“Yeesh…you have a deeper Raph chasm than Raph himself…” The red eared slider lightly joked as he caught a glimpse of his smaller counterpart.
The younger counterpart in question didn’t even seem…remotely phased by the remark, looking over the city of NYC like it was going to be his last time doing so.
But the smaller turtle felt like he was being slightly watched…(which, he in fact was) he then looked up and locked eyes with his older counterpart. “…Huh? W-Were you talking to me?”
“Nope. I was just talking to my imaginary friend Mr. Snoozle— of course I was talking to you.” Leon said sarcastically, raising an eye ridge at the other teen.
Leo blushed slightly at the elder’s sarcasm, rubbing the back of his neck nervously, “Sorry…I-I was spacing out…I do that a lot.”
“Yeah…no kidding. I’ve been talking to you for the past ten minutes and all I’ve gotten from you were six 'mhm’s', three 'yup’s' and seven 'dang that’s crazy's'.” The older one snorted, “If I didn’t know any better, it seems like you don’t wanna talk to me.”
“No! I-It’s not that!” The smaller turtle immediately protested, fiddling nervously with his fingers as he gazed at the streets of NYC once more.
Which…was really the only thing he could do right at this moment.
Besides…the city always looked so…pretty in the evenings.
Well, if there wasn’t crime happening…
…Which was, like, a good 40-50% of the time but still.
“So…what is it, then? Why did you take me to a random rooftop in the smack middle of NY? 'Cuz, no offense…but I was having a nice first place winning streak in Fashion Famous before all of this.” The taller turtle said.
The honey brown teen raised a doubtful brow, “…You play Fashion Famous?”
“Psh…who doesn’t?” Leon scoffed, “But that’s a question worth discussing for another day…” He said as he leaned his shell against the rooftop guardrail as he looked up at the afternoon soon to turn to evening sky, “So tell me..what’s going on, dude?”
“…I…I needed to talk to you…” Leo mumbled.
“I…can see that.” The elder giggled, “But, what did you wanna talk about?”
The younger fiddled with his fingers nervously again, picking at his thumb’s hang nail slightly as he avoided the other’s gaze entirely now, “…How…H-How do I become a good leader…?”
Leon blinked in confusion, darting his eyes around the rooftop looking for someone else before letting out a humorless laugh, “Uhuh…whahahat?”
“I-I said…how do I become a good leader…?” Leo repeated, a bit quieter this time.
“…You’re asking me that?” The slider asked incrediously.
“Yes…!” Leo emphasized, getting off of the rail to look at the taller turtle, “How do I—”
“U-Uh…this is…flattering and all, b-but I reheally think you should talk to my Raph about…that.” The red eared slider interrupted, rubbing his arm anxiously and tensing up a bit as the other mutant looked at him with confusion and distraught.
“What? Why!?” Leo asked, getting up from the ledge to look fully at his older counterpart.
“Well, I’m not the oldest turtle in the family like you. I’m the second youngest. Raphalla has more experience, more wisdom and aaaaall that good stuff.” The lime green eyed turtle said as he grimaced awkwardly, picking at a hangnail as well.
Great minds think alike, I suppose…
The honey brown eyed mutant blinked, “I…so? Your still the leader of your team—“
“Welp…this conversation has been fun but I gotta go—”
“But—”
“I have a toooooon of stuff to do now that I think about it…”
“B-But I—”
“And besides, I’m sure your leadership skills aren’t as bad as you think they are—”
“PLEASE!!” The younger shouted as the older tried to leave, making the other flinch slightly at the sudden and random yell, “…Please. J-Just a small piece of advice! A-A hint…! Anything!”
The taller mutant sighed inwardly, turning around as he crossed his arms— not in a malicious way…but it was really the only form of body langauge he could do at the moment other than picking more at his skin…
…Which, he promised Donnie he would try to stop doing…
“…Why do you want my input so bad…?” The lime green eyed teen asked, mentally cringing at how weak and fragile he sounded.
“I…I don’t know.” The younger mumbled quietly as he sat down against the ledge on the building, hugging his knees to his chest, “I just…figured you would know some stuff…”
“Some…stuff?” The other pressed.
Leo rolled his eyes, “You know what I’m taking about; being a good leader and all that shit!”
“Pfft— HAH! Trust me, dude…I’m just as lost as you are with this whole 'being a good leader' thing.” Leon chuckled, sitting down next to his counterpart.
“…What are you talking about?”
“I just became a leader, like…two-ish weeks ago? I dunno…the past weeks have been a complete blur.” The red eared slider explained, holding in an amused snort as he saw how genuinely shocked the other turtle was by his new lore drop.
“My Raph was originally the leader of the team but after my family defeated the Shredder…my Dad was just all like: 'Blue, you’re the new leader now' and the rest was history…”
“…Just like that?” The honey brown eyed teenager asked in pure surprise.
“Just like that.” Leon confirmed.
“Well, fuck me, then…” The smaller teen grumbled in defeat, burying his face in his knees as the other let out the amused snort he’s been holding in, “I’m good, thanks.”
“You know that’s not what I meant.” The younger grumbled at the older’s immaturity.
…He needs to make a mental note to himself to never let his own Mikey and Leon be in the same room with one another…
“I personally think you have nothing to worry about, though. You seem like you’re doing a pretty good job—” Leon tried to say.
“But I’m not!” Leo exclaimed as he interrupted the older, mentally punching himself for making a loud outburst again, “I-I’m…not…”
“My brother’s don’t listen to me.” The smaller teen explained, his voice either demonstrating frustration or self-depreciation…
…Leon couldn’t tell.
“They always assume I want to be bossy or I want to be controlling but in reality I just wanna protect them!” The honey brown eyed turtle seethed, “I-I just want to be there for them a-and help!!! I knowthat we’re all the same age and I guess it seems like I’m babying them but I kinda have to because they aren’t responsible! They wouldn’t know responsibility if it walked up to them and punched them straight in the face!!”
The lime green eyed mutant rubbed his arm, tapping his fingers on his knees to try and calm himself down; getting overwhelmed was not a good look on him.
Plus, it clashed with his autumn shade.
“…Just, uh…trust yourself…?” The elder tried.
“But I don’t!” The younger shouted, “I’ve tried and tried and tried to lead but they just. don’t. listen! I-I can’t lead people who don’t want to be lead!”
“…Your Dad picked you to be the leader for a reason—”
“Well I don’t even know what that damn reason is! ” Leo seethed, burying his face into his arms, “My brother’s want Raph to lead…they don’t want…me. They want someone collective and strong and dependent as their leader; someone who they can be relient on…s-someone who they can trust…”
The smaller mutant let out a wet scoff, looking to the side of himself, “…I’m none of those things…”
Almost on cue to the emotional moment, Leon slapped his younger counterpart upside on the head…hard.
Leo let out a small squawk, rubbing the back of his head as he glared at the other.
“What the freaking hell was that for?!” Leo seethed.
“For saying a bunch of dumb shit!” The older seethed back, “Y'know that’s my job, right?” He said as he crossed his arms, glancing straight ahead as he saw the sun peeking out from behind a building….
…It was honestly giving the Attack on Titan intro and Leo wasn’t complaining one bit.
“Look…I’m not going to lie to you; being the leader isn’t easy.” The lime green eyed teen exclaimed knowingly.
“Gee, I wonder what gave you that idea.” The other grumbled under his breath.
“Just let me cook!”
“Well, right now you’re burning.”
Leon just rolled his eyes at the smaller’s sassy remark, continuing, “I get it, okay…? Being the leader is…challenging. Especially when you know the people your supposed to be leading don’t…want your leadership— or at the very least aren’t used to it.”
The lime green eyed teenager got up, brushing his legs off as he looked over the building’s rail, seeming like he was…trying to remember something, “It’s…a lot. Your still a kid but you’re literally forced to manage all of these responsibilities and high expectations everyone has for you…”
The older sighed, playing with his mask tails as he glanced at the ground, wishing it had an answer to his and Leo’s predicament, “A-And you don’t…you don’t know what those expectations are…”
The taller mutant sighed, looking back at his younger counterpart, “But you just…gotta keep going…y’know? Your Dad picked you to be leader for a reason, I’m sure.” Leon assured.
“But my brother’s—”
“'Want Raph?'” The red eared slider said, “Wehell, you aren’t Raph, now are you?”
“…no.”
“Exactly. So stop trying to compare. You’re Leonardo. Lead how Leonardo would lead.” The elder smiled softly.
God, he sounded so freaking…wise right now!!!
“But…I don’t know how Leonardo leads…that’s why I’m asking you…!!” The younger said.
Leon snorted, “You gotta figure it out, then! Only you can determine how Leonardo leads. Yes…we’re both Leo’s in a sense but we’re different people…you feel me?”
“I…I-I feel you.” The honey brown eyed teen nodded slightly, “I just…I just don’t wanna mess anything up, I guess…”
“Hate to break it to you…but you 100% will. That’s the great thing about being, well…you. I don’t need to be an alternate version of you to know you fuck things up constantly.” The older Leonardo joked lightly, his soft smile turning to a smug grin as he saw how appalled his younger self got at the comment.
“And you’re going to fuck up a lot of things when you’re leading your brothers…I’d be lying if I said you wouldn’t. But…overtime you’ll get better…you won’t be perfect…but you’ll get better.” The elder announced, looking over his shoulder to lock eye’s with Leo, “And sooner or later your younger brother’s will learn to trust you to lead them…but you have to trust yourself first.”
Leo’s eyes widened slightly, looking back at his older self with nothing but…respect and compassionnow.
His advice actually made…sense. Which is an actual shock because all the things he usually says is just plain old gibberish.
“So, you gonna pay me?” Leon asked as he sat back down.
“Huh?” The younger said as he tilted his head in confusion.
“I said: Are you gonna pay me?” The older asked again, “Advice doesn’t come for free, y'know.” And in a result to the random question and statement, Leo scratched the side of his head, glancing away nervously, “I mean…I have some Jolly Rancher wrappers in my pocket if you’d like that.”
The older Leonardo raised an unamused brow, biting back a genuine smile at the younger’s attempted transaction.
“…I’ll…take that as a maybe…?” The shorter mutant quietly guessed.
“I’ll pass…but I appreciate the offer.” The red eared slider laughed, wrapping his younger counterpart in a hug as he rested his hand on his side, squeezing it comfortingly, “With you and me as our brother’s leaders…there’s absolutely nothing we can’t solve!”
The older mutant faltered, scratching his chin in sudden realization, “Besides girls…I still haven’t decoded them yet.”
Leo randomly let out a laugh at the joke, shaking his head as a couple snorts and squeals followed.
The older Leo raised an amused brow, chuckling lightly at the other’s giggle fit, “Ohoookay…it was never that fuhunny.”
“Ihi nehehever sahaid ihat— snrt! Yohour hahahand!!!” The younger Leonardo squeaked, holding the other’s wrists loosely. “Oh.” The lime green eyed teenager hummed, his amused eyeridge raise now becoming…smug, “You don’t happen to be…ticklish, do you?”
The smaller mutant gulped as his counterpart muttered out…the word; and so casually too?!
“N-Noho! N-Nohoh I’m nohot!” The honey brown eyed turtle squeaked out despretley, letting out a city-wide squeal as Leon pinched his hips with his free hand whilst still trapping/wrapping him in a hug. “Really? Well, last I checked, people who 'aren’t ticklish' don’t usually squeal when their hips are squeezed, bud.”
“Ihihat’s— snrt! Juhuhust stahap!!”
“If my memory serves me correctly, you said you 'weren’t ticklish', right?” The elder said as he wiggled his free hand near the other’s stomach.
Which, in fact, was enough to keep the other boy completely howling with laughter.
Leo screamed, twisting and turning to try and steer away from the tortuous fingers, “N-NohO nohOHO snrt WAHAIT-!!!”
“Soooo…you obviously don’t mind this, right?” Leon smirked as he used his left hand to scribble around the smaller turtle’s tummy while his right hand wrapped around his shell and tickled his underarm. “IHI MIHIHIND! IHI snrt MIHIHIND snrt AHA LAHAHAT!” The younger mutant squeaked out in panic, flailing and shouting about.
