Szenen ohne Anfang, 2

Es ist wichtig, eins nach dem anderen zu machen, besonders jetzt, wo bald alles auf einmal passieren wird, Schreien und Milcheinschüsse und volle Windeln und dann noch der eigene Hunger, die Müdigkeit, Schlaf und Aufwachen. Ich spüre die Tritte des Babys, während ich die kleinen Strampler zusammenlege, aufrolle und dann in der kleinen Schublade im Schrank verstaue. Ich habe sie Anja genannt. 

Auf dem Sofa liegt ein unordentlicher Haufen weißer Stoff, aus dem ich Moskitonetze zu nähen versuche, für die Fenster, vor allem die im Schlafzimmer. Es ist noch so viel zu tun, bevor Anja sich entscheiden wird, diesen Bauch, diesen Körper auch mal von außen zu sehen, berühren zu wollen. Ein Baby ist wie eine Deadline, auf einmal erkennt man, was in der Wohnung nicht passt, noch getan werden muss, findet all die Dinge im Schrank, die man eigentlich schon seit Jahren auf dem Flohmarkt verkaufen will und für die in einigen Monaten definitiv kein Platz mehr sein wird. Man fragt sich, wo in den zwölf Quadratmetern Platz für eine Wiege sein soll und googelt jede Pflanze, um herauszufinden, ob sie giftig ist. Man muss sich eingestehen, die Namen der Pflanzen nicht einmal alle zu kennen, obwohl man sich auf Instagram stolz #plantmom nennt. Man verrät niemandem, dass man Google Lens benutzen musste und lernt nebenbei die Namen der Pflanzen auswendig, inklusive ihrer Vorlieben: Sonne oder Schatten? Viel Wasser oder wenig? Sandige oder lehmige Erde?

Man stellt die Pflanzen, von denen man nun weiß, dass sie giftig sind, auf Facebook Marketplace online und schreibt dazu, dass sie giftig ist, damit Hunde- und Katzenbesitzerinnen (und natürlich Eltern von Krabbelkindern) vorgewarnt sind. Man macht den Leuten auf, die sie abholen und streicht unbewusst mit einer Hand über den Bauch, und mit den Monaten kommen immer öfter Kommentare, die mal ein Gefühl von Verbindung, mal Abneigung hervorrufen.

Und man beginnt auf einmal, Moskitonetze zu nähen, per Hand, obwohl man a) sehr einfach und kostengünstig welche im Internet bestellen könnte, und b) eine (gut funktionierende) Nähmaschine besitzt. Stich für Stich nähe ich das Netz, das Anja davor bewahren soll, riesige juckende Stiche zu ihrer ersten Kindheitserinnerung zu zählen. 

Stich für Stich lenke ich mich davon ab, dass ich alleine bin.

This is the first time I draw most of these characters! Also the first time I draw Mr. Dark with his Rayman 1 design. I particularly struggled with Mr. Skops and Space Mama but I hope it looks alright!

Part 1!!

^Mr. Dark and his very normal children <3 Raymesis is a clone made from the other half of Lums Rayman was supposed to be made of and raised to be a relentless superweapon. Dark Rayman (Rayman M) is a failed clone that used the "essence" of Electoons in his creation. Ray-louette is completely unrelated to Mr. Dark, but he's supposed to mirror Shadow Rayman from Legends, so he belongs here, too. Instead, he was created by Orc Hestraway, one of Mr. Dark's Admirers (and a parallel to one of Ales Mansay's clones).

^Tily and Ly the Fairy! Tily is Ly's sister whom she departed from (along with the rest of her family) to see what was beyond Prhys, and Tily happens to have become a massive Rayman fan after news spread of his feats. She gets to meet Ly once again during the Rayman M chapter, only to be met with the surprise that she's friends with her idol.

^Rayman and Ssssam meet up again years after the Robo Pirates' end! This time, he comes bearing friends.
