shaking as he kissed me so softly. I was in a complete haze as we broke apart, that one unruly strand of hair fell in front of his face as he studied me. He was so beautiful, there were no other words to describe him.
“Happy birthday, baby.” He mused, gently kissing all the tattoos on my arm. Funny thing,
I never thought he’d go for a girl with a full sleeve and dark hair like me. He struck me as someone who went for blonde Instagram models but, once again he proved me wrong.
“You definitely just gave me the best birthday present ever.” I lightly laughed.
He titled his head to the side, cupping my cheek, “I don’t think anything will be beat the gift you gave me.”
“What’s that?”
“You.”

THE CLASSROOM WAS ALIVE WITH ITS TYPICAL CHAOS AS PER USUAL.
the rustling of papers, the whispers of conversations exchanged between friends, and the occasional snickers of laughter.
you thrived in moments like this, pushing through the crowded rows of desks with a beaming smile and a seemingly endless stream of stories to tell.
and, of course, there was park jisung.
quiet, reserved, and hunched over his studying notes, jisung sat at his usual seat by the window, his expression looking more tired and stressed than usual.
you didn’t know what had exactly drawn you to him initially—maybe it was his quiet presence, the calm that had always seemed to follow him wherever he went. ── 𝖱𝖤𝖲𝖳 𝖡𝖤𝖫𝖮𝖶!
or maybe it was the way he always listened, even when you talked a mile a minute about the most random things.
you weren’t oblivious to what people said about you and jisung—the whispers that followed you down the hallways, the teasing smiles from classmates when they saw you together.
everyone thought you were too much for him, like a bright flame paired with an unmovable stone. but you didn’t care.
at least, you didn’t think you did.
today was no different—at least, it hadn’t started that way. you perched on the edge of jisung’s desk, chattering away as he scribbled in his notebook.
he didn’t say much, just an occasional hum of acknowledgment or a slight nod of his head. but to you, that was enough.
“ji, get this,” you began, leaning closer to him as your hands slapped the table dramatically. “i was walking home yesterday, and this dog—this huge scary dog—came out of nowhere and—”
“y/n,” jisung interrupted, his voice sharp and dismissive.
you froze mid-sentence, blinking at him in surprise.
he sighed, not looking up from his notes. “can you please do me a favour and shut up for a second?”
the silence hung thick in the air.
you blinked again, the smile fading from your face as the classroom noise around you suddenly felt deafening.
“oh,” you mumbled, quickly stepping back from his desk. “okay.”
you turned around before he could say anything else, slipping back into your seat and pulling out your notebook in front of you.
your heart felt heavy, the sting of his words settling deep inside your chest.
behind you, the whispers started almost immediately.
“oh my god.. did you hear that?”
“i mean, he’s not wrong. she’s so loud.”
“doesn’t she know he doesn’t even like her?”
“she’s been following him around for months. it’s so obvious.”
you bit your lip, keeping your head down as their words echoed in your ears. normally, you’d brush it off, but today—today it felt like they were right about you all along.
the rest of the day passed in a blur—you avoided jisung as much as possible, slipping out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang and keeping a notable distance whenever you passed him in the hall.
by the time the final bell rang, signaling the end of the day, you were exhausted—emotionally and physically.
you stood by your locker, pretending to reorganize your books as you watched jisung leave the classroom.
normally, you’d catch up with him and walk to the bus stop together, but today, you let him walk ahead.
at the bus stop, your absence didn’t go unnoticed.
“where’s y/n?” jaemin asked, leaning lazily against the bench. jisung shrugged, his hands stuffed into his pockets as he slightly smiled picturing you running after him just to sit on the bus with him. “i don’t know.”
“you don’t know?” chenle repeated, his tone confused. “you always know. did she get in trouble or something?”
jisung shook his head, though his jaw tightened slightly as he remembered what he said to you a few hours ago. “no..why?”
renjun raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest. “because she’s not here. and the last time i checked, she would rather die than miss a bus ride with you.”
jisung didn’t respond. instead, he stared at the concrete, his hands fidgeting slightly as the bus pulled up.
he didn’t know how to explain the sudden ache in his chest, the uncomfortable emptiness that came with your absence.
when he boarded the bus and saw you sitting in a seat near the front—alone, it hit him all over again.
you didn’t even glance his way as he walked past, sliding into a seat a few rows behind you.
normally, you’d save the seat beside you for him, grinning and waving him over like he was the most important person in the world.
but today, there was only silence.
the bus ride was quiet, other than the occasional whispers of other passengers. jisung spent the entire time staring at the back of your head, his thoughts racing.
he wanted to say something, to apologize, but he quite literally didn’t know how—the words were stuck in his throat.
when the bus finally reached your stop, you got up without looking back, walking silently toward the door.
jisung followed, trailing a few steps behind as you both began the familiar walk home. normally, you’d fill the air with stories and your laughter, your voice the soundtrack to his otherwise quiet life.
but now, there was only the sound of your footsteps, each one heavier than the last.
finally, jisung couldn’t take it anymore.
“y/n,” he said softly, his voice barely audible over the crunch of gravel beneath your feet.
you stopped walking but didn’t turn around. “what?” his heart sank at the coldness in your tone. “are you… mad at me?”
you laughed bitterly, the sound hollow. “mad? no, jisung. i’m not mad.” you turned to face him, and his breath caught in his throat at the sight of your glassy, tear-filled eyes. “i’m hurt.”
the guilt hit him like a slap.
“you told me to shut up,” you continued, your voice trembling. “do you know how much that hurt? and do you know what people say about me? they say you don’t even like me. that i’m just some annoying girl who follows you around. and today, it felt like they were right. like i really am just a burden to you.”
“no,” jisung said immediately, his voice firm and filled with held-back emotion. “that’s not true, y/n. none of that is true.”
“then why did you say it?” you asked, tears rolling down your cheeks now. “why did you tell me to shut up if you don’t think i’m annoying?”
“i was stressed,” he admitted, his shoulders slumping. “i’ve been studying so much, and i wasn’t thinking. i was stupid, and i took it out on you. but y/n…” he stepped closer, his hands trembling slightly as he reached out to touch your shoulder.
“i promise you—you’re not a burden. you’re never a burden. you’re the best part of my day.”
your breath hitched, your heart fluttering at his words.
“i mean it,” he said, his voice filled with vulnerability. “i don’t care what anyone else says. i care about you. you make everything better, even when i’m too stupid to see it.”
before you could respond, jisung pulled you into his arms, holding you tightly against his chest.
his embrace was hesitant at first, like he wasn’t sure if you’d let him, but when you didn’t pull away, he held you tighter.
“i’m sorry,” he whispered, his voice muffled against your hair. “i’m so, so sorry. please don’t avoid me anymore.”
you let out a shaky breath, your hands clutching the fabric of his shirt as you buried your face in his chest. “i just thought…” you trailed off, your voice quiet.
“you don’t have to think anything,” he mumbled, pulling back just enough to look at you. his hands cupped your face, his thumbs gently wiping away your tears.
“just know that i’m here, and i care about you. okay?” you nodded, your cheeks heating under his soft gaze.
the walk home felt different this time. jisung held your hand the entire way, his grip warm and reassuring.
you felt shy now, hyper-aware of every little movement, and every little glance. the air between you was quieter than usual, but it wasn’t uncomfortable—it was gentle and comforting.
when you reached your door, you turned to thank him, but before you could say anything, jisung hesitated.
the tip of his ears were a bright red, and before you could process what was happening, he gently spun you around and pressed a quick kiss to your forehead.
your eyes widened, your heart skipping a beat as you stared at him. his cheeks were undeniably pink now, and he stepped back, avoiding your gaze.
“i—i’ll see you tomorrow,” he mumbled, quickly turning and walking away in the direction of his house.
you stood there for a moment, stunned, before a small grin tugged at the corner of your lips.
maybe jisung wasn’t great with emotions—his words and actions, but in that moment, he’d said everything you needed to hear.

First Date
word count: 1251 || avg. reading time: 5 mins.
pairing: University AU!Tsukishima x chubby!Reader
genre: fluff
warnings: none
request: i have been giggling and squealing for the past 20 minutes over how cute and genius the request form is 😭 LIKE ITS SO SMART AND ADORABLE I HAD TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT IT. so anyways me and Tsukishima are getting 15 and 25 for breakfast, and then we'll go home to study! || fluffy, members of the same club, first date with crush Tsukki
Tsukishima never subscribed to the tradition of New Year's resolutions. In his mind, why bother setting unrealistic goals for oneself only to be disappointed? Whenever his friends and family asked, never learning their lesson, he would adjust his glasses and say, “Nothing.”, then silently add get saltier 2025. When he entered the gym for the first time after the winter break, however, he had to rethink. You were standing on a little stepladder, struggling to detach the last bit of Christmas decoration you had insisted on hanging on the walls before everyone went home for the holidays. Your chubby tummy looked even softer now bumping out your seasonal sweater.
“You know, if you can’t take them down by yourself, maybe you shouldn’t have put them up in the first place.”, he grumbled.
“Oh, hey, and a happy new year to you, Tsukki!”, you said brightly, turning to him and waving.
His heart did a little jump at the gesture.
Unfortunately, he had fallen for you pretty early on in your career as club manager when you bonded over your mutual hatred of overzealous people and loud obnoxious music played in department stores, and artificial watermelon flavor. He had since imagined you two walking across campus hand in hand, sharing more things to despise together. But in order to do that, he had to ask you out first. A hurdle he decided to take this year.
In his first draft of a date idea, he wanted to invite you out to dinner, but that was strongly vetoed by his wallet. Thus, a simple coffee would have to do for now. He shifted slightly, tapping the tip of his shoe on the floor to find an angle with which to direct the conversation where he needed it. Lucky for him, you did it yourself, although not in a way he hoped.
