Went on a solo hike today. Three hours of gorgeous lakes and steep mountains 😄

The video is the final stretch towards one of the peaks, and I apologize for the heavy breathing but the path up to this point was brutal.

Little Apache Trail, Lincoln National Forest, New Mexico

Elevation at trailhead: approximately 8,956 (elevation listed for the campsite the trailhead is next to)

3.2 miles. Elevation gain of 404 feet.

Time to complete: 2 hours 3 minutes

Difficulty rating on AllTrails: Easy

Rating: 8/10 (fun trail but not good for first mountain hike)

Notes: Had to stop a few times because it was my first mountain hike in years.

The Adirondacks - Kipp Mountain

The Adirondacks are a fan favorite for New York campers. My friend and I took a trip for her birthday and splurged on an AirBnb cabin.

We made our way up to the top of Kipp Mountain, which was an easy to medium level hike with an elevation gain of ~458 feet. The view was absolutely worth the sweat and it was a great way to spend a birthday.

Went for another hike yesterday, and it was a hot one... I'd intended to film the trickier climb up to the second peak, but slippery conditions made me feel the need to have both hands available, so you're getting this easier walk up to the first one instead. I need to get a GoPro.
