Finished the annihilators-

I don’t really have much to say about this one, not in any good or bad sense I just can’t think of anything. To say. Lol. I’ll probably find more stuff later. Anyway, I loved this because Liz was in it!! This is the first third dr audio I’ve listened to (barring Deathworld) so it was interesting. The end commentary discussed how it was styled like a s7-serial which I definitely felt, and that was really interesting because aside from Liz, season 7 was quite a slog for me. I loved the brig & UNIT interacting but just combining really long 70s-stories with my very fresh grief over Two was not fun lol. So this sorta made me realize that like, in audio format, it was a LOT easier to process & stay attentive to the story, because I could physically do other things - tasks or walking from place or drawing - while still engaging with a long story. That made it a lot more digestible and interesting than if it were tv format so that was fun!!

Second up is the plot to address. The aliens didn’t feel toooooo interesting & they got less interesting as more stuff was revealed especially since the ending was kind of obvious, but it wasn’t awful I’m just being picky here since I have a higher standard for bigfinish haha. I think the ending tailed off a bit longer than it needed to, and could have fit in nicely to end before reliving the beginning.

The side characters were really fun!!! I enjoyed UNIT interacting with the police a LOT and the voices were all great.

Finally the elephant in the room…Jamie!!!!!! I did only listen to this audio because I was picking through my spreadsheet and comparing it with a list of Jamie’s appearances before realizing I hadn’t added the Annihilators to it! So I was very excited for the Jamie part of this story. It was fun to listen to him interact with Liz, and while he got limited time with Three, given the timing of this audio & that they had to be cautious not to spoil the upcoming 2DA s6b line of that summer, I’m very happy with what it allows. The Second Doctor was interesting in their discussions with the Third just because like ,, generally having MORE knowledge than Three made Two seem older/wiser etc., and Three being SO out of their depth was fun because it shows how far Two will fall once s6b inevitably ends (maybe fun isn’t the right word.) but I love the “save yourself” route bigfinish is taking because that is & will always be my favorite s6b story. Short and sweet and OW OW OW OW and absolutely AMAZING for defining and clearing a path to all of the things Two will do, and how it all fits into the vague storm cloud of Doctor Who canon.

Number ratings are stupid so I won’t give one overall but for the aliens 5/10, the s6b elements 4/5, and the individual characters 10/10!

yoo the last 911 episode of s6 truly was rushed, especially at the end! that call and the after effects should have been at least two episodes, just to make things feel less abrupt at least imo :( the whump was nice, and i liked seeing the team being in danger but still badass, but i would have liked to see more of the recovery part as well... granted, the show often skips those scenes and decreases my enjoyment with it, so i'm used to it and not surprised at all. it was very obvious that they thought this might be the show's finale tho, with how everybody was given a happy end like that.

overall, i think many enjoyed s6b? it got some really lovely stuff. but a lot of things were not addressed later on – buck's struggle after his death, for example. it felt so ominous at first but then amounted to nothing much tbh. i assume they'll try to smooth things out in s7 to make up for all the balls they have dropped in their rush to wrap up the characters' stories somehow. the only people i saw who had a bad time or were truly angry at the end were buddie shippers, but most of that frustration stems from their own too-high expectations and too-wild theories and not the show imo.

i agree with pretty much all that you said here, looking back it does feel like a nice wrapping up a bow and things that they were looking for but so many things were left unsaid/felt unfulfilled. i've put a lot of my thoughts under a cut because i've got loads!

big mentions:

Buck's character arc or lack of: I was super impressed by the amount of reflection/scenes that they showed of Buck just figuring out who he is and you're right, 6b was way better for him especially. His whole relationship with his parents improving was so beautiful and felt like we as an audience earned it. His relationship with Taylor was honestly painful at times so it was like the writers finally realised that and had him made stupid decisions up until it was over because ... Buck's Stupid dada! I feel like the writers swing from: hey he's the young fun dumb one let's have him randomly cheat and not have a sofa and be silly to ok maybe it's time for buck to grow up! But it comes across quite clumsily. After the lightning strike I was expecting some sort of change in him but nothing actually ... happened? And I think that speaks to a lot of the characters. Big life changing things happen and you think oh this will be a turning point and then ... nothing at all changes. I really thought Buck's level of authority and leadership during 6x18 was gearing up for Bobby to say well done kid you are a leader ... you know ... to show some growth? But that didn't happen. His relationship with Natalia is what I'm assuming is meant to be a Serious Relationship because it seems that way but honestly who knows! Season 7 could easily start off with Buck like meh it didn't work out.