“Mikoshiba asked me out over Christmas, by the way.”
Tsukishima grimaced. He hated both the thought and the easy-going redhead, who all too much reminded him of the former Nekoma captain.
“Ah.”, he said, looking at a despicably jolly Santa bauble in the box sat on the top of the stepladder. An internal battle between wanting to ask for details and immediately smack-talking the other guy rose in his chest. Again, you made it easy for him.
“I didn’t go, though.”
“Hm. How come?”
You finally got the end of the garland off the wall, with no help from the tall boy, who could have grabbed it without effort.
He was met with a shrug.
“Not really my type. And he asked me out for coffee, which, I dunno, just feels pretty uninspired for a first date. I get that it’s a classic, but I wouldn’t mind some creativity.”, you hopped back onto the floor, “Plus, cafés around here are super overpriced.”
“Right.”
After trying your best to stuff the long prickly decoration into the box, you went to put it all away and, looking over your shoulder, you saw that he hadn’t moved from his spot next to the ladder where you left him.
You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but something about him was off today. More so than usual. Box in your arms, you came to a halt in front of a closed door. You turned on your heel, tilting your head in question.
“Could you open the door to the supply closet, please?”, you asked sweetly, since there was no indication he would be coming to your aid. He seemed deep in thought.
“Hm? Oh, yeah. Sure.”
It only took him three steps with those long legs to reach you. Before he pushed down the door handle, however, he said, “There is a limited New Year’s hot bun out at the convenience store.”
You blinked in confusion.
“Okay?”
“It’s one with sweet potato noodles and stuff. You like those.”
“I… I do. Thanks, I’ll check it out.”
The door remained closed, his hand still on the handle.
“There is a two-for-one sale.”, he went on after a pause.
You frowned, so completely lost as to the point of this conversation because it was obviously not informing you of a banging sale. “... Nice.”
He suppressed an impatient click of his tongue. This was going horribly, how dense could someone be?
“We can go together.”, he said.
“Alright…?”
“Like… today. I’m going there now anyway. I wouldn’t mind if you came along.”
“Uhm. Okay, yeah, I can do that.”
“Okay.”
“So are you gonna open this door any time soon or…”
“Right.”
Tsukki didn’t speak much with you as you headed to the convenience store. He pointed out a dog in a sweater for no reason at all and then went silent again. You still couldn’t figure out why he wanted you to come with him. Usually, he avoided any unnecessary social situation and in your opinion, this was as unnecessary as it got. You were roughly 94 percent sure he could handle getting the buns by himself.
“We should just eat here while we’re at it.”, he said as the glass doors slid open.
Maybe he had trouble with his roommate again and wanted to prolong going home, you speculated. In that case, you were pretty touched that he preferred your company over having none at all.
Food was gathered and warmed up and you took the two free seats at the small wooden table by the onigiri shelf. Watching you struggle to open a can of soda for a few seconds he took it from you with a surprisingly gentle, “Here. Let me.” then set it back down in front of you.
“Thanks.”
You ate in silence. Some current chart songs were coming from the overhead radio and you lightly bobbed your head along as you bit happily into the delicious hot bun. Tsukki placed a fried dumpling he had picked out as well on the plastic lid of your open container. “Try these. They’re good.”
“Famks.”, you mumbled through stuffed cheeks of sweet potato noodles and stuff, then eyed him suspiciously as you swallowed.
Either he was trying to discreetly poison you or, “Tsukki… is … is this a date?”
“What? No.”, he said quickly and lowered his head when the store clerk looked over.
“Oh okay. Just making sure.” You went back to the food, spearing the dumpling with your chopsticks but keeping an eye on him.
“If it were, it would be definitely more creative than a café though, right?”
You paused midair to your bite.
“So this is a date.”
“Yes. - No. I dunno. Don’t make it weird, okay?”
You slowly spun the dumpling around, studying Tsukki’s pink ear tips.
Never in a million years would you have guessed that this guy, who never had a nice word for anyone and less enthusiasm than a snail on a Sunday afternoon, could ever ask you out.
You considered him for a moment. He was pretty cute the way he avoided your gaze now. It was worth a try.
“Do you… like jazz?”
Tsukki squinted at you in disbelief.
“What’s wrong with you?”, he furrowed his brow but was unable to hide a relieved chuckle in there.
“Well, it was getting awkward so when in doubt, Bee Movie to the rescue.”, you laughed in your defense.
He finally cracked a proper smile and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Agh, okay, the next date is going to be better, I swear.”
You both nodded and grinned quietly at your dumplings, then continued to eat.
a/n: 🥺🥺🥺 dear anon, thank you so so much for that sweet message and I apologize about the delay! I hope you enjoyed this story nonetheless 🌟

Butterfly, Fly Away (part one)
Aizawa feels out of breath. Despite the fact that he drove to the daycare center, it feels like he ran the whole way. He doesn’t run inside, but he does do an awkward half jog to get in there quickly without looking like some sort of lunatic.
The room, as expected, is a disaster. Kids are crying. Drawings have been torn up and thrown around, chairs have been overturned. Eri is at the center of it all, with an uninterrupted scream at the top of her lungs that he’s sure has lasted at least a full minute by the way her red face is slowly starting to show hints of purple.
Eri has been kicked out of another daycare.
She skips alongside him merrily as he walks back to the car with him, her little purple bag in one hand while the other holds her own pudgy little palm. You would think that she was a perfectly well behaved little angel if you saw her now, no traces left of her hurricane of an outburst mere minutes ago.
There was a familiar throbbing pain forming like a tight band around his skull.
Once they were in the car, Eri kicking her feet in her carseat and playing with the straps of her bag, Aizawa couldn’t help but spare glances at her in the rearview mirror when he stopped at all the stop signs on the way back to the high school. His daughter was the best, most important thing in his life. He loved her more than anything, no matter what. He just didn’t know what to do with her anymore.
As he parked in his designated spot, five minutes left of his lunch break, Eri hurriedly tried to unbuckled her carseat before Aizawa could get to her. It was a game she liked to play, despite the fact that her clumsy fingers hadn’t yet grown strong enough to fully press the big red button that released the clips. But Aizawa didn’t get out of the car to come around and unbuckle her yet.
“Hurry daddy!” she taunts, grunting as her fingers slip as they always do. “I’m gonna beat you this time!”
“What happened, Eri?”
She paused, looking up at him with those eyes that look almost too big for her head in the sweetest way. She looked unphased. Unashamed, unapologetic.
“I didn’t like it there,” was the simple answer she gave. “Daycare is stupid.”
“But honey,” he sighed, “you know that you have to go. And don’t use the word stupid, please.”
The little girl starts to shift uncomfortably in her seat, no longer trying to unbuckle her restrictive straps, but attempting to pull them down her shoulders instead.
“Why?” she asks, an edge beginning to form where a smooth curve used to exist in her voice. “Why can’t I just come with you to big kid school?”
“Because next year you’ll have to start going to kindergarten, so you can learn new things and make friends. I won’t be able to just drop everything and come get you. Instead you’ll be forced to either sit in your classroom or sit in the principal’s office for hours until big kid school is done.”
Eri slumps in her seat. The tears are welling in her eyes and Aizawa has to look above her head in order to keep talking with her.
“This is the fourth daycare you’ve been kicked out of, honey. That’s not good.”
Eri turns her face away. “Guess you’ll have to maybe take me to a new one then,” she says.
“I can’t.” At this she perks up, catching the feeling of excitement in those little hands of hers before it slips from her grasp and runs off when she sees her dad do that thing where he drags his hand down the entirety of his face and then rubs at his scruffy jaw. “This was the last daycare in our area that I can afford. No more daycares.”
“So I’ll have to come to school with you now, right?” she asks, hopeful eyes shining with a few embarrassed tears that hadn’t yet gone away.
Aizawa doesn’t say anything. He gets out of the car, opens her door, and helps her out of her seatbelt.
“Come on,” he says, holding her bag in one hand and her palm in the other. “Today you get to watch my students take a pop quiz.”
Class 1-A loves Eri. They love to dote on her, like she’s their princess and they are nothing but her humble servants. They don’t bat an eye when she shows up during the second half of the day anymore, used to their visibly stressed teacher sitting her down with coloring pages and an old cd player (there’s no way in hell he would ever put an ipad in her hands) in a poor attempt at a fort under his desk. They felt bad for him, really, knowing how hard he’s had it since…
They also like to sneak little snacks and fidget toys to her when he’s not looking. They get passed down the rows of desks like contraband, making a wide loop around the goody-goodies that rat them out. They think they’re helping, really they do. And it’s endearing. But it makes it more difficult for him, in all actuality, when he’s trying to convince Eri that his classroom is not the place for her to be and they’re doing everything to make it friendly for her. They even stopped swearing when Eri made her little visits. (At least, they tried their best.)
“They’re like her gang of babysitters,” Aizawa explains to Mic as he pulls out a bottle of scotch from the baby proofed cupboard above the fridge and two glasses. Eri had been put to bed an hour prior, after having her bath and getting her hair braided and insisting on TWO stories tonight; one from her dad and one from her godfather. “It just makes her want to be there even more.”
“Maybe that’s what you two need,” Mic says from the sofa, helping himself to some chips and dip.
“What?”
“You know, a babysitter,” the blond elaborates. “Or a nanny, in this case.”
Aizawa’s brow furrows. His lips turn down. Mic can already tell this is going to take a lot of selling. “What’s the difference?”
“Nannies do more,” Mic says, his mouth partially full. He gave up on manners around Aizawa sometime around… well, they met in middle school, so he probably never had them in the first place. “Babysitters are for, like, date nights and stuff.”
“I definitely don’t need one of those,” Aizawa grumbles, handing Mic his glass before settling onto the couch himself.
