these two are some of my oldest dragons that ive had in my lair since the beginning (i got apollo about a month after i joined fr in 2014). I never came up with a good name for my undersea statue dragon, i've made posts on dragon share asking for ideas before, but nothing stuck.

so anyway their story is that they are two statues that each have a spirit of a dragon. They're a matching set in terms of the statues themselves and the fact that they're partners.

They are positioned near a seaside cliff town, one at the top of the cliff facing out into the ocean, and one on the ocean floor mirroring back. They're known as protectors of the area, both to the dragons living nearby and the local wildlife. Apollo gets doves that nest on his statue, and under the waves there are fish that use the second statue as a home as well. They have been there long before anyone can remember.

Before, in full dragon bodies, these two were partners that traveled together. Their dragon bodies are gone, but their connection to each other was strong enough that even when they passed, part of them stayed. This spiritual presence is what ended up inhabiting the (then new) statues. In my lore there is innate magic that comes from natural forces, and feeds into dragons lives' in a variety of ways. In this case, it allowed them to stay over time and become complete statue-beings in their own right, and protectors of the local natural environment. However, the statues can't move or speak, the strength is in their spiritual presence.

On top of that, the statues were always created to be above/below the sea, so when they were placed, the two were separated. So for a very long time they faced each other on the same shore but were just out of reach.

the dragons that live locally had always treasured the two statues and kept them in good repair, but as they had no way of communicating, there was no way of knowing that these two were partners that had been separated. i actually haven't decided whether there was some kind of historical documents found about them or if local folklore developed independently around their relationship, but either way, the locals eventually decided there was a need to connect the two in some way. The solution was to build smaller versions of the statues along the path up the cliff, climbing/descending to meet each other, and to tie a long sea rope along the path, connecting to each statue along the way. The rope was made with dragon's energy weaved in to create a path for the spirits. And every year, they have a festival where they replenish energy in the rope.

So the two are no longer separated! And they can continue to protect the land for many generations to come :)

Please do his hair! He feels like the act of letting you style his hair however you please is very intimate, and a show of your love for him. Even if it’s just the standard ponytail he usually wears it in, he’ll be practically ecstatic, as you, his lover, was the one who did it this time!

At Crazy:B’s shows, Niki might flash a peace sign and a wink, just for you, though no one in the crowd would know that. It’s his way of saying ‘I love you!’ during his lives! It always makes you laugh, whether in the crowd or watching from home.

Niki likes wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head on your chest, hearing your heartbeat is a very strong comfort for him, and reminds him that, wow, you’re a living, breathing being who cares for and loves him. Plus, it’s the perfect position for you to play with his hair and occasionally lean down to place a chaste kiss on his head!

Now that the weather is a lot sunnier with a gentle breeze to accompany it, you wanted to bask in the sunshine on your days off rather than your usual routine of staying in bed all day and either reading or watching something. After scrolling a bit on social media, an ad catches your eye. As you read the post, your eyes light up in excitement -- the fair is finally open. Now that your heart is dead set on going to the fair, you didn’t want to go alone. Quickly making your way over to Steve’s room, you knock on his door lightly. Upon seeing his face, you smile and say, “Steve, I have a favor to ask of you.”

Raising his eyebrows, he crosses his arms and replies, “Alright, what is it?”

“Would it be possible to give Wanda the day off tomorrow?”

“Well,” he pauses, thinking it over, “we haven’t been that busy lately so I don’t see why not. Can I ask why, though?”

“Oh! There’s going to be a fair tomorrow and I wanted to take her out on a date.”

Steve grins at your words and moves to ruffle your hair slightly, “I’m very happy for you two. Have fun and be safe tomorrow. ”

Letting out a small “yes”, you thank Steve and make your way to Wanda’s room. You knock on the door a few times before opening it to reveal your girlfriend’s figure lying on the bed. Her head raises at the sound and the moment she sees you with a bright smile, a smile of her own appears. You sit down next to her and ask, “Wans, wanna go to a fair tomorrow night?”

Tomorrow night rolls around and the two of you are happily strolling around the venue, pinkies interlocked as your eyes dart between the various booths. Gasping out of excitement, the brunette quickly turns to you and motions to a booth that seems to have peaked her interest. Smiling, you nod and let yourself be dragged towards it. You realize that the booth she took you to was one that involved testing one’s strength by slamming a hammer down and hoping the bell at the top would ring.

