Cherryheart = based on kanji in Atsushi's name (if I remember correctly, "atsu" as "kindness" and, obviously, "sakura" (do cats know what sakura is?)

Jaguarstar = Yoshiki is one of the most important figures in vkei, so he must be a leader of the clan ("jaguar" because of the points on the fur)

You were down bad the moment you saw that little smirk. The way he'd flash his teeth added that extra spark to his oh-so-smug eyes, and the airy little purr of confidence in his voice that had your ears ringing, both put together made for a deadly combo.

The first time he winked at you, you were a goner.

Leonardo's courtship was full of him showing off for you and taking every opportunity to do so. Whether it was his agile prowess as a ninja or his bladework, Leonardo would make sure you were looking whenever he reached the peak of his stunts. Admittedly, what was more charming was his intent on impressing you than the acts he did to achieve that, adding to his appeal.

For the first few weeks of knowing him, you viewed Leonardo in that light: confident, if not slightly arrogant, but not in a way that would do any harm. He'd pose with his katanas resting on his shoulder, flash that smirk over at you, and you'd go weak in the knees. How could you ever resist such a charismatic, fearless, handsome, capable warrior?

Very soon, you saw his goofy side.

Oh, his brothers told you he was even worse back when they were all teens. They told you many times you arrived at a point in Leonardo's life when he wasn't, well... chaos incarnate?

You struggled to envision just how much further his antics went when he was younger because as soon as Leonardo grew closer to you and trusted you more, his jokes became more frequent, you saw more expressions on his face other than that flirty grin, and he let you see how he truly got along with his siblings.

It was a shock at first, but you knew it only meant he was serious about you. And ultimately, when Leonardo showed you that side of him and saw that you stayed, he knew you were serious about him too.

He always compliments you on how hot you look.

Leonardo knows what a great partner he has in you, and he definitely shows you off whenever he can.

This goes from proudly gesturing at you for everyone else to behold to him yelling "Yeah, that's my girlfriend right there!" and "That's right, she's dating moi!" or things like that when you do something nice, or simply for no dang reason at all.

Leonardo also loves to keep an arm draped around you, whether you're in company of others or not. He loves feeling close to you.

He loves it when you scratch/stroke under his chin and the base of his neck.

Sometimes, when you're working out, he'll walk up to you and cheer you on, compliment you, or simply watch you with a little grin in hopes that you'll invite him into the workout or simply let him coach you.

He will also randomly pull you in for a dance, spinning you around and dipping you even if there's no music around. Leonardo will take the lead each time and he'll always make sure you're having a great time with it. He loves the feeling of your hands firmly on his shoulders when you dance.

Speaking of, Leonardo absolutely flexes and invites you to feel his bicep just 'cause.

Leonardo is also the type of boyfriend who'll goof off and purposely become all mushy and romantic for the mere reason of bugging his brothers and making them gag. He loves that you go along with these efforts.

When you're alone with him, Leonardo doesn't necessarily do a 180 on his personality, but he's much calmer and softer. He'll still joke and goof around with you, but Leonardo loves to simply lie on the bed or sit on the couch with you and cuddle while you two talk about virtually anything.

At times like those, Leonardo usually takes the upper hand and cuddles you, but he's also very fond of you being the big spoon or hugging him while he rests his head on your chest.

Leonardo loves when you gently stroke the top and back of his head. It's a great way to get him to fall asleep or tone down the silliness - not that you'd ever want that because you love his sparkling personality.

As part of that sparkling personality, Leonardo's shows of affection are rather playful too. Sometimes, he'll take your hand and kiss it with excessive chivalry, bowing down to you and looking up at you with that smug, signture smirk of his. If you're in private, he'll sporadically kiss you on the arms and shoulders, and he's also not a stranger to the occasional affectionate bite.

Just imagine Leonardo biting your shoulder, firm yet soft, with his flirty grin as he looks up at you. You look down and meet his gaze, making him stop biting only to move up to peck you on the lips. He smirks, knowing it gets you every time.