“Nannies are more long term,” Mic continues, not addressing the comment, “they would stay with her at home the whole day while you work, maybe do some tidying or run some errands for you. It’s like daycare, but more personal and actually not at all like daycare. You just have someone watching your kid all day.”
Aizawa groans, gulping down most of his drink in one go. “I don’t want some stranger in my house alone with my kid. That sounds terrible.”
“Man, they call them nanny cams for a reason. And when you use the websites they do background checks.”
“How do you know so much about nannies?” Aizawa asks suspiciously. Mic had no kids. He had no nieces or nephews. All he had were a bunch of elementary school students singing the same ten annoying songs off key.
“Remember the lady with the two kids I was hooking up with while they were with their dad? She had a nanny.”
“And how long after you stopped seeing the mom did you start sleeping with the nanny?” Aizawa asked, an eyebrow raised.
“Hey, it’s completely a coincidence that I met her nanny out at a bar one night, okay? Swear on my life. Not like I ever met her before then, I never met the kids!”
“Whatever,” Aizawa says, downing the last of his drink before pouring another. “I’m not getting a nanny.”
“You at least gotta think about it,” Mic says, “you don’t have many other choices here. Unless you want to call your mom and have her-”
“Absolutely not.”
“Then I recommend you take the weekend to research nanny websites,” Mic says. “You can’t bring your kid to work with you every day. It’s not good for her. It’s not good for you.” Mic leaves his unfinished drink on the coffee table, knowing Aizawa will just drink the rest himself after he leaves. “I should tuck in for the night. Think about it, alright? And I’m right down the street if you ever need anything. And-”
“Good night, Mic.”
“Later.”
Aizawa stays on the couch, sitting in the same spot, staring at the wall in front of him for an hour before he finally sighs to himself.
“Don’t have many other choices,” he grumbles as he pulls his laptop out of his work bag and starts his google search, Mic’s unfinished glass of scotch in hand.

What If I Said Yes? - Kim Donghyun
Leehan x fem. reader
Note: I confess that sometimes I also feel tired of being a girl. But then I think that I actually just need someone to make me feel like a real girl.
Warning: Friends to lovers, fluff, drabble.
The rain tapped against the window, the rhythmic sound filling the quiet of your room.
You lay on your bed, staring at the ceiling as the weight of the day pressed down on you.
Nothing had gone right.
First, you’d forgotten your umbrella and arrived at school drenched.
Then, the test you’d spent countless nights studying for turned out to be full of questions that seemed written in a foreign language.
And to top it all off, the group chat with your friends was silent — everyone seemed too busy to talk.
With a frustrated sigh, you grabbed your phone, scrolling aimlessly through your messages. His name was at the top of your recent chats: Leehan.
Leehan was… complicated.
He was the kind of person who could light up a room with just a smile and always seemed to know the right thing to say.
You couldn’t deny the flutter in your chest every time you thought of him. But you two weren’t anything official. Just friends.
Friends with an unspoken tension that neither of you dared to address.
Without giving yourself time to overthink, you opened the chat and typed:
Being a girl sucks.
The moment you hit send, regret washed over you.
What if he thought you were being overly dramatic? Or worse, what if he didn’t respond at all? But before you could dwell on it, your phone vibrated.
Being my girl wouldn’t.
You blinked at the screen, your heart skipping a beat.
Did he really just say that? Typical Donghyun, always so confident, always knowing how to throw you off balance.
Still, you tried to play it cool.
Oh yeah? And what would make it so different?
This time, he didn’t reply with a text. Your phone buzzed with an incoming call, and his name lit up the screen.
You hesitated for a moment before answering, already feeling the nervous flip in your stomach.
“Do you really want me to explain this over text?” His voice was low, teasing, and it sent a shiver down your spine.
You bit your lip, trying to ignore the warmth spreading through your chest.
“I thought you were busy today” you said, feigning nonchalance.
“I always have time for you.”
You rolled your eyes, but you couldn’t stop the small smile creeping onto your face. Kim always had this effect on you, and he knew it.
“Alright, convince me then. Why would being your girl be so amazing?”
He laughed softly, the sound so warm and genuine that it made your heart flutter.
“Well, for starters, I’d make you laugh every day. Like right now — I know you’re trying not to smile even though I’m totally getting to you.”
“I’m not smiling!” You protested, though it was a blatant lie.
“Sure you aren’t.” He paused, and you could almost picture the smirk on his face.
“And more than that, I’d remind you every single day how amazing you are. On bad days, like today, I’d take you out for your favorite milkshake or do something dumb to distract you — like singing terrible karaoke songs.”
For a moment, you didn’t respond, the warmth in your chest growing stronger. His words were so simple, yet they meant so much more than he probably realized.
“And what if I said I want to test that theory?” You asked, surprised by your own boldness.
There was a brief silence on the other end before leehan spoke, his voice slightly lower, almost serious.
“Then I guess you just became my girl.”
Your heart was racing now, but at the same time, you felt an unexpected calm, like this was where you were meant to be all along.
“Okay” you said, trying to keep your tone light. “But I’m holding you to that milkshake part.”
He laughed again, the sound sending butterflies straight to your stomach.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
And for the first time that day, everything felt right.
Maybe, just maybe, being a girl wasn’t so bad — at least, not if you were his girl.

જ⁀♡⊹。° i can still see you
( bachira meguru x gn! reader )
♡ a/n — for my new series :)
♡ content — bachira meguru x gn! reader, gn! reader, friends to lovers, established relationship, you can infer they're engaged at the end :) , mentions of bachira's demon, set before blue lock then goes to when he's playing pro soccer, made this with him being 20+ in my mind
♡ synopsis — Bachira Meguru didn’t need to be part of other people's world all those years ago. He had always been destined to make his own, and you had been with him every step of the way.
The sharp whistle of the coach’s signal echoed across the field, but it didn’t faze Bachira. He’d grown used to its bite, to the way it demanded more from him than he was allowed to give. His teammates moved like clockwork around him—predictable, synchronized, and utterly boring.
He saw opportunities they never did, tiny gaps in their defense that begged to be exploited. But no one ever passed him the ball. When he waved, calling for it, they ignored him or chose someone else.
“Stop trying to show off, Bachira,” one teammate sneered after a scrimmage. “This isn’t street soccer.”
Bachira didn’t answer. He never did. He just smiled, letting their words roll off him, though it stung more than he cared to admit.
From the bleachers, he caught sight of you, the only person who never looked at him like he didn’t belong. You sat with your chin resting on your hands, watching him intently like you always did, and when his gaze met yours, you waved.
The smile that tugged at his lips this time was real.
“You shouldn’t let them get to you, you know,” you said later, sitting cross-legged on the grass beside him. The team had long since cleared out, but Bachira lingered. He always did. It was as if he couldn’t leave the field until it felt like his, even if only for a moment.
“I’m not letting them get to me,” he replied, his voice light, but you saw the way his fingers picked at the edge of his shoelaces. “I don’t need them anyway. I’ve got my monster.”
“Your monster,” you echoed, leaning back on your palms. “What’s it saying today?”
Bachira tilted his head, like he was listening to something only he could hear. “It says I’m right. That I’m better off alone.”
You frowned. “Meguru, that’s not true.”
He shrugged, but the motion felt hollow. “Maybe it is. They don’t want me here. They think I’m weird, right? Maybe I don’t belong.”
The words were soft, quieter than he usually spoke, and they made your chest ache.
“You don’t belong with them,” you said firmly, and his head shot up to look at you. “You’re better than that.”
A laugh bubbled from his lips, and it was bright, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “You always say that. Better than what?”
“Better than their small minds,” you shot back. “Better than this boring little team that doesn’t know how lucky they are to have you.”
His smile faltered for the briefest moment, replaced by something softer, something almost vulnerable.
“You really think that?”
You leaned forward, your voice steady and sure. “I know that. You’re not like them, Meguru, and that’s not a bad thing. One day, someone’s going to see what makes you special. Someone besides me.”
His laugh this time was genuine. “Someone besides you? Impossible.”
You smiled, nudging his shoulder with yours. “You’ll see. And when it happens, I’ll be the first one cheering for you. Always.”
Bachira’s golden eyes sparkled under the fading sunlight, and the grin on his face stretched wide. It wasn’t the same grin he used to mask his pain—it was the kind of smile he reserved only for you.
He didn’t say anything back, but the way his shoulder lingered against yours told you everything you needed to know.
The crowd erupted as the ball sailed past the goalkeeper, slamming into the back of the net with precision and flair. Another goal for FC Barcha, courtesy of Bachira Meguru.
The stadium roared with chants of his name, the commentators losing their minds over his second goal of the night. His teammates rushed toward him, arms outstretched, ready to celebrate, but Bachira was already moving, sprinting past them all.
His golden eyes scanned the VIP section, searching, and when they landed on you, his grin widened into something radiant, something that belonged to no one else but you.
He stopped in the middle of the field, ignoring the chaos around him, and pointed at his heart with two fingers, tapping twice. Then, he turned his hand and pointed directly at you.
You stood there, hands cupped over your mouth, tears already pricking at the corners of your eyes. The ring on your finger caught the stadium lights, sparkling like a star, and when you started clapping, the entire section followed your lead.
You were the first one to cheer for him—just like you always had been.
Bachira’s teammates finally caught up to him, tackling him into a celebratory hug, but his gaze stayed locked on you. Through all the noise, through all the glory of the game, there was only one person who truly mattered.
He didn’t need to be part of their world all those years ago. He had always been destined to make his own, and you had been with him every step of the way.
meguru bachira they could never make me hate you

“touching toes”
rafe cameron social media au
“he’s over more and more, had to give him a whole drawer. to be honest, kinda like seeing his trainers by the door.” — olivia dean, ‘touching toes’.
synopsis: after finishing her fashion studies at college in nyc, y/n moves to outerbanks to live with her grandparents. she worries about the loneliness that comes with being in a new place, knowing only her cousin topper and other relatives… that is until she is acquainted with a certain cameron.
part — 19 | 20 | 21
masterlist
“it’s not that complicated, though is it?” sarah pushed on, “i mean, you like him, don’t you?”
your head snapped to look at her, completely taken aback: was it that obvious? her face filled with curiosity and a glint of mischief as she ushered you to answer.