“But why~? You’re obviously not ticklish.” The red eared slider shrugged casually.
“IHI SNRT SNRT AHAM!!” The smaller mutant suddenly confessed, pushing on the taller’s chest, “IHI AHAM SNRT  IHIHI AHAM SNRT SNRT IHI SNRT AHAHAM!!”
“Oh! So…you lied to me?” The older mutant questioned as he clamped Leo’s thigh repetitively.
The complete audacity of this kid…
It was impressive, honestly…
Leo hiccuped, burying his head in the elder’s shoulder, “NOHO! IHI— snrt! GYAHAHA PLEHEHEASE!!”
“Noho! You lied to me, you little twerp! Ugh…the betrayal! And here I thought we were having a nice little bonding moment!” The red eared slider cried dramatically as he stuffed his hands in Leo’s underarms.
The younger Leonardo loudly squawked, snorting up a storm as the elder continued to relentlessly tickle him to pieces, “L-LEHEEEEEEEHEON!!”
“Hm~? Yeah~? What is it, bud?”
“PLEHEHEASE!! NAHAT SNRT SNRT THAHAT!!!” The honey brown eyed mutant squealed, his yell bouncing off the walls of the buildings of New York. “Why~? Is it your tickle spot~? Your tickle tickletickle spot~? 'Cuz your tickle tickle ticklish~?”
“SHUHUT UHUHUP!!” The smaller turtle howled as Leon scribbled his nails along the other’s plastron patterns, “OHO MY GAHASH YOHOUR SOOHOH MEAN!!!”
“Mean?” The lime green eyed teenager repeated innocently, “I’m not mean~! I’m just asking you a couple questions.”
“I-IHIHI CAHANT SNRT SNRT SNRT BREATHE!!”
“That sounds like a yohou problem, but hey! That’s just me…”
“OKAHAY!!!” The younger wheezed, happy tears pricking out of his eyes; awaiting to fall, “STOHOP! STOHOHAP!!”
“Stopping stopping…” The elder teenager giggled, doing as he promised and stopping. He wrapped his younger counterpart in a hug, letting the shorter turtle snort and snicker in his shoulder once more, “You got this…okay?” He assured.
“W-Whahat…? Whahat snrt snrt doohoo I snrt hahahave??” Leo questioned through his giddy laughs which Leon couldn’t help but huff fondly to, “The…Thehe leading thing, dude. You got it, okay? Just remember what I said and you’ll be fine.”
“I dohon’t eheheven remember whahat yohou said toohoo beehee honest..”
“I can tickle you again to help you remember—“
“N-NONOHO IHIHI’M GOOD!” Leo emphasized, hugging his middles and burying his head into Leon’s shoulder deeper. The elder just hugged him tighter, resting his cheek on the top of the younger’s head.
The two didn’t know a thing when it came to leading…
But they were going to try…they were going to try leading…
…Because that’s really all anyone could ask for…
Their best.

OH MY GOSH PROMPTS!! 💖💖💖 I adore your fics so much! 💖 I would absolutely love something for Mutant Mayhem with lee Leo and ler Raph! Throughout the movie he’s so touchy feely with his brothers and it’s so cute. Maybe he’s teasing Leo for liking April and makes him wonder what would happen if April found out he was ticklish which flusters Leo to no end. Of course take all the time you need and I hope you’re well!

Two hours. It has been two absolutely awesome, amazing, astonishing, stupefying, magnificent, incredible, extraordinary, staggering, astounding, perplexing, confounding, stupendous hours being on a call with the one and only April O’Neil.
And yes, Leo looked up more than half of those synonyms. He’s a man of many words.
The two friends have been on a FaceTime call for…no particular reason, actually. Leo and April just collectively agreed that being on a call and doing classwork with each other would be a lot more fun than doing said classwork by themselves.
But, April was an only child. The poor girl wouldn’t have anyone her age to help her finish the homework anyway.
Leo’s brothers on the other hand…chose not to help him with his homework in any way, shape, or form.
Raph has, like, 10 missing assignments from each class— (scary yet impressive honestly) so asking him for help wouldn’t help either of them.
Mikey keeps LOSING his homework (which he always blames their Mom for eating…since she does kinda eat literally anything and everything)…
And Donnie? He only ever helps people with homework if they give him free V-bucks (or however you spell it…idk man—). And does it LOOK like Leo can or will ever own V-bucks???
But at the end of the day, the leader in blue couldn’t really blame his brother’s for not helping. I mean, it’s homework. Doing work at home. In all fairness, the word alone just sounds wrong…
What they all were learning in class was stupid anyway. It was all taxes and discounts and blah blah blah…
It was boring. Like…BORING boring.
And complicated…super freaking complicated.
And anytime Leo would ask a question about said homework, every teacher would say the same exact phrase: “Why didn’t you ask your parents or guardian for help?”
Even thinking about the question for a split second made Leo shiver. What did he look like? Some bright genius? He’s not Young Shelldon— if anything that’s Donnie.
Besides, what did the teachers expect them to do? Ask their parents for help with their homework? Psh. Yeah right. As if.
Google exists for a reason, y’know.
And not to be the bearer of bad news here but…Leo’s Dad’s a fucking rat. No offense to Splinter of course, but if his Dad couldn’t tell the difference between Andrew Tate and Timothée Chalamet, what makes you think he would know the difference between debit cards and credit cards?
“I freaking hate English...” April grumbled from Leo’s phone screen, “It makes absolutely no sense. We break the rules that we created specifically for this language!”
Leo stopped typing on his laptop, blinking a couple of times out of confusion, “What do you mean?” He giggled amused, looking up and glancing at her intrigued.
“Y'know the 'I before e except after c' rule?” She asked.
“Yeah? I know of it.”
“It doesn’t make any sense. Like…at all. There are a ton of words that don’t follow it.”
“Oh.” The mutant huffed out a small laugh, closing his laptop and putting it away in his backpack which was to the side of his bed, where he was sitting, “Well…what words? I’m sure there’s only a handful you could think of.”
“There’s neither, foreign, seize, height, protein, caffeine…” She lists out, “…I could go on and on…” Leo blinked absently, “…You’ve been thinking about this for a while, haven’t you?”
The girl with glasses huffed out a small, smug laugh, showing the other teen one of her many notebook’s labeled 'Except after C my ASS.'  “Well, English is weird like that.” The hazel eyed mutant shrugged as the older teen groaned in irritation. “SEE?! See what I mean?! E is before I in the word 'weird!'” The girl announced annoyedly, rubbing her eyes tiredly.
April leaned on her seat, staring up at the ceiling and pondering. “What if I just…banned English?”
“The language or the class?” The mutant asked incredulously.
“Why not both?” She deadpanned. Leo rolled his eyes fondly as he adjusted himself on his bed to a more comfortable and relaxed position, “Well, you have fun with that…”
The two teens shared a comfortable silence, both going back to working on their homework, asking questions every now and again but keeping the atmosphere quiet, calm and settled.
Leo glanced at the screen, resting his palm on his cheek as he just…stared at her.
Which…is extremely creepy and something you should never do to someone (especially if they wield a moped 24/7), but April was just so…
Pretty, attractive, lovely, good-looking, nice-looking, fetching, prepossessing, appealing, charming, delightful, nice…
Okay, well you get the point.
“You’re so smart, April…” Leo mumbled as the girl in question looked up at him, confused and flattered at the sudden/random compliment, “Huh?”
“Huh?” The teenage boy repeated, his face turning a deep crimson as he came to terms that his 'inner thoughts' became his 'outer thoughts'. The girl raised a brow, a teasing smirk plastered on her face, “You just called me smart.”
“No I didn’t!” The mutant denied, “I meant to say, uh uhm…you're such a u-uh…tart!”
Nice save Leo…nice. save.
“A…tart? Are you trying to call me a snack or something?”
“NO!” The blue banded mutant immediately said, his face as hot as fire now, “You’re just very sweet like one. My Dad baked tarts all the time when I was a kid and I was kindaaaa hungry just now. So, I thought of the tarts he used to make and I was like ‘wow, those tarts were sweet as HECK’ and thought about you!”
April stared at Leo for a minute or two before bursting out into laughter, simply going back to her homework, “Pff— okay, certified yapper.” She snickered, going back to jotting down notes in her French textbook.
Suddenly, there was a shout to be heard ringing around the lair, a shout that could only be the home to one of Leo’s family members.
“Is that your tart welding Father calling you?” She teased as Leo groaned, “No…it’s one of my brothers. Which one this time? I have no idea…” The shout of Leo’s name was heard again as the eldest turtle groaned irritably.
“Yes?” The blue banded turtle called out but was only met with silence. I mean, what else is new? He was expecting no answer but it was still annoying. The turtle teen sighed, “One moment please.” He said as he muted himself on the phone. He got up from his bed, going into the middle of the room before yelling at the top of his lungs, “YES???”
“Yeesh. I’m right here, dude. No need to shout.” Raph smiled as he walked into the shared bedroom where the eldest sibling was. Leo only glared at him disapprovingly, crossing his arms against his plastron, “What do you want, Raph?”
“Damn. What did I do to get treated with such hostility?”
Leo raised an unamused brow.
“I mean specifically!”
“I told you guys a million times to not disturb me for the next hour!” The turtle in blue groaned as he rubbed his forehead, “I’m on a call with April doing homework— the homework you all refused to help me with.”
“Y'know once you tell me things it goes in one ear and out the other, right? And besides, it’s not like I’m disrupting you or anything.”
“You are!” Leonardo shouted, “I literally have myself muted on the phone right now because you decided to waltz in here like Godzilla!”
“Would that…make you Kong?”
The eldest’s glare hardened, “Raphael.”
“Alright, alright! Keep your shell on!” The other snickered, “Just felt like checking up on everyone. You weren’t topside or in the lounge area. So I figured you were in here.” The red banded turtle stated as he looked to the side, rubbing the back of his neck bashfully.
The eldest’s eyes softened a bit at that, his crossed arms unfolding and then dropping to his sides. With the whole…fiasco that happened last summer, Raph has been checking up on the family more frequently as of now.
And by 'more frequently', he means the everlasting second of the day. Which was more than Leo has ever done. And that’s saying a LOT.
“I’m fine, Raph.” The leader in blue said, “Again…just on a call with April. You can…join us if you’d like. We’re gonna quickly finish our homework and then just chat. But don’t do or say anything stupid.” The eldest said jokingly as he offered the second youngest a smile.
Raph nodded, squinting suspiciously a bit, “Well you changed your mind quick.”
“I felt like being nice today.” Leo grinned, “So you gonna join or what?”
“I appreciate the offer, but I just wanted to check up on you— I don’t wanna intrude on y'all…seriously.” He trailed off as his elder brother looked at him confused, huffing out a laugh of bewilderment, “Since when have you cared about intruding?”
The red banded teen shrugged, still glancing to the side as Leo groaned loudly and dramatically, slinging one arm over Raph’s shoulder’s and squeezing him in a side hug tightly. With the height difference, the hug kind of looked like if Tom and Jerry were conjoined into one working being…although it was a hug nonetheless.
“You wanted my wonderful and awesome attention so I’m giving it to you. Come on, Kool Aid Man. Let’s go.” The hazel eyed teen said as he dragged Raph to his bed.
“Wait…what did you just call me?”
“Kool Aid Man. Get over it. It suits you.”

.
“Raph…it was never that serious…” April sighed, looking at the second youngest who was pooling out buckets of the ocean from his eyes, but kept a straight face on the screen. The three teens were currently watching the very last episode of Steven Universe…for old times sake.
And let’s just say the red banded turtle wasn’t taking it too kindly.
“April’s right, man. Why are you sobbing like the crying emoji?” Leo cackled, resting his shell against the wall as Raph kicked him. “I AM NOT!” The hot-head yelled, wiping his eyes immediately after his brother asked, “These are manly tears…”
“So…you are crying.” The young leader snickered.
“Screw off, Nerdardo…!” The brown eyed teen groaned, scoffing as the credits played on the IPhone screen. “I fucking hate that show…it’s so fucking dumb…” He sobbed again, burying his face into the palm of his hands.
The leader in blue sighed, patting his little brother’s shoulder as he looked at April, “See what I have to deal with?”