The bridge collapse: So so exciting, it felt really high stakes and I liked how you could kind of tick off who was safe and who was not as you went through. But then ... nothing happened? Nothing at all. Bobby was literally trapped under heavy rock and he was cool, Chimney was impaled (not one joke made about the first famous impalement!) and he was fine, Eddie's back was literally crushed under a fridge and he was fine! Hen was like hmm I need a CT scan and then was fine. Literally right up until the credits were rolling I was sure something was going to be wrong with at least one of them! But again, you're right about them wanting to give them a nice ending. It was just odd to see the Disney-fest ending twenty minutes after everyone in mortal danger.

Athena's dad episode: ABSOLUTE stand out of the whole season. It felt like something out of a movie, it was amazing and I really really enjoyed it all. You could tell thought had been put into the episode and I loved how it fed into Athena's life. It was dark, devasting but so gripping to watch.

Character driven stories: I feel like strong character driven stories are 911s strength and also its drawback in so many ways. This season felt so slow at times. The two episodes leading up to the finale were ... very very slow. Hardly anything actually happened. One of the reasons why was because it just showed the same group of characters talking about the same situation/thing: Chimney proposing. Yes it was great to see normal/real life conversations happening about it all but I found myself thinking: omg just do it or don't let's move on. And that's about my favourite little family on the show. Sometimes the writing stretches the characters and their motives/decisions so far that it leaves you exhausted/drained completely. Like considering every single angle of a situation and then ultimately reaching a decision just left me like: thank God that's over rather than oh that's nice that it's now resolved. A similar thing happened with Buck having loads of different scenes talking about nearly dying. It was so great to see a young man discussing his feelings so openly but there were times where I was like: is this driving any plots forward? Is Buck going to change his life in any way? No probs not. Therefore this is pointless. Speaking of pointless ...

Hen not becoming a doctor: I ... yeah. I have no idea why they decided to completely drop something Hen as a character and therefore we as an audience have been waiting for/journeying alongside for so long. I actually laughed out loud when she told Karen she was OK with being a firefighter. The montages we saw were endless! I think I said it already in an ask but they could have made something really interesting with Hen being a doctor, showing the crew hand over a patient and then having Hen treat them. We could see the other side of it all. The extension to the first responders. But instead they had Hen do a 180 which I'm assuming was mainly because of the adoption/fostering idea ending which was not even discussed! It deserved to have more than one conversation so the audience didn't have whiplash. It just left me thinking: this is all very very pointless!

The evil paramedic: I thought this was really great, it was a twist and interesting but I was bummed that it was wrapped up so quickly. Hen had a feeling at the end of an episode and by the next it was over. The pacing of that should have been longer and I don't think the show needed Maddie in the same situation with someone from the call centre basically also being dodgy, it felt repetitive.

Hopes for S7:

Maddie and Hen's wedding! One of the highlights of the season was seeing them back together and seeing their families together. It felt really special to have the message of: you can be broken and then heal and deserve to be loved. So more of them

Sorting out what they want from Buck as a character and Eddie as a character respectively. I love Buck's youngest child energy in the crew but seeing him mature and take more responsibility would be cool

Less in-depth I now know everything about a character I've just met from this emergency because they've shown me their life in a series of flashbacks. I just ... don't care! In one episode it literally took up a solid 10mins and I was just thinking: I'm never seeing you again, this is taking time away from characters I actually enjoy

Some big shift in dynamics. I'm not sure what but I feel like the whole crew are pretty ... set and stuck in their roles and I'd like to see something shake it up somwhow.

