Some Life Series interpretation lore (Some people call them headcanons... BUT NOT I!)
Basically a list of what I'm going to draw everyone as + some disjointed thoughts about how the biology/geology/magic works because I am an autistic little FREAK
(Okay to rb, just not putting this in the main tag because I'm embarrassed.)
Species list (â—Ź = More Human looking - â– = More Furry looking)
Grian - ● Wither Skeleton + Vulture (Vanilla + Semi-Vanilla) (^ Resembles a turkey vulture specifically, unadded mob) Scar - ■Cat (Vanilla) (^ Specifically a Jellie Cat) Mumbo - ● Human/Player (Vanilla) (^ Worlds most normalcore dude ♡) Jimmy - ● Tiny Bird (Twilight Forest) (^ Gold Finch Variety) Joel - ■Hedge Spider (Twilight Forest) (^ Spider Centaur btw) Scott - ● Guardian (Vanilla) (^ Head 'crystals' are guardian thorns) Impulse - ● Minotaur (Twilight Forest) (^ Long Horn Cow, Pansy Moobloom) Skizzle - ● Valkyrie (Aether) (^ Wings are small and unusable) Tango - ● Blaze (Vanilla) (^ Has blaze rods circling his head) Etho - ■Leucistic Fox (Vanilla) (^ Has Dark Gray/Light Brown markings, 'Domesticated' Fox) Bdubs - ■Glare (Semi-Vanilla) (^Acts akin to skulk, but with docile moss, Unadded mob) Cleo - ● Zombie (Vanilla) (^ Doesn't burn in daylight due to mutation) Martyn - ● Creeper + Cat (Vanilla) (^ Makes Creeper noises but cannot explode) Ren - ■Wolf (Vanilla) (^ I am implementing "More Mob Varients" ♡) Lizzie - ■Aerbunny (Aether) (^ She rides on Joel's shoulders, also ears blend into hair) BigB - ● Human/Player (Vanilla) (^ He's just some guy ♡) GeminiTay - ● Deer + Skeleton (Twilight Forest + Vanilla) (^ Themes of chronic wasting disease, has a skeletal arm) Pearl - ● Boar (Twilight Forest) (^ Think about it, everyone's like "oh a passive mob i don't gotta worry-" and then THEY DIE AND DIE AND DIEEEEEE)
In my interpretation there's more dimensions than just The End and Nether. There's also the Twilight Forest and The Aether because those two mods register as Vanilla+ in my mind. (Also stuff like Glares, Mooblooms, Copper Constructs, etc. are here too because I'm a salty jackass and this is MY silly thing ♡)
People in this are more or less furry-esque due to exposure to magic. Scar lived in a more magical environment than Martyn, so he's more cat-like instead of more humanoid.
"Undeads" are just their own thing and not actually dead! They have light sensitivity to the point of burning/melting due to the sun leeching their magical energy. Skeletons are very thin naturally and have a high metabolism and very good eyesight. Their eyes are sunken and black but their pupils reflect lots of light like a cat's would. Zombies are slower and have a symbiotic relationship with a bacteria that helps them survive on less food but makes them smell kinda gross. Wither skeletons are similar to normal skeletons but are much faster, taller, and more muscular. Though, their bones are much more brittle.
Planets/Dimensions Radiate magic from within themselves, and Stars burn away their own magic and neutralize it with their light. (Hence why undeads burn in sunlight) The farther you go underground the more magical the lifeforms are. The Nether and Twilight Forest are both underground dimensions due to their planets being closer to their stars. The End is a gas giant with magic infused islands of rock that float naturally, though it is close to its star it's atmosphere is so dense that it isn't effected very much. Btw the Nether is Venus. I know this in my heart ♡ (the other three are just random high-magic planets that linked to The Overworld) The Aether is also a gas giant but is more linked to The Overworld's magic, thus when you fall into the core you wind up in The Overworld's atmosphere. Bedrock is infused with so much magic that it isn't breakable by mortal lifeforms.
Humans do exist! Btw! I know I only have two but listen... I'm a furry. Humans generally are more effected by magic than anything else, hence why there are so many human-like people in my interpretation.
That's all I have for now lol, enjoy my ramble. ♡
#hyd.txt#Edit : I had to edit my post because tumblr fucking hates when I do anything. (It messed up my bolding and my hearts.)

Apologies, I wrote this on my phone, so I cannot put it under a cut.
But here’s a little one shot I wrote about an AU I had for the Hermits, temporarily called the Planet AU! You’ll see why if you read :P
Enjoy!
———————————-
This was probably the most boring part of his year.
He drifts along, steam wafting behind and around him in a glowing red halo; his rings gently bob around his movements, never in his way or inhibiting his fluid motions.
He runs a finger along the glowing dust that forms his rings, disturbing their compact nature. Bits of glowing red dust clings to the steam seeping above his skin, twirling around his slender fingers in a complicated knot.
A sigh blows a strong wind across his atmosphere, stirring the clouds and gases to ripple across his entire being.
He knows the importance of absorbing the rays and lights that his sun provides his surface, it hardens the rivers and oceans of red liquid that stains him, giving his inhabitants the means to travel across his plains and gather the resources to better their civilisations.
He survives on the heat and light, but it also means he can’t be visited by a lot of his celestial companions.
Iskall and Stress were always lucky to be ice beings, their surfaces coated with snow, ice and crystals coloured green and pink respectively. Because of their heavy atmosphere, too much exposure to the sun would result in mass floods and boiling waters, destroying their landscapes and their civilisations that were developed.
If he didn’t desperately need to gather sun then he would most likely be gliding around with Iskall, mixing their resources to create new celestial bodies or electrical creations. His dust is full of electric impulses whilst Iskall has special light refractions and conductive resources that he freely uses for their technical projects.
That would be so much more fun.
A spark in the corner of his eye peeks him up from his slouched posture, his rings becoming more solid; spinning faster.
Oh boi.
A bright yellow sparkle zooms past his sight, friction and flames leaving a burning afterimage in his eyes. A giggle is barely concealed by the rumble the burning ball of gas constantly produces.
He shakes his head before a sharp burning spark is flicked just behind his ear, causing him to jerk away, his rings wobbling at the offence.
A snort and a flash in front of his face produces the gremlin leaning in with a shit eating smile, his molten surface glowing in glee.
Grian, one of his newest friends from a far off solar system. He apparently got sick of his system and flung himself to the loneliest star, not realising that just next to it was the hermits newest energy source.
His old system was slowly dying, the red dwarf ready to extinguish, not able to handle the velocity that Grian and the others were flinging themselves around in their orbit. Old habits die hard, meaning Grian is usually seen hopping orbits and zooming around their mature sun. A visit from the Kepler planet usually brings chaos, unbearable heat and companionship. Which would explain why he is already sighing and preparing for the worst.
“Heyyyy MumbyJumby! Whatcha up to?” Questioned the molten mass as he floated closer to Mumbos face.
Pushing the other planet away with his rings Mumbo replied with a fond smile.
“Well, I was relaxing near the sun until a certain someone came along to disrupt my peace.”
This caused the Kepler planet, now perched on Mumbos middle ring, to huff out a breathe of molten heat, causing some of the ice still left in Mumbos top rings to melt.
Irritated and genuinely curious, Mumbo continued.
“So, hows your little project coming along!”
Apparently not well if the long groan of exasperation is to be noted.
Grian collapses on top of his ring, face smooshed against and moving around the granules of debris, ice and hardened substances; which were now slightly liquefying and condensing into gas under Grians heat.
“I can’t figure out how to actually make the dang thing! I didn’t know rings were this hard to make; you and iskall make them look so easy!”
Smirking in pride, and continued irritation, Mumbo replied.
“Well if you let one of us HELP you, you wouldn’t be having this problem.”