The girl chortled, crossing her arms, “Must be soooo hard.” She mused and the girl smiled in amusement, slumping in her seat as she stopped screen-sharing on her phone, “So what do you guys wanna watch now?”
“Uh…wanna watch that Netflix One Piece movie? I heard that Live Action isn’t…as bad as people say it is.” Leo offered as April scrolled through the different options Netflix had to offer.
“Hell to the no,” The red banded turtle immediately said, “I just escaped a 3 hour anime marathon with Don. I don’t want to see anything having to do with anime until I’m 90. Or when I die. Whichever comes first.”
The other turtle chuckled in amusement, “Fair enough.” He hummed, “What about…Avatar the Last Airbender? The series, of course.”
“You know damn well once we start watching it we won’t stop until we finish it.” April said.
“True that…” Raphael commented.
“Wait!” Leo gasped, “What if we watched a nostalgic movie instead? Like one we all haven’t seen in a long while?” The brown eyed mutant nodded at the idea, resting his shell on the wall as he grinned at the smaller turtle. “Alright…I’m picking up what you’re putting down here, brother. What’s your idea?”
“I didn’t…put anything down.” The elder turtle blinked confused. The red banded turtle huffed in amusement, patting his brother’s shoulder, “Oh, sweet summer child…” Leo rolled his eyes at the comment, brushing Raph’s hand off of his shoulder.
“Oh! I know! What about Monster’s Inc—?” April started to say but was almost immediately shut down by the second oldest turtle, “Nope. Definitely not.”
“Huh? Why not? I love that movie!” The blue banded turtle groaned.
“Yeah.” Raphael said to his older brother, “And you love Jennifer Tilly. Don’t forget that one time where you—“ Leo quickly hit his brother in the shoulder, not allowing him to finish the sentence and glaring at him profusely, “SHUT UP! It was one time! You don’t understand—!”
“—And I don’t want to!” The taller mutant declared, hitting Leo in the shoulder back. “Well, as a little kid you liked that ugly freaking fish from Shark Tales.” Leo added smugly.
“…I will kick you again, Nardo. Don’t test me.” The red banded turtle threatened lightly. The glasses welding teen laughed, rolling her eyes, “I don’t even wanna know…”
April suddenly then cracked her knuckles, adjusting her glasses so they were positioned correctly on her face (due to the fact it was slightly falling off and she can’t and won’t be caught lacking). “Alright y'all, hold on. Lemme lock in on this science assignment…” April muted herself, pulling out her laptop and becoming concentrated in her work.
The two brother’s patiently sat quietly, averting to their own conversation as they waited for their friend to finish her other homework. Leo let Raph have his yap session for a good, like, 2 seconds before the hazel eyed mutant went back to looking at his crush April.
Raph looked at his brother knowingly, wiggling his eyebrows teasingly as the shorter turtle looked at him confused.
“…what?” Leo said.
“What what?” Raph said back.
“You’re looking at me.”
“And you’re looking at April~!”
“SSH SSH SHH! SHUT UP!” The young leader in blue screeched as a light blush appeared on his face. “Why don’t we…watch Avengers Endgame?” April suggested as she unmuted herself.
Huh. She finished that science homework fast. And regarding that their science class is doing Physics right now, she probably used Chat GPT…
Leo’s eyes lit up at the suggestion as Raph groaned loudly, “No! No we are not.” The taller turtle said immediately, leaving no room for argument. The smaller turtle groaned back, crossing his arms in frustration.
Raph facepalmed himself, due to the fact that this exact scene has played out anytime he tries to watch movies with his brother’s (and it’s a miracle that Donnie and/or Mikey weren’t here…or the call would last until the Earth exploded) “Leonardo. For the millionth time: Captain America is not a cool superhero! Like…at ALL!”
“He’s a cool superhero to me!” Leo screeched.
“Yeah! Only to you!” Raph glared as he jabbed Leo in the side. The smaller turtle screamed loudly in surprise, flinching away and covering his side with one arm as he hit Raph in the shoulder with the other.
“Leo? You okay?” April asked, a tad bit concerned from the genuine scream her friend let out.
“I’m fine!” Leonardo said through gritted teeth, “Just…trying to do my chores. Which reminds me: I need to take the trash out.” And with that, the leader in blue pushed his immediate younger brother off of the bed. He stuck the middle finger at him before facing the camera and pretending he didn’t just shove his brother to the abyss that was the side of his resting quarters. “You were saying?” He smiled sweetly at April.
“Is Raph okay?” She asked, trying to stifle her laughs but finding the task extremely hard. “He’ll be fine.” The blue banded turtle simply said, looking to the side of him where Raphael layed.
The turtle in question stuck the middle finger at him as Leo gladly did so back. April snickered at the two’s bickering, rolling her eyes fondly. Leo muted himself for, like, the millionth time during this call, turning to Raph, “Raphael.”
“That’s me.”
The leader in blue’s eye twitched, “I know that’s you! That’s why I said your name!” The elder threw a pillow at his little brother who caught effortlessly.
“Do not— I REPEAT: Do NOT tickle me in front of April, Raph!”
“Why not~?” Raphael snickered evilly like the little shit he proudly was. “Because it’s embarrassing!” Leo said as if his reasoning should’ve been obvious, “And besides, she needs to know that I have absolutely no weaknesses whatsoever!”
“Nardo, I highly doubt she thinks that.”
“What do you know anyway?” The hazel eyed mutant huffed, “Besides, I’m pretty sure she would appreciate talking about Captain America more than she would like to meet Hulk irl.”
Raph gasped, offended, “I DO NOT LOOK LIKE HULK AT ALL!”
Leo giggled amused, unmuting himself, “You said it, not me.”
The glasses-wielding teen rolled her eyes, smirking at Leo, “Are done muting yourself now?” The blue banded teen nodded, “Yeah, sorry. Just needed to take care of a couple things…as you saw.” He gestured to Raph on the ground with his hand.
“…I see.” April mused, “So. What now?”
“Now? Now I will show you something very interesting…” The red banded turtle said as he got up.
Raph pulled his older brother closer to him on the bed by grabbing his ankle, dragging his body (pause...) to his chest as he put him in a small chokehold (one that wouldn’t hurt him of course). Leo sighed impatiently, hitting Raph’s arms like there was no tomorrow.
“Raph, you’re so fucking annoying! Let GO of me!” The leader in blue growled which only caused the taller turtle’s grin to widen. “Hey, April? My friend, my pal, my amiga, my bud, my partner in crime…” He chuckled, “Can I let you in on a little secret?”
“Raph…” Leo warned.
“Well, not really a secret but just some cool info little Leonardo here hasn’t told you yet. He’s wanted to tell you for a long while but you know this dork, he’s shy.”
“Raph!” Leo yelled, squirming left and right as he tried to get out of the small chokehold, inwardly dying from how embarrassing this was going to be.
He would love to be tickled by April. Ever since they’ve become close friends that’s been the #1 thing to do on his bucket list: to tell her he was ticklish. Which sounds easy but it really wasn’t. Still isn’t.
And no matter how many stretches or pokes he did, she would never get the clue.
So, inevitably, he just gave up. Besides, April would freak the flip OUT if she heard his ‘getting tickled laugh’. Like, she’s heard his ‘normal laugh’ but his ‘getting TICKLED laugh???’
Because of his signature laugh, the hazel eyed mutant has been called Elmo, Peter Griffin, Scooby Doo…Patrick Star, the list goes ON.
It would just be straight up HUMILIATING. She wouldn’t make fun of him of course but that sure as hell doesn’t mean she wouldn’t judge. What if he hit her too hard or he kicked her?
And if he SNORTED?
Oh good grief Leo was going to absolutely die today…
The girl snickered, crossing her arms over her chest, intrigued on what this whole ‘secret’ was. “Oh? You’ve been hiding something from me, Nerdo?” Leo shook his head in response to the question, “He ihihis lying, April! Dohon’t listen toohoo this buffons lihies!” Great. And now he’s already laughing.
“I am nohot a liar!” Raphael chuckled at his brother’s infectious laughter, “I’m aha truther. If anything yohou’re a liar for not telling April how embarrassingly ticklish you are.” The taller turtle mused, tickling Leo’s side with his free hand.
Leonardo squawked loudly and then pursed his lips together in an attempt to not laugh. “Okay, Rio. Pop off.” April hummed, not seeming phased by the leader in blue’s predicament at all. The brown eyed turtle sighed knowingly at his immediate older brother’s behavior, shaking his head fondly, “You see here, April: this is what I call I liar right here.”
“Yohou’re the liahair!” Leo squeaked out but fell into a chorus of giggles as Raph’s tickling method changed from scribbling to his side to repetitive squeezes. “You were always more ticklish to squeezes than scribbles, you weirdo.”
“Rahahaph nononoho!”
“Raph yes yes yehehes.” Raphael playfully mocked.
“Dohon’t doohoo thihis in frohont of April!” Leo despretley pleaded, kicking his legs on his mattress in a last attempt to get the sweet sweet taste of freedom. Raph rolled his eyes, “Oh please. You’re fiiiine. Besides, you love this sooooo I don’t even know why you’re complaining.” The young leader’s face burned in absolute humiliation…there was no way in all of Equestria’s three moons that Raph was doing this to him.
No way.
No how.
“Oh yeah, that’s also a thing he forgot to tell you. He freaking loves this. It’s adorable really how much he denies the fact.”
“Oh. He likes tickling?” April asked interested but there was also a hint of genuine interest to it.
“Yeah. All of us do, really. Donnie thinks it’s because we quote on quote, ‘have a touch of the ‘tism’…whatever that means.” Raph remarked smugly, “But this chewed wad of green gum right here likes it most outta all of us, don’t you, Leo?” The hazel eyed teen shook his head, giggling softly and hiding his face in the crook of Raph’s neck.
“See? He’s not even trying to get away.”
“YeHES Ihi ahAHAM!”
“You’re squirming, doofus. If you reaaallly wanted to get away you would’ve whooped my shell by now. But you didn’t. Soooo I’m highly assuming you like it.” Raphael stated as he snuck his hand in his immediate older brother’s underarm which only caused Leo’s face to be practically conjoined with the side of the red banded turtle’s neck.
Leo snorted, kicking his legs on the bed sheets, “M-My GAHASH! Rahaph yohou yahapper— shuhut UHUP!”
The red banded teen smirked, “I am a yapper, actually. Here, lemme demonstrate…” The taller turtle slipped his hand out of his brother’s underarm and just wiggled his fingers, “I’m gonna tickle you so bad, Nardo~! I’m gonna show April just how insanely ticklish you are~!”
The blue banded turtle snorted loudly, refusing to look anywhere that was not the floor. Gosh he was gonna get Raph BACK for this!
Well, if he came out of this alive.
“YohOU AHAsshole *snort* STAHAP!” The smaller mutant screeched, kicking his brother’s arm with his knee repetitively which Raph wasn’t phased by. Raph brought his hand down and scribbled all over the tops of Leo’s knees. “NAHAH! NAHAT *snort* THEHE KNEEHEES NAHAT *snort* THEHE KNEEHEES!!!” The smaller turtle panicked, his legs too tired to kick so he was just left to squirm with his torso.
Raphael huffed out a laugh of amusement, “I hope you’re taking notes of this, April.”
The girl in question giggled lightly, “I’ve been screen recording the whoooole time.”
Raph winked knowingly at his brother, squeezing the top of his brother’s knees as if there was no tommorow. “RAHA— *snort* *snort* RAHAPH PLEHEASE NAHA— *snort *snort* NOHOHOHO!”
April’s eyes widened at the new laugh she was being displayed with, but that newfound shock soon turned to newfound admiration. “Jeeheez…Leo can snort two times in a row?”
“Five if it’s on a good day.” Raph remarked.
With all the leader in blue’s squirming, he was able to get out of the hold for approximately 0.2 seconds before Raph easily “recaptured” him. Although this time, Raph wrapped around one arm over Leo’s torso to hold his arms down to his arms down to his sides. The elder paled, knowing what was coming to him.
Leo almost regretted even allowing Raph to join the call with him and April his EVIL little brother dug his fingers into his stomach. And without his arms, Leo was left completely defenseless and could not do anything but just laugh like he was your typical go-to NYC drug addict.
