Guntur Kaaram - Movie Review
Long awaited combo of Mahesh & Thrivikram has materialised in the form of Guntur Kaaram. Athadu and Khaleja though get terrific viewership when aired on TV, during their release, both were not commercial successes. Thrivikram is back after Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, which was a non-SSR industry hit then. Mahesh is on a success streak, though receiving backlash from fans & common audience for doing only message oriented movies. This time it’s a mass masala film to break those shackles.
Story :- Vasundhara (Ramya Krishna) leaves her 10 yr old son Ramana and husband Satyam (Jayaram) after a fight in the house. Her father cum politician Venakatswamy (Prakash Raj) gets her married to Narayana (Rao Ramesh) and they have a son. With time, Vasundhara grows in politics and is about to get law ministry, when Venkataswamy’s rival in party Kata Madhu (Ravi Shankar) threatens that he will reveal to the world about how she left her 1st son like an orphan and remarried. To counter attack the same, Venkataswamy ask his lawyer Pani (Murli Sharma) is assigned the task of taking a signature from Ramana that he is not heir of Vasundhara and is not expecting anything from the family. Ramana (Mahesh Babu) who is taking after the mirchi yard in Guntur after his father is a rough and rough guy and doesn’t succumb to any pressure or power. Though he misses his mother, never tried to go and see her or meet her. But with Venkataswamy’s approach, he turns rebel and doesn’t sign the documents in whichever way they try. Why Vasundhara left her son and never came back? Did Ramana sign the documents? Form the rest of the story.
Performances :- Mahesh did a terrific job as Ramana and his Guntur accent needs special mention. He was at ease in the mass avatar and he carried the movie on his shoulders. Emotion, Comedy, Fights, Dances, he gave his best in all departments. Special mention for his dances in the movie, he had put lot of efforts and dedication. Though have less screen presence Ramyakrishna and Jayaram did decent job whenever on screen. Prakash Raj was monotonous as we have seen such roles and performances from him before. Sree Leela was there for dances and glamour and she gave her best. Eshwari Rao is superb as aunt, with her action and Guntur diction. Vennela Kishore brings the comic relief. Murli Sharma is good.
Technicians :- Simple story and screenplay, but with good dialogues and performances makes Guntur Kaaram a watchable masala entertainer. It may not look like a proper Thrivikram film or Mahesh’s film, but it looks fresh with both their names tagged to it. Satirical Dialogues of Mahesh were good. Emotional scenes in the climax click well with proper justification to all that happened from start of the movie. Action episodes are not great, just okayish. Songs and background score should have been better.

The outcome of the Board Meeting held on Thursday, 12th January 2023 — BCL Industries
The Board of Directors of BCL Industries & Infrastructures Ltd, in compliance with SEBI regulations, have approved the following actions during their meeting on January 12, 2023:
The issuance and allotment of 55,83,334 fully convertible warrants, allowing the holders the ability to subscribe to one equity share per warrant, on a preferential basis to both Promoter & Promoter Group and Non-Promoter, Public Category, subject to shareholders’ approval and other statutory approvals.
An increase in the company’s authorized share capital from Rs. 25,00,00,000 to Rs. 35,00,00,000, as well as an amendment to Clause V of the Memorandum of Association.
A scheduled Extra-ordinary General Meeting on February 9th, 2023, to seek members’ approval for the above actions, and the appointment of a Scrutinizer for the meeting.
The creation of a ‘Fund Raising Committee’ to handle any difficulties or obstacles that may arise during the company’s fundraising efforts.
About the company: BCL Industries & Infrastructures Ltd is a leading agro-based industry in North India that is known for its vertically integrated plants. The company specializes in producing edible oils, such as refined oil under the brand name Homecook Vanaspati Do Khajoor and mustard oil under the brand name Murli. Their manufacturing facility is located in Bhatinda, Punjab. The Homecook brand offers a wide range of refined oils including soybean, sunflower, cottonseed, and rice bran oil. Additionally, the company imports various crude edible oils, such as palm oil, annually for blending and refining with other oil-based products.
The company was established in February 1976 as a private limited company named Bhatinda Chemicals. In September 1992, it was converted into a public limited company. They have a history of expanding their operations, such as installing a new solvent extraction plant and Vanaspati plant in 1991–92, increasing the production capacity of Vanaspati by 7500 MT to 15000 TPD in 1992–93, and again growing production to 30000 MT in 2001–02.
The company has also received recognition for its products, such as the ‘Shri B K Goenka-SEA Award for Refined Rice Bran Oil’ in 2006–07 and 2007–08. They have also modernized their plant and machinery, and in 2009 they changed their name from Bhatinda Chemicals Ltd to BCL Industries & Infrastructures Ltd. Additionally, the company is currently in the process of setting up a cogeneration system (steam boiler and turbine) which will enable them to generate their own power/electricity to run their plant efficiently.
