All the stars fade out of focus under his remarkable influence. He was as mysterious as the galaxies, realms existing far beyond her reach. Iris knew then, what her heart had seemed to harbor for ages-- she loved him. Loved him most ardently, more than life itself. The sensation is vexing and enthralling at the same time.

Iris's next inhale still tastes of him, of something greater than freedom. Intoxicated her eyes meet his just as the scant space is closed between them. Abandoning her warm tea, her greedy fingers collapse into the fabric of his shirt. She can't hold him close enough to satisfy----

Her arms coil about his neck, deeping the gesture. Funny, how she never gave credence to romance movies. She always considered them absurd. There are no fairy tales' in REAL life.

This kiss however converts that sentiment in a palpable fashion. A collision of heat singes Iris's cheekbones, coloring them a scarlet hue. "J---Jonas," she murmurs --- the weight of his name falling different as it is ghosted upon the brim of his lips. "I-- I don't ever want to know a life without you." There isn't another soul on this planet who meant nearly as much to her as he did. "Don't----" Her voice chokes with emotion, "don't ever leave me...." She entreats. She can't bear the brunt of another loss. Not if it meant being parted from him. "Will you--- will you come with me? Wherever I go? No matter the time or place?" The invitation is not extended lightly.

There's something quite numbing about his initial response. "In--instructed?" Iris skeptically parrots. The frigid air seeped it's wicked tendrils right into the marrow of her bones, causing her to shiver vehemently. The more Jonas reveals, the more her head spins. It whirls dizzingly, faster and faster, until tangible thoughts are swept up in a tornado like field. Overwhelmed, Iris pants trying to usher all the panic from her form.

The implication is hideous. Betrayal warp's her countenance as she studies him. His working for Rittenhouse without knowing who they were twists violent knots in her intestines. Her emotions blur together. Anger. Regret. Hurt. Betrayal. With her jaw clenched tighter than it had ever been, she determines to gift him the benefit of the doubt. Jonas clearly wasn't enjoying this any more than she was----

"Y--- you could have killed me for them. For Rittenhouse, but --- but you didn't. W---why? I --- I would have never seen it coming." There's a massive gamble she's taking right now. She knows this as she kneels down beside him. "What -- what did they offer? Was it -- was it money? Were you --- you supposed to just hand me over to them?" She had a trillion questions battering her tired brain. But only two seemed to matter. Why hadn't he handed her over? Was he taking her somewhere so that he could? "Why did you agree to find me?"

Her hand violently trembles even as it reaches out to tenderly cup his jaw. "Jonas---" Her lips move with the desire to say more. "Are-- are they going to harm you because --- of me?" He may be in just as much danger as she was now. If not more, she realizes with a sharp swallow. Rittenhouse did not take kindly to being slighted. "Do-- do you promise, from now on, to tell me the truth?" Iris presses with a renewed sense of urgency.

Weathered pine trees creak in the wind. In the silence that follows Iris's question the forest reverberates its melancholy song. The world melts away from Jonas's view, it blurs at the edges, leaving only Iris clear and sharp in the centre. Jonas wishes that he could drown in her face. But those eyes that have been so open and welcoming to him are now brewing with confusion and questions he does not want to answer.

He does not know the full truth, but even the little he knows he has hidden from Iris out of fear that it will change the way she feels about him. They are the only souls for miles in any direction, and he wonders if it is wise to cross the line that keeps them on the same side. Perhaps her image of him is already wavering. He has to say something, he has to convince her they are one the same side.

"The day we met I was instructed to find you," the words leave a bad taste in his mouth, and his head falls in shame. Digging down fingers into the sharp crust of the snow he continues, "I did not know their names, I had never met them before... They told me about time travel, and that you were lost. I had to help them find you." He swallows, body sinking further into the white ocean. "Then you told me about Rittenhouse, and I-" his voice breaks, and he takes a shaky breath before continuing, "I never contacted them again, but I suspected- that maybe I was s-sent by them. I chose to go with you, to help you, and I still don't know who they were." He stares at the snow, waiting for the axe of judgement to fall.

Garcia Flynn will never fight in another war and he’ll never not see this one when he closes his eyes. Being a father changed him. He did not see it coming. 

Stiv’s car pulls into the Flynns’ driveway. Lorena and Iris are waiting for him, the porch roof sheltering them from the rain. He, being a temporary invalid, opens the door and hobbles out.

“Daddy!” His three-year-old pounces and he stumbles back against the car.  Lorena sprints to intercede. Somehow, he manages to not drop her.

The girl is more monkey then flower and more python then girl. Her legs wrap tightly around his broken ribs and she takes his half-repressed groans as laughter, or at least, she laughs.

“I missed you Daddy,” she says as Lorena pries her off her fragile father.

“I missed you too, sweetheart,” he says. “Let’s get inside now, we aren’t fishes.”

“ Cold? ” — Ulysses S. Grant wraps his uniform jacket around Iris Flynn’s shoulders.

The torrential deluge managed to catch the TIME TRAVELER wholly off-guard. Every fiber of her one and only borrowed outfit was SOPPING and in SORE need of a proper wringing out.

The embittered spring breeze amplified her discomfitured, her teeth crashing together in CEASELESS shivering until an eternally WARM, freshly warn jacket adores her quaking form. "Th--than--thank you," Flynn manages to SHIVER out.