“Tickle tickle tickle~!” Raph teased. The hazel eyed teen threw his head back as he let out loud, giddy cackles. It was honestly a surprise and a relief no one in the family came to check up on him.
“DUHUDE SHUHU— *snort* *snort* *snort* DOHON’T SAHAY THAHAT!”
“Don’t say what, Gigglenardo? Tickle~?” Raph asked innocently.
“GOHODAHAMMIT! YEHEHES!”
“But it’s such a pog word! Tickletickletickletickle~!” The brown eyed turtle said as he now scribbled on his elder brother’s stomach. Leo let out a genuine Broadway actor scream before falling into his spiral of cackles. “My gohosh I didn’t know he was so ticklish…” April remarked which caused Raph to lightly chuckle, “You have no idea…” He said.
“Gitchie gitchie goo, Gigglenardo…”
“FAHAHACK— *snort* *snort* FUHUCK YOHOU!!!”
“I didn’t even say tickle this time!” Raph fake pouted, “But I guess I could since you miss me saying it so much~! Tickle tickle~! Kitchie kitchie coo~!”
The glasses wielding teen looked at her friend fondly, “Nardo I’ve never seen you laugh like this. We should do this more often.” She said as Leo’s face turned to the Earth’s core.
Well…at least April seemed to geuniely like his laugh…? That’s a win.
“RAHA— *snort* *snort* PLEHEHEASE!”
“Please~? Plehehease what, big bro~?”
The cackling turtle squealed, tears of joy being clearly seen in his eyes. “THIHIS IHIS MEEHEEAN!!!” He whined through his laughs as April and Raph fondly rolled their eyes. “Oho…I can show you mean, bro. I’m just using one hand and you’re already a squirmy, giggly mess. Imagine what it’ll be like if I used both of my hands…”
“BEEHEE QUIHIHIET!”
“Eh, you don’t have to imagine. I’ll just…” And with that, Raph scribbled against the side of the leader in blue’s ribs with both of his hands now. The hazel eyed teen immediately pulled his arms down, hugging his middles and just laughing hysterically. “Uh oh…Nardo, did I find a bad spot~?” Raph fake pondered as he scratched at his big brother’s lower ribs.
The brown eyed turtle looked at his friend, “April, you’re a news reporter, right? Tell me something about this new discovery!“ He said in a sudden sweet and innocent tone. “AHAPRIL AHAPRIL *snort* DOHOHON’T!” The blue banded turtle teen squeaked out but his pleas were ignored by the other two.
April grabbed an Expo marker, putting it to her mouth as if it was a microphone as she adjusted her glasses again. “Hello, I am April O’Neil and I am reporting from The Splinterson’s room. As you can see, Leonardo– the small Mucinex mascot over there– is getting his shit absolutely wrecked by Shrek over here.”
“HEY!” Raph shouted, offended, “I do not look like Shrek!”
“YOHOU *snort* KIHINDA—“ Leo started but was soon cut off as the red banded turtle started to squeeze at his hips. “No one asked you, Mr. Mucus.” Raphael huffed.
“Other than the whole Shrek thing, I think that was a pretty good report. Thanks, Apes.”
“No probs, Raph.”
“SHUHUT UP! THE BOHOTH OF *snort* *snort* YOHOU!” Leo snorted as April and Raph shared an amused look. Raph ceased his tickle onslaught on his brother, wrapping him in a hug and giving him a small noogie. Leo huffed as he caught his breath, glancing to the side to try and hide the smile on his face.
“I screen recorded everything, Nardo. I hope you know that.” April grinned cheekily as Raph copied the grin as well.
“And I hope you know that I hate the both of you…” The young leader giggled, swatting at Raph’s arms but didn’t hit with an attempt to hurt him.
“APRIL!” Mrs. O’Neil yelled from downstairs in April’s apartment, “COME DO YOUR LAUNDRY!”
The girl in question groaned, looking to the side where her Mom was calling her, “MOM! I’M BUSYYYYYY! I CAN DO IT LATERRRRRR!!!” She whined.
“APRIL O’NEIL!” Her Mom said in a warning tone.
The girl in glasses sighed, resting her cheek on her palm, “I gotta go before my Mom kills me, you guys.” She groaned, “April O’Neil out.” April concluded with emphasis as she left the call. Leo sighed, bringing a pillow to his face as he hid under his blankets, groaning loudly.
“I hate you so much…”
“Oh you’ll be fiiiine. You should thank me. She is going to wreck your shit on Monday.” Raph nonchalantly said as Leo buried his face into the pillow deeper.

School is what you make of it.
It could be absolute hell wrapped in a box to make it seem entertaining, or it could be a box full of oppurtunities and dreams awaiting you…but end up being hell either way. Do with that information as you will.
And for April right now? School was definetly becoming a living hell…more than it already was anyway.
It was near the end of school. Like— the very last week of school. The students have cleaned their lockers, they were done with finals and basically everything was completed in order to leave.
So it still raises the question as to why April was still obligated to be here. She had one more week left of this torture called school, but it was starting to feel like an eternity!
And her last period class wasn’t making it any better either.
It was Math.
Fucking. Math.
And if you knew anything about Math periods…they took a century to finish. Plus, it was always so boring because their teacher would never. stop. yapping.
“I want to go home.” April grumbled quietly, resting her cheek on her palm at her desk as their teacher— Ms. Miller— explained bullshit she didn’t know nor care about. Leo snorted in amusement at the comment, turning his head slightly at his friend who was beside him.
“Oh? Are you not enjoying Ms. Miller’s wonderful insight?” The teen in blue asked teasingly. Although, it was abundantly clear he too was not enjoying their teacher’s well known yap-sesh.
The older teen just sighed in response, slouching in her chair as she crossed her arms across her chest, “This class is going to be on my suicide note.” She muttered under her breath. Leonardo put his hand over his mouth at her grumbled comment, looking down on his desk as he was trying not to laugh.
Ms. Miller, who was at the front of the room smacked the whiteboard sternly with her ruler, causing the whole class to stiffen in surprise and look at her.
“She goin' get me…” Mikey mumbled under his breath, causing the entire class to try and hold in their giggles the best they could.
The teacher sighed tiredly, rubbing her eyes before looking at the class, “Since it’s the end of the school year and I literally cannot wait to not see any of you for a good two to three months, let’s just do a Math activity for the remainder of class.”
“Awe!!! Your letting us play a game because you love us???” Mikey asked.
“No. I’m not giving you all a 'game' because I don’t feel like grading anything.” She responded.
“Fair enough.” The turtle in orange mused as the teacher passed around sheet’s of paper with equations on it. “You can partner up with someone to complete all thirty questions. The first pair to answer all thirty questions and get them all right gets Dum-Dum lolipops.” She finished explaining as the kids gave knowing looks to each other, telepathically communicating with one another who would partner up with who.
“…I feel like you’re trying to imply something with those lollipops, Ms. Miller…” Raph said as he raised a brow. The teacher let out a small laugh in response, sitting down at her desk as she went on her phone.
Okay…so perhaps this day wouldn’t turn out as bad as April initially thought.
The girl in glasses gave her blue cladded mutant friend a knowing look, which he gladly reciprocated as she scooted closer to him and started to work on the problems together.
“We are going to absolutely dominate every single fucking person in this classroom and win that candy.” The older teen said as she cracked her knuckles, taking out her pencil case and taking out a pencil.
Which was the Ticonderoga No. 2 pencil of course.
“…Are you sure?” The hazel eyed mutant asked as he looked over the problems, “I’m not that good in Geometry…”
“Pff— am I sure? Sure I’m sure! Your girl right here got an A in Geometry.” April smiled as she slung an arm over the other’s shoulders, “Don’t worry your pretty little head, Leo Lazilee. I’m going to absolutely carry our team to sugary sweet VICTORY!”
The younger slightly blushed at the nickname, rolling his eyes fondly, “I told you to stop calling me that…” He mumbled out but the other could tell he did not mean it one bit.
The girl in glasses grabbed her pencil, ready to start solving the problems before really and truly looking as to what was in front of her.
“The fuck is this shit?” The girl questioned, looking at the paper as if it grew ten heads out of nowhere. Leo mentally facepalmed, looking at the sheet alongside his best friend as they both looked at it in confusion.
“…Why does the Math problem have shapes…?” The leader in blue mumbled to his friend beside him.
“…Okahay, we’re both officially stupid.” The girl in glasses chuckled out, putting the pencil on the table as she leaned back on the chair.
The hazel eyed teen rolled his eyes at the automatic acceptance of defeat from his teammate, “Your no help.” He huffed out, turning around in his seat to face the person behind him.
Which, if you’re wondering, was none other than his big beautiful brained little brother Donnie.
Oh, and Raph was here too, I guess.
“Psst, Don! PSST!!!” The leader in blue whispered to his brother although he was literally a centimeter away from him. The purple cladded turtle in question looked up from the worksheet to meet his older brother’s gaze, “Nardo, why are you whispering so loudly?” He questioned.
“I need your answers for the worksheet thingie!” Leo said.
“Are you crazy?” The hoodie wearing turtle asked as he huffed out a laugh, “Me? Dona Tello? Give you my answers? HA! Sorry, dear brother of mine…you expect waaaay too much.”
Raph was sitting next to Donnie as the two teammates went shoulder to shoulder and barricaded the worksheet with their arms so Leo couldn’t see the paper. At all. The eldest huffed, turning back around and slumping in his chair with his arms crossed.
Well, since his brain and brawn brother’s did not want to help him and April through these dire times, perhaps his youngest brother would be of aid.
Leonardo got up, walking a couple seats down to where Mikey and Mondo were. The two friends were just telling jokes to each other and doodling all over the back of the paper. The hazel eyed teen did nothave the patience and/or stamina to even ask the two if they knew it was a worksheet in the first place and not some coloring page.
Besides, from what Leo heard, the two seemed to be having a meaningful convo about the Trump vs. Biden presidential debate, MLP, Helluva Boss, amusement parks and…grass.
How do those topics all correlate in a conversation? Leonardo has absolutely no clue!
But the two were making it work, so he wouldn’t question it.
The eldest turtle went back to his seat, letting out a defeated sigh as April patted him on the shell comfortingly. “Seems like we’re going to have to do this the old fashioned way...” The leader in blue muttered out as he sat up straight,  looking over the problems again.
After a couple minutes of Leonardo just aimlessly staring at the paper, April got impaitent and just grabbed the worksheet, looking at the problems for a split second before jotting down random answers.
“Uh…Prill? You know I never question your unorthodox way of doing things…but I am 100% questioning it right now.” The younger teen said as he peeked over to look at the questions— which April was halfway done with.
“Trust the process, Nerdo. I’ll have us swimming in candy in no time!” The girl grinned, going into her pencil case to sharpen her pencil. The blue cladded turtle took one more good look at the paper and examined it thouroughly.
Look, Leo’s only been in school for about a year now, but he’s 99.9% positive Geometry answers should not be just question marks.
As the chocolate brown eyed teen was ready to write down another answer to the worksheet, the other snatched the pencil away from her quickly, glaring at her playfully as she glared playfully back.
“Oho, Leo~!” The girl sang in a sing-song voice, “I would be ever-so grateful if you could give me back my pencil. My Ticonderoga No. 2 pencil to be exact.” She exclaimed with emphasis and whimsy.
“Soho yohou can wrihite quehestion marks ahall over the paper? Yeheah…noho...” The mutant remarked.
“Juhust gihive me my pehencil!”
“Noho!”
April almost automatically poked Leo in the side due to his statement, causing the turtle to shriek in surprise as he flinched slightly from the touch. The random noise that escaped his mouth got a couple of concerned looks from his other classmates but they soon deflected and went back to doing their own thing.
The slightly taller teen clutched the pencil to his chest like it was the last piece of pizza on Earth and he was fighting for it with every single fiber in his body. He scooted his chair slightly away from his friend but she easily and gladly followed, raising a brow in amusement and delight.
“Why are you so nervous all of a sudden~?” She asked innocently as the other avoided her gaze, looking to the side of him as he was trying not to literally grab his backpack and sprint all the way back to the lair in complete terror.