“i… i think so,” your voice barely above a whisper as you finally admitted it aloud. saying it made it feel more real causing heat to rise in your cheeks.
“oh my god,” her tone equally filled with shock and delight, “you like him!”
realisation hit you, your best friend was smart… too smart. she didn’t actually know if you liked her brother, but in stating her assumption as fact she had managed to encourage a confession from you.
“don’t make it a big deal!” you said quickly, as she clamped her mouth shut with her palm, a grin poking through, “it already feels complicated enough.”
sarah laughed, sitting up, “how is it complicated? i mean you’re into him… rafe’s into you. seems pretty straightforward to me.”
“rafe’s into me?” you echoed. of course, he’d confessed it to you earlier, but you were a strong believer in actions speak louder than words. hearing it aloud, from someone else, ignited butterflies in your stomach.
“he doesn’t just post anyone’s arse,” sarah burst out laughing as you took a pillow from behind you, swatting her with it, “okay, okay! i’m joking, i just mean he seems different around you, i’ve noticed it.”
you bit your lip, nodding slightly, “it’s just new, and messy, and we’re still figuring it out…”
there was a silent pause between you both, allowing your thoughts to simmer, “i’m sorry… for lying about it. when you asked me earlier, i said there was nothing going on—”
“hey, you don’t owe me anything,” she smiled, holding your cheek, “it’s a weird situation, i get it. if it makes you happy, i’ll support you… even if it is with my brother.”
her words helped relieve the weight building in your chest, “thank you.”
“just promise me,” sarah started, her tone more serious suddenly, “you tell me if he screws this up. immediately.” a chuckle erupted from you, smiling as she continued, “i’m serious, y/n. if he hurts you, i will absolutely kick his ass.”
“deal,” the pair of you shook hands, cementing the ‘deal’, an immense feeling of gratitude settled between you.
“good,” she returned to lying back on the bed, pulling the blanket over herself. “now, go to sleep. i need my best friend looking fresh and fabulous at my show, tomorrow.”
“love you, sarah,” you mumbled, as you settled back in the covers and turned on your side.
“love you too.”
what a success: you’d told your best friend about your antics with her brother, and she didn’t threaten to saw your head off… you highly doubted you’d have the same outcome when it came to your cousin, but that was a problem for another day.

the next morning, soft sunlight filtered through the curtains of the hotel room, casting a warm glow in the scattered clothes and open suitcases from the whirlwind of sarah’s preparation. you were sitting on the edge of the bed, sipping coffee, while sarah hummed to herself, pacing back and forth as she readied herself for the fashion show.
a knock at the door pulled both of you from your respective tasks, sarah glanced at you, raising an eyebrow, “room service?”
you shook your head. “i didn’t order anything.”
“can you get it?” she shrugged, returning to what she had been doing.
you set your coffee down and crossed the room, opening the door to reveal rafe. he was dressed casually, his hair tousled like he’d just rolled out of bed. he gave you a crooked grin as his eyes swept over you.
“morning,” he said, his voice low and teasing, “miss me?”
you smiled, but before you could respond, sarah’s voice cut through the room, “who is it?”
you hesitated for a moment, stepping aside to let rafe in. he walked in casually, but the moment sarah saw him, her eyes narrowed.
“of course,” she muttered under her breath, crossing her arms as she glared at him. “you couldn’t even wait until after the show, could you?”
you watched as rafe glanced between you and sarah, clearly confused by her sudden hostility.
you sighed, stepping closer to him. “she knows,” you said softly, you voice low enough that sarah wouldn’t overhear as she continued getting ready.
his eyes widened slightly, “knows? about us?”
“yeah,” you admitted, biting your lip, “i told her last night. she kind of figured it out after… well, after the post.”
rafe groaned, rubbing the back of his neck. “great,” he muttered, “and how mad is she?”
“not that mad,” sarah cut in, clearly eavesdropping on the conversation. she stepped closer, her arms remained crossed but her expression was softer now. “just annoyed that you couldn’t keep it under wraps for, like, five minutes. you do realise your ‘fan girls’ are already sniffing around about this, right?”
rafe shrugged, leaning against the wall of the hotel room. “it’s not like i planned it, sarah. i just posted a silly picture. i didn’t think it’d turn into this big thing.”
“of course you didn’t,” sarah said, rolling her eyes, “but you’re not exactly known for thinking things through, are you?”
“hey!” he protested, but his tone was light. he glanced at you, as you watched the siblings bicker in front of you, his lips twitching into a smirk, “well, at least she didn’t threaten to kill me.”
sarah sighed dramatically. “don’t tempt me,” but her lips quirked into a small smile, her irritation fading, “look, i don’t care what’s going on between you two as long as you don’t mess it up. and rafe? if you hurt her, i swear to god —“
“i know,” he interrupted, holding his hands up in surrender, “you’ve got a whole speech ready, i’m sure.”
“damn right i do,” sarah muttered, before turning back to her mirror, effectively ending the conversation.
rafe took the opportunity to step closer to you, you back pressed up against his chest as his large bicep covered the front of your torso, pulling you close. “so… she’s cool with it?” he questioned, in between the kisses he was placing down your neck.
you nodded, feeling the warmth of his touch, as you turned to look at him.
small smiles painted the faces of you both, as rafe leaned in. your heart skipped a beat, and you felt all your anxieties about the situation melt away.
“go and get ready,” you started, attempting to pull out of his grasp — it was no use — as you giggled, “and i’ll see you at the show, yeah? save you a seat.”

red string theory || lotte wubben-moy x reader
summary: the first time you see lotte wubben moy, you didnt actually see her.
your life was always connected because you are meant to be.
warnings: none, just fluffy fluff with my lotte girl
from this request
a/n: i hope its okay what i wrote it about lotte because i thought this request is so lotte coded
wc: 1,739 words
"Are you nervous about tomorrow?" my work colleague, who is also my best friend, Jules, looks at me with a focused expression.
A few years ago, I attended college in the USA, where I ran my own sports blog for the university newspaper. I especially enjoyed writing about the women’s football team because I witnessed the sport gaining more popularity there.
It felt so empowering to see how all the girls were following their dreams, and I always wanted to share their stories so everyone could see their passion.
I was packing all my work stuff into my bag when Jules called out my name.
"Y/N, can you please help me real quick?"
I sighed but stopped what I was doing and walked into the salesroom.
"Can you make a latte macchiato real quick? Table 7 has a big order, and I’m swamped. Sorry for interrupting you," she said.
I smiled softly at her before glancing at the girl who had ordered the latte. I barely registered her, only noticing how graceful her movements were.
It felt kind of ironic that my last customer of the day would be such a mysterious woman.
But life moved on, as it always does, and that moment faded into the countless fleeting, insignificant encounters you never expect to think about again. Until much later.
----
"Oh my girl, Jules, you made it!" I pulled her into a tight hug.
"Of course! It's your graduation today! I'm so proud of you, my little nerd."
After three years of hard work, endless studying, and way too much crying, I’m finally done. I’m now a certified sports journalist with a focus on women’s football. I couldn’t be happier.
"Now it’s time for you to introduce me to your girlfriend! I can’t wait to meet the mysterious Alessia in person."
Her smile grew even wider as I mentioned her girlfriend. "Come on, she’s right over there, chatting with an old friend from university she randomly ran into here."
----
I’ve checked my phone. 8:00. I arrived at the training ground of THE Arsenal Women’s Football Club.
When I sent my application to a few football clubs as a media coordinator, I never thought my childhood club would hire me. I spent the last few days looking for an outfit and stayed awake the whole night out of nervousness.
It’s already my second week, and I’m still not used to being around all these inspiring and energizing women. You weren’t exactly starstruck, but there was something about being around people you’d admired from afar that left you feeling slightly unsteady.
But it’s different with Lotte. From day one, she helped me with everything. Lotte, however, had a way of disarming you with her easy demeanor. When she introduced herself, it was as if you hadn’t spent the last three days binge-watching match highlights featuring her perfect tackles and precise passes.
Over the weeks, you got used to seeing her around the training ground. She always made an effort to say hi, even if it was just a quick wave or a casual “How’s it going?” Each interaction was brief, professional, and—you told yourself—entirely inconsequential. Except that, somehow, you found yourself looking forward to them.
She had this smile and the way she cared about everyone around her that sticks in my mind, and I can’t stop thinking about her even after work. It’s like we’ve known each other for years.
---
Today was Media Day, and even though I love the girls, I was relieved to have a moment for myself in the cafeteria. Suddenly, someone asked, 'May I join?' At first, I didn’t realize they were talking to me, but when my eyes met my favorite defender's, I knew Lotte was the one addressing me.
'Not at all,' I replied, gesturing to the empty seat.
I don’t want to admit it, but knowing I wasn’t paired up with Lotte for today’s interviews made me a bit sad. That’s why I’m even happier to spot her here during my little break.
She set down her tray, which held a steaming bowl of soup and a sandwich that looked far too healthy for my taste. 'So, how’s life in the media world? Still surviving?'
I chuckled at her words. 'It’s going well. After today, I have a lot of videos to edit, and I still write a blog for a college newspaper, with the deadline coming up, so I’m a bit stressed. The time difference with the USA makes it even harder. But who am I complaining to? I’m sure your schedule is even more packed.' I babbled, feeling a bit embarrassed that I hadn’t stopped talking. It was just a simple question—no need to turn it into a whole essay.
She listened closely the entire time, trying to keep up with me. "Really? You’re very ambitious about your job. I like that. You mentioned the USA. Are you writing for an American college?"
