The beautiful musical discoveries of the month. I had the chance to see @imjcstewart and @foyvance before @snowpatrol last week and was so amazed by these two incredible talents. The second musical delivery - going to Lucy and James. They just got married and Sophie and I went to their awesome wedding in Cornwall a few months ago. 

We've gone for quite an eclectic mix. The Metallica is obvious in their to balance out the Norah Jones. 

First point - the Kelis album has one of my favourite pop songs on, Millionaire. This track always gets me dancing - with Milkshake and Trick Me on the album as well, they'll be dancing in their kitchen all night.

On the flip side the Norah Jones album is for dinners for two. Imagine how many candlelit evenings in the noughties had this album as their soundtrack? Millions. It came on in a bar I was drinking in in Berlin last year, and it was more nostalgic than I thought it would be. It's endured well over the years. 

The Good Will Hunting Soundtracking, is rather embarrassingly for me, my main route into Elliott Smith, so it has a special place in my heart. Any film that gets you into great music is worthwhile in my opinion (see Wes Anderson, the Cohen Brothers and Tarantino).

I'll post some more about the other albums throughout the week - even the X&Y album.

Ed Banger 10 Years

Le Label était de passage, hier soir, sur Bruxelles (Les Nuits Botanique 2013). Une première 1/2h entre 2 eaux... Puis un énorme chaud, bien rodé (de trop peut-être?^^). Grosse ambiance pour une bonne soirée! :)

Mention spéciale pour "Busy P" et son "Ed Banger Megamix". Quand DJ et VJ s'entre croise parfaitement :)

Merci à Breakbot et Irfane pour leur simplicité. J'ai eu l'occasion de parler un peu avec eux. Ils ne se prennent pas la tête et son accessible..

Il y a longtemps que je voulais réécouter ce titre mais plus moyen de retomber sur le nom du groupe...

"D-D-Don't Stop the Beat" est le nom du premier album sorti par "Junior Senior" en 2003. Ils sont surtout connu pour ce clip "Move Your Feet". Le groupe s'est séparé en 2008.

De la bonne pop qui met l'ambiance! :)