“Nardo~! My pencil, please!” The other smiled sweetly as she extended her hand, awaiting her fellow teammate to give back what was rightfully her’s. “Ahand ihif Ihi dohohon’t…?” Leo meekly asked, letting out a soft and tiny squeal as the older pinched his side again.
“You know what’s going to happen, you goof. I have no problem doing this in front of everyone.” April said as she now squeezed Leo’s sides with her fingers. The slightly taller teen snorted, slightly sliding down in the chair as he tried to avoid his best friend’s attacks.
“S-Stahahap!!” The blue cladded turtle giggled, batting at April’s arms with his arms weakly. The girl chuckled at the adorable sight, booping Leo’s nose before squeezing his sides once more. “You don’t really want me to stop though, do you?” She mused as the younger stomped his legs on the floor, trying his absolute best to keep his reaction to a minimum.
“Your brother and April need to get a room, brah…” Mondo chuckled in amusement as him and Mikey watched the scene unfold. The youngest turtle sighed knowingly, leaning back on his chair, “Tell me about it…”
The leader in blue weakly thrashed in his seat, hugging his middles whilst still having the pencil in his right hand. “Aha— *snort* AhaHAPRIHIL!” He giggly said.
The girl just smirked in response, sneaking her hands to the other’s underarms and resulting him to let out loud giddy cackles and snorts. “Oho~? Snorting already?” She asked.
The mutant shook his head back and forth, covering his mouth with his hands to try and muffle his laugh. The glasses wielding teen scoffed lightly at the action, digging harder into the other’s underarms. “Ohhhh no you don’t, Leo Lazilee. I am not allowing you to hide your precious giggles from me! Drop your hands~!”
“FAHAH— *snort* *snort* MAHAKE MEEHEE!!”
“Have it your way.” The elder teen said casually, effortlessly holding the leader in blue’s arms up as her fingers scribbled all over his stomach and sides.
Leonardo threw his head back, stomping his feet on the ground as he tried to squirm away from April. “Tickle tickle tickle~!”
“PFFT— *snort* NAHAHA!! D-DOHON’T EHEHEVEN *snort* *snort* DOHON’T *snort* SAHAHAY THAHAT!!!”
“Hm? Don’t say what, Lee-o~? Tickle~?” April teased as the mutant’s laughter raised an octave. “NAHA— *snort* NOHOHO STAHAP IHIT!”
“How about…no? Tickletickletickletickletickletickle~!” The girl continued to tease as she watched her best friend turn into a giggly puddle of snorts and squeals. “Is someone too tickle tickle ticklish~? Does this…tickletickletickletickletickle~?”
The hazel eyed teen snorted loudly, “PRIHIHILLIE!!! PLEHEHEASE STAHA— *snort* NONONOHOHO— *snort* *snort* NAHAHAH!!!”
“No what~? Are you too ticklish for this~?”
“SHUHUT *snort* UHUHAHAP!!”
The chocolate brown eyed girl stopped her attack altogether at the sudden and very rude comment, glaring teasingly at her friend as if to say: 'Your about to get it.'
Raphael shook his head in mock dissapointment, eating a bag of Doritos as he was watching the one sided tickle fight right in front of him “Saying 'shut up' to April is absolutley wild. And doing that literaly four months after Women’s History month?! For shame, brother. For. shame.” The tallest turtle said dramatically.
“Anyways, try aiming for his lower stomach. It drives him batshit crazy.” The second oldest turtle casually said, grinning as he saw the eldest giving him the nastiest stink eye.
The girl smiled in awaiting triumph, “Okay then. Thanks— wait a sec. Raph, where the hell did you get Doritos from?!”
“My…backpack?” The red cladded turtle said as if his answer should’ve been obvious.
“Dude, this is literally our last period.” Donnie laughed, still solving the last couple of problems on the worksheet.
“So? Last time I checked, this was a free country. I’ll eat Doritos any time and at any class period. Period.” Raphael announced as he ate more of the Dorito chips from the bag. The girl in glasses just rolled her eyes fondly, keeping her friend’s wrists in a hold as the other hand wiggled slowly to his lower stomach.
“N-NAHAH— *snort* *snort* NOHOHOH!!!”
“Gihive me my pehehencil yohou buffoon!”
“IHIHI’LL *snort* STAHAB *snort* YOHOHOU *snort *snort* WIHITH IHIHIHIT!!!”
“You wanna see how that’ll end~?”
“N-NOHO! NONOHOHO WAHA— *snort* WAHAIT IM SORRY!!” Leo cried out, being too tired to writhe or pry so he was just stuck laughing his shell off. The slightly older teenager payed him no mind, raising his arms a bit higher as she scribbled her nails all over his plastron and lower plastron.
But ladies and gentlemen? Nothing…absolutely nothing could have prepared anyone in that classroom for what unfolded.
The leader in blue let out a loud, genuine scream before descending into screechy cackles. April soon bursted into loud laughter along with Leo, wondering just how insanely ticklish a ninja turtle could possibly be.
“EEEEEHEHEHAHAH!!! PLEHA— *snort* *snort* *snort* STAHAHAP!!! IHI CAHAN’T TAHAKE IHI— *snort*!!” Leonardo squealed as his laughter went up an octave or two. April was honestly genuinely surprised no teacher from the classrooms came to check up on them to make sure no one was fatally dying.
The teachers aren’t really payed enough to care that much but still!
“TAHAKE IHIT! TAHAHAHAKE *snort* *snort* *snort* IHIHIT! PRIHIHILLIE PLEHAHA— *snort* *snort* PLEHEASE!” As the blue cladded mutant’s laugh and gasps became more frantic, the slightly smaller teen stopped tickling him, grabbing the pencil from his hands as she pat his shoulder comfortingly.
“I just wanted my pencil back. You took my property and I used self defense.” April said teasingly, reaching for the paper and erasing her previous answers to start again. “Ihi’m *snort* gohoing to fihile aha *snort* *snort* complaint…”
“Oho yeah? To who?”
“To Daharth Vahader soho he cahan use thehe force on your ahashy ahass…” Leo grumbled through his giggles, sitting up in his chair as his best friend continued to finish the last of the problems.
As the chocolate eyed teen finished up with the remainder of the problems, her and Leo got up to give the worksheet to the teacher. “Here you go, Ms. Miller! All thirty problems 101% completed.” The girl grinned.
Their teacher raised a brow, pulling up the answer key on her computer as she looked over the two’s work.
“That’s incorrect.” Ms. Miller said.
“Ms. Miller…exactly what’s incorrect?” Leonardo asked.
“…All of it.” The teacher explained. But before she could give the two partners some insight on whatthey did wrong and how they could improve, the two were pushed aside by Donnie and Raph.
“Eat shit, suckers.” Raphael snickered as he handed their teacher the paper (he had sanitized his hands prior due to him eating Doritos earlier. He wasn’t an animal).
“I don’t get paid enough for this…” Ms. Miller sighed, looking over the brain and brawn’s worksheet as she compared it with the answer key, “Good job you two. Everything is correct.” She said, pulling out one of the drawers on her desk to take out a big jar just full of Dum-Dum lollipops.
She handed the huge jar to Raph who gladly accepted it, sticking his tongue out at Leo and April teasingly before directing his attention back to their teacher. “Thanks, teach.” He smiled, going back to his desk.
Donnie on the other hand, started crying from pure joy, dramatically wiping a tear, “Ms. Miller…? Can you get my fellow classmate’s attention? I need to say something important.” He mumbled out meekly. “Here we go…” The leader in blue grumbled as him and April went back to their seats in defeat.
"If you don't like your destiny, don't accept it. Instead, have the courage to change it the way you want it to be." The purple cladded turtle said whenthe class settled down.
“THAT’S A QUOTE FROM NARUTO, YOU COPYCAT!!!” A kid in the class shouted.
“SHUT UP, BRANDON!!! NOBODY ASKED YOU!!!” Donnie basically screeched at his classmate, his voice rising and being similar to the noise of nails on a chalk board. The whole class cringed at the voice crack but no one dared mention it.
“A-And I just wanted to thank my manager! A-And my parents and colleagues…” The purple cladded mutant listed.
“…Donnie has a manager…?” Mondo whispered to Mikey who merely just shrugged, “I’m just as confused as you are, broski…”
“And like big-mouthed Brandon over there mentioned, Naruto says you need to change things the way you want it to be.” The hoodie wearing turtle said wisely.
“So you guys should change the wires in your brains because there was an answer key to the worksheet at the back. But none of you imbeciles noticed.” He grinned, his smile widening as his classmates jaw’s dropped.
“Anyways, thank you all and to all a good night.” The purple cladded teen announced as he bowed dramatically, going back to his seat as him and Raph fist bumped, immediately digging into the lollipop jar.
“I hope they get diabetes.” Leonardo grumbled as the bell rang. The quintet (group of five people in case you’re wondering :3) packing their bookbags and leaving the classroom along with their classmates.
This day definitely didn’t turn out as bad as April initially thought.
She still would’ve appreciated winning, though.

“Are we there yet?” Mikey whined loudly.
“Uh…no?” His immediate older brother said, sighing impatiently.
“…Are we there yet now?” Mikey whined louder.
“No, Mike.” Donnie huffed through his palm as he rested his cheek on his hand, effortlessly playing his Nintendo Switch as he started to drown out his younger brother’s consistent complaining and restlessness.
Which…you would think he got used to by now.
The orange cladded turtle let out a short grunt loudly and dramatically, dragging his hands down his face, “Are we there yet now—?”
“Mikey, I swear to God if you ask that question one more damn time I will not hesitate to open the car door and throw you into ongoing traffic.” Raph growled lowly at the youngest.
“Boys…be nice to each other, please…” Splinter exclaimed from the front seat as he drove.
“But Dad! Mikey’s being annoying!” The tallest turtle moaned and groaned as he sunk in the middle seat.
“When is he not?” Donatello mumbled under his breath.
“Boys…” The rat said warningly.
“…Sorry, Dad…” The teenager’s grumbled collectively as they glared at one another.
The rodent father sighed, plugging his phone into the car unit as he stopped on a red light. “…Why don’t we listen to some Podcasts on the radio?” He offered, trying to find something that his boys would enjoy that didn’t involve ripping each of their tails off.
“Yohou listen to podcasts?” The purple banded teenager exclaimed curiously as he took off his headphones.
“Of course!” Splinter announced proudly, “I’ve been listening to this one that Spy-itify recommended me…it’s really good and well thought out!”
“It’s…It’s…'Spotify', Dad…” The hazelnut eyed teen corrected.
“That’s what I said; 'Spy-itify'.” The father said simply, causing Raph to facepalm and stuff his face right back into his phone.
“What’s the podcast about?” Michelangelo asked as he leaned his head on the closed window as Splinter started to drive again once more.
“It’s about this man talking about nature…it’s extremely interesting; I think you three will enjoy it.” The charcoal eyed rat explained.
“Huh…sounds cool enough.” Donnie snickered, “What’s the guy’s name? Like, the one who mainly talks in the podcast and stuff.”
“Zach Green.” The rat said.
“He sounds like a drug dealer…” Raphael mumbled under his breath, earning some small snickers from his younger brother’s as their Dad started to play the podcast in the vehicle.
A guy, most likely 'Zach Green', started singing as there was a ukulele playing in the background…
…And he sang…
…And sang…
…And. SANG.
And the three teenager’s wouldn’t have minded if the dude sounded…y'know, good!
But he didn’t sound good.
At all.
“Grass is green~! The green is the grass~! The grass is the green and the green itself is greeeen~!” The speaker’s sung as the three teenagers collectively sighed as the Podcast continued to play amongst them.
“…How about we play 'I spy' instead of listening to Shaggy get high?” Mikey suggested as his Dad hummed along to the tune…
Poor soul probably knew this song from heart…
“Anything but this.” Donnie agreed.
“Best idea I’ve heard all day.” The second oldest murmured, crossing his arms as he looked at the youngest expectantly, “Well? You gonna say 'I spy' or what?”