I felt seen, and it made me feel special. I adore her so much. I gathered my thoughts again to answer her.
"Yes! I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and have always had a passion for writing. They had a women’s football team that was still in its early stages. They inspired me so much that I decided to write about them in the weekly college newspaper. Sorry for beating around the bush, yes, I write for an American college." My cheeks turned red because, once again, I rambled on.
I noticed the sudden change in her behavior. "Wait, really?" She looked at me, kind of stunned and questioning. "I’ve been to UNC too, before signing professionally for Arsenal. Do you mean the North Carolina Tar Heels? I played for them while you were writing for them."
I widened my eyes in disbelief. "That caught me off guard—wow. We’ve been so close and never talked to each other."
“It’s like we were orbiting each other,” she said one day, her voice thoughtful. “Like we were always meant to meet, but the timing just wasn’t right.”
Her words stuck with me, replaying in my mind long after she’d said them.
---------
Over the next few weeks, sometimes Lotte would bring me a coffee. A few days later, I noticed something as she handed me the cup. "Since when do you get your coffee from that shop near Covent Garden? The one with the green awning?" She looked confused and stuttered, "Since forever. It's my favorite coffee shop. Do you know it?"
"Are you joking? I worked there a few years ago."
“I can’t believe this. It’s like we’ve been circling each other our whole lives.”
This connection with Lotte feels so magical, I can’t even process how life always seemed to bring us together.
“Maybe it’s fate,” you said softly, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
She smiled, a slow, knowing smile that made your heart skip a beat. “Maybe it is.”
-------
As the weeks turned into months, your relationship with Lotte continued to grow stronger. The bond you shared deepened, built on a foundation of shared history and the undeniable pull you felt toward each other.
One evening, as you sat on her couch with a cup of tea in hand, she reached over and intertwined her fingers with yours.
“You know,” she said softly, her voice quiet, “I’ve always believed in timing. That everything happens when it’s meant to.”
You looked at her, your heart full. “And what about us? What does this timing mean?”
She smiled, her eyes warm and steady. “It means we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
And for the first time, you believed her.

abstragedy week day 2!
confession
gangle’s pov!
this is it..! today’s the day i tell zooble just how i feel. the complete, honest truth. ragatha and pomni both seem convinced that they’re into me too, but honestly..? why would they be? they’re so cool and smart and strong and kind.. and i’m just me. it feels hopeless. but i promised i’d try. and what better way to try other than art?
i grab my pencils and sketchpad, and start sketching away. they’re the one i like drawing most out of all my friends. their simple shapes make it easy to break down and simplify, and i can add whatever limbs i like-! i can even design new ones, and i love that type of creative freedom. though, this time, it seems like each and every attempt i make isn’t good enough. their eyes too far apart, head too small.. nothing looks right. nothing feels like it’s right for zooble. it’s not perfect enough..!
eventually, i put my equipment down, a small stifled sob leaving me. and another. and another. more and more, until i completely break down in tears, trembling a little from how hard i’m crying. i just wanted this to be right for them.. for it to be perfect. they deserve that, no matter how much they tell me they love how i draw them. there’s a look in their eyes, a look of distance and longing. as if they want something more, something different. and i want to be the one to give them what they want, even if i don’t exactly know what that is.
i recollect myself, stepping outside my room and heading to the grounds, which i know they’re hanging out at. talking to ragatha, as she promised she’d distract them whilst i got my art ready. but, i don’t have a drawing to give them. only words of pure, genuine love.
“..zooble..? can i talk to you.?” i ask, stammering. i don’t dare to look them in the eyes, as if simply that would give away my intentions. irregardless, they met me with that familiar cool kindness.
“hey, gangle, what’s up?” they ask. despite not having a mouth, i could see a smile on their eyes, a smile that was truly glad to see me. they were happy to see me. this was the norm, but every time i still got those familiar butterflies in my stomach, that joy of someone as cool and unbothered as them being truly happy to see me.
i take a few deep breaths, bracing myself for what im about to confess. “..ithinkiminlovewithyou- like, ever since the day we first met you’ve done nothing but be so, so, so kind and honest to me and just- you’re perfect- i love you so, so, so, so , so much- and it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way, i’ll understand-“ i ramble, only managing to put my hand over my mouth after everything had spilled out. oh, no…
i finally look up at them, being met with soft, wide eyes. “oh- uh- i don’t know what to say-“ they begin, causing my heart to stop and stomach drop. but what they said next changed my world: “..i love you too, gangle. i don’t know why i didn’t tell you sooner.. but, yeah. i love you.”
i immediately squeal and envelop them in a hug of pure love and joy. they’ve never exactly been a great hugger, but i don’t mind.
i love them no matter what.

“LOATHING” - (joe burrow x oc)
CHAPTER THREE - “thru the phone”
word count: 1.9k
warnings: 18+ (MDNI)! perv!joe, a wet dream happens, joe has a voice kink, jerking off, over the phone stuff…joe is just really horny this chapter 😭
winnie sighs as she walks into her physics class, spotting a seat next to joe and getting her things out. she had been pushed and almost trampled by all the tall students roaming the halls. it was annoying, but thankfully, she made it.
“god, winnie,” joe snickers, looking at winnie’s disheveled and frustrated appearance, “you look like you just woke up.”
“well. i did. but also, people roam the halls with no sense of awareness,” she groans, putting her book on top of her desk, “or urgency.”
joe chuckles, knowing that winnie hates getting to her classes. even when they were in middle school together, winnie struggled with transitioning between classes.
“yeah? well, that’s the life of a student for you.” he nudges her shoulder, getting a small smile from her.
oddly enough, there’s something about winnie. he’s not sure if it's the fact that she styles her hair, or if she does a bit of makeup, or if it’s her fidgeting. maybe it’s the small pout she does when focusing. but she looks…pretty. really pretty.
joe watches as kaori continues getting her things out, deciding to take a brief moment to speak up.
“hey…you got a volleyball game today, right?”
winnie looks at joe, nodding with a smile. “mhm…why?”
joe grins, raising an eyebrow. “i’m gonna come and watch.”
her gaze softens. truth be told, she really did want joe to be there. she would never say that part out loud, of course. that’s straight up embarrassing. but hearing that he’ll be attending the game did make her heart swell with joy.
“really?” she asks, leaning back in her seat, “i’ll hold you to that.”
“trust me. i’ll always be around if it means i’m supporting you.” joe affirms, his eyes gleaming with a specific fondness to them.
for a moment, a brief moment, the both of them were locking eyes. they may have been looking at each other for longer than necessary, but they couldn’t look away. it’s like they were magnetized.
the bell rings, interrupting their moment. despite this, they share a brief smile, their faces both being bright red.
———————
winnie was warming up with the team as more and more people filled the gym. saying she was nervous would be an understatement. nonetheless, she’s aware of what she needs to do. after all, she finally made the team! this was the exact moment that she’s been waiting for.
as she practices hitting and serving the ball, she notices joe walk in with his friends, ja’marr and justin. his hair is styled with a few curls against his forehead, and he is wearing a sweatshirt with some black joggers. though his outfit is simple, winnie finds it…attractive?
no. snap out of it winnie. now is not the time to be ogling your friend.
as she continues warming up, her friend alina noticed her staring.
“winnie,” she asks, “you don’t happen to like joe, do you?”
with a pause, winnie holds the ball, looking at alina in shock; she wasn’t expecting that question from her.
“no. we’re just friends. why?”
alina rolls her eyes, “just friends my ass.”
in an exasperated sigh, winnie serves the ball over the net. “we are! we go way back. we had a falling out, but we rekindled our friendship.”
“and? i just saw the way you looked at him.”
huh. she did? winnie didn’t think she was that obvious. nonetheless she shrugs. “i mean. it’s normal to find your friend good looking.”
“well,” alina pauses, looking at joe for a minute before looking back at winnie, “you do know that you’ll have to deal with emma, right? she’s crazy obsessed with joe.”
she scowls a little at that. that was a very true statement. winnie isn’t dumb; she’s aware of the fact that many women are attracted to joe on campus. and sometimes, he plays into their attraction. it was something she never ever understood, but she just knew that it was something that he did.
as far as emma goes, she stops at nothing when it comes to getting what she wants. she’d beg, borrow, steal, lie…whatever it takes. but winnie doesn’t get why that bothers her so much. her and joe are only friends, so even if emma does want joe, she shouldn’t care…right?
with a small shrug of her shoulders, winnie speaks, “she can have him.”
alina scoffs, knowing that winnie is putting up a front. she doesn’t press on the subject anymore though.
meanwhile, in the stands, joe was…struggling. ja’marr and justin were laughing about something, probably a dumb instagram post or video. but he couldn’t help but focus on winnie as she warms up.
the way her hair is tied back and her stare is so focused. it’s attractive to joe. but even worse (or better), it was something about those shorts she was wearing. they hugged her curves in the best way possible, leaving nothing to his imagination.
in a way, joe felt guilty for being the perv he was being. this is his friend he’s thinking about. but with winnie looking the way she does? he’s a goner.
“joe…? joe!”
snapping from his thoughts, joe looks at justin and ja’marr. “huh…?”
“you good? you were staring hella hard at winnie,” justin chuckles.
“eh. can’t say i blame him.” ja’marr shrugs, causing joe to slap his hand against his chest roughly.
“i was not staring.” joe denies, shaking his head and folding his arms.
justin puts his hands up. “i’m not judging, man. i mean, she does look pretty good from here.”
joe huffs, waving their words off. “okay, guys that’s enough. i was looking for a very brief moment.”
and as if on cue, justin and ja’marr share a glance at each other. without words, they seem to agree that joe isn’t being smooth like he thinks he is.
———————
their hands were all over each other’s bodies, their lips floating across the other’s skin. the feeling of winnie’s nails dragging along joe’s arms made him shiver, his spine tingling from the excitement and pleasure.
