#Most of DN is from Light’s pov and Light sees Misa as an idiot

Broke: Light and Misa have an unhealthy relationship because Light is manipulative of her and doesn’t love her. 

Woke: Misa and Light’s relationship is unhealthy on both sides. Yes Light uses her but Misa is fine with that in hopes that one day he’ll fall in love with her and she threatens to murder any girl around Light despite knowing Light uses women to cover up him being Kira and, unlike the majority of the characters in part one, does witness how manipulative Light can be so it’s not the women’s fault if Light uses them. 

Also maybe the reason Misa is so clingy to Light is because she knows he won’t pay any attention to her on his own unless he needs something from her.