“Let a guy think for a moment!” Mikey shrieked, “Okay, okay, okay…I spy with my little eye—”
“—More like pink eye.” The turtle with glasses giggled under his breath, trying to cover it as a cough as he saw his younger brother side-eyeing him. “Y'know, Dee…we could really go.” The orange banded teenager glared.
“Bet. Catch me outside. 3:30 on the dot.” The purple cladded mutant threatened.
“Bet.” The youngest repeated.
Donatello raised an unamused brow, “I already said 'bet' you phrase snatcher!”
“You don’t own the word 'bet', you four-eyed freak!”
“God— 'BET' YOURSELVES!” Raphael snapped, taking a deep breath as he pinched the bridge of his snout, “I swear to literally anything and everything holy I am completely envying the fact that Leo doesn’t have to suffer in this freaking hell-hole with me.”
The second oldest leaned forward and tapped his Dad’s shoulder, “Speaking of which…how come Leo got to study with April while I—”
“We.” Donnie corrected swiftly.
“—I had to stay with these two excuses for mutants, Dad?” Raphael continued, frowning deeper as his Dad became unresponsive and became completely entranced by the radio, “Dad? Dad? Dad? Daddy? Father? Dad— aaaaand you have your 'I’m locked in to this music' face…gotchu...” The tallest turtle huffed as he sat back down in the middle seat.
“As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted.” The youngest huffed, “I spy something…grey/gray.”
“Grey/Gray? Grey/Gray as in ashy? Ashy as in you?” Donnie smirked, his smirk turning to a smug grin as the orange banded teen glared back at him with a mix of disdain and pure disgust.
“Donnie, I swear—”
“Is it the car seat?” Raph muttered, dying in complete humiliation about the fact that this was his onlysource of entertainment.
Michelangelo shook his head, crossing his arms as he leaned back on the seat, “Nope. Try again.”
“Is it…Dad’s fur?” The turtle with glasses guessed.
“Nooooooope!” The smallest mutant dragged out, sticking his tongue out at the second youngest causing Raph to just sigh, slumping in the chair further.
This car ride was going to be his 13 Reasons Why…
“Okay…seriously, though. Raph-Taff, what’s up?” Mikey asked carefully, looking over his older brother’s stiff and utterly overall unhappy demeanor.
The second oldest just grunted, glancing away and his frown drooping as he locked eyes with his immediate younger brother, “You can tell us anything.” Donnie assured.
“Well…not everything. Almost everything. Semi-everything.” The genius clarified, “Buuuut you get the point…”
“No, no Ihi really really dohon’t...” The red banded teen grimaced.
“What Egghead Humpty Dumpty is trying to say is that you can tell us what’s bothering you. You haven’t been your usual…let’s just say 'Sarcastic Sappy Self'.” The hazel eyed teen confirmed, biting back a chuckle as he saw his purple themed brother gasp in offense.
“I just needa get out of here…” Raphael emphasized, rubbing his temples like he’s seen centuries worth of knowledge, “School was rough. School is annoying. Kids are annoying. Y'all are annoying— no offense.”
“None taken.” The two youngest said in sync.
“And I just need to distress…” Said the older turtle, going on his phone only to be met with a completely pitch black screen, “And my phone is dead. Yip dee doo da fuckin' day…” He cursed.
Mikey rubbed his chin in thought, leaning on the inside door hand rest, “I have an idea for that, actually. Just trust me.”
“'I have an idea' and 'just trust me'…two words I never want to hear come out of your mouth ever again.” Donatello insisted almost immediatelty.
“Shut up.” The smallest mutant exclaimed to his immediate older brother, inhaling and exhaling loudly before continuing, “Okay…so I spy with my little eye—“
“Seriously?” The elder mutant deadpanned.
“Trust me, I said!!!” The younger shouted once more to try and get his point across, “I spy something…black.”
“…Black?” The second youngest asked, tilting his head.
“Black.” Mikey confirmed.
“Ohooo…black.” Donatello snapped his fingers, nodding as he relaxed in his seat.
“Black!” Michelangelo beamed as Raphael looked around in confusion, wondering if his younger brother’s were going to elaborate on this whole 'black' nonsense or if they were just going to communicate via gibberish.
The red banded teen scratched his head in confusion, “…What is happening…?”
The youngest gave his red cladded older brother a knowing look, causing the red cladded mutant in question to just simply sigh longly, “Right riiiight…trust. I got it…”
“Uhhh…” Raphael hummed, looking around the car for something…well, black; as his little brother’s so veeeeery clearly stated.
The chocolate eyed teen raised an uncertain eye ridge, pointing at his own black sweatshirt that he was wearing.
The purple and orange duo nodded, “See? Black!” Donnie grinned, poking his older brother’s sides and causing his older brother in question to shriek loudly and try to cover his middles, wiggling his way over more to Michelangelo.
Whiiiiiich…was a first.
“Yeah! Black!” The smallest mutant smirked cheeringly, prodding the other side of the black sweatshirt wearing boy, “You got it?”
“Ihihi gohohot ihihat I-Ihi gahat ihat!!” Raph said immiediatley, kicking his legs on the car floor as he pushed on the other two’s shoulder’s. “Ehhhhh…I don’t think you do…” The young genius teased lightly.
“Dohon’t a-act smahart with me yohou l-lihittle shIHIT NO!! Mihikey nonononohoh!” He said as he saw Mikey wiggling his fingers near his neck, causing him to try and hide his face in Donnie’s shoulder, swatting the youngest away.
“D'aww~! Hey, big bro! Need a hug~?” The scientist said innocently, wrapping the taller in a hug as the shortest of the three skittered and scratched the red banded mutant’s shell lightly; almost barelytouching it.
The red banded mutant in question wheezed loudly, banging his fists on the car seat whilst his legs stomped up and down, “Wohohoah! Mr. Deflating Balloon Man— yohou okay?” Mikey teased, making sure to trace the patterns on his elder brother’s shell in a very veeeery mean manner.
“Are you boys alright back there?” Splinter asked, getting out of his trance as the podcast soon and finally ended.
“We’re fine!” Donnie beamed, wiggling his fingers into the crooks of the chocolate eyed teen’s neck right beside him, “Right, Raph?”
Raph squealed loudly with laughter, not answering.
Well…not answering in word form, perhaps.
The Father rolled his eyes fondly at his son's, looking away from the rearview mirror and focusing back on the road.
“See!? He agrees.” The youngest beamed, “We’re perfectly fine and dandy, Dadio.”
“'Fine and dandy?'” Donnie repeated in amusement, causing the orange banded teen to almost laugh as loudly as Raph currently was.
Key word: Almost.
“Fine and dandy.” Michelangelo confirmed, kneading his hot-headed brother’s hips and sides as the taller leaped like a drunk frog, “STAHAHOP!! HIC LEHEHET HIC HIC GOHOHOH!!!”
“People are gonna think we’re beating you up or something by the way you’re squirming, bud.” The purple banded turtle joked, letting go of the taller teenager as the smaller teenager spidered his fingers all over his tummy.
“MIHIHIHIKEY!!!” The older wailed, pushing the other’s hands away as they slowly but surely stopped.
The two youngest’s giggled, fist bumping each other for successfully turning Raph’s frown upside down.
Splinter drove into the O’Neil’s driveway as Leo walked out of the front door to the apartment, waving his goodbyes to April as he got into the car.
The eldest sat in the front seat, buckling up as their Dad drove to their home.
The blue banded teenager let out a small snort, looking towards the back to see his immediate younger brother’s face the exact same shade as his own bandana, “Jeeheez..whahat dihid I miss?”
“I daha— hic don’t wanna tahalk ahabohout it…” Raph grumbled, his beet red blush deepening on his face as Donnie and Mikey snickered slightly, giving each other one last fist bump of victory.

Alright. Hear Mikey out on this one, okay? Because in all honesty, this was originally a fire plan. A lit plan. Some might say that the fire from the plan was sooooo hot it was practically blazing due to the fact of how awesome it was.
…okay. Well perhaps maybe people don’t say that exact term but they definitely should!
Anyways, it started off as a pretty chill day for the orange banded teen. I mean, it was Summer for crying out loud! These next few months were supposed to be absolutely nothing but pure chillness.
If your Summer isn’t even a bit chill in the slightest, then you’re doing something totally wrong.
Daylight savings was over, school was over and most importantly…homework was over! (Besides the fact that Mikey and his brother’s are forced to do dumb reading reports over the break because the school system dumb)…But other than that, Michelangelo was basically free! Free as a bird.
And so, like any sane studious kid that has been in High school for about a year…Mikey has been doing something he hasn’t done in a while since school started…
…Absolutely nothing.
He’s been spending the past week or two playing Roblox on his IPad while eating Doritos mixed with Skittles.
Look, don’t even judge until you try, it’s actually pretty good!
But anyways, as Mikey was playing Flee the Facility, he randomly came to terms with the fact that he needed to steal some of his brother’s clothes for today…
Random thought, I know.
The youngest has (and always will) politely take his brother’s clothes during the Summer— preferably hoodies and/or shirts. It’s basically a forced hand-me-down/Yard sale the youngest turtle always looks forward to. And today marked the 29th of June— 8 days from June 22nd.
And if you’re unfamiliar, the 22nd of June marked the official end of Spring and official start of Summer! So the smallest turtle’s annual raid of his elder brother’s clothes was loooooong overdue.
Last Summer, Mikey took Raph’s Detroit Become Human t-shirt, his WWE shirt, one of his polos and one of his The Walking Dead t-shirts (Raph had a TON).
And the Summer before that, Mikey took Leo’s Squidward hoodie. And…yeah. That was basically it— the eldest was a pretty bland guy and there was really nothing worth taking from his wardrobe.
So if you did your Math correctly, you would realize that this year it was Donnie’s turn. And so that’s what the youngest of the turtle teens was planning…
How the absolute hell could he take some of his immediate older brother’s clothes without taking ALL of them?
Because believe it or not, the nerdy turtle of the group had a pretty good fashion taste and sense. His style was simple but not too bland or standout-ish. Donnie’s style was just a simple array of sweatshirts— a piece of clothing the smallest turtle could never EVER have too much of.
But the tech-y turtle of the family definitely did. Just looking at his side of the shared bedroom, you could see sweatshirts and hoodies galore just scattered everywhere.
The orange banded mutant looked through the sweatshirts and hoodies, trying to figure out which one he should now claim as his own.
A Sailor Moon hoodie? Too bright.
An MHA sweatshirt? Too basic.
An Attack on Titan hoodie? Too edgy.
The youngest sighed in frustration, digging through his brother’s mountain of clothes before settling on a nice black hoodie with Gojo Satoru on it.
…what? Gojo Satoru was cool! Even though the orange banded turtle had only seen him in TikTok edits…those edit’s were pretty fire.
Just like his plan of taking his brother’s anime merch because he simply just could.
The orange banded teen looked at himself in the mirror right next to Donnie’s tent, humming the popular yet overused tune that Gojo is associated with to himself, trying (and failing) to do the popular dance.
“Ugh…how did Donnie do it again…?” The chocolate eyed teen inquired, attempting to do the dance one last time before lightly falling on his shell; the other sweatshirts and hoodies breaking his fall.
“Dude…” A voice giggled behind him.
Mikey’s eyes widened at the sudden but familiar voice, glancing upwards to lock eyes with the one and only Donatello, peering down at him and smirking.
“DONNIE!” Mikey shouted in surprise, getting up and whirling around so that he faced his immediate older brother as he tried to look as casual as possible, “Donatello! Dee! Don-bon…what’s…up…?” The youngest grimaced, sending awkward finger-guns as the hood to the hoodie fell down, completely covering his eyes due to how big it was on him.
The elder snickered, putting a hand over his mouth as he tried to stifle them a little. “Oh shut up…” Mikey huffed, taking the hood off as the other turtle chuckled in amusement again, going to his younger brother and standing right next to him.
“My sweatshirt literally engulfs you.” The turtle that wielded glasses chuckled soflty which only caused the youngest to roll his eyes annoyed at the entire situation. “Shut. Up.” He pouted, crossing his arms as he glared at his older brother, “It looks good on me!”
“It swallows you…” The other said back.
“I’LL SWALLOW YOU!” Mikey retorted, turning away from his brother angrily.