Leonardo is also fiercely protective of you, and you (and everyone else) quickly find out that your safety is not something he's willing to joke about.

The few times you've been close to being in trouble or in danger while dating Leonardo have been the times you've seen him actually angry, and you really think him capable of avenging your honor if anyone so much as tries to scare you.

Seriously, Leonardo's wonderfully sweet and chaotic and chivalrous around you, but a formidable, menacing Leonardo is truly something to behold.

Meanwhile, you've never felt safer knowing your katana-wielding boyfriend is keeping watch over you.

Plus, something about an angry, no-more-bullshit Leonardo makes him more attractive. It reminds you that despite his charm and wit, Leonardo's absolutely capable of being a fearless leader, and you hope to be with him long enough to see him evolve into one.

It was quiet at the lair, what with almost everyone else having gone out on the important mission of getting enough pizzas for the night. You were making your way quietly across the dojo when you saw Leonardo in the middle of a hand-stand with his teeth forming a little grimace of concentration as he shifted his weight onto his left hand, attempting to lift his right one off the floor to balance. You couldn't help but stop and look at him and his perfect, elegant form, making the difficult nearly seem effortless if it weren't for the brief quivers his body gave while he tried to balance.

While you watched him silently, you heard him let out a soft laugh.

"I know you're there," he acknowledged your presence even though his back was turned on you.

"Please don't stop on my account," you replied.

Leonardo laughed again, the sound draped with the confidence that came to him whenever he wanted to flirt with you. "You wouldn't like that, would you? You just love watching me do this."

You rolled your eyes playfully at him. "Sure, Leon. Sure."

"Don't I know it," he snickered as he placed his right hand down again and began shuffling in that position. "Hey, hey, hey, watch this. Watch this."

He used his hands to walk over to you, his movements graceful - you knew a hand-walk like that required a lot of strength in the body - but you felt like teasing him. You pretended to be distracted with the details of the dojo, looking everywhere except at him as he approached you.

"You aren't looking, baby," Leonardo called to you, fully aware of what you were doing.

"Oh, sorry, are you doing something?" You questioned with your gaze on the roof.

"Oh, that's what it's gonna be like, huh?" Leonardo accepted your challenge and shifted himself back to standing normally. His abilities as a ninja allowed him to, in one swift movement, be up close to you as he swept you in his arms, wrapping them just below your bottom to lift you up and spin you around, relishing in the sound of your surprise-infused giggles. "Guess I'll just have to get up real close to you, that'll make you keep your eyes on me, won't it, beautiful?"

"Leon!" You squealed between giggles as he kept spinning you flashing that flirty smirk at you. He knew what he was doing with that glint of mischief, and you loved that he did. He was truly irresistible when he looked at you like that, and you couldn't help but lean down and kiss him.

The feeling of your lips on his made Leonardo slow his movements until you weren't spinning anymore, and without breaking the kiss, he gently lowered you to stand on the ground again, straightening his body so that his arms were now wrapped around your lower back. You held his shoulders, and then you slowly slid your hands up his neck to cup his face, feeling as he gently shivered under your grip and his skin grew warm and dewy, prompting you to pause the kiss and pull apart.

"Are you sweating?" You asked him.

"Well, yeah," Leonardo said in a low purr. "Didn't you see how hard I was training?"

"I did."

"Yeah? What did you think?" He grinned.

"Very impressive," you humored him.

"I figured," Leonardo briefly wiggled in pride.

"You're so strong," you chose to humor him further.

"Yeah?" He prompted with that same purr in his voice, letting go of you to raise his arms to his sides and flexing them to highlight his muscles.

"Yeah," you replied.

"Yeah?" He asked again, inching his face slowly closer to yours while still flexing.

"Yeah," your voice lowered too, and you let your hands travel down to his shoulders again.

"Kiss me," Leonardo finally beckoned, lowering his arms to hold your waist.

