Light of Motiram got announced and I feel like if I try to write the Pokémon/Palworld parody of a Transformers fic I had ideas for, it may seem like copying...again. Apparently, this new game is like Palworld but with machines and it's like "goddamn it, I was just about to make something similar..."

Do I dare write Spark of Starhaven though? It's not going to reflect well now that someone has done a similar premises. I had all the plots set up and everything, bosses and a system setup on how to get the Transformers...

Exactly. See how good black myth is doing? Ccp (china) believes it can do anything america does better than americans. So in this context.. It copies HZD and makes a more "modern" interpretation of it. Chinese people rejoice as they have their own chinese version of HZD and are very proud. Its more modern to 2024 than the original game . What this does is bring in actual HZD fans who end up playing the game and loving it despite it being a copy. China seeks to copy and best any standout game with a large existing fanbase. Remix/rehash/recycle and modernize it. By the time mainstream media complains about it it has already piwued interest of HZD fans and by that point nobody cares."

Sony está divulgando a “cópia de Horizon”

“Cópia de Horizon” tem trailers compartilhados pelas contas da PlayStation na China

A Tencent anunciou que Light of Motiram, jogo de mundo aberto muito similar a Horizon, será lançado para PS5, PC e dispositivos móveis. A revelação chamou atenção ao ser considerada um “clone” da franquia da Guerrilla Games, mas a PlayStation demonstrou apoio ao título, promovendo-o em plataformas chinesas como Weibo e Bilibili.

Apesar das comparações, a Sony parece não planejar ações legais e até celebra o título no PS5. Como o game é desenvolvido na China e tem o selo da Tencent, isso sugere até possíveis parcerias entre as duas editoras — lembrando que há um Horizon Online em produção e não sabemos como isso impactaria no sucesso do título.

Light of Motiram chegará em 2025, mas segue sem data!

Previsto para 2025, Light of Motiram será gratuito e permitirá crossplay desde o lançamento. Segundo a Tencent, o jogo oferece uma experiência multijogador cooperativa com suporte para até dez jogadores, proporcionando aventuras desafiadoras em um mundo dominado por “mecanimos”.

A jogabilidade, apresentada em um vídeo de 16 minutos, exibe elementos como exploração e combate que reforçam as semelhanças com Horizon. A descrição oficial convida jogadores a enfrentar desafios em equipe, destacando uma experiência fluida e acessível entre diferentes plataformas.
