Not gonna lie, this one took a while bc I encountered numerous problems while painting, like the colors cancelling(?) each other out, expired paper and badly colored hair highlights :') Made those flowers to glue them on her hair but then I decided it'd be the best to just put them there digitally. This way I could make a low effort gif! Yay :D (oh and also, her eyes should be brown but I only noticed this after finishing the picture x') ) Still image under the cut-

Forest Spirit Fairies ✨

Every spirit has their own companions, who help them in their task to protect the land they’re bound to. In Elowen’s case, they’re these sweet mushroom fairies. They live in communities in the depths of the forest, where no mortal dares to walk, and they tend to avoid them. They help Elowen with their tasks protecting and taking care of the forest.

In the lands where trees grow old and plenty, where the inhabitants swore, generations ago, to protect what protects them, they are knows as “Friends of the Forest”. In the old forgotten languages they were called Begii or Enuiik. Legends say their magic runs deep under grass and soil, between old roots or around them; or maybe within.

For Aspen, their purpose is clear, shown before him years ago. They’re mere helpers of the forest and only to the forest they answer. Through Elowen’s explanations he discovered that every spirit has their own “fairies”, although Elowen likes to call them friends.

Spirits are born with a task and every task needs help to be completed; it’s not in lonely hands that progress is achieved; for Elowen is the mother of the woods and the woods are them, but a forest is not composed of a single tree. With the help of their loyal mushrooms, they take care of it, keep it watched and keep it safe.

💜 Laeti: Young and reliable, he rarely tires and is fast at carrying information through the forest. His light never flickers (he/them)

🖤 Nuda: You never know what is going on under that hat, and for that it’s best to not trust her words, but her intentions are always good. Eno’s very tall girlfriend (she/her)

🩷 Eno: Elowen’s second hand and their best advisor and friend. Whatever The Spirit asks of him, he will do. Caring and truthful. Nuda’s little pathetic man (he/him)

🩵 Bb: Still too young, she is not versed in the arts and customs of her people and maybe she spent too much time among mortals. She likes to be held or she’ll cry and she loves to cuddle with Aspen (she/her)