The purple loving teen sighed fondly and laughed slightly at the automatic retort, raising a teasing brow at his younger brother, “Are you attempting at trying to look like me~?”
The orange banded turtle blushed profusely, glaring at the other turtle’s question, “HELL NO.”
“Thehen why do you hahave the hoodie I wear literally everywhere? You know damn well Gojo is my go-to anime character of all time.”
Michelangelo grumbled, looking to the side of him as he swayed his arms at his sides. Okay…well, perhaps out of context it did seem like he was trying to look like Donnie. But he wasn’t. He wasn’t.
The only reason why the youngest “steals” clothes from his brother’s is because…well, he can and it’s easy. And it’s just…sorta comforting in a way. Not the stealing part…but…
Look— it’s dumb and confusing don’t think about it too much.
The elder teen huffed out a small laugh, “Why did you choose my Gojo Satoru hoodie of all things, though?”
“…I keep seeing him on TikTok and he’s the only anime character that hasn’t made me cry out of cringe in a way...”
“Ooookay. Good for you, bud.” Donnie nodded, putting his hand out “Now give it here. Me and the TMLBANOT21stC are meeting later today to have a JJK meeting.”
The chocolate eyed turtle blinked, “Your going to…what…?”
“My club stands for The Most Logical, Big-minded, Anime Nerds of the 21st century. Duh.” The honey brown eyed mutant said sassily, “Now give me back my hoodie or I’ll be late!”
Mikey blinked once more, a small cheeky smile plastering on his face, “And what if I don’t want to?”
“Michaelangelo—“
And with that, the smallest turtle ran out of the shared room, moving his legs as fast as he could that the other in the room just saw an orange and green blur sprint past him.
“MIKEY!!!” Donnie howled angrily, running out of the room to catch up with him. The second youngest bumped in between the two eldest turtles, quickly apologizing to them as he ran after the youngest.
The leader in blue scratched his head confused, “Should we…?”
“Nah.” Raph commented.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Donnie was internally groaning. If he couldn’t get his hoodie back from his brother in the next 10 minutes he would be late to his own club.
Imagine that.
…Exactly! You can’t.
The second youngest looked around the living room, trying to figure out just where his little brother was. In the last couple of years, the honey brown teen didn’t really mind the youngest taking some of his clothes (even if Donnie would’ve preferred him just normally asking).
But Donnie needed this hoodie. More than anything and one way or another he would get it.
Suddenly…an idea popped into the geniuses brain, smirking widely as he leaned on the wall. He closed the door without stepping outside of the kitchen, still in the room to make it seem like he left. The youngest peeked from behind the couch, him and his brother making immediate eye contact.
Ha. Got em.
The anime loving turtle basically lunged at the smaller turtle, sitting on top of him as the other tried to squirm away. “I GOT YOU, YOU LITTLE TURD!” The purple cladded teen smirked triumphantly, crossing his arms and watching amusedly as his little brother tried to escape.
“Just give me back my hoodie, man. You’re making it seem like I’m asking you for your liver.”
“YOU DID ONCE!!!”
“That was for a Bio experiment.” The elder corrected almost immediately, “But that’s not the point just— UGH! Give me my dang hoodie!!!”
“NO!!!”
The purple banded turtle glared, uncrossing his arms as he wiggled his fingers in the air, “Wanna do this the hard way? Because we can do the hard way, little brother…”
The brown eyed mutant paled, shaking his head back and forth at the question. Well…this didn’t go exactly as planned.
Donnie just scoffed, his hands immediately going for the other’s underarms but Mikey put his arms down, sputtery giggles escaping his mouth as he did so. “P-Plehease! Deehee!”
“Don’t 'plehease Deehee' me! Give back me back my JJK hoodie!”
“BuHUT—“
The elder turtle lost his patience, effortlessly raising the other’s arms as he scribbled his free hand’s fingers all over his underarms. The smallest turtle squawked, falling into loud giggles. He kicked his legs underneath his older brother, “DOHOHON— NOHO!”
“Someone is sensitive here!” Donnie mused.
“STAHAP— I AHAM NAHAT!!”
“You’re not? Not what~? Ticklish~?” The anime loving turtle asked, his smiled widening as he saw how flustered his baby brother was getting. “STAHA— STAHA-! DEEHEE!” Mikey shrieked, “NOHO TEEHEEASING!”
The glasses wielding teen gasped dramatically, “No teasing? You take my hoodie and now you’re telling me what to do?”
“NONONONO WAH— *squeal* WAHAHAIT!!!”
The tech whiz wasted no time prodding his thumbs on the youngest hips. The brown eyed teen squealed loudly, hugging his middles and just not even trying to stop Donnie’s hands at this point.
The last time he attempted to, his immediate older brother spent the next half an hour scribbling the orange banded teen’s palms…
That was hell in itself and Mikey was not trying to relive that again if he could help it.
“Awe…does this tiiiickle? Is this tickling you~? Maybe that’s cuz you’re reeeaally ticklish here…”
“IHI— *squeal* QUIHIHIET!” Michelangelo demanded loudly.
Donnie smiled at the weak retort, kneading the other’s hips harder, “What happened to all that smugness, hm? Where’d it all go, little guy~? Do I have you in a giggly puddle because your tickle tickle ticklish and I’m tickle tickle tickling you~?”
“STAHAHAP *squeal* SAHAHAYING *squeal* THAHAT, AHAHASHOLE!!!”
“Stop saying what~? Tickle? Ticklish—?”
The orange banded teen squealed loudly once more, accidentally cutting his brother off with his teasing. The glasses wielding teen couldn’t help but laugh softly at it, “Awe…look at my baby brother…” Donnie cooed.
“NAHAHAHA!” The youngest threw his head back in loud laughter as Donnie now tickled the sides of his shell. Mikey arched his back, trying to buck his older brother off of him but Donnie held on easily, continuing to tickle him.
“PLEHEASE! PLEHEHEASE!!!”
“'Plehease'? Please what~?”
“JUHUST *squeal* NAHAT *hic* THE SHEHELL!” Mikey despretley cried, turning to his side as other small hiccups followed as the end of the hoodie went up a bit, revealing some of his plastron.
The honey brown eyed turtle giggled at the perfectly played out action, “Oh…would you look at that~!” He mused, “Last chance to give me back my hoodie, bro.”
The smaller turtle’s eyes widened in realization, looking up at his brother from the corner of his eye, “Yohou *hic* wohohoudn’t…!”
“Oho wouldn’t I~?” Donnie grinned, gently holding Mikey’s waist and blowing multiple upon multiple raspberries on his stomach whilst scribbling his nails on his sides. “DAHAH— *squeal* DAHANNIE!” Mikey cried.
“Jeez…your mega ticklish here, huh?”
“SHUHUT— GEHET— PLEHEHEASE!!!” The brown eyed teen rambled through his laughs, shaking his head.
“Why— would— I???” The tech whiz mocked playfully, now blowing raspberries on his little brother’s neck and scribbling his fingers all over his stomach. “NAHAHAT THEHERE!! BROHOHO COHOME OHAHAN!!” The youngest squealed and squeaked.
Donatello smirked, ceasing his 100% justified attack for a second, “You saying 'nahahat thehere' is genuinely so funny, Mikes. Like, I was going to tickle you here regardless but, hey! Thanks for confirming how badly it tickles for you.”
He resumed his tickling onslaught on his younger brother, the younger brother in question basically falling limp due to how hard he was laughing. The only body parts that were really fighting for his life right now were his legs, that still did not cease desperately kicking the floor.
The purple banded turtle now started lightly giving ticklish nibbles on his younger brother’s neck as his light scribbles on the smaller turtle’s sides became quick and fast squeezes. “Om nom nom! Hm…you taste like…giggles! And ticklishness~! My favorite food combo!” The elder teased.
“DEEHEE DEEHEEHEE?! WHAT DOHOES THAHAT EHEHEVEN MEEHEEAN?!?!” Mikey cried desperately, his voice sounding like a tea kettle brewing because of how squeaky and high pitched it was.
“Awe…you haven’t used that nickname for me in ages~! It must tickle that bad, huh?” The glasses wielding turtle cooed.
“IHI *hic* CAHAN’T!”
“You can’t~? Can’t what~?”
“IHIT— *hic* NAHAHAH!” Mikey silently wheezed, throwing his head back as he shut his eyes tight. “Is someone giving me the silent treatment?” Donnie snickered, “Pfft— get it? Cuz you’re laughing silently~? Eh? Eh?”
Okay, even if Mikey was the comedian of the family, he would’ve admitted that was a pretty solid joke if he wasn’t getting slaughtered right now. “FIHINE FIHINE *hic* HAHAVE *hic* IHIHIT BAHACK!!! TAHAKE IHIHIT!! PLEHEASE *hic* JUHUST STAHAHAP *squeal* I’M GOHONNA *squeal* DIHIHIE!!!”
“That would be kiiiiiiiinda funny making your grave honestly.” The tech loving teen smugly said, “Michelangelo Hamato. Reason of death? Being too freaking ticklish.”
“DEEHEEHEE!!!” The youngest cried. Donnie stopped, getting up and laying next to his brother, wrapping him in a side hug which the smaller turtle immediately melted to. “May I plehease hahave my hoodie back?”
“Ihi juhust sahaid yehehehes!” The orange banded teen groaned, literally throwing the hoodie at his immediate older brother. The anime loving teen smiled, putting on the hoodie as he grinned in triumph. “For real real. I feel like new...” He said to himself proudly.
And if the youngest knew his brother (which he did), that was probably a quote that that Gojo fellow has said.
“Oh! And by the way, little bro. My club doesn’t have a meet up today. It’s tomorrow.” Donnie snickered, walking away and leaving Mikey left in complete and utter awe.
That freaking asshole.
Okay, well now Mikey’s definitely taking that MHA hoodie next year.

“Okay…I am so. freaking. lost.” Leo grumbled, putting his cheek on his palm as April sighed dramatically. “I’m gonna explain it to you one more time, Nardo. And if you still don’t get it so help me.” April grabbed the empty shoebox she had in front of her, putting it in between her and the other teen.
“We are doing a biome project for Bio class. And since you wanted to be special and different you decided to choose the hardest one to do: a Tundra.” April said as she raised a brow.
“Sounds like me.” The mutant in blue chuckled.
The girl with glasses shook her head fondly, “And so, we need to replicate a Tundra biome using a shoebox and just explain what we know about the biome.”
The slightly taller teen titled his head to the side, squinting his eyes at his best friend, “…That’s it?”
“What do you mean that’s it?!” The yellow cladded girl basically squawked, “Do I look like someone who know’s a lot about snow?”
The turtle giggled in amusement, crossing his arms playfully, “We live in Manhattan, Pril. We get, like, 20 to 30 inches of snow most of the time…”
“Just because we get a shit ton of snow every season does not mean I know a lot about it.”
Leonardo grinned at his friend’s funny comment, going into his backpack and pulling out a bunch of written on notecards. “Then it’s a good thing I wrote down facts about the Tundra when Mr. Fredrickson was going over the different biomes in depth in class.”
April’s eyes widened in both shock and respect, going over to look at the notecards Leo wrote on, “You actually listened when he was doing that?! I fell asleep when he got to the rainforest biome…”
“Prillie…that was literally the first one he went over…”
“My point still stands.” She shrugged, looking at the notecards in awe. “Dude…you wrote down everything. You have the definition, what animals live there, fun facts and a whole bunch of other stuff!”
“You even wrote down the different plants and regions that are inside of the biome.” She said in surprise, giving Leo back his notecards, “Oh my god I love you so fucking much. We are going to ace this project.” The human girl said as she went back to the empty shoebox.
The mutant’s eyes widened at her comment, a small blush appearing on his face as he cleared his throat to try and recollect himself, “Y-Yeah u-um I-I love you too…”
“What?” April said genuinely, not hearing what the other said.
“What?” Leo replied.
The girl raised a suspicious brow, “You mumbled something, you weirdo.”
“Me? What? N-No I was j-just…talking to myself!” Leonardo explained, his blush deepening as he fiddled with his fingers, looking absolutely anywhere but the person in front of him.
April huffed out a laugh, getting her art kit from her desk that was next to her bed, “Whatever you say, you dork.” She chuckled out, sitting on her carpet as she suddenly spray painted the inside of the cardboard box white.