You gladly obliged and perked up on your toes. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pressed yourself closer to him, kissing him with a gentle passion and sinking in completely to him. You let his broad frame secure you, with a firm grip around your waist, as he pressed himself slightly harder onto you to deepen the kiss. You let your instincts guide your fingertips to gently brush over the markings on Leonardo's shoulder, and you delighted in the soft, airy moan that escaped him as he wrapped his arms even tighter around you.

Leonardo moaned into the kiss again a bit louder, but shorter too as his attention was drawn to another matter at hand. "We do have the place to ourselves."

You opened your eyes and looked at him enticingly. "Who are we pranking this time?"

"I already switched out the water in Donnie's bottle for vinegar," Leonardo grinned.

You gasped. "You started without me?"

"Now now, there's plenty more we could do," Leonardo wiggled.

"You're right," you nodded. "Donnie's gonna wanna was the taste of vinegar off with something else. What would be his first choice?"

"Tap water," Leonardo replied.

"Let's seal the water flow to the taps and hide a frog in the cupboard where he'll have to reopen it," you said. "He'll be so agitated that he'll open it fast and trigger a fight response. You wanna see Donnie with a frog on his head, right?"

Leonardo chuckled and lifted you off the ground again. "You evil little mastermind."

"Just how you like me," you cooed.

"Very much," Leonardo purred before kissing you softly one more time, then pulling away and grinning with mischief. "Alright, I'll catch the frog."

C'est difficile le boulot en ce moment. Pour l'instant, beaucoup de situations dépassent la simple rééducation du langage.

Grande demoiselle de 12 ans qui arrive épuisée un mercredi soir. La raison : on fête Saint Nicolas dans son école, et tout le monde sera obligé de s'asseoir sur ses genoux pour la photo. Elle trigger de devoir s'asseoir sur les genoux de ce gars costumé, elle n'en dort pas depuis le début de la semaine. Au lieu de faire de la compréhension à la lecture, on s'est entraînées à dire des phrases avec la voix franche et déterminée, pour refuser qu'on lui impose ce contact physique.

Je trouve ça dingue que des adultes en charge d'enfants et de jeunes adolescents soient si peu attentifs à leur consentement. A la fin de l'heure, elle était en mode warrior et comptait bien défendre sa position et celle des autres.

Petit bonhomme de 8 ans, très très sensible, très très tdah, subit du harcèlement depuis des semaines, refuse d'aller à l'école, notes en chute libre. Réponse de son instit : c'est des enfants, ils s'amusent. Du coup j'étais énervée. Soutenue par la directrice de l'école, du coup j'étais surénervée. Elles refusent également une partie des aménagements demandés parce que "c'est dans le programme". Du coup j'étais à un niveau d'énervement vreuuumeeeent

Bon du coup j'ai profité de cet énervement assez high level pour dire ma façon de penser et préciser aux gamins que si j'apprends encore qu'ils ennuient mon petit poulet, c'est moi qui viendrai décider de la sanction. On verra si ça change quelque chose mais cet enfant a besoin d'avoir des adultes de son côté.

Petite maman de deux enfants tdah de 4 et 8 ans. Le papa vient de faire un AVC, il a une hémiplégie et est hospitalisé depuis qqs semaines. Les beaux-parents donnent un coup de main et se mêlent de tout. Son boulot est difficile et a des horaires instables puisqu'elle est garde d'enfants malades. Le quotidien est un cauchemar à gérer. Le petit réagit très mal à ce changement de vie, le grand gère pas trop mal mais les difficultés scolaires s'intensifient notamment parce que les devoirs sont faits avec les grands parents, c'est moins cadrant. L'instit s'inquiète, appelle le psycho-medico-social lié à l'école, c'est une ergo qui vient voir au lieu de l'assistante sociale. Elle décide en l'ayant vu 30 minutes que le gamin serait mieux sur tablette et sans concertation avec l'équipe, elle lance les démarches. La maman se retrouve avec une vague supplémentaire de démarches administratives à faire pour officialiser l'utilisation d'une tablette à l'école, obtenir une aide financière et avancer les 1000 euros nécessaires. Elle se retrouve aussi avec l'obligation d'apprendre à son gamin l'utilisation de la tablette et donc mettre en route une prise en charge chez une ergothérapeute parce que quand c'est dans le cadre scolaire, tout doit être officialisé vu que ça entrera en compte dans la passation des épreuves certificatives. Le tout en moins d'une semaine parce que l'école insiste sur l'urgence de tout ça.