“god…joe,” winnie gasps, straddling joe’s lap as the two sit on his bed.
joe chuckles, his hand on her hip slowly drifting down to her panty-clad core and rubbing very small circles. just small enough to suffice, but still be a tease. and the sensation makes her legs jolt slightly, her lips slightly parted as a breathy “oh, fuck” leaves them.
“you have no idea what it does to me, seeing you in your cute little skirts and stuff,” he whispers, watching as winnie begins to grind against his hand slightly, “or…maybe you do have an idea.”
he takes his free hand, cupping her breast gently under her bra. a soft hum of approval at the soft, supple skin, his thumb massaging her nipple. “the way you act so innocent and nonchalant…but you and i both know what you want.”
winnie’s body trembles at joe’s teasing words and touches, her mind cloudy with nothing but thoughts of him. thoughts about his hands and his lips, thoughts of his eyes piercing into her.
“joe…please,” winnie mewls, looking at joe with a dazed, love drunk look.
“please what?” joe, smirks, leaning in towards winnie’s ear, “if you want me to fuck you, then you better say it loud and clear.”
and with that, winnie wastes no time, nodding and looking at joe, “yes…yes, please, joe! i-i want…need you to fuck me so bad,” she begs, her breath hitching with every pinch and touch joe leaves on her sensitive frame.
“alright, princess. but only because you asked so nicely.”
as joe hooks his fingers around winnie’s underwear-
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
joe shoots up from his bed, looking over at his clock on his nightstand and groaning. he slams his hand on it, turning it off and rubbing his hands over his eyes. he looks down and…
holy shit.
whatever that dream was, it did a number on him. he groans, looking at his morning wood in frustration. having a wet dream about your friend and now having to deal with a boner because of it was not on his bucket list.
he looks down and notices that winnie is calling. and so, he picks up the phone.
“hey, winnie…what’s up?” he asks, still drowsy and annoyed from his dream.
“not much, just…wanted to talk to you. i know we have a physics test soon and i was wondering if we could go over some stuff?”
of course, winnie was up early. studying. but she sounds so pretty and charming, like usual. it pisses joe of to no end, but it also…arouses him.
“sure,” joe nods, his hand slowly, oh so slowly moving down his body, “care to tell me what you remember so far?”
“yeah,” winnie answers, and joe can hear her rummaging through some notes, “so, we’re going over thermodynamics…”
joe would occasionally nod and go along as winnie spoke, hooked on every word she’d say. and he knows that this would be a perverted thing to do, but he can’t help it. not when winnie sounds so perfect.
his hand gently wrapped around his cock, and he swipes some of the pre-cum off the tip. he lets out a small groan as winnie continued going over her notes, stroking his length. the reality of what he’s doing causes his cheeks to turn red, but he doesn’t feel like stopping; he’s too entranced by her to stop. and plus he needs to release some tension from that wet dream.
“there are four different thermodynamic processes, and-”
“fuck…” joe moans, perhaps too loudly. because there’s a moment of lingering silence. “um-”
“joe…are you…jerking off?”
shit. he’s been caught. he can’t lie. winnie isn’t that dumb. she may be a virgin, but she’s not stupid.
“um…yeah?”
“oh…” winnie murmurs, though she doesn’t sound disgusted. rather…intrigued? she eventually speaks, “uh…so should i keep speaking, or…?”
“god, yes…keep talking,” joe nods, sounding a bit desperate, not that he cares.
though joe couldn’t see it, winnie’s cheeks were dusted over with a slight pink shade. she’s never had anyone be aroused by her voice, but it feels…nice? and besides, it’s joe.
“okay…so as i was saying, there’s four thermodynamic processes…”
soon enough, winnie could hear joe’s heavy breathing through her phone. the way he mumbled out small hums and curses made the hair on her body stand up. the thought if having such an effect on someone was a different, but good feeling. even if it was just a friend.
with a loud groan, joe finally comes, riding out his orgasm as spurts of cum land on his stomach and wrist. once he finished, he sighs, resting against his pillow.
“so…you good now?” winnie asks, waiting for joe’s response.
“yeah,” he pants out, “i am…thanks for helping out with that, baby.”
baby…? the name caused winnie’s heart to thump, and she didn’t know how to respond, other than a small “you’re welcome.”
joe looks at his phone, his eyes widening. “shit. i’m supposed to meet justin and ja’marr for breakfast,” he says, quickly sitting up and using some tissue to wipe himself off. “i’ll talk with you soon, okay, winwin?”
“okay…bye!” winnie replies, to which joe bids his farewell too, and hangs up.
as for winnie, she sits on her bed with her notes. her face is warm and her legs clenched together.
it seems like she too has her own little problem now.
we are so back guys :]

Do you have to let it linger? part 3
A/N: LFG ok this chapter is shorter because next chapter ya’ll… home stretch also I’m changing my formatting some I’m sorry I’m new to this yall.
CW: yearning, angst, arguing
Schlaggot made it home
3 missed calls
Schlaggot answer me bitch
5 missed calls
——-
A week later
You startle out of your dream from your phone hitting the floor and buzzing. You stir and try to slow your heart, blinding yourself with the phone screen.
Incoming call… Theodore
Accept Decline
————
“What?” You groan.
“You gotta tell me what happened,” a serious voice responds.
“What time is it?”
“4 am,” Ted responds plainly.
“Can it wait like 4 more hours?” You say putting it on speaker and laying the phone next to your pillow.
“No. Not a chance. I just got off the phone with a one Jonathan Schlatt, and I need to know now.”
“Ask him dude.”
“No man, I want to ask YOU.”
“Why though? you were just talking to him?”
“He was in a mood. I don’t like to pry when he gets like that, it just drives him away more.”
You could understand that. You knew what kind of mood he was referring to. When schlatt gets burnt out or depressed it’s totally shut off mode. When he’s done with something he’s DONE. He’s pretty candid with his surface feelings but there were deeper thoughts you knew he didn’t share with anyone.
“I don’t know what you want me to do.”
“Look y/n I know it’s not my business- no fuck that! These are my best friends, this is my business. Why haven’t you been answering calls or texts? total silence from you. Not just to schlatt but all of us,” as he points out the obvious, your tears break free towards your pillow. “What. Happened.” Ted demands now very sternly.
You explain to Ted how you and schlatt got hot and heavy too fast and you stopped him. How caring schlatt was, how understanding and supportive. How you’ve been trying to push your feelings for him away but you liked him more than he pretended to like you online to the audience. You realized you weren’t joking anymore and when schlatt said he wanted to remain friends you needed to put some distance. That meant total radio silence for a while to get over your feelings.
“I really do like him. And he just doesn’t feel the same. And I was stupid for thinking the joke could be real. I thought I was invincible to it and like I couldn’t fall for someone again but no. Here I am. I have feelings for a guy with fucking mutton chops,” you borderline yell at the end. You sigh after a couple beats of silence, “I’m glad we didn’t go further though cuz then I’d really feel like a fucking fool.” You weren’t crying anymore, just mad.
“Well, maybe you can explain this to Schlatt, so he doesn’t think you’re mad at him,” Ted says after a while.
“I am mad at him!” You pause hearing Ted’s confusion, “He just doesn’t know why… and I’m not really mad at him. Just upset? Ugh dude I don’t fucking know.” You shove your face in your pillow and scream.
“Well feel the feelings you need to, but I think if you care about schlatt you’ll tell him you just need space or like your goldfish died or something I don’t know, man. Just communicate.”
“Ok…” you say, sighing.
“I love you buddy. It’s gonna be alright.”
“Yeah I know, just sucks.”
“For what it’s worth, I do think Schlatt cares about you. I don’t know why he decided to friendzone you-“
“Ew don’t say that word.”
“Whatever. Come over this weekend let’s go do some shit and get you out of this funk,” He says wrapping up the call. Agreeing with Ted you hang up and pass out again.
——
You get up later in the morning and decide to stream today. You hadn’t streamed since the schlatt stream because you didn’t want to endure the bombardment of chat. It figures that you did an in person stream with Schlatt right before you guys established your relationship as friends so now the whole community thinks you guys are a thing. Of fucking course.
The week had been full of working out and going into the dance studio to work on dancing videos. you distracted yourself with coming up with new video ideas and choreo to do. You focused on the work that didn’t involve schlatt at all to help your creative flow.
You set up your piano, your computer, microphone, etc. putting your lights on and getting into the headspace. You hadn’t decided if you were going to do an album breakdown, just play some covers, or watch videos. You knew at the very least you could give them an update of upcoming projects.
As you set up the tweet, the “stream starting” screen, and messaged a couple mods, you grabbed your guitar and held it idly. You could feel the hesitation in your body. You felt heavy now trying to work up the courage and energy to turn the camera on. You hadn’t been particularly depressed about the whole situation, just numb. Seeing the chats roll through however started to form a brick in your throat. You finally sighed and pulled the trigger.
“Chat,” you started immediately, “no schlatt today. Let’s get that out of the way,” you gesture around the room. “So, I’ve been busy this week in the studio, I haven’t had a second to breathe.” (Lie) “and I want to give you guys 10 minutes to ask schlatt questions then we’re gonna move on,” you continue.
You start reading chat as you speak, “and after the ten minutes is up if you mention Schlatt you’re gonna be in a timeout the rest of the stream.”
what?????
Omfg you and schlatt are so cute
Hey y/n! where’s Schlatt?
Do you live with him now?
Are you guys dating?
Omg did something happen?
Why no schlatt
“Ok, Schlatt went home that same day we streamed, so no we don’t live together and no we aren’t dating. I don’t know what to tell you guys other than that Schlatt and I really are just friends,” you finish as the chats keep coming.
You feel your phone vibrate next to you and subtly look to see who it is.
Of course. Schlatt. calling again.
