Beauty Before a Mirror (1930s)
I lied. I do want to highlight an interesting technique on this image. Look at the creases and folds of the person. You can see there is indentation. This is created by pressing the paper into a sharp carving with great force to give subtle texture and lighting to a piece. This is known as karazuri and is often used to create even more subtle variation than could be obtained with different shades of ink.
