Got into the tour bus soaking wet from head to toe haha then the bus went around Mumbai dropping off people and we got off at some place idk where and we went to railway station and were supposed to board a local train. Now you know Mumbai local trains. We didn't know them back then. Me papa and sis got on but somehow MUMMA WAS LEFT BEHIND AT THE STATION BCZ OF THE RUSH😭😭😭😭😭😭

We got off at the nearest stop, boarded another train and went back to get mumma😭😭 My behen was crying but I couldnt decide whether to laugh or cry I was doing both lol😭😭😭 Papa was soooooo pissed off lol

Day 2

Our first full day in Mumbai started out with another amazing spread at the hotel’s breakfast buffet. Soon after, we loaded up on the bus and made our way over to the US Consulate- Mumbai Building. Upon gathering our event badges and passing through security, we sat down to listen to a few speakers share what they do within the US Consulate, and how the relationship between the US and India has a powerful effect on the economic and business sectors of both countries.

After the consulate, we ate a Thali lunch at Thackers, which consisted of small ramekins filled with various curries, vegetables and other delicious foods. It was a wonderful combination of spices, flavors, and textures, and I can safely say that it left many of us stuffed for the rest of the day. Following lunch, we took a tour around Mumbai, led by our guide Sancia, and visited the Gandhi Museum, Kamala Nehru Park (also known as “Hanging Park/Hanging Gardens”), the Pramod Navalkar Viewing Gallery, and of course, drove past the famous $1 billion Ambani home.

However, the excitement didn’t stop there. We rode one of the local trains for a few stops and got to experience the thrill of feeling the fresh air blow through the car. Some daredevils even stuck their heads out the door to feel the wind head on. There is no way the Boston T has anything that comes close to that feeling. Our final stop after getting off the train was a lookout point over the Dhobi Ghat, an open-air laundromat. One sleepy bus ride later, and we were back at the hotel. A few people ventured out to find some food, while others were too tired to go further than the hotel restaurant downstairs.