Effortless, cerulean orbs flash upwards to observe Ulyssess. "W---wo--won't yo--you be -- be ha--- having NEED -- o--of this? You got rained on just as HARD as I did." Yet, it did EASE the cutting CHILL significantly and she wanted to sink into it further. "I don't wish to see you SICKENED on my behalf.

The murmur of her heart entreats that she share an unspoken sentiment. Your country NEEDS you. Yet, her lips refuse to cave. He wouldn't become PRESIDENT for a while.

Star Gazing

Lowly rumbles of thunder no longer disrupts the world, leaving behind in it's wake the soothing scent of rain. Blessedly, the temperate air lingers along with a clearing sky. "How longs it been," Iris starts, "since last you rested?" There's two cups of warm brew coiled in her hands as she settles beside Jonas on a dry patch in the grass. She extends the warm beverage to her companion.

Movement is imperative. They MUST make it back to the Lifeboat by dawn. Any delay and they could be stranded in September, 1940's England. A prospect that does NOT enthrall Iris in the slightest given her background in history.

Sure. The initial the Blitzes would target strategic air force bases. That shouldn't pose a problem. Except, it did. They had temporarily abandoned the lifeboat near a RAF base. All it would take is one errant projectile, one bomb, and their hopes of ever making it out of WWII alive would go up in plumes of choking black smoke.

Rittenhouse's agents must have realized this. Must have lured them both here to die--- Iris grimly realizes. If not by their direct hand, than they could get a far more dangerous league to wipe them off the face of the earth. Internally, she makes another nastier realization. She has tethered poor Jonas to whatever abysmal fate--- whatever that may be. Guilt stains her cheeks crimson as she attempts to amble yet another step forward.

Flynn's agonized figure crumples against Jonas's sturdier form. A cry strangles in the back of her throat. One ventured step seems to feel like a million too many. Jolts of relentless electricity emanate from the marrow of the shattered bone. "We-- we don't have time," she fearfully murmurs.

Iris's head of dark hair tips against his shoulder for support as his arm looped about her waist. "Remember when I said that I recognized the date? You know, when you showed me this morning's paper? And how I couldn't recollect why that date stood out to me?" She tries to ease him in. "Well it came back to me...." Pain wrought orbs flash upwards to fixate upon him. "And you're not going to like it---"

"Jonas? We've got to get out of here." Her urgency-ladened voice is resolute with resolve. "E--- everything in this place---" She feels her voice hitch, "is about to be leveled. I'm talking, the damage is going to be catastrophic." Then in a hurried after-thought, she crams. "If we don't hurry, that includes our ONLY way home." Of course, when speaking about home, she did mean her family's abode. A place she was keen on taking him. At least, until they could find a nice, quiet corner of their own to settle into.

The smile vanishes from his face the moment Iris shows signs of pain. Jonas rushes to her side, wrapping an arm around her waist. "You should take it slow," his voice is filled with concern, "A broken bone doesn't heal in one night. Lean on me."

Emil had absolutely zero idea how he got to this place.

I mean,it was practically in the middle of nowhere,flowers growing as far as the eye could see,It was like this place was seperated from the rest of society,it’s own other world entirely.

Emil could see a house,a small cottage in the distance,admist all the nature,so he made his way up there. He eventually made his way to the door,noticing it was slightly open.

Seeing as he didn’t wish to disturb whoever was inside,he turned away from the door,but only made it two steps from the door before hearing someone humming.

Emil recognized this person’s voice,and turned back to the wooden door,taking a peek inside.

A woman,with light brown hair tied back into a low ponytail,dressed in a white sundress and an apron on,was making something inside,humming a small tune.She was cutting up apples and other fruits when she noticed Emil,She set down her knife and walked over to the door,now fully opening it,greeting Emil with a loving smile.

“Ah,welcome back,Dear. I was just getting ready for lunch,would you care to join me?”

Flynn must’ve been dreaming.

He was walking down an unknown street,until he made it to a small ballet studio.Entering the studio,he noticed a young girl with red hair,who looked quite familiar was struggling with putting on her ballet slippers.

“Might i help you with that,young one?”

Flynn knelt down before the girl and helped her put on one of her slippers,as she stared at him in awe.

“Are..are you a prince? I’ve never seen one before,but thank you for helping me with my slippers!”

Flynn chuckled and took the girl’s hand,getting on one knee,in a sort of knightly position.

“Well,i can be a prince if you wish~Do you have a name,young one?”

The girl stood up and introduced herself.

“My name’s Kasumi! I’m taking ballet so i can be a dancer when i’m older!”

Flynn smirked.

“I see,Kasumi…is dancing hard for you?”

He asked the question,knowing the hardships that Kasumi goes through due to dance back in the present ,but he wanted to know her younger self’s answer as well.

“Well,it’s a bit hard..but i like it!”

Flynn chuckled again.

“Good..that’s good.”

After that strange incident,Flynn would ask that same question to the Kasumi of the present.

“Hm? well,dancing can be very hard at times,but i do enjoy it..”

“Ah,good then,Dancing Flower.”

Alex: Aphrodite. It’s just his vibe. It’s where he can really accept himself as the way he is. (Lol but what if he was an Iris kid that would be great)

Flynn: oddly enough, I’m leaning towards Euterpe. She’s the goddess of lyrical poetry and Flynn likes to rap so... Idk maybe this is just me.

Carrie: easy thing to say would be Aphrodite. Actual answer would be Tephiscore, muse of dance.

Nick: hnnng I wanna say Apollo because he reminds me of will solace but....Euphrosyne. She’s the goddess of good cheer, joy, and mirth.