TW 6b Ep Titles 6x11-6x15 6x11 "Spider to the Fly" —— 6B Premiere —— (6x11 will have a separate post) Onto the newest new stuff: 6x12 "Raw Talent" - Guessing this will introduce Ms. Monroe and possibly the Pitchforks along with showing allegiances or loyalties to Gerard. - Potentially introduces new supernatural characters that Scott, Deaton, Lydia or even Brett/Satomi's pack have met over break, or take under wing when SHTF. 6x13 "After Images" ** --> Directed by Tyler Posey. - Seems like the majority of 6b Trailer comes from 6x13, starting with the Library stabbing scene. - 'After Images' are the shapes or patterns that remain in your visual memory after the initial image is taken away. - In S5, people in BH started to see and admit that not all was what it seemed, and not everyone was human. Those images remain with people, and they seem justifiably afraid. - "after-images" are also sometimes called 'tracers' and result from an eye-brain delay in tracking, usually experienced when exposed to certain psychedelic or hallucinogenic substances. - Scott in the 6b Trailer seems drugged, with this effect shown on-screen. 6x14 "Face-to-Faceless" ** --> Directed by Linden Ashby. - 'Face to face' usually is used when discussing terms of a meeting, but can be an idiom about boldly addressing fears or challenges, also a way to imply cowardice when an opponent refuses to remove a mask, step into light or otherwise continues to remain unknown ala 'Mano E Mano' [hand to hand, ref. to the tapping of fists boxers would perform prior to the fight] - This term is never used in a non-confrontational manner or when the meeting is friendly; it is specific to aggression and challenges, and adds dual layer of demanding honesty from the other party. - In the 6b trailer, we see Sheriff outside BCSD facing Monroe & some of the Pitchforks. We also hear and see things implying other confrontations, so don't be surprised if Sheriff/Monroe is joined by Gerard/Chris/Scott, Halwyn/Parrish/Lydia, etc. - 'The Faceless' is tlone of the 6b Big Bads, the seemingly skinless creature with questionably stable facial, lack of visible mouth (and if my glimpse of xray is correct, it is actually lacking a mandible, teeth and intercrannial ENT system) with standout features being glowing purple eyes. - I can see this leading into the Eichen fights, as in Eichen we see Sheriff in civvies. 6x15 "Pressure Test" - As you'd expect, a pressure test does exactly that: increases strain on a system gradually until failure occurs. Overinflating a tire, overclocking a computer, blocking steam valves on an active boiler.... if it says 30psi, that isn't the fail point. You keep going to 35psi, 40psi, 45psi, 50psi, until catastrophic failure. Boom. - This /could/ be a reference to several things happening at once, not just individual things: — Melissa McCall and her ill appearance in 6b trailer. She is definitely a pressure point for almost everyone on the OShit!bubble : Scott, Sheriff, Chris Argent and Lydia (and Stiles, who I am guessing we hear from via phone in 6x14 and/or 6x15) moreso than the others, but Peter, Deaton, Natalie and the remaining Pack 2.0 know how crucial Melissa is to the first few and will react accordingly. - If Melissa is the "pressure test" (or one of them), this could be calling out the emotional ties she has AND be alluding to a test she is herself undergoing or a topical callout to blood pressure, etc. — Eichen House Breakout 2.0 The Redeux - Last one out turns off all the lights? But seriously, if 6x15 is where we see Sheriff, Lydia and Parrish taking down opponents in Eichen, it could be a time crunch, a barricade or even, oddly enough, a jailbreak. Peter Hale, is that where you are? — Obviously Beacon Hills entire, but I thought I should add it just in case. [NOTE: I may be updating this post and will include an #Update and ETA here.]

My Take OUAT Villains Part 1

Regina - An intimidating personality with softer side and capability of empathy and selflessness . She was a fine mom before Henry started to see that she was a mean boss of the town . Then she became more strict with him BUT when fairytale stuff came to play , she became a  bad parent and she almost became her mom when her magic returned before she realised that she has done too much evil  .  He was not a good son either . As EQ , she was a  feared villain with max body count ONSCREEN not OFFSCREEN . I assume that there may be only few who outdid her .  She has a life full of crap and is a pawn of others all the time before she  came back to being a hero . She is a better hero than Emma and as good as Snowing .  She is only villain who used to be a hero .Regina as a hero is even more dangerous adversary than EQ . Unlike other villains , she and Rumple did true to resist temptation for evil  until Rumple himself made things worse . As a villain , she is delusional . She is  the most scary of them all but there can be villains as bad as her or WORSE  . She has crossed many lines BUT if there are some lines she won’t cross . I doubt she would like to have a child with David to piss Snow .