His only reply was a boiling hot raspberry being blown, punching a hole out of his middle ring.
Now getting annoyed, Mumbo commands his ring to spin, flinging the little Gremlin off with the speed.
Letting out a yelp, Grian gains control of his newfound momentum, using it to swing around in a tight U shape, zooming back to his much larger friend with an offended expression which shifted into mischief.
“Now that wasn’t nice! And after I came all this way to deliver a gift to you too!”
Now that gained Mumbos attention, eyebrows quirked he floats closer to the now absolutely shining Kepler planet, analysing every inch of him in search of his gift.
Leaning an elbow on Mumbo shoulder, Grian flourishes his free hand, sending sparks into his weak orbit. The sparks are flung around until they dissipate; much to Grians displeasure, leaving weird afterimages in their wake, disrupting Mumbo vision.
Whilst blinking to recover his sight, Mumbo missed the quick gesture of Grian zooming around to his other side, now holding large clumps of green and blue crystals in his orbit.
“Iskall knew you would be bored out here, so to stop you from complaining when you get back he sent some of his crystals over.” As he finished his grand statement, Grian grinned proudly at completing his task, his magma surface glowing even brighter through the large chunks of solidified magma that makes up hits surface.
Blinking away his confusion, Mumbos eyes brightened, his red stone rings beginning to jitter in excitement. He raised a finger towards the small bundle of resources he was being gifted, allowing his superior gravity field to grasp the crystals from Grians weaker field, ignoring his friends pout.
Iskall knew exactly how to cheer him up. They had been examining the properties of Iskalls crystals before Mumbo had to leave. He remembered Iskall mentioning that he would like to see what would happen with his crystals if they absorbed the suns energy. By giving him this gift Iskall can answer his question and Mumbo can actually do something interesting!
Glancing at his literal hot headed friend shows that Grian was smiling, genuinely happy that he helped cheer up his friend. Before Mumbo could thank him, Grian held up his hand for silence, his posture straightening.
“No need to thank us, especially me; since afterwards you can help me with the ring project.”
Mumbo huffed in exasperation as Grian gives up the act and let’s out an evil snicker.
Despite the teasing Mumbo still decides to thank him.
His largest redstone ring twirls faster, some of the debhris breaking off and forming a mini ring around Grian, much to his shock.
Chuckling at his friends reaction Mumbo decides to have mercy on the little planet.
“I will 100% help you when I get back, watching you struggle with rings is painful. The ring I just gave you is just to help you figure out what kinda ring you want, so it’s just temporary so be careful and go slow with it!”
Grians shock began wearing off, replaced with a huge grin. With a large whoop, Grian shouted his thanks as he zooms off into the distance; completely disregarding Mumbos advice.
Sighing and chuckling, Mumbo turns away from his still retreating friend, glancing at the precious bundle of resources.
He grins with genuine excitement, beginning to travel closer to the sun carefully.
This will be fun.

I think it would be really funny after the whole 'I don't actually like ramen that much' thing, Scar tries to do some research about what Grian might actually like. Maybe even asking some of the other people who work at the gas station if they know.
I feel like it would be 50/50 if Scar gets some actually good advice or not. He would either get told some Grian would probably not like to receive from someone he barely knows or Scar would get told 'I think Grian likes *insert interest here*.'
(or get told absolutely nothing lol)
mumbos like the only other person who works at the gas station so scar asks him what grian likes and sometimes his answers will be normal like "oh yeah grian likes berries. and berry flavored stuff" but hell also say shit thats completely out of the blue and scar will believe him hes like "grian's into extreme glassblowing" "extreme glassblowing?" "yeah. hes also really into roman history so you could blow a glass sculpture of roman gladiators fighting in the colosseum and hell be really impressed" and scars like "oh... thanks!" then he shows up a few weeks later with a giant glass sculpture and grians like uh whats that and scars like mumbo told me you liked glassblowing and roman gladiators so i made this :) and grians like what the hell and it actually looks really good so hes like this is really cool dude what the hell it mustve taken you a lot of work and scars like smiles bashfully thanks... you can have it! and grians like oh what really n scars like yea! n grians like thanks! ^^ and now he has a gigantic glass sculpture taking up half the space in his living room
#grians like why did you put him up to this. and mumbos like no fucking way did he actually do it n grians like OF COURSE HE DID IT ITS SCAR#ask#rich guy scar au

HOOOOO BOY
TAKES OUT MY THEORIST/ANALYST HAT. Insane Ideas Luigra is on stage again BABEYYY
So Scar's latest episode, it's pretty clear that within 1-2 episodes of at least most Hermitcraft members, they're all moving somewhere else, whether through Scar's scheme or not. It's simply advertised as an "off-world" travel, but what does that really mean?
Well, we are most certainly getting SOME kind of fresh start and it's safe to assume it will be quite literally a new world. However, the real question is,
Will it be a new Season or continue to be Season 8?
Well my bets are fully on it being a Season 9 start - all the bases in S8 are finished enough for a season end and a fresh start like this is not going to make any sense to be not a new season as well. And if most of their bases are finished, it's about prime time they release the world download as well-
HOWEVER!
You could also make the argument that the world download doesn't make sense to be released when the moon crisis isn't yet resolved. The blocks are still floating up and if the hermits all just leave the planet behind, the moon will crash and destroy everything. There are going to be holes in the ground.
The world wouldn't be fit to be downloaded. Which means either the moon is going to be stopped from crashing, or there will be some quick excuse or even unexplained at all reason why the download world is all intact.
EVEN MORE, the hermits are going to be carrying over their items and pets to the new world. Which strongly implies continuity of the season. The closest we have ever gotten to that before was Scar's Jellie (which, mind you, he has to find anew every season) and Grian's sold mansion to Doc and Bdubs. Which is not comparable to carrying over ITEMS. ITEMS!
PART 2 - WHAT THIS MEANS FOR TANGO THE BELOVED? (also ties into the seasons question)
Tango, as well all know, has already left the Earth and is directly headed to the Moon. So when the hermits are going to be leaving to the new world (and I'm sure the non-boatem members will think of some way to do so too), what is going to happen to him?
MY THEORIES:
As @eloquentornot kindly pointed out on my previous Tango theory post, the Keralis with no memories that Tango found at the Pass n' Gas could have given Tango a rigged navigational computer.
So what this means is, it's quite possible that the navigator is going to actually lead Tango to the new world!
Or maybe Fakeralis isn't even going to get confirmed, Tango will just mess something up himself. Quite possible.
AND THIS EVEN FITS BECAUSE HE HAS ADEQUATE ON BOARD! HIS PET! The other hermits SPECIFICALLY are going to be carrying over their pets first and foremost!!!
Another theory, however, is that he is indeed going to land on the Moon. Which is bad, bacause Mumbo has launched missiles there. Maybe he'll even meet Cub's cow there. But more importantly the missiles.
Perhaps, with Tango's and Mumbo's explosives all combined, they really are going to stop the Moonapocalypse and the world back on Earth will remain intact enough to be downloaded.
But what will happen to Tango? How will he get to the new world? And if the Moon gets fixed, why leave? There's no way the hermits are going to separate the season into two, with the Boatem away and in the new world and everyone else back home! And what will there be to do for them in the finished bases???
So it's set that absolutely everyone that will decide to remain a hermit will move to the new world. And since this mission is 99.99999% fatal, it's quite possible Tango will respawn already in the new world. But that will mean the loss and a tragic sacrifice of Adequate, which... Yeah, I'll place my bets on the pets all being carried over, which immediately disqualifies this theory.
Yeah, that's all I've got for now! Sorry for the giant wall of text, tried to format it to be more readable! Let me know if I should try color highlighting next time too!

