The Citizenships Amendment Bill :The hindu rasthra project
The Citizenships amendment Bill 2019 which was passed in both lower and upper house seeks to give citizenship (or fast track the process )to those primarily 6 religion groups Hindu, sikh, Christian,Jain,Parsi, Buddhist who are religiously persecuted minorities belonging to 3 neighbouring country pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan. The act also reduce the residential requirements for these ppl from 11yrs to 6 and cuttoff date has been set at 21 Dec 2014.In short The bill choose to open it’s door to non muslim from 3 countries.
In both its intent and wording they brazenly singled out one community:MUSLIM
Damning part of this act is they carefully avoided “persecuted minorities” from act but in their statement in objection and reasons they say persecuted minorities will be given citizenship. They also relaxed some rules Through notification in 2015 -2016, Home ministry exempted these undocumented migrants from adverse panel consequences (making it lenient) under the passport (entry into india) act 1920 and foreigner act 1948.
If government intention is to give citizenship on humanitarian ground why they choose these 3 country only and Why not the following ppl who are also persecuted on a daily basis?
Ahmadis in Pakistan ,in thier constitution they not even consider muslim many riots killed them, infamously in 2010 where 84 Ahamdis are murdered knows as Lahore massacre.Srilanka Tamil refugee more that 55000 living in tharamangalam district of Tamil nadu who fled becoz of civil wars ,religiously persecuted by Christian/monks.Atheist in Bangladesh.Christian in BhutanRohingyas in myanmar.
CAA balantly discriminates n says we will allow this minorities but not those minorities!!. Countering this in parliament gov says “we only allowing from country who are theocratic in nature and their state religion is muslim”. In doing this they inevidently discrediting other minorities n thier suffering!
Some myths regarding this Act which I point out below
Argument 1:- Amit and modi in his speech says crores of ppl will benefit from this
Fact:- a)Before CAA lapsed in 2017 (since it failed to pass in rajya sabha on time) bill was sent to standing committee . When asked questioned how many will benefit intelligence bureau said quote “there are 31313 (Hindus 25447,sikh 5807, Christian 55, Buddhist 2,Parsi 2 Jain 0) currently living who have been given long term visas on basis of thier claim of religious persecution in Thier respective countries and want indian citizenship” unquote
B) Government of india has yet to formulate law/provision to find out how a person is religiously persecuted and not on economic/political basis.(this is also shows how hastly and without proper discussion the bill was passed).
C) This CAA will not help to even those who are currently persecuted minorities and came after cutoff date 21 December 2014 .
Argument 2:- Hindu population dropped from 23% to 2% this was claimed by many BJP seniors .
Facts:- there is little change in hindu population in Pakistan over the years, rather than systematic decline hindu population fell drastically before and after partition.
In Undivided British India in 1931, 15% hindu population constituted in Pakistan this percentage dropped drastically in 1951 to 1.3% why is that because millions of hindus migrated from Pakistan to indian side.
Hindu population was consistent through the year.
1951 :- 1.3%
1962:- 1.4%
1998 census showed there were 2.1 million hindus living in Pakistan that number grew to 3 million in 2017 census
This migration also explain sudden drop in muslim in indian side of Punjab ….54% muslim lived in indian side of Punjab State in 1941 that number came down 0.8% in 1951 post partition.
Argument 3:- There are 49 muslim majority country and muslim can choose any country but hindus has only 1 .
This is argument is farce if that’s the case why even include Buddhist and Christian ? There are 5 Buddhist majority country and more than 100christian majority country
Modi/shah will fullfill jinnah dream of two nation theory..
Amit Shah in parliament debate accused Congress that it divided India on the basis of religion and he is undoing the mistake it made in 1947 , even modi said in one his election speech “There are many children of Maa Bharti who have faced persecution in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh… We will stand with those who are a part of India once , but got separated from us.”
The claim is that the CAA will somehow finish the unfinished business of Partition. On the contrary, it will only fullfill Jinnah two nation theory
Partition become necessary when there are two vision from different leaders who didn’t agree upon, one was Jinnah who wanted muslim for Pakistan and hindus for India… on other side Indian founders belived that nationhood is not a religious construct. It is geographical. From Islamabad to Kanyakumari, we were one people united by shared geography and history. We were united in our diversity.