You put your phone on DND and keep reading the chats. As you read you get a couple TTS.
“Hey y/n, you and schlatt have great chemistry, do you have a crush on him? All the love!”
“Hey thanks oopygoopy, no I don’t have a crush on Schlatt.”
The next TTS
“Answer your phone bitch.”
Schlatt again. This time he donated to the stream.
You ignore him and message a mod to tell them to put him in time out for the rest of the stream while chat freaks out.
“Alright chat we’re gonna get started. I want to do an album review today…” you ignore chat and start up a new album to listen to with chat and discuss the themes and harmonies. You really just needed a couple more hours to figure out what to say to schlatt.
——
After 3 hours, an album review, and some keyboard breakdowns of the harmonies, you decide to wrap up the stream, “guys, I’m done. I’ll be on tomorrow with some covers and requests! Thank you for all the love, bye!”
You make sure the stream is shut down and pick up your phone.
4 missed calls
You click it to call schlatt back.
Ring
Ring
Ring
Connecting….
Schlatt’s ceiling pops up on screen.
“Hey.” You say after a couple moments of silence.
“Really?” You hear from off screen. “A week of nothing and you say hey?” You can hear him chewing on something.
“I’m sorry.”
Awkward silence, followed by rustling and chewing.
“JAMBO STOP,” more rustling. “JAMBOOOO”
The camera shifts, you can’t help but laugh. You stop yourself by leaning your mouth in your hand.
“So what’d I do?” He asks casually, his eyebrows come into frame.
“Nothing. It’s not you,” you start before he interrupts.
“No don’t fucking start with me. What did I do? You’re ignoring me.”
“To be fair I’ve been ignoring everyone.”
“Yeah but you’ve been ignoring me.”
“You’re not special,” you say, rolling your eyes.
“Yes I am. Don’t fuck with me y/n.” He was joking around a little but you could tell he was genuinely hurt and pissed.
“I just needed some space. I think I've been a little burnt out is all.”
Silence. You shift uncomfortably as he continues to chew on the invisible food.
“Is it because I kissed you?” Schlatt says bluntly.
“No, just forget it dude.” you sigh and shake your head. It was hard to come up with an excuse other than just telling him about your feelings.
“Well everything was fine until after the wedding so-“
“Dude fucking drop it ok? I just need some space.”
“I’m sorry that I did that,” he says.
Silence this time with no chewing.
“It’s not about the kiss, schlatt.” You sighed, “I’m not sorry it happened. I wanted it to happen.” Your stomach churned and you felt your heart pumping in your ears.
“It was pretty hot,” schlatt finally scoffs.
“That’s not what I mean!”
“Spit it out then, toots.”
“I liked it, I've wanted you to kiss me for years. Because I have a big fat crush on you,” you spit out.
Silence, schlatt’s face mostly on screen at this point. He had a look of disbelief spread across it, his eyes darting all over the screen.
“You’re fucking with me?” He responds.
All you can do is shake your head.
“I didn’t want to say anything because I don’t want this to ruin our friendship because I know you don’t feel the same. And I really care about our friendship more than my stupid crush on you. And I can’t keep enduring your fake flirting it fucking sucks,” your word vomit spilling out now. “And I thought if I put distance between us I could get over it and then we could just go back to being friends again.”
“You decided to ignore me? That’s not distance. You don’t fucking know how I feel, why would you assume-“ he stops himself and throws his phone down, his face disappears from the screen and you two sit in silence for a long time. “God you can be so stupid.” He says exasperated.
“Fucking whatever dude. I just figured I’d tell you the truth so you’d leave me the fuck alone. I gotta go.” You suddenly hang up before he can respond. You throw your phone down in anger. You were done being tortured in this way. It hurt. You didn’t know if it was the right choice to just tell him but it was out there now. You didn’t know how you wanted him to respond, but it wasn’t like that. He didn’t have to be such an asshole.
—-
He doesn’t text, he doesn’t call. You text Ted and tell him what happened and when he tries to call you don’t answer. It’s hard enough not to cry as it is, if you talk to Ted right now there’s no way you won’t.
You sit down with your guitar and start to idly play without thinking, you play linger by the cranberries. As you play your chest gets tight and your tears break free.
Oh, I thought the world of you
I thought nothing could go wrong
But I was wrong, I was wrong
If you, if you could get by
Trying not to lie
Things wouldn't be so confused
And I wouldn't feel so used
But you always really knew
I just want to be with you
You feel it all finally. You worked so hard to resist feeling feelings for someone for so long. Scared of what happened before. Having feelings for someone makes you weak and easier to break. You used music to express your feelings and tried to seal them off the rest of the time. This time they seeped out after the end of the song as you cried openly.
—-
For the past two weeks you streamed yourself doing covers, learning songs, or in the dance studio coming up with choreo. The feelings coming out in the art. You played covers of songs you and schlatt listened to on streams trying not to tear up. You let yourself feel a little more openly in front of the audience. They may have been catching on, but if they were you were good at ignoring them. In between streams you worked on recording videos, wrote lyrics and worked on some songs you had been working on for a while. It was a creatively productive time.
You had put schlatt’s messages and calls on silence, but it didn’t matter because he didn’t try to message you. You tried not to notice. Of course you noticed. You hoped maybe he would call and try to say sorry or fix what he had done but he hadn’t. It made you mad to be honest. You tried not to stalk his profiles to see what he was doing but he was silent for the most part on that end too.
Ted on the other hand was messaging constantly. Well as much as he could, he was working on a video and was distracted. Every night he would call though and chat even if he was just on call while editing. He was trying to be supportive. You appreciated how much Ted cared but didn’t overstep. When you initially told Ted what happened after the call he was confused. He didn’t understand why Schlatt reacted the way he did. You didn’t either to be fair. You did feel bad for ignoring him instead of communicating, but because of the way he reacted you felt justified in a way.
As Friday rolled around, and your stream was done for the day, you drove home from the dance studio to shower. You were feeling in high spirits for a change and stopped for food on your way home. When you got home you decided you were going to relax, watch tv, and just do some self care. You hadn’t been taking very good care of yourself and felt like doing your brows and a face mask might help. Maybe even do your nails. The night was young. You even decided to drink a little. As you bundled up under your blankets on the couch watching some comedy you heard a knock on your door.
You got off your couch and set down your drink. Before you walked to the door you inspected yourself. You had sweatpants and a tank top on, hair up and glasses on. You grab a zip up hoodie near the door and throw it on. Nothing fancy, but you figured you should cover up a little more.
As you made your way to the door you put your ear up to see if you could hear who it was, silence on the other end refused to betray the visitor so you slowly opened the door.
Schlatt standing in the hall looked at you sheepishly as you peered out. You suddenly swung the door open all the way to stare at the tall man in shock. He was wearing a crewneck, dark pants, and the classic cap. He had a duffel over his arm and headphones around his neck. Despite his towering height he was cowering.
“Hey.”
“Hey?” You questioned. “What are you doing here?” You asked plainly. Your heart speeding up nevertheless, you could feel the words getting caught in your throat as you spoke.
“Came to see you. Can I come in?”

16. Taking naps together, from day till night, waking up every now and then to get more snuggles in.
thank you to my sweet friend @this-is-ali for picking this number. here's the list that it's from. if you want me to write one, send me an asks!
couple: Tarlos | word count: 356
It was one of those rare, peaceful slow Sundays that they didn’t get often enough anymore.
They were both off work for the next two days, schedules aligning for the first time in months - TK was sure that Carlos called in a few favors for that to happen. It was needed, of course, the time to just be together, slow down, and talk. It had been too long, much too long since they got time to be together and just exist in the moment.
TK sighed contently and snuggled deeper into Carlos’ arms. He felt the warmth of the morning sun on his back but it wasn’t as tempting as feeling Carlos’ strong arms around his body. There wasn’t anything in the world at that moment that could convince him to get out of bed and out of his husband’s arms.
“Good morning,” Carlos murmured, and TK felt the words more than he heard them as he rested his head against Carlos’ chest.
“Good morning to you too, sweet husband,” TK said. His voice was still thick with sleep and he didn’t have any plans to do anything about it. He wanted to spend his entire day wrapped up in Carlos’ arms, weaving in and out of sleep and finding small moments to talk.
Carlos shifted and for a moment TK thought he was going to get out of bed, but he didn’t. Instead, he pulled TK closer, brushing his lips against TK’s forehead, and held him tighter.
“Let’s not get out of bed today,” Carlos murmured, already sounding like he was going to drift back to sleep.
TK smiled, “I like the sounds of that.”
Sure there were people who would say they wasted their day off by napping for most of it, but TK would disagree. There wasn’t anything better than getting to lay in his husbands' arms and just exist while the world outside of their shared space moved on. It was days like this that he lived for, days that reminded him that Carlos loved him and wasn’t going to let him go - no matter how many rough patches they went through.

And the sequel, specially for @owlsie-hoot set post 5x07
Tristan sat next to Mrs Hall on the stairs, his hand on her, protectively, as she cried out weeks of fear and hopelessness, cried tears of happiness that her boy was safe. James and Helen were behind him, all of them with a hand on the woman they loved, supporting her.
Only one person was conspicuous by their absence. Tristan turned to find his brother. And there he was standing, holding on to the bannister as though it was the only thing keeping him upright, tears in his eyes, gazing at his housekeeper.
Oh, Tristan thought as he turned back to her. Oh, I understand.
He did nothing with the knowledge for a little while. The household regained its equilibrium. Mrs Hall was no longer a shadowy, sad presence but once again the beating heart of the house. A letter arrived from Edward – he was on his way back to England. He would be convalescing in Yorkshire. Mrs Hall would be able to visit him easily. She cried again, and Tristan hugged her, and thought maybe it was time.
“I’m coming with you,” he announced cheerily, as his brother set off to tackle his list.