Loving LoL so far and was curious if you could give a complete list of every hermit and their magical affinity or if there was one somewhere ^^
So @theguardiansofredland is the genius that came up with all this but was too lazy to answer this himself so here’s what he copied and pasted to me. First failing in discord and then google docs. We share one braincell.
Check under the cut!
Wizards and their powers
Xisuma: Void magic. A catch all destruction magic. Can create small black holes that can suck up and destroy most anything. He can even specify what can get sucked into it. That way he doesn’t end up killing his friends.
EX: Supernova magic. Able to create light and giant bursts of hot plasma and gas. Like a sun but more light. Also can use more light based magic. Like creating a shield of plasma balls around him so whatever touches it will get hurt. Or can send out little homing missile balls of light.
TFC: Mineral Magic. By touching or ingesting metal or crystal he can gain different powers based off what the mineral is. For example Lapis lazuli can give him water breathing and malachite can give him water/storm magic. However these only have a max limit of an hour before he has to touch a charged crystal or metal again. He can charge crystals and metals in the moon light
Joe: Poetry magic. An inscription magic. He can make spells or summon creatures by making poems. The longer the poem the more powerful the spell. However what gives it true power and strength is the passion poured into the poem. He has to physically write the poem on paper for the spells to actually be cast
False: Blacksmith magic. Anything that can be made in a forge she can summon and control. She can also summon liquid, molten metal and burn people. And can heat the metal of the things she summons. The more things she summons the more energy it takes.
Stress: Ice magic. Can make and create anything out of ice. Even living statues of ice that can fight for her. Also can summon icy winds and snow. Can frost over the floor to make it ice, and create huge ice sculptures and icicles. She herself however is not immune to the cold. And enough fire can easily put her power to shame.
Cleo: Underworld magic. Has control of ghosts, ghouls, skeletons, the undead, and anything pertaining to the underworld. Can make things rapidly decay and die if she so chooses. But she has to touch them in order to do it. She can release a terrifying scream that paralyzes any who hears it for a few seconds. Up to a max of 1 minute. However it does mean everyone, even allies.
Zed: Shepherd magic. Basically like the pied piper. Can have any animal or creature aid him Disney princess style. He can also have them fight for him like Pokémon. This is all creatures, even the mythical ones. He can even use his magic to control people. However this takes a lot of energy.
Tango: Hellbound magic. He can summon demons and other beings from hell. But his main thing is calling upon the power of the demons and can transform into something like a demon. With increased power, new abilities and power, but most importantly (to him) wings that let him fly and fire magic.
Impulse: Detonation magic. Explosions motherfucker. He make things go boom. Can create a myriad of bombs and explosives. He can also create explosions from his hands. Charging explosions and then letting them go boom right when he needs them to. However it is limited to his hands. But with this powers he can propel himself forward and up and all over the place. Launching himself through the air. He can however run out of juice very easily and fast. It’s like sprinting at full speed. You can practice to do it for longer but it still wears you the fuck out. If he gets too drained he can end up passing out or throwing up.
Cub: Portal magic. Can create portals to other places. (Like wormholes) Can even jump dimensions with enough studying. However the longer the distance the more power used. He needs to concentrate or else the portal will end up someplace random.
Scar: Terraforming magic. Can manipulate any element and thing to his whim. He can make mountains out of molehills, and change and terraform anything. But he really is only good at terraforming Earth, Flora, and Water on a large scale.
Doc: Puppeteer magic. He can puppet/posses creatures and objects. It’s like Zedaph’s but not as limited. And it’s powerful. Able to control people and things like machines. He can even give them buffs and powers. Even see through their eyes and control them like a first person video game. However this leaves him standing in a trance wherever his true body is. Leaving him open to attacks. And for the people he’s puppeting, he has to have line of sight on them.
Ren: Imagination magic. Can make up spells and create anything using his imagination. Oh you want a water bottle? He’ll just summon one with his mind creativity. His most powerful ability however is to copy and use another person’s magic. He can only use it for about an hour before it disappears. And he has to make contact with the person he wants to copy. He can do this by touching them or gaining a small bit of them. Like a hair, a piece of their clothing. As long as it has come into contact with the person he can use it. However he has to use it carefully and not too much or else it can backfire bad. He has Wolf ears and a tail cause he copied someone with werewolf magic but he performed the spell wrong. But instead of starting over he pushed on with the botched spell. And now his canine parts are a consequence of that.
Jevin: Slime magic. Can create warriors of jelly to fight for him (like lapis does with creating warriors out of water) as well as create walls made out of slime. Or slow down people by shooting it at their feet. He can use extra sticky slime to stick people or objects to walls and surfaces. But other than the sticky slime, the slime can be easily destroyed. Having the consistency of Jello
Keralis: Insect magic. Can have abilities of insects! Giant moth wings, venom, spider legs, able to have ant strength (like lifting 10 times his own body weight). However he can only use the powers if he eats the insect. So you’ll see him just drinking mango and moth smoothies and nomming on baked crickets.
Bdubs: Plant magic. Able to grow, control and take on the abilities of plants and fungi. He can even turn his limbs into vines and tree branches. The bigger sized and more plentiful amount of plants take a more concentration. And plants are not immune to fire or blades. And if the plants are coming from bdubs’ body, if they get cut or burned it hurts him. The plants sprouting from his body acting like extra limbs.
Iskall: Radiation/Nuclear magic. Can create a nuclear substance (iskallium) that can burn through things like acid or thermite. Can also channel this into bolts of radioactive lightning or fire. He can’t overdo it tho. He’ll end up getting weaker and even at points be paralyzed for a good bit if he uses too much energy/magic
Mumbo: Redstone and Electricity magic. A rare thing to have 2 types of magic. But he has it. He can create almost anything out of redstone (both animated and statue like Stress) and can use it as a conductor for his electricity. But he has poor control over his magic. Going into magic surges where his magic goes out of control. If he gets more worked up or overwhelmed the problem only gets worse.Â
Grian: Sky Angel Magic. One of the rarest magic in the world. He has extremely powerful wind and storm magic. Summoning storms and creating blades that shred through everything. But he also has tremendous healing abilities. Able to make people feel energized again or physically heal their wounds. He can sprout wings that allow him to fly and he can create currents under his wings so he goes even faster. A last ditch power surge is his archangel mode. Gaining a boost in power and radiating blinding light from himself. It’s like looking at the sun. His powers are boosted and he gains light magic. However afterwards it leaves him completely drained and he is usually asleep for a few days. Grian is also very fragile. A glass canon if you will.
Etho: Shadow magic. Can slip and disappear into the shadows. Can use the shadows around him to create temporary weapons and diversions/illusions. With enough power he can even turn his physical body into shadows, making it hard to strike him. However, shadows need light. And he is powerless in darkness.
xB: Whirlpool magic! Can create whirlpools and small typhoons. To either harm or suck in unsuspecting people and ships. He has the basic Kipling abilities of water bending (I couldn’t think of a better explanation). But as a deep water Kipling, his eyes are very sensitive to light. At night he glows brighter than a sea lantern. Sharp claws and teeth allow him to draw in prey.
Beef: Taurus magic. Able to use the powers of the mythical bull as well as transform into it. He can also transform into more powerful beasts. However he needs to keep his emotions in check or else he’ll lose control of himself and become full beast, losing sentience and will. It takes a while for him to return. His kind nature conflicts with his magic, making it hard to stay in control when using lots of magic

Nonfiction: Atlantis/Lemuria
William Scott-Elliot was a nineteenth-century theosophist, and one of the popularizers of the theosophical account of the history of Atlantis. His 1896 book The Story of Atlantis used arguments from archaeology, geology, paleontology, botany, and linguistics to argue for the existence of a great continent that linked and overlapped with Europe, Africa, and the Americas. He relied upon the "astral clairvoyance" of Charles Webster Leadbeater to describe its history. In 1904 he followed up that book with the shorter Lost Lemuria, describing the continent and civilization that preceded Atlantis. Both are available in a single volume online in a variety of formats.