You let go of her pinky and take the hammer that’s offered to you. The hammer feels light in your hand as you position yourself in front of the machine. Slowly inhaling, you take the handle in both hands, getting ready to swing. With a sharp exhale, the hammer is brought down and within milliseconds a bell sound is heard, followed by cheering from your girlfriend. Letting out a cheer of your own, you take the big cat plush from the man and hand it to Wanda.

“I won this for you, milady.”

Laughing at your antics, she graciously accepts the plush that’s almost her size and intertwines her fingers with yours. You give her a light squeeze before telling her, “Come on, there’s one last thing I want to do.” The witch gives you a look before giving you a slight nod, curious as to what you’re planning.

After a few minutes of searching, you manage to find one of your favorite things at the fair -- the cotton candy stand. You tell her to wait where she is before heading over to the stand and purchasing a cloud of cotton candy. Making your way back to Wanda, a pillow of sugar in hand, you watch as her smile grows bigger and bigger as you get closer.

The two of you find a quiet place to sit down and share the cotton candy, the large cat plush off on the side, partially resting on your lap. You pick off a bit of cotton candy to feed to Wanda. As the sugary treat meets her lips, she playfully bites you causing you to recoil and feign hurt.

With a dramatic gasp, “I've been betrayed by my own girlfriend. How could you do this to me?”

“I’m sorry, Y/N, you’re just so irresistible.”

She watches as your mouth opens and closes with no words coming out, she deals the final blow.

“And I will say, you were definitely sweeter than the cotton candy.”

Feeling your cheeks get warm, you quickly duck your hand into her chest out of embarrassment. You feel her chest vibrate as she giggles and takes the cone out of your hand so you don’t make a mess. A delicate finger hooks under your chin and pulls you out of her chest, meeting the gorgeous eyes you fell in love with. Wanda meets your soft, slightly sugary lips in a delicate embrace and just like cotton candy, you melt into it.

Good luck staying up just to see him fall asleep though, he stays up all night and morning.

And because of that she becomes very distant and she dont want to eat anymore, the only thing she does is working but ofc she faints so Newt has to take care of her and everything ? TYSM

Newt and Tina’s laughs echoed throughout the Goldstein apartment and you were instantly brought back to the room in which you were cuddled up on the couch beside the fireplace reading one of your favorite books. Reading was one of the many ways you tried to escape your feelings and what you were going through. 

Recently, Tina, Queenie and Jacob had traveled to London to visit you and Newt. You liked them and you were excited to meet Newt’s friends. However, you didn’t realize how much him and Tina seemed to have such chemistry together. It was clear they had feelings for one another and you were just waiting for one of them to come out and say it.

You turned your head to look up at the two of them at the kitchen table laughing while telling stories over a up of tea. Queenie had gone out with Jacob which left you alone with no one to keep you company. You watched as they both looked at one another and continued their conversation and you noticed how Newt’s eyes had a special twinkle in them as he looked at Tina. You wanted nothing more than for him to look at you that way. Of course there was no way he ever would.... you two were best friends and that’s all you’d ever be. 

Closing your book, you stood up and walked past them making your way to your room. 

“Are you going to bed?” Tina asked.

“Yeah... besides, I have work tomorrow and I have a lot to get done...” 

“Well, sleep well!” 

You smiled at her and then met Newt’s gaze. He was giving you his signature lopsided smile and bid you goodnight before turning back to face Tina and going in to another story about one of his creatures. 

You gently closed the door to your room and set your book down. Slipping out of your robe you crawled in to bed and shut your eyes. Hopefully your dreams would be a nice escape from the feelings inside you.

Sitting at your desk, you fumbled through stacks of papers and sighed when you realized just how much work you had to get done today. Looking up at the clock you noticed it was mid afternoon. Where had time gone?! You rushed to organize your things and get everything done. A few hours later Newt showed up. He quietly walked in and stood in front of your desk, watching as you kept working.

“Y/N?”

“Oh!” Dropping your quill, you looked up to the wizard looking down at you in confusion. 

“It’s rather late.... Me and the other’s were going to go out and came here to come get you.”

Gazing in to his beautiful sea foam green eyes, you sighed. “Well.. I have a lot to get done and I don’t kno-”

“Y/N....” Newt tilted his head and held out his hand. “You’ve worked hard all day. Come on.”

“Fine. Gimme one minute.” Organizing your papers quickly, you grabbed your coat and purse and together you and Newt apparated away.