“What? Why?” Siegfried looked at him suspiciously.
“Got to keep my hand in, old thing. Getting rusty.”
Siegfried looked no less suspicious, but did not toss him out of the car.
Tristan took the dirtier jobs, wading through mud that, secretly, he’d missed a little when he was in Egypt.
Siegfried grew more suspicious, but Tris just smiled and got on with the job, holding his tongue until the right moment.
The moment came when they stopped for lunch. They’d taken sandwiches out with them – there was less popping back to Skeldale for meals these days, now they had to be so careful of petrol. Tris waited until Siegfried had eaten, and opened the bottle of beer that Mrs Hall had packed as a treat for them.
He cleared his throat.
“Ah – now we come to it,” Siegfried declared. “The reason that you’ve tagged along today. What is it? Money?”
“You wound me,” Tris said indignantly. “No. I wanted to talk about…” he looked around. There didn’t seem to be anything that Siegfried could throw at him aside from the beer bottle, and he wouldn’t want to waste the beer. “I wanted to talk about Mrs H.”
Siegfried’s face went carefully blank. “What about her?”
“About your feelings for her.”
“My-” Siegfried cut off and growled, a proper growl that made Tristan want to laugh.
“You care for her, a lot. I saw it, at Christmas.”
“Of course I do! She’s my housekeeper. My friend.”
The exact repeat of her words, all those months ago. Tristan smiled to himself. “I think she means more to you than that, big brother.” He glanced at Siegfried, whose jaw was working furiously. “Anything you might want to say will go no further than this car,” he promised.
“Might want to say!” Siegfried cried. “What might I want to say?!”
Tristan shrugged. “I don’t know. You tell me.” He waited, hopefully.
Siegfried turned away to glare out of the window. Eventually, he spoke. “I have no right to care for her more than I do,” he said quietly. “I-” he swallowed. Tris barely dared to breathe. “I want only good things for her. I want only her happiness. When Edward – when the ship sank. I felt her pain.” He pressed his hand to his chest and finally turned to face his brother. “She was hurting and I could do nothing, nothing for her. I love her, little brother. I’ve found love again, like you told me to all those years ago. And it’s my housekeeper. The unimpeachable woman who lives under my roof. Who has tolerated my – my -”
“Rages?” Tristan suggested, with a heart full of happiness.
Siegfried glared at him. “Rages, if you must.” He sagged. “I would so like to be the man who could make her happy.”
“You saved the fox, for her,” Tristan reminded him.
Siegfried waved a hand. “A fox. Because she was furious and despairing and so, so sad. Saving the fox was the only, tiny thing I could offer her. Scant comfort.”
“It meant the world to her.”
Siegfried sighed. “She means the world to me.”
There was a silence as they both digested those words.
“I’m going to break a confidence,” Tris said, when he’d recovered.
“Extremely dishonourable of you.”
Tristan ignored him. “I spoke with Mrs H a few months ago. When you were seeing – what was her name – Mrs Grantley.”
“We barely reached seeing,” Siegfried muttered.
“We talked about Gerald, about how she nearly left but then stayed. About the reason she made that decision.”
Tristan watched his brother, wavering between curiosity and hope and irritation that Tris was breaking a confidence.
“And what did she tell you?” Siegfried’s voice barely quivered.
Tristan took a breath. “She stayed because she loves you. And all of us. But mainly you.”
Siegfried looked away. “As a friend, perhaps.”
“She said you have her heart. She said she’d hoped that when she stayed – after Gerald – that things would change between you. But-”
Siegfried hung his head. “What in God’s name was I doing, chasing that Grantley woman?” Then he raised it again. “She – she loves me? As a – a man?”
Tristan shuddered. “God knows why, but she does. I told her she was far to good for you. But she wouldn’t be dissuaded.”
Tristan expected a glare, or a cuff, but instead he watched his brother’s face light up. He thrust the beer bottle into Tris’s hands and started the engine. “Come on, little brother. We have a list to finish. I need to get home!”
--
They went in the back door, as usual. “Mrs Hall!” Siegfried roared as he kicked off his boots. “Mrs Hall!”
As an overture to a pronouncement of love, it was a little odd, Tristan thought as he pulled off his own boots and lined the two pairs up neatly.
He followed his brother, who was charging through the house looking for his housekeeper. The commotion drew James from surgery and Helen down the stairs, looking put out.
“I’d just got Jimmy to sleep! What’s going on?”
“Siegfried’s looking for Mrs H,” Tris explained.
“Well, he won’t find her here. She’s gone over to the church to do the flower arranging.”
Siegfried emerged from the living room in time to hear this. “The church!” He cried. “I’ll be back later!”
They watched him run to the door, pull on his shoes and hasten off.
“What on earth?” Helen asked.
Tris chuckled. “You’ll find out soon enough.”
And they did find out, an hour or so later. In the living room, where Siegfried and Mrs Hall – Audrey he said – were smiling, sheepishly, happily, holding each other’s hands as though they never wanted to let them go.
Tristan poured them all a whisky. “To Siegfried and Audrey,” he said, raising his glass.
James and Helen echoed him, and the happy couple turned to each other with a smile and a kiss.
“Oh, no. Oh, I don’t want to see that,” Tristan said with a grimace.
“Tough,” his brother said. Then he turned to the woman in his arms. “I love you, Audrey.”
She smiled up at him. “And I love you.”
I'd love no. 1 for the drabble prompts
Have a good day (despite having to work) 😊
Urgh, work. Thanks for the prompt!
Drabble list - send me a number!
1. “I know you're hurt."
Set sometime in 5.5 or before 5.6
“I’m going to visit Miss Grantley,” Siegfried announced over breakfast. “I’m staying to lunch, no need to prepare anything for me, Mrs Hall.”
Mrs Hall nodded. “Will you be home for dinner?”
“Probably,” Siegfried said cheerfully.
Tristan watched the exchange while he munched on his toast. Siegfried was bouncy – always chirpy when there was a new lady love on the scene. Mrs Hall though – Tristan had spotted the shuttered, blank look that had flickered over her face when Siegfried said where he was going. He noted the way her lips were pressed together, just a fraction. The careful steadiness of her voice when she asked if he’d be home for dinner.
Siegfried departed, whistling.
Mrs Hall cleared the table around Tristan, shooting him an amused glance as he continued to eat as the plates disappeared.
A little while later, washed and dressed and ready for the day, Tristan looked for their housekeeper. The breakfast conversation was playing on his mind and he was tallying it with other things he’d seen and been told of over the past year. He was almost certain he’d come to the right conclusion.
She wasn’t in the house. Eventually, he found her in the yard, beating a carpet ferociously.
Her eyes darted towards him but she didn’t say anything, just continued hitting the carpet with a strength that made him wonder.
Finally, he spoke. “I know you’re hurt.”
“Hurt?” her voice was breathy. “Why should I be hurt?”
“Because of my brother, and Miss Grantley.”
She lowered the carpet beater and turned to face him, expressionless. “What your brother does is really no business of mine, Tris.”
“You care for him,” Tris said.
“Of course. I’m his housekeeper. His friend.”
“I think you care for him in more than those ways.”
Now the carpet beater fell to the floor. “What do you want me to say, Tris?” she demanded.
“The truth?” he pushed.
“That I love him? That I gave up the chance of a life, a family of my own, with a good man, because I love your brother and could never love Gerald in the way that he deserves? That seeing him go after Miss Grantley is tearing me apart? Is that what you want me to say?”
The torrent of words left her panting and Tris could see tears in her eyes. He hated himself for putting them there. What had possessed him? A desire to know that he was right?
“I’m sorry,” he murmured.
His apology seemed to bring her back to herself and she stared at him, horrified. “Tris – you mustn’t – you mustn’t say anything. To anybody.” She pressed her hands to her face. “It’s…” She trailed off.
Tris fell back to the old standby. “I’ll put the kettle on, shall I?”
He made them both a cup of tea and, seated at their kitchen table, her hands around her cup, Mrs Hall seemed more herself.
“I’m sorry for putting that all on you,” she said.
“I’m sorry for asking.”
“It’s just – you’re right.” She ran a hand over her hair. “It’s – hard. I am hurting. After Gerald…” She sighed.
“What happened there?” Tris asked curiously. “I’m sorry. You don’t have to say. I heard a few things from the others.”
“I nearly left,” Mrs Hall mused. “I handed in my notice. I hurt your brother terribly and doing that hurt me too.”
“Why didn’t you?”
She sipped her tea. “Because – what I put him through, your brother, I mean, I hated doing it. I love him,” she said simply. “I love all of you. He has half my heart and you all, Skeldale, Darrowby, you have the other half.”
“Charming,” Tris muttered.
She laughed then, the first brightness he’d seen in her eyes all day. “You are an awful boy,” she said fondly. “All of you, together, and Gerald on the other side. He’s a good man, a kind man.” She sighed again. “I could have been happy with him. But he loved me, and I – I love Siegfried.”
The way his brother’s given name fell from her lips made Tristan’s hurt turn over. “I stayed because I wanted to, because giving Gerald the tiny portion of my heart I have spare would have hurt him more in the end. I stayed because I love Siegfried and being in his life in any way at all is better than nothing.”
Tristan gazed at her, wondering how much of herself she hid from all of them.
“I’m not unhappy,” she added sharply. “I love my life here, I love you all. Seeing little Jimmy grow up is a precious gift.”
“But?” he sensed it coming.
“I thought… maybe things would change. Between Siegfried and me, when I stayed.”
Tris could feel every ounce of longing from her. With a lump in his throat, he stretched his hand over the table and held it firmly. “I know it’s no consolation, Mrs H,” he said, “but he’s a mad bastard and you’re far too good for him.”
She smiled at him through watery eyes. “As I said, you’re an awful boy, Tris. And thank you. For this.” She gripped his hand. “It was good to talk about it.”