Scott-Elliot's history is a wild mishmash of sober scientific argumentation (referencing real botanical and geological facts, even if the explanation he gives is wrong), outrageous metaphysical mumbo-jumbo, and a splash of late nineteenth-century race theory. The content is wildly entertaining, and it's easy to imagine authors from H. P. Lovecraft to Robert E. Howard drawing, if not on it, at least from the same wellspring of serious-minded hokum to craft their own, avowedly literary universes. Scott-Elliot, alas, meant his history seriously, and he is a pompous and humorless writer. Though the book implies much that would be gloriously entertaining, it reads like the imaginative but unliterary background notes for a D&D campaign, as compiled by a dungeon master the weekend before the first meeting.
Nonetheless, as source material for pulp fantasy-historical adventure, it is of possible interest. An outline and summary of the high points is provided below.
The Story of Atlantis (1896) by William Scott-Elliot
Preface: Clairvoyance is a real faculty, and by it one can learn facts about places distant in time and space that cannot be otherwise accessed. Memory is a non-materialistic faculty, and it is a universal faculty, not one particular to individuals; however, most individuals are only able to access that part of "Nature's memory" which they are individually in contact with. However, the shared natured of memory explains how clairvoyance, "thought transference," etc., are possible. It is by the use of this "astral clairvoyance" that a history of Atlantis has been painstakingly written
The Aryan Race (composed so far of five sub-races, of which the Teutonic sub-race is the fifth historical race to arise) is the successor to the Atlantean Race, whose history stretched over thousands of years and encompassed the history of many nations and civilizations. Atlantis suffered four great catastrophes, in approximately 800,000 B.C.; 200,000 B.C.; 80,000 B.C.; and 9564 B.C. The third was the greatest, and it destroyed all the continent but the island of Poseidonis, which was the land whose destruction Plato recorded.
Evidence of Atlantis's existence comes from deep-sea soundings; the distribution of flora and fauna; linguistic similarities; cultural similarities; and the testimony of ancient writers, folklore, etc. Taking these in turn:
1. There is a great ridge in the midst of the Atlantic, and the seabed all the way to the Americas is covered in volcanic debris.
2. The similarity of flora and fauna in lands separated by wide oceans can only be explained by the existence of long-since-drowned land bridges.
3. There are great similarities of language and alphabet in ancient Asia and central America, and the diversity of complexions and features in the Old World is mirrored in the new, suggesting that all races stem from a single, original location.
4. There are similarities of cultural practice and symbolism across the continents.
5. Peoples on both sides of the Atlantic have flood traditions, and traditions of having originated on an island in the Atlantic.
The Atlantean Race was divided into seven sub-races:
a. Rmoahal: The first race, which rose 4 million years ago. These were dark-skinned giants (10 to 12 feet) that eventually dwindled in size, and the northern branches lightened in color.
b. Tlavatli: The second race, a mountain-loving people of reddish-brown, not as tall as the Rmoahal. They were ruled by chiefs and kings who received authority by acclamation. They eventually achieved an imperial state with a nominal king over them all, but his authority was nominal.
c. Toltec: The third race, dominant for thousands of years of power and glory. Copper-colored and tall (8 feet average). Theirs was the most powerful empire of the Atlantean peoples, and they established the principle of hereditary succession. They were divided into independent kingdoms at first, at war with the Rmoahal, but eventually united into a federation with an emperor over it all. The races still at that time possessed psychic attributes, and the dynasty was divine and ruled by adepts, submitting to the Occult Hierarchy. These took Atlantean civilization to its heights. But decay set in after 100K years, and the connection to the OH was broken, and their occult powers were turned to selfish and malevolent purposes—sorcery. [**] The followers of the "black arts" rebelled against the Initiate rulers, and the "white" emperor fled and a pretender dynasty took the throne. The empire was engulfed by civil wars. The capital ("The City of the Golden Gates") and the evil dynasty were finally destroyed in a cataclysm that left whole provinces desolate. But sorcery continued to be practiced, and "white" kings vied with "black" until the very last and the destruction of Poseidonis.
[**] On "sorcery": Thanks to scientific advance and their psychic faculties, men attained more and more control and control over the hidden forces of Nature. The awful effects of corruption meant that its practice spread, increasing lust, brutality, and ferocity.
d. First Turanian: Colonial-minded people who migrated to eastern lands. Turbulent and cruel, their government structure was feudal. A kind of socialism evolved, centered on state adoption and control of children, but it ultimately failed.
e. Original Semite: Turbulent race hemmed into mountainous districts. Patriarchical government, nomadic lifestyle.
f. Akkadian: Rose after 800K BC catastrophe and ultimately dominated. Lived in settled communities and adopted oligarchic forms of government. Invented dual-kingships, and made great advances in astrology and astronomy.
g. Mongolian: Only Atlantean race to arise with no connection with Atlantis, having arisen in Tartary. More psychic and religious than their immediate predecessors, and gravitated to a theocratic style of government.
Colonization tended to increase over time as subsistence levels decreased. But some colonization efforts were spear-headed by the "good" kings and priests, who were aware of impending catastrophes. The effects of these migrations can be seen in latter-day peoples, such as the Lapps and North and South Americans.
Egypt began not as a colony but as the center for a White Lodge of Initiates after the Toltec cataclysm. After 200K years, a great body of colonists was brought from Atlantis and the first "Divine Empire" established in Egypt. The pyramids were Halls of Initiation and also treasure-houses and shrines for talismans of power. The land was briefly underwater and the rulers in exile in Abyssinia, but its reemergence led to its reoccupation. An Akkadian influx modified the Egyptian "type." The final submergence of Poseidonis briefly submerged Egypt again (a third submergence) and ended the Divine Dynasties, and the White Lodge moved.
The Turanians founded the Aztec Empire, which was of pure Turanian blood.
The original Semites spread widely, even into Egypt, but the Jews are the only unmixed remnants of the race. The Aryan race arose from the original Semites who congregated on the southern shore of the central Asian sea.
The Mongolian race spread over Asia and the Americas and is still in a rising race with a history in front of it.
Arts and Sciences The Aryan race exceeds greatly in its artistic achievements those of the Atlantean, but architecture, sculpture, painting and music were practiced. Music and painting were primitive, but sculpture attained some subtlety, and architecture was gargantuan and decorated with bright colors. Temples were giant halls of Egyptian style, with square pillars, and filled with statues of great men which they paid to have ceremonially worshipped. The precious metals were plentiful thanks to alchemical transmutation.
Education Most children received a rudimentary education before being shunted into agriculture and mechanical arts. Those with superior ability received training in botany, chemistry, math, and astronomy, but with a goal of developing the student's psychic faculties and the occult aspects of the subjects.
Description of the City of the Golden Gates.
Atlanteans had flying ships, but only for the rich. They were boat-like in shape, but built of wood or metal. The propulsive force is still a mystery. They flew at 100 mph, never more than a few hundred feet in the air.
Manners and Customs Atlantean manners and customs naturally fluctuated throughout the ages, but in the main:
Polygamy was practiced, though in most cases only one wife was ever had. Women were treated as the equals of men, and co-ed education was also practiced. Women also had a part in government.
Atlantean cuisine made great use of animal blood and other parts not consumed by us, while the flesh was discarded. They also ate decomposed fish. But milk, grains, and vegetables were eaten. The upper castes, though, tended to be vegetarians. Liquor was forbidden.
Atlantean explosives killed by the release of poison gas, not by concussive force.