Savarkar was also among the first to purpose two nation theory in ambedhad during hindu mahasabha council debate 1932
Ambedkar replying to Savarkar wrote quote “Strange as it may appear, Mr. Savarkar and Mr. Jinnah, instead of being opposed to each other on the one nation versus two nations issue, are in complete agreement about it. Both agree, not only agree but insist, that there are two nations in India—one the Muslim nation and the other the Hindu nation. They differ only as regards the terms and conditions on which the two nations should live” unquote
Gandhi wrote in his biography “I find no parallel in history for a body of converts and their descendants claiming to be a nation apart from the parent stock”
God only know which history books Amit Shah read!!
Because of this difference of opinion two country came into effect
With CAA if you are a Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian in present-day Afghanistan, Bangladesh or Pakistan, you will soon be able to walk into India illegally, or overstay your visa, and become an Indian citizen in six years. To exclude Muslims from this privilege, just because they are the “majority” community in these countries, is to say that Muslims are not the children of “Maa Bharti”
In practice CAA will encourage large scale migration from neighbouring 3 countries predominantly hindus completing unfinished business of modi/shah dream of making hindu rasthra.
Hemant Sharma BJP senior Assam leader openly says he wants to give Bangladeshi hindu migrants election voter id and asking shah to expedite CAA process as soon possible before Assam 2021 state election. ( Lol I mean they not even hiding about this ).
With CAA + NRC
Modi/shah has a tool to harass muslim who are unable to proof their grand father citizenship, these will be stripped of citizenship and will be sent to detainion camps.
Hindus in(CAA) muslim out(NRC), that’s the message of this exercise it basically a way of accepting two nation theory (Jinnah would be patting modi/shah right now). Such a good way to honour 150th anniversary of Gandhi right?.
One of interesting fact about CAA nowhere it is mentioned “persecuted minorities” so saying ‘see we are helping minorities” is nothing but media spin meant to fool us ..
If ram and Rahim both residing before 31 Dec 2014 and both have been declared illegal ,ram has a easy way out he can approach United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees declare himself he/she perscuted and get citizenship through CAA and God knows what will happen to Rahim!
Even Chetan bhagat who I use to call him modi bhakt tweeted this simple explanation.
What about those who are poor, homeless, ppl from tribals area, ppl who have been displaced through floods..how all this ppl will produce legacy documents??This is not only anti muslim but also anti poor, as Kannan gopinathan (IAS officer who resigned post article 370) says this government not only evil but also dumb,
Evil because it’s target certain community
Dumb because even after creating big blunder in Assam NRC which costed them more than 1600cr (they junked it saying majority found to be hindus) says they will apply NRC through out India *demonetising human being*
Conclusion,my final thoughts..
CAA itself is discriminatory and with NRC, Modi/shah has a dangerous tool to target muslim, harass marginalized groups, polarize through plaint media ,use it has a vote bank politics and change idea of India forever which our founder fought n we cherished for 70yrs.
Past 30yr they used Ayodhya,
Next 30yr they will use CAA+NRC.
Jai hind.

Organic Basmati Rice Exporters & Processors Practices
Anil K Mittal reminisces that He would have liked to keep our full names: Khushi Ram, and Behari Lal. This speaks volumes about our history, "After all, there's much to the name."
Anil K. Mittal isn't an advocate of the famous Shakespearean phrase, "What's in a Name?". Anil is the chairman of KRBL the largest Indian Basmati Rice company. KRBL is also the producer of best types of rice in pakistan, as well as other items.
KRBL has seen a lot of growth since its inception in 1889. Its headquarters are in Noida (Uttar Pradesh) however, it was not the company that was actually established. It was founded in Lyallpur in Pakistan and is located in the present Faisalabad. Rice mills were only a tiny element of the overall business strategy. The company also was involved in cotton spinning, textiles and banking.
KRBL is the largest best brown rice in pakistan miller and exporter. KRBL holds a 30% domestic market share and a 25% of basmati exported under its brand market share. It has two mills located in Punjab as well as Uttar Pradesh, which have milling capacities of 195 tons/hour.
KRBL has a total revenue in the year 2016 of 3,594 crore, and a net profit for the year 2016 of 334 crore. The company's capitalization has grown at an increase of 86% in the previous years, reaching 9,699 crore by March 2016. These numbers aren't surprising given the brand's reputation and the lower price of raw materials, as well as the higher cost realization.
The company was able to manage it through numerous changes within its distribution channels that allowed them to expand and establish their presence within the domestic market. They also managed to expand their presence on markets outside of the United States, which reduced the risk of financial loss.
Anil can be able to look back in time and remember his time at the company in the year 1968, for the sole purpose to leave a lasting impression on the businessmen of the family. After having gained enough knowledge, Anil began his own journey. He bought an offer to provide the military with barley. Anil recalls this as the turning point in his life. KRBL was a fully-fledged rice company in the early 1990s.
