so they can prove that you're human first and foremost (given the sheer number of bots) and you're an adult therefore have money therefore are marketable, and f*ck the content creators that get flagged as age-restricted (bc f u, that's why) bc they won't even show up in searches just like country blocked videos so unless they have a following that are of age... yeah no views dead videos galore. Like I get it if it is about g0re, s3x, torture and dangerous sht like 5min crafts content farms that do not have a BIG visible 'dangerous - just a dramatization - don't do this at home' <_< (and don't get me started on the kid friendly looking videos that have a horrible story narrated over the crafts that encourage children to be in dangerous situations and make them trust strangers that offer them things/try to get them to follow them *shudder* - parents should monitor the f out of their children and teach them safety on the internet but good lord it creeps me out so much that there are MANY people, no monsters that will fully take advantage of the ones unlucky to have noone to teach them + irresponsible parents (...also why have kids you won't effing parent the f out of them -_-) but whatever I got off topic and rambly my apologies)

I tried it on the RE8 video I linked you, without even being logged in and it worked. I use Firefox, but it also works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Brave *fingers crossed it works for you*

So next time you'll only need to use a VPN if it's a country restriction :D

About the languages, Japanese and English are the ones I look at for ah cononicity(?) bc those are the main Capcomm uses for lip sync+mocap and the fact that they're a Japanese company and even between these 2 there are differences! not just in what characters say but some terms too (like Eng Muta/Megamycete being The Fungal Root/Fungus/Black God in Jpn)

This whole situation is a mess! Instead of parents trying to teach their children how to consume internet responsibly they try to turn the internet into a bubble-wrapped place for the younglings to roam free. Like. My family got our first computer when I was seven. Granted we had dial-up internet until I was like 12 so my exposure to it wasn't constant, but still, the worst thing I was exposed to was (written) adult jokes. Not the best but also not the worst, especially considering my parents had already given me some pretty decent sex ed at that point so even though I was more grossed out by them than intrigued (asexual, baby!) they weren't shocking or influnential. The computer was also in the living room so they could monitor everything I was watching at any given time, and when I did come across a game that was... a bit adult-y (like, the protagonist was meeting some NPCs that were asking him to go buy them drugs) I myself backed out from it because I knew it wasn't for me. Because my parents did a good job letting me know what's dangerous, online and offline.

And if the internet wants to monitor something for everyone... TikTok is the platform that needs that. Youtube, not so much. And again, it's parents who are responsible for what content their child consumes on the internet, not the uploaders themselves. A grown-ass person shouldn't be required to show their ID or credit card info to the internet just to be able to watch adult stuff because we want to protect "the younglings". Protect them by giving them proper sex ed, teaching them about the dangers of trusting strangers, and how not everything they see on the internet is true.

Because otherwise here I am, trying to vibe at 27 where I work and pay my own bills and rent, and yet I can't watch a gameplay for a horror game because gοοgle wants my credentials. To "protect" me. Fuck that.

Yeah, in regards to Japanese, there's even some cultural things that we have to take into consideration. Like, I've watched a bit, and there's a bit of difference between calling Miranda "Mother Miranda (English with Japanese accent)" and "Miranda-sama". I've been told that the -sama ending is something you'd give to someone you respect like a god. And I think Japanese Moreau refers to her as "Miranda-sama" and that adds to his character. Languages, man, they're so interesting!