Coup de fil bien énervé au directeur de l'école pour lui demander des comptes et lui dire que prendre des décisions pour mon patient sans m'en parler, c'est non et ajouter une telle charge mentale sur cette maman, c'est non aussi. L'école n'est pas l'urgence en ce moment. L'école n'est jamais l'urgence, il faut dédramatiser les résultats scolaires et prioriser le bien-être, si la maman lâche maintenant c'est tout le bateau qui coule.

Petit loulou de 11 ans, famille séparée. La copine du papa est psy et dit que le gamin est autiste. Il n'est pas autiste, il a subi le décès de son papy, qui était une personne très importante pour lui, alors qu'il était en pleine émergence du langage, vers ses 2/3 ans. Je le sais bien, j'y étais. Il a développé un mutisme sélectif, on a réglé ça petit à petit et c'est devenu un moulin à paroles mais son non-langage de quelques années l'a rendu plutôt contemplatif, très attentif aux details et très capable de lire dans le non-verbal des gens. C'est suffisant pour que madame neuneu le prenne pour un autiste (d'autant qu'il a décidé de ne pas lui adresser la parole) et mette ses copines sur le coup pour affirmer son diagnostic qui ne tient à rien. En plus d'être dangereux pour sa santé mentale, c'est totalement anti-déontologique. Il n'est pas autiste, il n'a même pas un début de symptôme d'autisme. Du coup on est 8 ans plus tard et je vais faire passer un testing à mon petit poussin devenu grand pour prouver au monde entier et surtout à lui-même qu'il n'y a rien qui cloche chez lui.

Petite choupinette de 6 ans avec une agénésie du corps calleux, elle est passée par toutes les hypothèses depuis ses 3 ans. TSA d'abord, vite mis de côté grâce à la courbe de progression qu'elle a montrée lors des séances (elle est passée de jargonophasie à un langage normal en moins de 2 ans), tdah ensuite, mais je n'y crois pas une seule seconde. Puis dysphasie pragmatique. La pragmatique c'est cette branche du langage qui est suffisamment floue pour que beaucoup de professionnels lui tombent dessus. Ça fait 3 ans que je travaille avec, en collaboration avec sa psy. Elle a un profil HP et une angoisse liée à ce profil, c'est ce qui induit les comportements parfois bizarres qu'elle peut avoir, dans sa gestion propre de sa sensibilité et de ce qu'elle comprend du monde et des gens du haut de ses 6 ans. Mais des personnes qui la voient 20 minutes ont administrativement + de poids sur son diagnostic que sa psy et moi, qui la voyons depuis 3 ans.

The new Trump administration is busy. In a fury of executive orders, the restored president has frozen hiring at the federal government, cut off large amounts of science and research funding, ended or severely curtailed international programs in women’s health and HIV treatment, attempted to unilaterally amend the constitution to deny citizenship to hundreds of thousands, cut off aid to Ukraine, provoked a diplomatic spat with Colombia and renamed the Gulf of Mexico in official documents as “the Gulf of America”.

Many of these moves are stunts and distractions, meant to appease Donald Trump’s base of aggrieved culture warriors. Others are meant to further Trump’s personal power, and to make sure that no obstacles will be presented to his second term agenda of malice, retribution and corrupt self-dealing.

