they were the original old man yaoi to me quite honestly

mummy papa and mummy dog are two of my favorite characters specifically because i think they can be representative of different things but the thing that stands out to me the most is generational disorders. whether it be mental health, trauma, or physical disorders, I feel like the axe in their head and the denial they have about being axed is such a good cartoony metaphor for a father hiding his disorder from his son, who has the same exact disorder. Especially with mummy papas hypochondria it seems like he's attempting to cure something that doesn't exist- BUT IT DOES EXIST! He just can't see it, or maybe he's choosing not to. and his own ignorance is applied to his son- his son can't have an axe in his head, because he doesn't. They must have something else wrong with them. But they just can't seem to shake the headache for some reason.
