OOPS GUESS WHO FORGOT TO POST THEIR ART ON HERE

Hello everyone!! I finally remembered to post on this account too. I am currently working on a Mr. Men project that started on it's anniversary to celebrate 53 years of the book series!! I hope to add one character a day!! And if you all want to suggest a canon character to add, please do!! It's only one per person though-

I don’t mind per se that the adaptations generally make Mr. Collins purely comic and/or less malicious, but it does annoy me that people would probably think it was untrue to the book if someone made an adaptation where he’s genuinely mean-spirited.

MC: Oh? Then why is the book you're holding on fire?

Solomon: Ah, is it? How silly of me. *attempts to put out the flames without giving himself away*

MC: You're not fooling anybody, you know.

He's doing his best to act like nothing is bothering him and not doing a very good job.

However, I can also imagine him being deliberately troublesome and he knows exactly what he's doing. He's gonna make you forget all about Thirteen and you won't even realize what's happening until it's too late. It all starts so innocently with a soft touch here and there, maybe a brief press of lips against your neck. A few specific words and fleeting glances and suggestive smiles. You get to decide if you give in or not.

What can I say, I love a jealous-prone trouble making sorcerer. Though I also love a sweet beautiful reaper. I would like to have both, personally.

As I make my way through Vanity Fair, I'm a little bit obsessed with how Thackeray is so brutal in pointing out his characters' flaws and sarcastic about everything, so you wonder if he can see the good in anything or if he's just here to tear everything and everyone down--and yet he still manages to make you genuinely care about these people. He'll point out all the ways his heroine is stupid and weak--and then turn upon the imagined reader who might be criticizing her for those very things and be like, "I'd like to see you do better." He'll drown you in this tidal wave of satire and then suddenly take your breath away with the most heartfelt emotional moment.

He somehow manages to blend these two different approaches to the story in a way that feels completely natural. It's like he's the cynical wit showing off how smart he is and how much he doesn't care, except that underneath it all he cares so much. Or like the sarcasm is driven not by cynicism, but by idealism that can see how no one lives up to those ideals, so he has to laugh at everyone to avoid falling into despair. I don't know. I haven't finished the book yet so I can't say where he's going with this, but it's fascinating.

sorry im about to vent off topic :i s2g if they hint on handsome jack in the movie and it is NOT dameon clarke im gonna lose my marbles. I feel like when they look at the success of the characters as well the VAs do so much heavy lifting to giving life to these characters. why they didnt just use the VA for Claptrap from B3 is beyond me why did it need to be someone else so it doesnt even sound right - they def went for name recongition over matching the characters - kevin hart is so tiny hes such a small dude and roland is large and also if roland is alive wouldnt thta imply that jack's also alive. like handsome jack is so successful because of dameon. he gave so many off the cuff lines. and if they wnated to make a movie why would they not choose the tales gang if thats the one that gave them so much credit? sorry i have so many feelings and i, also so SICK of seeing tiny tina bein g used for literally every borderlands merch thing recently

I'm fine with actors putting their own spin on characters they play and seeing how their writing can be interpreted differently but with handsome jack it becomes really tricky cause like... dameon clarke MADE jack who he is. Like a lot of people credit him for how good of a character he is so whoever WOULD play jack would have a whole lot of expectations to match. We already hate the casting (which is 100% just to get attention instead of accurately portraying the characters) so imagine how much more we would hate it if they messed jack up

Overall the whole movie just adds to what I said about gbox being out of touch with the fandom. We got randy already claiming he wants to make a sequel when the whole fanbase has voiced concern and disinterest about the movie just based on the trailers and they're just really trying to force lilith and tina to be fan favorites when they're... not? Like I love them, especially lilith like that's my homegirl right there, but the fandom as a whole would disagree that they're even well-liked characters

His Birthday is on thanksgiving (November 24th).

He’s around 25-30.

He binge watches cook shows

He eats at least 10 meals a day

He’s best friends with Mr Skinny

No but why is Augustus getting killed in the musical so sad to me because they literally mentioned that he “never tried to make a friend” and in the West End when he’s up the pipe he literally says “I’m so lonely!!” LIKE THIS POOR BOY DESERVED NONE OF THAT HE LITERALLY DIED WITH NO FRIENDS. (In the musical version ik he doesn’t die in other versions)
