Lenovo Legion Phone Duel – A new phone for core gamers
Tumblr media
Lenovo has introduced its first-ever flagship gaming smartphone – The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel. Though vested with all needed specifications, this new handset is clearly not for daily uses but intended for core gamers. The Legion Phone Duel competes directly with the Asus ROG Phone 3, which was launched the same date. The Legion phone has the following features;
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Specifications
This all-new gaming handset from Lenovo has a 6.65″ AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080p resolution. With a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, it has 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has no notches, as the phone shifts its front camera to sidewards, which seemed initially awkward. But that serves a different purpose. The phone runs on Android 10 based ZUI 12, which is Legion bloatware and has a range of software features to discuss.
The native skin includes horizontal UI, which is used to play a certain game and also interact with the other game behind. There are six customized layout themes, with each different interface elements, icons and colors.
Tumblr media
Moreover, it even lets you cast screen to a TV or a monitor and play a game. This can be operated by wireless peripherals or connected ones. This one of kind Softwares support was never seen before. We have to wait and see how much lag it creates in the gameplay.
Also Read: Moto G 5G Plus launched in UK with 5G, Quad cameras.
In the internals, Legion Phone Duel runs on Snapdragon’s latest 865+ SoC, which comes with Adreno 650 GPU and 5G support. Also, it has storage options up to 512GB of onboard storage and also RAM of up to 16GB! There’s no option to expand the internal storage due to lack of slot availability.
Regarding cameras, it packs a dual-rear setup as 64-megapixel (f/1.89) lens as the primary sensor and a 16-megapixel (f/2.2) lens as a secondary sensor that serves ultra-wide angle shots. Upfront, there’s a single 20-megapixel (f2.2) lens for selfies. But, the front camera and its placement at side plays a different role as per Lenovo.
Tumblr media
This pop-up front camera would come handy for streaming and also a broadcasting option to cast your content on YouTube or Twitch. Further, there are also four noise-cancellation microphones to let you record clean audio while streaming.
These features will hint you that it’s specifically made for gamers. Finally, it has all the required connectivities like 5G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C ports, and several sensors.
With an in-display fingerprint sensor, this handset has a pair of batteries, capable of 2500mAh each. And to charge them, Lenovo has set two USB ports at the bottom and side! These batteries if combined, gives an output of 5000mAh and support 90W fast charging! The company says it can power up the handset from 0-50% in just 10 minutes, and the first half in another 20 minutes.
Tumblr media
Pricing and Availability
The phone will be coming in Vengeance Red and Blazing Blue colours. It’s said the phone will be available in China initially later this month, and the global availability is yet to be revealed.
Lenovo has priced the handsets as below;
8GB + 128GB is priced at CNY 3,499 (~$499)
12GB RAM + 128GB is for CNY 3,899 (~$556)
12GB RAM + 256GB is for CNY 4,199 (~$599)
16GB RAM + 512GB is for CNY 5,999 (~$855)

Week 24 in review: PlayStation 5 hardware shown, Mi Band 5 is here
Welcome to your week’s recap. Amazingly the most popular device of the week wasn’t a phone but rather the Sony PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 5 will come in a sleek new white and black body meant to stand upright. It will be sold in a version with an optical 4K Blue-ray drive and a version without one, called PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.
We also saw a listing for the PS 5 on Amazon, citing a price tag of £599.99 ($760/€670). The next-gen console is due sometime in the second half of 2021.
Moving on to OnePlus and its first truly-affordable phone in years. The OnePlus Z’ specs and Indian price leaked – it will have a 6.55-inch SuperAMOLED with 90Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 765G with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 64MP camera plus a 16MP ultrawide, 4,300mAh battery and 30W charging. Pricing is a rumored INR 24,990 (~$330).
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5, the latest member of the best-selling fitness tracker family on the planet, was unveiled. It brings a bigger 1.1-inch OLED screen (the Mi Band 4 has a 0.95-inch screen), a new magnetic charger that finally doesn’t require you to take the tracker out of the band, 11 new tracking modes, a more accurate heart-rate sensor and the same great starting price – $26 for the non-NFC, $30 for the NFC model in China.
Motorola unveiled the One Fusion+. It’s a Snapradon 730-powered smartphone with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD of 1080p+ resolution. The 16MP selfie camera is tucked inside a motorized pop-up mechanism. On the rear there’s a fingerprint scanner and four cameras – a 64MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro units and a 2MP depth sensor. The One Fusion+ has a 3.5mm headphone jack but no NFC and a 5,000mAh battery that charges at 15W. The Motorola One Fusion+ will launch in Europe later this month and it will cost €300.
The other major release this week was the Xiaomi Redmi 9 with a Helio G80 chipset, 6.53-inch IPS LCD, 13MP main camera with a 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. The entry-level 3/32GB version costs €149, there’s also a 4/64GB for €179.
Those were the highlights of last week, the full list of hottest stories is below. See you in a week!

Friends, if we talk about the weight of this mobile phone, then it comes with 211 grams. Now let’s look at its design and display, then friends, you come down to the Speaker Grill, USB Type-C, microphone, and 3.5 mm jack.
