Minor updates! Mostly on me haha

I’m ok! I had a hell of a month quite literally.

Our family had to say goodbye to my grandfather after his battle with pneumonia. Making the holiday quite hard on all of us. Shortly after, my father was scheduled for some repair surgery on his spine.

He did great! Sore but recovering.

I’ve also been battling my own medical mystery and had a procedure attempted to try and fix it but it didn’t go that great. Nothing hurt, just nothing fixed.

Then our housing’s plumbing drainage to the city sewer broke for a week.

Then I ended up in the ER after blacking out after a ridiculous amount of blood work related to above problem I’ve been dealing with.

Blessedly: the bones I broke don’t hurt and the IV pokes they put in my hand feel better. My neck is a little messed up in two spots but otherwise I’m ok.

So, I appreciate everyone still shooting messages and drawings while I’ve been in expensive care. I’ll be a little slow to start this year because of everything so I appreciate everyone’s patience during my forced hiatus after a losing battle with the chaos of the universe.

24th of July. It is important yet underrated date for VOCA history, since It is 20 years since the release of "History of LOGIC", which is contained the first commercial render of VOCALOID vocals (MEIKO and KAITO).

Even LEON and LOLA has not been released yet. This song used the prototype VOCALOID from VOCALOID as the main vocal.

Currently, major releases of CDs sung by Hatsune Miku and VOCALOID and collaborations with professionals are not uncommon, but the first VOCALOID song recorded on the major CD was this song that goes back to before the official release.

In my opinion, it brings me a smile, knowing that no matter how much time will goes, there will always were and be people, who love VOCALOID and sharing a piece of their soul with creating music and/or art with these singing fellas..

I wish i could study puppetry, but i doubt i would pass both medical requirements... But maybe i do. Finish my bachelor first and either chase after Puppetry or try pharmacy because fuck it i am not bad at it at all.

I hope everyone's holiday week is going well! I got these as gifts and I thought it would be cool to share with you all some real-life related lore about the AU!

So, why Pink Onyx? Why not just Onyx?

Onyx is, from what I understand, a classification of stone than it is a gem "species" in real life applications. Onyx as we know it tends to be a black gem with white rings, or all black gem. However, other gems in the jasper, agate, and marble family are also called "onyx!" That's why in the AU, the "rank" of Onyx is earned by promotion, not inherently made.

Never saw a "hot pink" onyx. Doesn't really fit what I think of as a fusion between Steven and Jasper.

So this is where my gift comes in!

On the left is "pink onyx", the fusion! On the right is "pink onyx", genuine! The left is a quartz silicate that has been dyed this color. It doesn't really occur this way in nature. The one on the right is more how you'd find a pastel pink rock that can be designated "pink onyx."

That's why the fusion is the "artificial" one, because they are a fusion!

Now you can see why Jasper was so upset at the name. Any gem-enthusiast or collector knows about dyed agate, and they are not natural!! Graaaa lol

But I like the hot-pink version. I don't judge. Pretty rocks are pretty rocks in my collection, man-made, fusion-made, or nature-born!

i think i am going to do an exercise for october for this account but it wont be like, an "inktober" exactly. i will draw one shitty little thing and post it every single day for the most part for a month. it will not be "good" or like. even colored or lined but i wanna post some little doodles on here and make sure i can draw something i like regularly so im going to be silly!! intermictober. intober. midnightober. feltober. something of this nature. ill also try to draw every character in it at least once.