After a string of successful decisions and thrilling years, Anil decided in 2003 to purchase Oswal Agro Furane which was a sick unit in Punjabi. It appears that the choice was to their advantage. The plant today is able to process around a million tonnes of rice every year. It is capable of processing around 7 percent of Punjab's paddy production at 140 metric tons per hour.
KRBL is currently run by Anil the brother of Anil and his daughter. KRBL strongly believes that the strength of a business is in its employees. If a business is looking to expand it must ensure that its employees are allowed to act as entrepreneurs in their own areas of expertise. Olam International is a top agribusiness operating from seed to shelves across more than 60 countries and supplies raw materials and food to more than 23,000 customers across the globe. Olam International has been able to connect their small-scale farmers and rice farms with customers across every major country that consumes rice by leveraging their vast market network and their global supply chain for rice.
Olam International, a producer of Mama's Pride rice as well as Chef's Choice rice, has started harvesting during its dry season of rice cultivation. A total of 11 harvesters were employed for harvesting. "The modern machines could not stop the farms from involving over 600 farmers who are seasonal from the host community to the process of farming," Mr. Pieter Nel said.
The farm that is dry is 3,920 hectares of the 12,920 acres. Dry season rice farm is expected to yield 4.5 tonnes per hectare. This is over 30% more than the average national yield of 1.3-1.8 tonnes per hectare. Olam International can credit the higher yield to the most modern farming methods that include more rigorous soil standards needed for the production of top rice export from pakistan. The result was obtained through a series of laboratory tests on different soil kinds. Other methods include using airplanes to plant seedlings, using efficient pesticides and fertilizing with high-quality fertilizers.

New licences for CNG stations soon
Tumblr media
• Step aimed at absorbing surplus re-liquefied natural gas • ECC meets today to consider revising subsidised prices of essential items   ISLAMABAD: Amid supply chain challenges that affected the compressed natural gas (CNG) sector in the past, the government is set to allow new licences to CNG stations purely on the basis of imported re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) supply.   A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet has been convened on Wednesday to take up a three-point agenda, including permission to grant new RLNG-based CNG licences to revive the sector, a senior government official confided to Dawn.   The meeting, to be presided over by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, will also consider revising subsidised prices of essential commodities under Prime Minister’s Relief Package-2020 owing to increase in market rates.   The ECC will also allocate small quantities of natural gas from Mangrio and Mithri gas fields in Sindh to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited.   At present, the total CNG consumption stands at about 188 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd), down from a peak of about 392 MMCFD between 2009 and 2011 when CNG was a booming business before gas curtailments.   RLNG consumption in the transport sector was about 65 MMCFD in Punjab before Covid-19 which has dropped to 50 MMCFD, while the remaining 140 MMCFD CNG is being consumed in the other provinces, mostly in Sindh. Punjab used to consume a maximum of 240 MMCFD in the transport sector in 2009-11.   The petroleum division has moved a summary for grant of new CNG licences to absorb the imported RLNG that is becoming surplus after the recent government decision to remove mandatory 66pc purchased for three Punjab-based power plants of about 3,900mw for better privatisation proceeds.   The division had been directed by the cabinet committee a few days ago to find alternative options to divert RLNG freed from power plants.   The move is also aimed at optimal utilisation of existing two LNG regasification terminals at Port Qasim and create demand for two upcoming terminals over the next 12-18 months.   During this period, the government expects revival of closed CNG stations and operationalisation of new licences.   Informed sources, however, said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had opposed the summary primarily because of prior investigations for CNG station approvals and their mushroom growth.   The petroleum division had last year asked Ogra to allow RLNG-based gas connections in line with the ECC decisions. When CNG operators approached Ogra, they were told that licences of CNG stations which had not been operational for years could not be renewed.   Besides, RLNG was not available in most cities with the result that many CNG stations went out of business.   Under Ogra Ordinance 2002 and the provisions of CNG Production and Marketing Rules 1992, issuance of a CNG licence to any prospective investor applicant falls under the exclusive domain of Ogra.   In January 2008, the then caretaker prime minister, Mohammadmian Soomro, while receiving a presentation on review of power and gas situation, had directed that “new CNG licences in the pipeline should be held up and CNG connections should not be given except to those who have already imported CNG machines”.   Later, in April 2011, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani imposed a moratorium on provision of new industrial and commercial gas connections across the country with immediate effect for a period of six months.   