Nothing on earth could compare to the feeling you had inside you as you sat at the table listening to Tina and Newt laugh while Queenie and Jacob danced to the music playing. There was a rather flashy jazz singer on the stage. Jacob spun Queenie and you watched as her dress swirled around her and her bouncy curls flew in the air. They looked so happy together....

“You remember that, right Y/N?” Newt’ voice broke your eyes away from the dance floor and you looked at him in confusion. 

“Huh?”

“The story I just told! When we found Frank and how we captured him!” Newt’s eyes were beaming with the memory of saving the beloved Thunderbird while you two were in Egypt. 

“Oh.... yeah...” Taking a sip of your butterbeer, you nodded and then turned your gaze down away from Newt’s beautiful eyes. Oh how you wanted to just get lost in them forever...

“I don’t know about you guys but I’m starving!” Jacob took his seat next to you and picked up a menu looking it over. “How about we all get something to share?”

“Oh! That sounds wonderful!” Queenie beamed.

Frankly, you weren't feeling too hungry and in all honesty all you wanted to do was go home and lie down. You had zero interest in being here anymore. 

“What do you think?” Jacob turned to look at you and you paused, realizing you weren't listening to them as they had decided on what to get. 

“Oh, umm... I actually think I’m gonna go. I’m really tired from work. You guys have fun though.” Everyone looked at you and their smiled dropped. 

“Awe, Honey! Please stay!” Queenie begged. As much as you hated to say no to her, you declined and put your coat on. Bidding everyone goodbye, you quickly made your way out and hurried on home.

The next morning you decided you’d get to work extra early; avoiding everyone in the morning. You plopped down at your desk and began your paperwork. When lunchtime came, one of your friends in the office asked if you’d like to accompany her as she went to get something to eat.

“Thanks, Charlotte... but I’m not that hungry.” 

“Okay.... well, make sure you take a break soon... you’ve been working hard all day.” Smiling at you, you watched as she made her way out with some of the others.

Opening the door to yours and Newt’s flat, you stumbled in, yawning and nearly toppling over at your attempt to kick off your shoes.

“Y/N!” Queenie quickly rushed to your side and helped you remove your coat. “It’s nearly ten... have you been at work this entire time?” Her eyes were full of concern as she looked at you, noticing how weak and exhausted you looked.

“I’m fine, Queenie.... really.” Lying, you gently brushed her off and attempted to make your way to your room.

“Y/N, please come sit down. You look like you need something to eat. Here, let me fix you up my famous-”

“Really, Queenie, I’m fine.” Placing  hand on your rumbling tummy, your mind instantly thought about how much you’d love to eat some of her strudel she always made. “Where’s Newt?”

“Oh, him and Tina are in his case.”

“Oh...” Feeling the pain in the pit of your stomach, you forced yourself to your room where you closed the door and let yourself fall on to your bed. You weren't quite sure what was going on inside you, but for some reason, the pain of not eating was more bearable than the pain of seeing Newt and Tina together...

“Has Y/N come home yet?” Newt walked in to the kitchen and saw Queenie carrying a mug of cocoa she was bringing to Jacob.

“Yes. She came in about twenty minutes ago or so. She went to bed though.... She seems different, dotchya think?”

Nodding, Newt agreed with her. His concern was growing as he noticed the last few days you had distanced yourself from him. It was so unlike you and he wanted to make sure you were okay. “Did you happen to... to hear her thoughts at all?” He asked.

“All I really heard was how she was maybe sad about something. I’m trying not to pry... but I did hear a thought that was maybe about you?”

Newt felt a pain in his stomach as his heart dropped. He had something to hurt you? “Do you- do you know what it was about?”

“Sorry, honey... I don’t” Giving him a smile in hopes of comforting him, Queenie walked past him with the cocoa in her hand and made her way over to Jacob. Newt stood there a few seconds before finally retreating to his own room. Tomorrow, he was going to talk to you and he was going to figure out what was wrong.

You awoke rather early and seeing as it was the weekend, you decided you’d go in to Newt’s case and take care of his creatures. It had been a while and honestly, you needed some time with someone there than humans.

Descending down in to the hut, you grabbed a bucket of feed and made your way over to Frank. The giant Thunderbird raised his head from his curled up position and immediately rose when seeing you had breakfast.