State coinage made a late appearance; previously, men manufactured tokens that worked as promissory notes.
Agriculture was centralized and food distributed by the government.
Religion The Rmoahals originally worshipped the memory of Manu, the divine founder of the race. This practice eventually turned into a kind of ancestor worship. The Tlavatli developed a sun worship, the sun being the symbol of the Supreme Being, and erected monoliths on hilltops. Under the Toltecs, massive temples to the sun and to fire were erected. In some of these, the image of a man as the highest representation of the divine was installed. Eventually, this passed into self-worship, with each person worshipping himself as a god. (Wealthy men even employed priests to themselves.)
Under the Turanians, the Unity of the divine became a Trinity—creator, preserver, destroyer—that under the Semites became a trinity of father, mother, and child. Also under the Turanians evolved the worship of elementals—beings created out of malevolent will to serve their creator—involving blood sacrifices to preserve and strengthen them. The human sacrifices of the Aztecs was a reversion to this sort of practice.
Lost Lemuria (1904) Science has shown that shape of the continents and ocean is in constant flux. During the Triassic through Eocene eras, the equatorial regions were dominated first by a single continent, then by a pair of continents when the original land mass broke up. This continent was Lemuria. The inhabitants thus co-existed with the dinosaurs.
The Lemurians were not truly human, not having the Divine Spark that endows mind and individuality and were closer to animals. They showed rapid evolution during their time, developing from an etheric form (the form of the Second Race) into a gelatinous body and then into a solid, skeletal body. In its early form it had three eyes (the third in the back of its head, which evolved into the pineal gland and the focus of psychic vision). In its developed form, the Lemurian stood between 12 and 15 feet in height with dark skin, a long jaw, a flattened face, eyes set far apart like a bird’s, and no forehead. The arms and legs were proportionately longer than ours and could not be fully straightened, and thanks to the third eye and a protruding heel, the Lemurian could walk backward as easily as forward. The skin was loose and scaly.
Early Lemurians reproduced by self-division and by budding, then by being birthed from eggs. Eventually they evolved to give live birth.
Early, mindless Lemurians bred with animals, yielding ape-like creatures that became fully human.
Life and arts were primitive, so that by the time of the fifth sub-race the Lemurians were living only in huts, and agriculture and fire were unknown. It was at this point that the Lhas entered.
The Lhas were a race of supremely evolved humans from Venus who, having returned to the spirit world, took human bodies in order to become teachers of the Lemurians. Thanks to their guidance, the Lemurians acquired the Divine Spark. The Lhas taught them fire, smelting, agriculture, weaving, and brought with them from Venus wheat and the bee.
During the time of the sixth and seventh sub-races the Lemurians built great cities. (The statues of Easter Island are representative of these sub-races and erected by them.)
Lemuria perished in volcanic action, covering the land with ash over a long period of time, ending gradually with the full subsidence of

Space may be the final frontier..
...but it's made in a Hollywood basement
Grian loved the stars. The way they twinkled over his base at night, reflecting in the water and giving off that soft glow. The way that they reflected off his elytra as he flew. It seemed as if he could touch them, maybe if he got just a bit closer. It was during that moment that he made up his mind. He was going to touch a star.
"I'm going to touch a star" Grian was currently hanging out with Mumbo and Iskall, both who looked very confused and concerned after his sudden statement. They shared a glance before Mumbo nervously chuckled. "Grian, you can't touch a star. They're giant balls of flaming gas." Iskall nodded, "He's right. Besides, they're in the void and you don't even own the equipment to actually survive out there."
Grian just grinned, holding up his rockets and making his elytra flutter. "Guys, I can fly! I'll rocket power my way up there. As for air, I'm sure I could borrow Xisumas helmet for a bit. It'll be great!" Iskall just shook his head, giving Mumbo a look of 'You deal with him' before leaving the room. The redstoner sighed, not looking forward to this conversation.
"For the last time Grian, youcannottouchastar. You just can't! It's not possible!" Mumbo was truly frustrated at this point. This conversation had been happening for what felt like hours as they argued back and forth. "You know what? I'm going to prove you wrong. I'm going to go touch a star" Before he could say anything the builder fled from the area, fireworks going off in rapid succession. "Oh for heaven's sake" He mumbled, quickly sending a message to Xisuma to watch out for a certain someone.
It was no sooner that Xisuma got the message that Grian appeared. "Ohh X-ey-ummmaa! Can I borrow something of yours?" The prankster grinned at him, and briefly he wondered if he was in danger. "What do you want? I can't imagine anything I have that would be of interest to you." X crossed his arms over his chest, hoping what Mumbo said hadn't been true. "Just your helmet" came the reply and instantly he was was backing away, his pose going into a more defensive one. "NO, absolutely not! I use this to actually breathe you know!" He tapped the helmet as if to drive the point home.
"Oh come on, you don't have an extra one? Or like, something else that you could use?" Grian pleaded, really wanting the helmet. X sighed, "I could say the same to you, but I might have an idea." He quickly pulled up admin chat and typed in a few commands.
Xisumavoid unbanned EvilXisuma.
EvilXisuma joined the server!
Tped EvilXisuma to Xisumavoid.
"Finally! You call me evil and yet you've left me there for how long?" EvilX stretched, enjoying the feel of actually being outside. "What do you want anyways? I assume I haven't been unbanned for the fun of it" X hummed, stepping closer to the other one. "You'd be right about that. I just need to borrow this for a bit!" He quickly lunged forwards, grabbing the helmet and taking it off with a click. "Hey! Sto-" The sound of coughing overtook the room, both EvilX and Grian looking at X in horror. "Thanks! I'll give it back later, don't worry. Now off to the ban room with you."
EvilXisuma was banned by Xisumavoid.
Grian continued to just stare at Xisuma. Had he just killed EvilX? Who the heck was EvilX anyways? X must have noticed his look, because next thing he knew he had a hand on his shoulder. "He'll be fine. The ban rooms adjusts to your needs so he'll be able to breathe there. Besides, you've got your helmet now." He blinked at the admin before accepting the helmet. Then the truth set in and he grinned, holding the helmet up. "I can touch a star!"
After a quick thank you Grian was off. He headed to his base to grab 2 extra elytras, mend his current one, and fill the rest of his inventory with fireworks. A quick check over everything confirmed he was ready. He put the helmet on and waited for it to calibrate, immediately noticing the difference. It felt easier to breathe now. He did one more check then headed up to the very top of his base, where it sat at build height.
One last look at the world around him and then he jumped. The sound of the fireworks was ringing in his ears as he flew, the air wooshing through his clothes from the speed he was going. It was no secret that Grian was a great flyer. He absolutely loved the freedom in it, and now he was going even further. The world seemed to be getting darker around him. He felt the helmet recalibrate, a glance down telling him he was indeed very, very high up. The world below was almost out of view now, just a faint outline of a square remaining.
Then, he looked up. The stars looked closer than they ever had, their light brighter now that he was here. Feeling determined now, he switched out elytras as his first one broke and pressed on. Soon the atmosphere changed again, the helmet recalibrates again, rinse and repeat. This was definitely taking longer than he thought it was going to, but his want to touch the stars burned brighter than any doubt. After many minutes of flying, the world actually went dark.
Grian has made the advancement: Final Frontier
The notification was barely noticeable in this place, all sound seemingly muffled. Grian grinned, knowing he was close now. Millions of messages were flooding into the chat.
MumboJumbo: Grian you mad man
Iskall85: He actually did it! I thought he was joking.
Xisumavoid: Well no wonder he wanted my helmet. Wish I would have thought of that
Falsesymmetry: Uh, what's going on? Why does it say Grians in the void!?
MumboJumbo: Long story False.