On Monday, Trump made a move that belongs in the latter camp. Disregarding the formal process that is required by law before nonpolitical federal civil servants can be terminated, Trump’s acting attorney general, James McHenry, summarily fired more than a dozen justice department career prosecutors. All of those fired had been assigned to the two federal criminal investigations of Trump pursued by the former special counsel Jack Smith in the classified documents and January 6 cases. In a letter informing the attorneys of their termination, McHenry wrote that their involvement in the cases was the impetus for their firing. “Given your significant role in prosecuting the president,” McHenry wrote, “I do not believe that the leadership of the department can trust you to assist in implementing the president’s agenda faithfully.”

It is the kind of sentence that has been produced by the profound shift in the constitutional order under Trump. In another lifetime – before Trump’s entry into national politics – the notion that the Department of Justice existed to “implement the president’s agenda” was the kind of thing that people could end their careers by merely suggesting.

The Department of Justice’s independence was once so fiercely protected that when Obama’s attorney general, Loretta Lynch, exchanged pleasantries with former president Bill Clinton on a tarmac in Phoenix in 2016, the incident ballooned into a national scandal that contributed to Hillary Clinton’s electoral defeat later that year. When Richard Nixon tried to exert pressure on the justice department to drop its investigations of him in 1973, demanding that the Watergate special counsel Archibald Cox be fired for his political disloyalty in much the same way that Trump has now moved to fire the lawyers who worked for Smith, the justice department officials were so aggrieved by Nixon’s overreach that both the attorney general and deputy attorney general resigned immediately, in an episode so dramatic that it became known as the “Saturday Night Massacre”.

But what was then considered an unacceptable and arrogant presumption of executive power by Nixon barely registers as an offense from Trump, who has issued a blistering series of actions rewarding his friends and followers and punishing his enemies in the week since he returned to power. He pardoned 1,500 people involved in the January 6 attack, including those who had been found guilty of violent offenses, and some have already allegedly reoffended following their release.

But no matter: to Trump, violence committed in his interests is no sin. And he has rescinded the protection details of officials and former officials who have been subjected to threats by his supporters, including Anthony Fauci; to Trump, those who displease him are not entitled to protection from violence. They deserve what they get, and any number of the roving violent January 6 rioters who have now been released may be inclined to give it to them.

We do not like to admit it, but it may be time to state plainly what many of us already know: that Trump has already largely remade our constitutional order. Powers that no one would have imagined that the president had just two weeks ago, when the office was occupied by a Democrat, are noddingly assumed to be within his purview now.

It is hardly a debate, now, whether the president has the power to impose tariffs without the cooperation of Congress, though the legal question is far from settled; it is assumed that his bizarre directives to suspend funding that has already been appropriated by Congress must be obeyed. The firing of the prosecutors is a transparent overreach, but it is not clear that anyone will be able to stop him: if the lawyers sue to try to enforce their own rights as civil servants – or to try to force the president to recognize the limits of his own power – it seems perfectly likely that the large number of Trump-appointed judges on the federal bench will retroactively rewrite the law to say that Trump, if not other presidents, has in fact had this power all along.

Such is the vision of the constitution that Trump seeks to impose: one in which his whim becomes law, one in which the power of his office is constrained only by the limits of his imagination. When Trump suspended birthright citizenship last week, a judicial order suspending the declaration’s effect went into place quickly. But that case will wind its way up, to the highest echelons of our very conservative judiciary, and though the law is clear, the extent of the US supreme court’s willingness to abase itself for the sake of Trump’s whims is not. The Trumpist vision of the constitution, after all, is that it says whatever Trump wants it to say. And there are some in the judiciary who believe that their job is to create post-hoc rationalizations for why everything this president does it legal.

Is the justice department a mere accessory for Trump’s agenda? The Republicans seem to think so. But this is their vision of all government, now: as tools for the exercise of one man’s will. Trump’s vision of governance reminds me of nothing so much as the declaration attributed to Louis XIV: “L’état, c’est moi”: I am the state. There is a word for a government that runs this way, contorting itself merely to one man’s will. But that word is not “democracy”.