On the expiry of the said moratorium, Mr Gillani approved certain proposals with respect to the CNG sector in September 2011 under which Ogra issued marketing licences to the prospective applicants.   In January 2013 PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf took up a summary submitted by the erstwhile Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and again put a ban on issuance of new provisional licences for setting up of CNG stations.   He ordered that the cases of CNG stations that were 100pc complete in terms of civil work and installation of equipment and had approached Ogra before Feb 29, 2012 for pre-commissioning inspection may be processed for grant of extensions/renewals in provisional licences where required, and grant marketing licences accordingly. The PM’s Secretariat later extended the date to June 30, 2012.   The federal cabinet, in its meeting held on April 12, 2017, relaxed the moratorium on new gas connection based on Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG). Therefore, the gas utility companies are now in a position to provide new gas connections to the CNG sector applicants based on supply of RLNG.   Further, the private sector is now taking up the import of LNG to service the CNG sector and the burden on the government to ensure gas supply to the sector is also diminishing. Also, CNG pricing was deregulated in 2016 by the government and prices are now set by CNG stations on the principle of market forces. However, CNG price is still cheaper than that of petrol in terms of heating value as measured in million British Thermal Units (MMBTUs).   In the fresh summary, the petroleum division has proposed that permission to grant new CNG licences may be accorded and Ogra be asked to incorporate in terms and conditions of RLNG-based CNG licences that the “licence is only for RLNG-based CNG and the licensee cannot claim for its conversion to indigenous gas”.   An official said about Rs25-40 billion worth of investment was expected to be revived over the next couple of years by the CNG stations which had been out of business for almost 12 years.   Read the full article

PNB scam case: Nirav Modi can be extradited to India, says UK court
Tumblr media
Nirav Modi, once touted as a billionaire designer diamantaire, and now wanted on charges of fraud and money laundering in the $2-billion (Rs 14,000-crore) Punjab National Bank scam case, was on Thursday ordered by a London court to be extradited to India, with the judge ruling that the 49-year-old did have a case to answer before Indian courts.
The verdict will, as is the procedure in Britain, be referred to the country’s home secretary, Priti Patel, to authorise deportation at her discretion. But Nirav Modi is permitted to appeal against the ruling to the high court.
After nearly two years of proceedings since he was arrested at the British capital’s well-known shopping precinct of Oxford Street, a district judge at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court, Samuel Goozee, ruled: “I am satisfied that there is evidence upon which Mr Modi could be convicted… A prima facie case is established…He has a case to answer for in India.”
The Prime Minister’s Office has acknowledged it was tipped off about Nirav Modi’s uncle Mehul Choksi (the two had business dealings) as early as July 2016. PNB complained to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) about dubious letters of undertaking (LoUs) in February 2017. Yet no action was taken. Choksi fled to the Caribbean island of Antigua, with which India does not have an extradition arrangement. Read More

At least 25 Indian farmers have died during protests against controversial legislation. . . Fourteen deaths have been attributed to exposure to the cold, as approximately 500,000 farmers - most of whom are Sikh - continue to sleep in their tractors and blockade roads outside Delhi, despite temperatures dropping to 3°C at night. Ten death occurred in road accidents as farmers travelled to Delhi from the surrounding states of Punjab and Haryana, while an eminent Sikh priest from Haryana shot himself in protest at the new legislation.
Farmers fear a monopoly by several large corporates means the price of their crops will fall, while they will also lose the cushion government guarantees provided against price fluctuations on the open market.
As two-thirds of Indians are employed in agriculture the farmers are largely enjoying the support of the nation and on November 26, 250 million Indians took part in a nationwide strike in support of the farmers.
Lives, and not just livelihoods, are also at stake. In Punjab, the price of land and farm supplies has risen by 300 percent since 2016, while crop prices have risen by just 19 percent.
This has squeezed farmers’ profits and resulted in many smallholders - 86 percent of Indian farmers own less than two hectares of land - racking up thousands of pounds of crippling debt.
Stuck in a cycle of unpayable debt, Punjab is currently experiencing a dramatic surge in suicides among its farmers.
Sikhs constitute the majority of the population in Punjab and they are leading the protests in Delhi.
Amidst growing criticism from Sikhs worldwide, Mr Modi made a surprise visit to the Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in New Delhi on Sunday.
Mr Modi offered prayers and invited fellow worshippers a rare opportunity to take photographs with him in an attempt to build bridges with the Sikh community.
Five rounds of talks between Mr Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party and farmers’ union leaders have proved inconclusive, with farmers’ refusing to compromise on anything other than a total rollback of the Farm Bills.
Further talks are expected this week, while farmers have threatened to occupy streets in New Delhi next if their demands are not met.