At this point said mad man turned his attention back to the task at hand. He had switched to his last elytra awhile ago and now even the helmet was starting to struggle. He needed to find a star and fast if he still wanted to make it back. His fears would be quelled. He first noticed a pinprick of light that was slowly getting bigger, heat rising as he got closer to it. He checked his inventory, alarmed to see only a few stacks of rockets left. Time to be quick then.
He reached out as he got closer, but what he didn't anticipate was how hot or just how big a star was. His hand made contact much sooner than he thought he would and a message popped up in the chat.
Grian has made the advancement: Starlight
Then the pain finally kicked in as the adrenaline wore off, but it was much too late. He was going too fast at this point, his path going right into the star.
Grian flew too close to the sun

AU Time!
I made an AU a while back: info and fic (that will eventually change). I haven't talked about it in forever, and I'm about to combust if I dont. No plot stuff, but plenty to keep you entertained. Here we go!
Xisuma:
Dressed like this for small bits of the AU, that's fun
He kinda dresses how he wants, he's a bit limited because of the helmet, but he does his best
Yeah, he kinda can't breathe without the helmet?? The only times he can take it off is when it's raining or snowing. Sometimes, if he feels he's doing okay, he'll take it off wherever but that's pretty rare
The Void isn't really talking to him right now? He hasn't been walking and been suddenly pulled into a meeting in the End
Evil Xisuma:
A lot calmer now, but still easily angered
Tired and just wants to talk
Doesn't seem to have a connection to the Void
Cleo:
Formally somewhere where she was torn apart and attacked a lot, big unfun
As a result, she can build surprisingly fast and sew pretty well
Vaugly remembers building an apartment complex with Joe, he does not remember this
Joe:
He's just, so versatile????
Who knows what little bit of experience in something he has next
He and Scar went to the same place but had very different reactions. It left Joe with a strong appreciation for trees and how good they are as an escape route
There's a bunch of notes in the old buildings in his writing, it's assumed that Joe got there first (he usually does) but he doesn't remember making most of the notes
Grian:
Knows a bunch of weird science ("How do you know all this stuff?" "Oh, I'm a biology major!")
He and TFC get along really well? They also look a lot alike, to the point you might think they're related
(Note: They are not related. They give off a similar energy, carry themselves in a similar way, similar hair texture. Anyone who didn't know would be like, "Grandfather and grandson???")
Cub and Scar:
Very connected to the Vex
Like, you'll just find them frozen, eyes white, in a meeting with the Vex because there is no scheduling or preparation with the Vex
True Chaotic is their alignment and that's it
Cub barely remembers his previous world, something about being on the run?
Scar went to a giant savanna/desert area like Joe, but he was a lot more reckless back then. His last memory there was being cornered by the h o g s
Doc:
Listen, I've got him down in my notes as "vaguely scientist shaped milf", if that doesn't say something to you, I don't know what will
Was in a really rough area before Hermitcraft, lost his arm there
Actually learned a lot of what he knows about tech from some friends he made there, wants to go back but is still trying to figure that out
Doesn't really put trust in the gods, would rather do it himself
Mumbo:
Really likes working with other people, it makes him feel like he's not going to mess it up
His previous world was full of tech masters, but it was extremely high up in the sky
He couldn't breathe for the longest time, and had to use effectively a gas mask for ages
Iskall:
He's just trying to enjoy life
He went to the same place as Mumbo, except he wasn't as high up
Holds the current record for adjusting to Hermitcraft
Is, and rightfully should be, worried about Xisuma
Likes working with Mumbo, it's always such a fun experience for both of them
TFC:
OLD man
He's the ultimate comforting presence
He and Xisuma are surprisingly close, and TFC tends to offer him advice, though he's kinda like this with everyone
Stress:
Not super sure on how she has her ice powers, the current theory is that she draws them from goddess of cold and death, but there isn't exactly a way to confirm it
Was previously in a pretty idealistic world, someone caused chaos for a bit though. That was... interesting
She's mostly self taught when it comes to building and redstone, but she did learn a few tricks
And that's all for now! Here's that second part! If you got questions, slide on through the ask box or DM me. Anyway, enjoy life!

King of Prism SSS episode 4 commentary (Kakeru)
Ahhhh.... finally seeing this episode again after a long time was really good. You may think I’m just being over-dramatic, but I honestly think I felt normal again for the first time since seeing SSS Part 4 while I was watching the stream with you guys. Like halfway through I was like WOAH IM SMILING... ahah....... ha......... Part 4 messed me up even more than I thought holy s--
Thanks for always coming to the streams! And thank you Kakeru, for reminding me about love.....
*deep breath* Now, let’s get to it...
So like I mentioned last time, we’re now on what I know as the “Part 2″ episodes.
My experience seeing Part 2 in the theater was like night and day compared to seeing Part 1. For Part 1 I got to go to the midnight showing, and it was super emotional and exciting seeing it with an entire theater-worth of people also seeing it for the first time.Â
But for Part 2 I had to work until 1am and thus couldn’t make the midnight showing. Instead I slept for about 2-3 hours, went all the way to Nagoya, saw this at 8am, went all the way home, and went back to bed before waking up again to go to work at 4pm wondering if it was all a weird dream. So needless to say I was super out of it. I got about two minutes into Kakeru’s episode when I was like... wha... huh..... wait wha....... and comical sweat-beads started rolling down my forehead when I realized I had NO idea what was going on. I felt like the entire theater was just as out of it as I was since they were really quiet. Probably because most of them went to the midnight showing and got just about as much sleep as I did....
The whole what is going onnnnnnnn feeling never quite left me. Especially with this episode in particular. But. Â
My favorite feature of Kakeru has always been his eyes....
So seeing him go through 8 stages of acceptance in this opening always gives me chills....
OH MY FUCKING G..............
So in the past I have railed on Crunchyroll for their wonky wording, but this is the first outright mistranslation I think. (Unless “solid style” wasn’t on purpose, but that one was so ridiculous I kinda feel like it may have been....)
If you have seen Pride the Hero, you’ll know Kakeru doesn’t leak the Prism System to his friends. He leaks it to the Itsutomo Group.Â
To be fair Sadana doesn’t say Itsutomo Group here. Just Itsutomo. But still, what did the translator think the “Itsu” part meant? They leave so many things as-is, but this... THIS they decide to attempt to translate into something.Â
Okay. OKAY...................................
I really, really like Kakeru’s dad. But not for anything he does in the movies/anime. He’s a super boring pushover here. But if you take Young of Prism and layer it on top of all that..... he’s fucking great.Â
I was so out of it when I first saw this the entire natural gas plot went over my head. I was just like “Episode 5: Kakeru goes to Madagascar. Does a prism show. Then he comes back for some reason. The end?????”Â
I also missed the earlier reference as well. To think when Kakeru looks at the newspaper in episode 1 and is like “Natural gas is expensive!!” that was foreshadowing ahah.Â
So this is the most controversial part of the episode I think. Globalization/colonization/industrialism has done damage lot of nations which were just fine beforehand, and I think paving over all of Africa’s natural habitats would likely cause.... various problems.Â
Do I really have any right to be commentating on this? No. But I don’t think King of Prism does either. I just don’t think it’s really the time/place for it.Â
But all-in-all I suppose Merina’s opinion isn’t too unusual for someone who works for Juuouin Group. I just wish they made it more clearer that his opinion and not the general opinion of Madagascar.Â
But then again what do I know. I really don’t even want to be talking about this!! It was just such a weird choice to take this episode to Madagascar at all.Â
This brought me so much joy. Please go read Young of Prism if you haven’t yet.Â
NNghkdhgkdhg baby Kakeru................. face......... uuuUUUgfh and his cute little voice...........
I also often wonder what Kakeru was doing in Kodama’s office in the first place. He’s not actually his uncle I believe.
