Moroccan Artists and The Medina of Essaouira
Moroccan Artists and The Medina of Essaouira
Mostafa Assadeddine The Medina of Essaouira seems to swallow people up when they’re exploring the twists and turns of its busy, colorful sidestreets, alleyways, and squares. The walled old town has walkable ramparts with ocean views and “imposing 18th-century gates (babs), including Bab Doukkala, Bab El Marsa, Bab Sba, and Bab Marrakech“. Place Moulay Hassan Square – My Essaouira Main squares…

Riad Dar Moulay Ali, Marrakech |Review on Tripadvisor
My review of Riad Dar Moulay Ali on Tripadvisor:
It's a few years ago now - but looking back, for our first time in Morocco, we couldn't have chosen a better location.
Certainly, we're beginning to get itchy feet for Morocco again now and are longing for a revisit.
Read my review here:
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g293734-d661356-r661385493-Dar_Moulay_Ali-Marrakech_Marrakech_Safi.html
If you read this review, don't forget to read those I wrote for the Le Caspien in the city district of Gueliz (also in Marrakech) and the Riad Nakhla in Essaouira - sadly, the latter wasn't up to our expectations, but perhaps if we had gone later in the year, rather than March, it may have been a whole lot different.

Born in 1645 in Sijilmassa, he was the son of Sharif ibn Ali, the Emir of Tafilalt and the first sovereign of the ‘Alawi dynasty. His lineage traced back to Hassan Ad-Dakhil, a 21st-generation descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Notably, his…