“Hello there, big guy.” Resting a hand on his forehead, you pet him and watched as he cooed at your affection. Placing the bucket down, you bent down to grab the food to throw in to the air. Your head began to spin and you felt yourself lose your balance. Quickly, Frank noticed this and caught you on his beak. You smiled at him and tried to push yourself up to try to feed him again. Looking up at him, you began to see two Franks... now three... You felt your body growing weaker and weaker before suddenly everything went dark.

Yawning, Newt rose from his bed and quickly dressed himself before making hi way towards the door. He stopped when he noticed from the corner of his eye his case was open. Scratching his head, he was certain he had closed it last night. Worried that maybe some of his creatures had escaped, he made his way down.

Landing inside the hut, he looked around and noticed the bucket of Frank’s food wasn't where he had left it the night before. Quickly, he hurried out of the hut. He was met by Frank who looked rather uneasy and upset. He was flapping his wings and screeched when he saw Newt.

“Whoa...” Rushing over to the Thunderbird, Newt quickly noticed the motionless body lying on the ground of Frank’s habitat. Realizing it was you, his heart began racing. Falling to the ground, he quickly picked your head up and tried to shake you awake. “Y/N?!” Nothing. “Y/N?! Wake up!” Panicking, Newt lifted you up off the ground and rushed you in to his hut. Placing you on the cot, he fumbled in his pocket to grab his wand. Gently placing it above your chest, he quietly whispered “Rennervate”. The red light emitted from his wand and he waited a moment. His heart beating nearly out of his chest, he felt relief when he finally saw your eyes flutter open. “Merlins beard...” Newt smiled in relief and grabbed you, holding you to his chest. Nestling his face in to your hair, he let out tears of joy as he refused to let you go. 

“N..Newt?” You croaked. Your head felt as if it were hit by a boulder and your entire body felt as if it were jello. Struggling to keep your eyes open, Newt placed his hands on your cheeks and looked at you. The dark circles under your eyes and your pale complexion were indicators of your malnourished body and he quickly sprang in to action. 

Gently placing your head down on the pillow, he scurried up the ladder only to reappear moments later with a plate of toast and jam. Sitting down on the bench beside you, you gently helped you sit up before feeding you a piece of the toast.

The warmth of the food and the sweetness of the jam instantly made you feel better. You chewed slowly and once you swallowed, Newt handed you a glass of water. The liquid felt good against your dry throat and you smiled. Opening your eyes, you met Newt’s gaze and saw the concern and worrying them. He waited a moment before quietly speaking. 

“Y/N, what is going on?” His voice full of concern, he gently grabbed a hold of your hand as he kept his eyes locked on yours. You felt the sting of tears fighting to emerge from your eyes. Unable to find your words, you broke down in to tears. Newt watched, not knowing how to react right away.

“N-Newt...” You sobbed. “I’m so sorry.”

“What?”

“I...I... I was stupid and I.... I thought if I could- could numb the pain I’d feel better.” You slipped your hand out of Newt’s grip and hid your ashamed face behind your hands quickly. Sobbing, you struggled to find your breath.

“What pain?” Newt asked. He waited, watching as you wiped the tears away with the back of your hand. “Of seeing you with-with T-Tina.”

Confusion washed over Newt’s face as he let your words sink in. Finally he put the pieces together. Grabbing a hold of your hand again, he places his other under your chin and lifted it to meet his eyes. “Hey.... listen... If you think I replaced you with Tina, you’re wrong.... no on can replace you.”

His words helped, but you were afraid he didn’t fully understand. You loved him. You wanted to be with him. 

You shook your head and looked up at him. “No, Newt.... you don’t understand...” Pausing, you finally came out and said it. “I love you...” It came out as almost a whisper. Waiting for him to turn away in disgust, you watched as a smile spread across his face. 

“I love you too.”

“What?”

“I said, I love you too. I’m sorry if I made it seem as though I had feelings for Tina. She’s a good friend, but she’s not the one I fancy. I’ve fancied you for quite some time now... I just- I just never knew how to tell you.”

You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Had you heard him correctly? Your palms became sweaty and you felt butterflies filing your stomach. Hearing these words made your head spin, but in a good way.

“Please don’t ever do this again. You scared me nearly to death. I thought I’d lost you.” Newt grabbed you and wrapped you in his arms again. Wrapping your arms around him, you apologized. 

“I just didn’t know how to numb the feelings of hurt.” You replied. “I just.... I just needed something to distract me. I’m sorry...”

“Don’t be sorry.... just promise me that whenever you start to feel this way or any way at all, talk to me, love.”