My headcanon is that his mother dropped him off there one day when she was busy with something and needed someone to watch him quickly, then Kodama-san’s office just gradually became Kakeru’s daycare.Â
In cheering people will point up one concert light shaking with increasing intensity. Usually orange because nobody knows what other color to use.Â
.......GGDGDGDGdksl;fl;sgs.......... AHHHHHHHHHH.....HHH........hhhhhhhhh.. K.....
Crunchyroll agrees with me that Kakeru’s father is “Momojiro”. I know that’s the most likely reading, I’m just really bothered and concerned that there is just no furigana for it anywhere.
And behold, my favorite Kakeru face of all time.Â
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh poor baby you were so pure back then
And behold my second favorite Kakeru face of all time aahaha
Okay now is as good a time as ever to bring it up, but.Â
I’m a bit disappointed that young Kakeru doesn’t wear glasses.Â
Because most kids get glasses before middle school if they are going to get them, don’t they? It makes me worry Kakeru’s glasses are just an image thing.Â
I mean he’s certainly frikkin adorable without them, but I dunno.... It made me weirdly happy to learn that Hiro wears contacts in episode 1.Â
I just want visually impaired comrades in my anime I guess!!!
Or maybe he just went without for longer than he should have by memorizing the eye test by listening to the kid in front of him like I did.Â
Kakeru can you see I’m worried about you.
Okay I’ll move on......
So someone pointed this out in the stream, but he doesn’t really say “mood” here. He says “kao iro” which would translate more into like... health? I don’t know. I honestly have no idea what he was getting at and it’s always puzzled me.Â
Oh the controversy.....
Okay so, that whole non-issue aside. About the rest of this scene.Â
I am not particularly offended by it for two reasons.Â
First...
Kakeru’s grandfather is giving him important life advice while his face is IN A BOOB
YOU CANT TAKE THIS SHIT SERIOUSLY COME ONÂ
King of Prism has a tenancy to pair serious moments with ridiculous visuals that nearly ruin them on purpose and it’s a whole other level of humor ahah. There is an even better example of this in the next episode.......
Secondly...
KEI-CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
In the theater people hold up two light blue lights as soon as she rises up and then go nuts. It’s the best.Â
While most of the other characters were inspired by watching male prism stars like Hijiri or Rei, Kakeru watched mostly the girls and I get a kick out of that. We have already known he’s their fan for a while due to his Blowin’ in the Mind ringtone and side materials saying he has their magazines in his room, etc.Â
“What” - cheering audience
So if you look up “kakeru” in a Japanese-English dictionary, you’ll know it has.... a lot of meanings. And since they always write the boys’ names in katakana (to make it ambiguous I guess) you can never know for sure.Â
Here we confirmed for the first time it is intended to be çż” = to fly/soar
This is a theme throughout SSS. How much Shin changed things for everyone............(I’ll come back to this)............
LOVE
So I guess when Kakeru got back from Madagascar Leo was like “So what do you want for your Prism One outfit?” and he was like “Make me a flamingo” and Leo was like “......You got it.”
Or maybe Leo was already like half done with Kakeru’s outfit and then he just burst in the door like “LEO I NEED TO BE A FLAMINGO--”Â
I only have one bad thing to say about Kakeru’s prism show and it has nothing to do with Kakeru’s prism show. I noticed that his legwork is really similar to Taiga’s, which was when I realized for the first time that it’s the same person doing all the motion capture. So that kind of brought me back to reality a little bit. But oh well. That person is really fucking talented.Â
They have been talking about Kakeru doing a prism jump where he’s naked with a pile of money for YEARS. HE DID IT. I’ve seen it in manga, I’ve seen it on Prism Rush... BUT THIS
Also how similar this is to the Prism Rush version amazes me...
CYALUME CH--
.....So I guess the translators haven’t watched PriPara either huh.
Wait is this even supposed to be for “Cyalume Change” because the subtitle is at such weird timing.Â
Also I felt bad afterwards about putting “CYALUME CHANGE” as one of my shitty out of context spoilers ahah. I hope I didn’t ruin it for anyone. At least I didn’t say what episode it was. My hope is that anyone who read it has been waiting to be blindsided by CYALUME CHANGE and it came at the best possible moment.Â
The first couple times I saw this episode I really wondered how cheering would go since so much of this episode is just business mumbo jumbo and if a lot of people would even show up for Part 2 cheering at all.Â
But then after about a week in I found myself waiting in the lobby before a sold out cheering show and saw a girl whip out a giant pink feathery fan.Â
Then the girl next to her was like hold my beer and took out a giant (fake) money fan.Â
Never underestimate Kakeru fangirls is a lesson I have learned over and over and over again.Â
A lot of people will also have three or four pink concert lights in one hand and an orange one or a color changing one in the other for this part ahah.Â
PAINT IT ORANGE PAINT IT ORANGEÂ
(The lyrics to this song are nonsense. But it’s Kakeru, you can’t expect anything less.)
Prism shows with jungle animals are always a good time. (I can’t help but think of Shi Yoon.)Â
And there you have it, Kakeru saved the entire country of Madagascar.... with his prism show........ let’s not..... let’s not think too hard about this........
I suppose there are multiple ways this could be true so I shouldn’t be thinking too hard about this either. But.Â
The debut of the Leo pigtails.Â
Well actually I think he had them earlier in the episode too, but this was the first time I noticed.Â
Nothing warms my heart more than the few times Taiga throws Kakeru a bone by showing him the tiniest bit of affection. Even if it’s tsundere. Look at him. He’s just so happy. Aw Kakeru. Good for you. Â
I think this moment was kinda ruined by the new ending music though. In the theater it’s more quiet.Â
So I have always kinda felt like the Part 2 episodes are a bit weak compared with Part 1 and Part 3, but that’s probably a bit unfair considering how I experienced them. All of them grew on me more with time. It was also kind of hard coming down off of Taiga’s episode. After Taiga’s was so high tension I kinda expected the same for Kakeru too, but they went in a totally different direction. It was nothing like I thought it would be.
Before it aired I wondered if it would be about Kakeru trying to decide if spending his life in the Juuouin Group was right for him or not. And he did question it at one point when he was younger, but unless I misinterpreted it this episode was more about him loosing what he had and trying to get it back? He had doubts in his mind at one time about whether love exists, but he already came to believe it does before the events of this episode. So I guess Kakeru really has no doubt in his mind about what he wants for his future. You know, I think I like that better. I worry about him burning out with all the stuff he does, but it really does seem to be his true calling. Â
I find it rather sad that the Edel Rose boys never found out Kakeru’s backstory though. Instead he shares it with Merina. He couldn’t even tell them he was leaving. But then again, Minato quickly interpreted that it was probably too difficult for him, I’m sure he was right. The other boys seemed to understand and support him regardless. Kakeruuuuuuuuu...............
In side materials it’s kinda of hinted at here and there that Kakeru really wants to be more like Minato. He wants to be someone strong who supports everyone. He also really seems to not want to show any weakness to anyone, especially his friends....? (As I’m typing this I’m thinking back to the White Day event on Prism Rush when he was trying so hard to organize everything while also trying his hardest to hide that he was falling apart......) I guess he picked this up in the business world as well. Because of this I still feel there is a lot to Kakeru we still don’t know.Â
Well. Since I remembered this time and I liked this one: The special video for this episode that they show in the theaters has a voice over describing Kakeru’s intense schedule on a normal day.Â
But apparently on weekends he does no work at all. He gets caught up on manga and then plays with his friends. They showed a lot of stills of him hanging out with the Edel Rose boys, but my favorite and the one I remember the most was him playing arcade games with Shin (on a mysteriously PriPara-looking cabinet.... I think it was a fighting game though?)
