The fall was softened thanks to Inko's overall doughiness, but - Toga hadn't been quite so lucky. As the mom came to her senses, her belly had surged out of her shirt - but before she could try covering it back up again, thinking it had just come loose, a flurry of squirming started shaking it!

"Ah-! O-oh my... hold still, dear! I'll get you of there soon-!"

The thing about Himiko's story is sure we can talk about how her Quirk could have been suited to heroics or the medical field- But like. That's not the point.

Himiko did not need to be useful to society or use her Quirk for others to be saved and loved. Your worth and potential as an individual is not defined by whether you can be "useful".

Even if there was NO "Heroic" side to Toga's Quirk it wouldn't change her story nor the point of it.

Ochako would have still reached out to the cute girl with a lovely smile who was hurt a world that never tried to understand her.

I really want to forward House of Ghosts, but I'm badly stuck with how to introduce Toga in it, given the timing of the story means she's only around 10-11. My brain's just....struggling to come up with anything reasonable/interesting enough for me to do here. And I NEED her in the story due to later stuff I got planned.

After such an exhausting night with little rest and a morning full of planning and moving around, your body was desperate for sleep. Once you packed away your clothes and amenities, you wasted no time making a bee-line to the bed and jumping in. You rolled yourself up in the motel’s surprisingly nice sheets and passed out before you even realized it. 

You didn’t realize how deep asleep you were until you heard knocking at your door and laboriously opened your eyes to discover that it was already almost dark outside. “Ughh…” you groaned as you sat up and wiped drool from your mouth with your sleeve. There was another knock at the door, prompting you to get up more quickly. You groaned again in frustration as you shambled to the door and cracked it open. “Hemlo?” you mumbled?

“Y/N, DO YOU WANT WAFFLES?!” A shout sent you flying backwards into the room.

“WhA?!”

“Toga-chan!-- We’re so sorry, we had no idea you were asleep-- why are you awake so late?!” You heard Jin’s voice, which pulled you back to lucidity.

You rubbed your eyes and your vision came into focus. Jin and Toga both stood in your doorway, with him looking very apologetic, and her bubbly and excited. “I got a little sleepy when I unpacked everything…I had no idea I’d be out for this long.” You got up and brushed yourself off. “Now that I’m woke up--” you heard Toga giggle before you continued “--I could go for some breakfast for dinner.” The party cheered in victory. 

You didn’t have much time to fix yourself up before you were pulled along for the ride and taken to a nice little diner a block away. You felt slightly dizzy from waking from a sound sleep, but as you walked down the sidewalk, you peered up at the sky; the last remnants of sunset looked so beautiful, like splashes of red and deep orange ink painted against dark clouds and a slowly darkening sky. The street lights flickered on and bathed the path to your destination with a warm glow. Sleep sounded so good, but you were grateful to be invited to hang out with friends for dinner and be able to take in the lovely environment. You felt blissful.

Jin, on the other hand, was rife with nervousness. Again, he managed to keep his composure, but with you around, he was afraid that he would at some point lose his facade. Especially after the wreck of a practice date that morning. Only Toga managed to pick up on this, and she hoped that this dinner date among friends would help mellow him out. 

You all grabbed a booth at the diner, and you and Toga slid into a seat together, with Jin sitting across the table. “Oh! Maybe I’ll get chocolate chip waffles. Or strawberry? Blueberry? I think that’s the type that Izuku likes…” Toga mused.

You each placed your orders and listened to Toga rave about some of the UA students she loved so dearly. You began to envision the thought of Jin so passionately talking about you like that, or vice versa, and there was that funny feeling in your heart again. 

Maybe this could be the night I ask him out? I can wait until after we eat, then when we get back to the motel, I ask him there! 

“It’s cool that you’ve found some people like that-- it’s kind of annoying that they’re UA students, though. But you can’t help who you like!” said Jin.

You nodded. “I hope things will work out between you and them. They don’t seem like bad kids.”

“You don’t seem so bad either,” Jin pointed and flashed a smug smile at you.

Kill me now! 

“Aw, thanks!”

Does he genuinely mean that, or is that just another personality talking? I hope he doesn’t think he’s leading me on, or anything, then feel bad if I ask him out. You began overthinking. 

A part of Jin was beginning to crack. With all the stress and being without his mask, he was terrified that this would lead to splitting apart. He started to look pale.

Shit, my mask! I don’t have it with me!

Not that he could wear it in public without getting into trouble, but it would have been comforting to at least know he had it on him.

“Are you okay, Jin-kun?” Toga asked.

“Y-yeah! You know, I think I gotta go use the bathroom. If the food comes while I’m gone, don’t wait for me!” he said, and left the table.

You and Toga exchanged looks once he left, and didn’t exactly know how to approach the subject. “Do you think he’s alright?” you worried. 

Toga thought for a minute, then looked in shock. “I don’t think he has his mask! He might be in trouble and splitting.”

“Shit, should we go and get it? Or just wait for him since food is on its way?”

“I’ll tell you what, I’ll watch over our table, and you can go get the mask!” 

“Will you be alright sitting all by yourself in a diner?” you questioned. 

Toga opened her cardigan to show you that she had plenty of knives on her person. She gave a wicked smile and nodded. “I would like to get a little bit of blood tonight, but I’ll make sure everything will be fine until you come back and Jin gets better!”

“Understood,” you gave a thumbs up and hurried out of the diner.

I gotta get out of here as fast as I can! I need to make sure I get back here in time before Jin breaks down.