The turtle mutant covered his mouth, “Don’t you think it would’ve been better if you did that…outside?”
The girl in glasses pursed her lips together, stopping and nodding slowly, “Yeah…I should’ve. My bad. But…I kinda already started.” She said as she continued to spray paint the box. Leo rolled his eyes, opening the other teen’s door as he started to spray Frebreze everywhere. “Leo…what are you doing?” April asked.
The turtle raised a brow at his friend, “What does it look like? I’m airing out the spray paint smell.”
April covered her mouth, fanning out the air with her hand as she walked to Leo, “You legit just put the Frebreze scent over the spray paint scent. Now it’s just mixed together.”
Leonardo groaned internally, nodding his head as the slightly smaller teen explained how dumb his logic was. As the mutant in blue tuned his friend out, he looked out her window to look at her balcony…but his heart dropped in shock (and a tad bit in confusion) as he saw his little brother’s just chilling on the small balcony.
“Nardo…are you okay?” The girl in glasses asked worriedly. “YEP! I-I’m fine! Perfectly perfect.” He grinned wobbily, grabbing the now fully dry white shoebox and giving it to the other, lightly pushing her out of the room, “I’ll just fan out everything here. You can go chill in your living room.”
April huffed out a small laugh, “We’re New Yorkers, Leo…we’ve smelled worse.”
“Y-Yeah, I know! Trust…I know. It’ll be quick, I promise.” He said as calmly as he could muster at the moment. The girl just fondly rolled her eyes, going over to the living room, “Don’t take too long, though! I need your help with finding a good show to watch as I finish the biome replica!” She shouted.
“I’ll be right there!” He shouted back as he turned on her ceiling fan. He basically stomped to the balcony, closing the door as he glared at his younger brothers, “What the FUCK are you guys doing here?!” Leonardo screamed.
Donnie raised a brow as he leaned on the railway, “What ever do you mean?”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT DO I MEAN?!” The leader in blue shouted, “H-How did you guys even get here in the first place?! Me and April rode her scooter to her apartment!!!”
“We’re ninjas, bro. I think you always forget that.” Mikey chuckled and only chuckled harder at the eldest’s pissed off face.
Raph went over to his immediate older brother, slinging a hand over his shoulder, “So~! How’s the date going~?”
“IT’S NOT A DATE!!!” Leo screeched before facepalming, “How long have you guys even been here, anyway?!”
“Not long.” Mikey shrugged, “It was kindaaaaa hard having to climb up the building…”
“Whatever…” The blue banded teen grumbled as he turned away, “Just go home and don’t tell Dad about any of this...”
“Why~?” Donnie asked teasingly, “I personally think Dad’ll be happy that his rizz is finally shining in you.”
“Donatello.” Leonardo glared.
“Fine! Fine! We’re going!” Donatello said as he took off the backpack he had on, taking out color-coded grappling hooks and giving them to Raph and Mikey. “Also, since April mentioned wanting to watch something with you, you guys should watch Smiling Friends. The rest of season two dropped.” The purple banded turtle explained. But before the eldest turtle could give his brother’s a piece of his mind, they were just…gone.
Talk about being ninja’s…
“Jiminy mother loving toaster strudel…” Leo grumbled to himself.

“Smiling Friends?! I didn’t know the rest of season two dropped!” April gasped as Leo walked into the living room talking about the show.
The hazel eyed mutant rubbed the back of his head awkwardly, “Uh…yeah. I just looked online for stuff to watch and, um…yeah…”
April snickered at the awkward demeanor of the other teen; not really and truly questioning it due to the fact Leo was just an awkward person 24/7. The blue banded mutant sat next to his friend, fiddling with his fingers as Smiling Friends played on the TV.
“Hey, Nardo? I wanted to say sorry about the whole spraying-spray-paint-and-literally-almost-intoxicating-you thing. I just wasn’t really thinking about it making more sense for me to spray it outside.” The girl explained solemnly.
The younger teen snorted, “Prillie…it’s fine. It’s not like you killed me or anything like that. I think you should worry about your Mom coming home to the smell and killing you, though.”
“OH SHIT!” The elder teen shouted, going to her room to spray Frebreze and spray some in the living room as well. The girl with glasses sat down before sighing, leaning back, “Oh! And btdubs, I finished the Tundra replica.” She said as she finished the last final touches on the piece before handing it to the other teen.
And to Leo’s surprise…the replica actually looked pretty good. Like…really really good. The inside of the shoebox honestly looked like a mini Tundra…and it even had little mini clay plants and animals.
“You seriously just made this?! April, I wasn’t even gone for ten minutes!” Leonardo said in awe.
“You, my dear friend, underestimate my artistic skills.” The brown eyed teen said as she continued to watch the television.
Now…Leo wasn’t known for getting into…moods often.
I mean, in all honesty he would just get tickle attacked by his brothers 24/7…so in a weird way, he kind of got used to it.
But ever since he and Raph went on that call with April a couple weeks ago…she hasn’t mentioned said call. At all.
And perhaps maybe she forgot! Maybe she forgot the legit most embarrassing moment of Leo’s life…
…so why the absolute hell did Leo want her to mention it? Or at least acknowledge it!
I mean…Raph even dropped the bomb that Leo liked it! That was a clear opportunity right there!!!
But in order for one to be actually tickled…one must ask for it first. And there was no fucking wayLeonardo was going to do that.
“You want me to tickle you, don’t you?” April said casually as she looked at the other teasingly.
The mutant’s eyes widened in shock, his face becoming a glowing hot red as he absolutely refused to make eye contact with the other teen. “A-April whahat—?”
“Dude…don’t even try to deny it. You’ve made it so painfully obvious.” She giggled softly as the other’s face burned in embarrassment.
Was he seriously that easy to read?!
“Should I take your silence as a 'yes'?” The human girl smiled as the blue banded mutant shyly nodded, still refusing to look at his best friend. “Okay, Nardo…just tell me when you want me to stop…okay?” She said carefully as she gently reached for the other’s side but stopped when the young leader held her wrists.
“W-Wahait!!! Wahait wahahait A-Ahapril wahait!!!” Leonardo panicky giggled as he blushed more (if even possible). The girl stopped, resting her hands in her lap. The slightly taller teen covered his face with his hands, giggling in anticipation before nodding slightly.
The yellow cladded teen awed at the sight, scribbling her nails against the other’s sides. The mutant pursed his lips together, kicking his legs on the ground. The girl with glasses chuckled at the action as a lightbulb went off in her head, “Wait a sec, Nardo. Do you remember the FaceTime call me, you and Raph went on?”
“N-Noho shihihit…”
“I do believe on said FaceTime call, Raph mentioned you being more ticklish to squeezes than to scribbles…is that correct?” She asked teasingly, although she knew damn well what the answer was already.
The blue banded mutant’s giggles raised an octave as he now started to squirm as his friend squeezed his sides…
…Now this could go one of two ways…
He could absolutely make a complete fool out of himself or he makes a complete fool out of himself. Either or.
“A-AHAhapril!” The turtle squeaked out.
“Yes, Leo?” The human replied casually.
“PleHA— *snort* p-pleheHEASE!!!”
“Plehease whahat~?”
“I-IHI *snort* duhunno!!” Leo squealed, now hugging his middles as he continued to laugh. The slightly smaller teen wrapped him in a hug with one arm, using her other arm to pull out her phone. She went to her camera roll and scrolled until she found a screen recording…
…A specific screen recording…
…The screen recording April screen recorded while they were on that FaceTime call.
Leo hid in his shell a bit, his laugh echoing in said shell but he did not care in the slightest at this point. The teen girl raised a brow at the action, holding the other’s hand in her’s as she used her other hand to squeeze his hip mercilessly.
Leonardo squawked in surprise as a loud (totally not expected) snort followed. He hid in his shell even deeper as he full on laughed and laughed. “Woah wohoah! Why are you hiding your face from me~?”
“I-IHI’M NAHAT!!”
“Yohou sure? 'Cuz it kinda looks like you are…”
“IHI’M *snort* NAHAT I-IHI SWAHA— *snort* SWEAR!”
The girl with glasses laughed in amusement, “Raph was right…you really are a liar, huh Gigglenardo~?”
Leo snorted loudly at the girl’s tease, his laughs becoming more louder and more frantic. And the worst part is she barely even touched the surface of his ticklishness…
The girl wrapped the taller teen into an even tighter hug, using her free hand to scribble her fingers all over his stomach. The taller teen screeched, slumping in her hold as he 'tried' to escape her tickling wrath.
April played the screen recording (on mute of course…she wasn’t that mean), wanting to test something the tallest turtle did that got a good hell of a reaction from the leader in blue. “Nardo…just a quick question…does this happen to tickle by any chance~?”
“S-STAHAHAP! DAHA— *snort *snort* DOHON’T STAHART!!”
“What’s wrong~? I’m just asking if this tickles, Gigglenardo.” She said as she gently squeezed his stomach with one hand, causing the other to squirm despreatley in the hug. “It seems like it does~! Tickle tickle~! Kitchie kitchie coo~!”
“NOHO— *snort* *snort* PLEHEASE DAHA— *snort* DOHOHON’T!!!” The brown eyed turtle screamed before April randomly stopped so the mutant was able to catch his breath for at least a little bit. “Nerdo~! Do you mind getting out of your shell for me, please~?”
Leonardo snorted loudly for probably the umpteenth time today, “NOHO— *snort* *snort* WHYHYHY?!”
“Just 'cuz~! I wanna try something.” She said as Leo poked his head out from his shell. The two made eye contact with one another— Leo glared at her while she innocently smiled back as she tickled the crook of his neck.
“PFFT— *snort* *snort* *snort* NAHAHA IHIT’S SAHA— *snort* *snort* SOHO BAHA— *snort* *snort* BAHAHAD!!!”
“Reheally?” The brown eyed teen mused, “I personally think you’re trying to say it tickles~! It tickletickletickletickles~!” She giggled as she tickled both sides of the turtle teen’s neck with one hand, leaving him in stitches. “KSSTAHA— *snort* *snort* *snort* NAHAHA *snort* *snort* *snort* *snort* *snort*!!!”
The girl in glasses slowly stopped her tickle attack, hugging him from behind as he caught his breath. “Ohon the FahaceTime call, I rehecall Rahaph saying you snort fihive tihimes if it’s a good dahay~!” She teased lightly as Leo just groaned in response.
“Whahatever…” Leonardo grumbled as the girl with glasses got up to get him a cup of water from the kitchen. She handed it to him, which he gladly accepted.
And that…wasn’t as bad nor scary as Leo initially thought it was going to be.
The hazel eyed mutant fiddled with the now empty cup, “Uhm…thahank you for the wahater…ahand..uh, y-y'know…” He trailed off, looking at the ground in embarrassment as the other smiled fondly, “It’s no problem, Leo.” She chuckled, “There’s really no need to be so embarrassed about it. I get it.”
“I-I know that but— wait. What do you mean you get—“ But the slightly taller teen was cut off by April’s doorbell going off. The two paused, not expecting any visitors besides April’s mom— who was supposed to come later and also had the key to the apartment.
So…she wouldn’t need to ring the doorbell.
The doorbell rang again as Leo got up and simply stepped forward, opening the door slowly but sighing loudly as he saw who was on the other side.
It was his brother’s. Because of course it was.
“So~! How’d the date go~?” Mikey grinned plqyfully.
“It went fine— wait what?! For the last time it— this— is NOT a date!!!” Leonardo glared.
“So in Leo language…I’m assuming that means it went well.” Donnie chuckled, “Happy for you, bro.” The purple banded turtle said almost genuinely as April walked to the open door next to Leo. “Whahat are you guys doing here? And…how did you get here?”
“Well, I got bored and hungry so I ordered pizza. We decided to come over here so you two could eat with us.” Raphael explained.
“You got said money from my savings account?” Leo deadpanned.
“I got said money from your savings account.” Raph grinned, “Now let’s go! If we hurry we could catch the person delivering the pizza!” He shouted as the four teens ran down the fire escape. April grabbed her keys before closing (and of course locking) her apartment door, soon following her mutant friends.