Also Kakeru has a secret trunk in his room which must never be opened.Â

What you listed for Stella is why I love the character, not those traits themselves, but it's precisely those questionable and morally ambiguous traits that makes her that much more interesting. Like you, I find those problematic, and I cringe when people proclaim "she can do whatever the fuck she want". But I do know other real life people who can be brilliant with giant blind spots. GA even said Stella has a lot of faults and that's partly why she like her. 1/2
Stella’s personal choice did affect her work, the case, just like other people’s affected their lives (Spector, Burns, Breedlove, Sally Anne, etc), and that’s all an important part of the show. I’ve also disagreed with people who felt Aallan Cubitt was trying to tear Stella down and get her to fail, 1) I don’t think her failed, not getting exactly what she wanted isn’t failing, and 2) life is fucking tough sometimes, just more of what The Fall tried to say. 2/3 (sorry this is getting long)
But I do agree reducing Stella vs Scully to simple “squareness” is just too simple. If you sat down GA for an hour just to dissect the characters she will be able to say much more than that. I feel Stella just resonants with the mature GA much more, not to mention GA can actually collaborate to shape the character. The sureness GA has regarding her own talent is reflected in her involvement with developing the character the the characters own sureness. Âľ (oops getting even longer)     Â
Also, I think a lot of what GA feel towards Scully is filtered through whatever crap perspective CC has been feeding her, she never was as involved actively & creatively in developing the character or its growth. Even now, it’s clear it’s whatever CC says goes, and she doesn’t even try to influence. So there is a involvement compartmentalization/detachment. Stella is like a flower she planted herself, Scully is one she bought in half bloom. She does appreciate both, just not the same. 4/4      Â
******
I agree with a lot of your comments, anon. I agree that there are brilliant, good people in real life who operate with huge blind spots in compassion and empathy. I totally agree that Stella was deliberately written as a flawed character - and that may be the most progressive aspect of The Fall, tbh. When I pointed out what I struggled with regarding Stella, I pictured her as a real person in my life that I worked with or knew socially; but her issues - however you perceive them - don’t make her any less watchable as a female character on TV. In fact, she is incredibly watchable and intriguing. I believe it’s extremely important to portray flawed women in movies and TV, not just likeable people pleasers. However, like you, I find it concerning when people lionize her because of her issues - especially if they do so just because Gillian said she likes Stella so much.
I also agree that it would be interesting to delve deeper on this “square” thing with Gillian. Further, I think you’re right that Gillian is more detached from Scully than Stella for a multitude of reasons, some of which you pointed out. That’s why I want her to get reinvested in Scully, do her homework and add layers to Scully the way she did in the original run. Gillian usually defers the brilliance of Scully to delivering “what was on the page” but, listen….I have a few XF scripts. There is so much more that she (and David, for that matter) brought to the role than is in those scripts. Sure, the director makes a huge difference, but so did Gillian herself.
I’m cautiously optimistic about S11, but I really, really want it to actually be good. I want Gillian to be good. I don’t want it to go out as sub-par incomprehensible mumbo-jumbo filled with histrionic characters shrilling how they want to believe; I want it to be remembered as the smart, engaging, thrilling, sweetly romantic, compelling series it once was.Â

VOYAGER: WHAT THE ACTUAL FLOOP:
So I recently (as in yesterday) started rewatching Star Trek: Voyager and I made a few notes of my thoughts. -the episodes are mainly janeway shouting (at people who are occasionally not even in the room) and getting space jargon, science mumbo-jumbo and made up statistics shouted back -episode progression: what janeway's spirit animal? / how do we fix the wound we made in this giant space coffee nebula monster? -FLOOP; janeway's hair/ SHE HAS SO MUCH HAIR! HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS?!?! - that really is an amazing opening theme, it really captures the wonder and mystery of space and how truly awe inspiring (yet terrifying) it would be to be stuck there. -romulans are made of plastic, they look like plastic vulcans -WAIT! romulus?!? Like romulus and remus? Are you say that they named there planet after the supposed founder of rome? Or is it just a coincidence? I DON'T KNOW WHICH IS LESS BELIEVABLE?!? -janeway is THE "f*** you I exist" character. -1995? The same year xena came out? (not like that brain) did the mid nineties just say "screw it" and make a bunch of strong female characters? -as much as I want to say I'd be janeway or something, I think I'd be neelix after he first discovers the replicator... FOOD!!! -damn it... am I meant to like the doctor? -it's half five in the morning and I'm still watching trek. -tuvok's eyebrows are stupid. I mean, I know he's not human but seriously... did they make the actor pluck them like that or are they covered up with makeup? Then again, I've seen girls in school with worse eyebrows - WHAT DO YOU MEAN SEVEN OF NINE ISN'T IN IT UNTIL THE 4TH SEASON? I HAVE TO SIT THROUGH JANEWAY BEING AWESOME FOR THREE SEASONS BEFORE I GET TO SEVEN OF NINE BEING AWESOME?! I DID THE MATHS, I'VE GOT NEARLY TWO DAYS OF EPISODES LEFT... (actually that doesn't sound too bad) - janeway just said to tuvok "it's your show now" NO JANEWAY, IT'S YOUR SHOW, YOURS!!!! (I'm calm) -so class M is planets they can explore and class D is gas giants. OK. - "some sort of BIO-POLYMER residue" bio = life / polymer = plastic. ARE YOU SAYING THAT THERE IS SOME KIND OF LIVING PLASTIC IN THIS ASTEROID ALIEN GRAVEYARD?!?!? -"just some naked dead people" -I really can't tell if they deus ex machina OUT of trouble or IN to trouble more. -if you throw pasta into a black hole, would you make spaghetti? -there's a blue guy; they keep saying that it is a small crew, so how come I didn't see him before episode 15? -"get the cheese to sick bay" -the ship got sick so they gave it a fever...

Shanty Joes Ship Log, Entry One
Ahoy,
Last I wrote I was setting sale on a whirlwind adventure with me fellow theatre troupies and me brother,
We met our fellow crew mates in a fine market place to be sure, Our youngster troupie Echo met a long lost cousin of his. They seem to come from polar opposite sides of the universe, though his cousin has his heart in the right place it doesn't pay to apologise for a young man who takes what he wants it breeds character after all when you are beaten by a shop keep in an ally way. Ohh and levitated by some magic man who sells trinkets, reminds me of a time me and me brother where stuck on a desolate planet with nothing but a tooth pick and a shaman who had a bag o berries. We bumped into this raggedy old shaman on our second day of being stranded he promised to fix the old HMS Barda for us, instead he turned me and me brother into goats for attempting to steal his berries. Thanks to my brothers quick thinking however we enchanted the shaman to sleep with a goat song. Then stole his berries which thankfully made us human, and gave me gas as bad as the big o'l sun. We mended our broken ship with some magic mumbo jumbo and set sail once again.
So yes fun times being youthful ya see.
I lost track of me boat of thought... wait... so we were in the market place!
Young Echo was causing strife, and for some reason we as a crew purchased an abundance of Limes... the reason still confuses Old Shanty Joe.
Once our supplies were back on the ship we were invited to witness a legendary event, a ancient being was going to hatch from an egg, well from a pearl. Look don't ask to many questions, in all me years it pays to just accept that a giant space creature will hatch from a pearl with a full city on its back. These things happen, not often, but they do.
After that event that is about as common as a queens burp, we made our way to the boat, The Legacy, the crew were greeted by 6 heros, all of which I reckon are using us as canon fodder. They wanted to send a rag tag group to the ends of the universe in search of crystals or something, look I fell asleep ya see so I lost track of the finer details... someone will fill me in on the way as to what our mission really is. For now that ends the first log, check back soon for more legendary tales from Old Shanty Joe.
