I slagged the Xbox version of Road Rage a couple issues ago, not for its blatant plagiarism of Crazy Taxi, but rather for its many gameplay issues. I kept my expectations low going into the GameCube version this month and saved myself the disappointment. This is the exact same game as its Xbox and PS2 counterparts, which means you'll still have to deal with irritating load times and janky collision detection problems (it's easy to get your car stuck on objects and buildings). What's worse is that RR still has very little in the way of depth. Like CT, the object is to make some dough by driving the denizens of Springfield around town. The faster you truck, the bigger the buck. But man, did these cats miss the point of CT or what? RR doesn't reward you for weaving through traffic, pulling off jumps or causing near-misses. In fact, there isn't much technique here at all. Leave out these moments of skill and all you've got is a very bland rip-off starring the cast of our most beloved animated series. Sorry Simpsons fans, this is not the game it could have been.

Updates~ because who doesn't like those (literally everyone)

I emailed my professor almost two weeks ago with my updates and he hasn't gotten back to me. I just emailed him again yesterday asking if he's had a chance to look at it, still hasn't responded. Normally I'd be whatever but it still has to go to the second reader and he was expecting me to have IRB approval by the 1st and all of this still needs to go through the dean and all those people and I'm just. UGH.

My project for another class is going horribly, the presentation for it is in less than a month and we've got nothing, all we know is what we're doing it on. I have to email people to get assessment manuals. We don't even know what assessments.

My phone went back to receiving less than half the phone calls made to it so I asked my parents if they'd pay for half of one for Christmas, they just bought the whole phone, no complaints there. So far I like it, I just got it this morning from Amazon. It's the Moto G4 Plus, camera is just as good as the G3 which for the most part is all I really care about (besides the fact that it receives all phone calls) since I use it on hikes and road trips. The only thing I don't like is that it heats up really fast if I'm playing a game on it. I also don't have a case yet so it's super awkward to hold since it's so thin. They also paid for it because my Grandma said they would pay for my plane ticket to see them during spring break so now I know for sure I get to go to Michigan in February and I'm so excited, I haven't been back there in 8years, I miss it.

My best friend is also planning on visiting me for a weekend in February so that's really exciting. My sister wanted to come up some time but she wanted to stay with me and it's just not possible with the number of people in the apartment and the fact that I don't have a spare blanket, I don't even have a comforter for myself, I have a fleece Batman blanket my fiancee got me for Christmas one year that I put a sweater on top of to make it heavier.

I still hate living with people, I really miss the studio I had in undergrad. I got to live by myself so I only had to worry about myself, my schedule, and everything was done my way, and I was also just down the hall from friends. I honestly didn't realize how many people in the world were naturally extremely loud who thought they were quiet. Like. No. You are extremely loud and wake me up from a dead sleep.

There is 27 days until I am home. I. Can't. Wait. I think it's also adding to my anxiety, because it's so close but there's so much in between now and then and it's not going fast enough.

The counseling center here only does short term counseling so I'm done with it when the semester is over, she wanted me to go to someone outside the school so I could get longer term but the prospect of having to figure out public transportation or how to walk there makes me extremely anxious so I would never go and just say I would. I definitely need longer term so once I'm done with school I'm going to get a referral for someone back home.

Which I don't know what my doctor's office is doing but they're doing something wrong because I've had to call them twice to ask them to re-send a referral for an allergist, I'm going to have to call again since I want it done during winter break so I can figure out what I need to stop eating to stop getting hives.

That was long and random but that is life lately. I've also started watching Christmas specials and listening to Christmas music.

Well, today I woke up and instantly regretted doing so because Thursday nights are the start of my workweek. I knew I was going to be walking into hell, and walk into hell I did. All night, I dreaded the conversation I was going to have with my boss because of how poorly we did on our inspection (all of which, honestly could be pinned on me because I was the manager on duty the night before), but it didn’t happen. I went through every possible scenario, had every single fight, thought about quitting to avoid the argument…but it never came. I was shocked, honestly. He’s always so quick to jump down my throat, so it was good to not have to throw hands with my boss.

🌀 –Favorite type of weather?

Judge me, but I love snow. I love when it’s about…thirty-six degrees outside and snowy. It’s not that bitter cold shit that crunches under your feet like a million people are simultaneously messing with Styrofoam, but that nice snow that shapes easily and is beautiful to look at. I love ice on power lines and bare tree branches. I fucking ADORE that good heap of snow on pine trees. Seeing furnaces working and watching chimneys go. I also really like the fact that business slows at work, but that’s another story.

Okay, so I just got an new phone, it was my dad's first though so it isn't extremely new. It's A red Moto G4 and my case is a purple and black. I didnt want it very much I really miss my old phone it was a black droid turbo with a black otter box that was broken in many many place and the screen was shattered but working flawlessly.