Rumple - A complicated guy whose favorite passtime is creating villains out of his students . He was a coward BUT he was also a father . He is incredibly selfish and makes big plans  when he can achieve his goal by smaller plans as well , a trait also seen in his students . He was a teacher of Regina for a longer time and made sure of the fact that she became a monster . WEmmaonce said about WRumple that he may be razing villages so , it is safe to say WRumple did stuff like that in the past since I doubt he would be razing villages in lockup  for 30 years . If WRumple did that so , it means real Rumple also did it . I doubt Rumple raped people BUT he  tricked them  . I think he stopped mass murder when  Belle was around but continued with being a trickster  and mastermind . He was relatively saner than Regina sometimes since he used brains more than she did as a villain . As a hero Regina was the saner one .  I think that Charmings were too nice to him in S2 and too mean to Regina in S2 . In S4 , they were really nasty to him BUT they were not heroes nor villains that season . He became likeable in S6B AND S7 . He did have lesser pain than Regina since spinsters were actually  nice guardians  to him and he was not always that much troubled  and tortured

Cora- Deliciously evil woman who cares for her daughter BUT her morals warped with Rumple's shadiness is what  is really what turned Regina evil . She made her daughter's life way worse than hers and Rumple's . She scared the hell out of me BUT I was sad when she died . UW Cora was more likeable .  I remember her as a redeemed villain than a hero.  She was more cunning than Regina and as cunning than Rumple . If she lived longer than Rumple , she would have been worse .  Also S3 shows her daughter Regina as her own antihesis .  She is literally heartless and sees love as weakness . Voldemort anyone ?

Hook - He was fine in S2 and WHook was likeable in S7 BUT from S3-7 , org Hook was all about Emma and CS . He lived longer than Regina , Cora and Zelena so , he should be as bad or worse BUT they whitewashed him SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH that even Snow's half heart had more darkness than that in S3 and in S6 . He himself talked about destroying villages in his song  and it shows that he is as bad as the Mills ladies . He likely was into rape and he had many one night stands that even Regina would be aghast .  Also his revenge is not justified or reasonable and it makes Cora look justified in hating Eva and Regina reasonable for hating Snow. It was he who separated Rumple and Milah and then in S5-6 he acted that Rumple was worse . Regina had really good reason to loathe Rumple  yet it never looked like that she was in mood to dance on his grave since she believed that life is precious .  He was also a homewrecker .  I think that he is worse than Rumple and can be as bad as Cora . His DO self showed us his true evilness . At least Regina would be trying to restrain herself from all that  DOness .   He did not take time to become a  full fledged villain as compared to Regina , Cora  and  Rumple .  It took him seconds to do that .  He was definitely done dirty in later seasons . I still love HOOK’ s past self more . 

Greg and Tamara - WHY ? They are foreigners  . They do not make sense to me  . Other villains have done way more evil  than they can dream of though they were almost  about to commit mass murder  BUT they are delusional .

Pan - IDK how many he killed, how much evil he did  BUT apparently , he  must have done a lot of that . Even Hook finds him demonaic and treacherous (although he did the same for Rumple ) . He was more twisted than all the others  mentioned before .  He utterly lacks any decency . He seems to be vain , self seeking  , power hungry  , immortality loving , uncaring , callous person  . If he succeeded , even Cora and Hook would  look  tame and humane .He is a  narcissist . Its like Disney Mother Gothel , Disney Ursula and our  Rumple together as one person . He was not only an evil power seeking overlord like Rumple and Cora but also he  was sick  and awful . He was both terrifying and terrible .  It was the best  culmination of fairytale evil with real life evil .

 Zelena - She makes me like Pan sometimes . At least Pan , Cora , Regina , Rumple and Hook did not start the system of brands . According to her  villainy needs to be branded like footwear and clothes . She  is  awfully competitive. In fandom she aroused a need of debating on who is more powerful . Every time she boasts  about being more powerful , she needs to be punched on her face . OMG Regina literally did that .  She branded herself as wicked and branded her sister as evil . She  does not terrify me BUT she is perhaps the most devious one of all . For someone who has undergone pain , she sounds like a spoilt brat  who whines like all the time . Everytime Regina is tired of her life problems , it looks like that she is in pain . In S2  Regina did a lot of whinning BUT she did not sound like this  sick brat . Regina did seem like someone who has undergone a lot of crap  .  I think that Zelena as a spoilt princess of Oz who was pissed about her true heritage  and ditched her adoptive family and killed them would make more sense and would do justice to her S3-5A personality . In 5B-7 , her softer side was apparently a bit forced and so was her new relationship with Regina but it was more true to her backstory  and her S3-5A self BUT it was like having Regina in earlier seasons back sometimes .  Her  WWW wardrobe should beas good as EQ’s . She should also have more hairstyles as WWW . I think that Zelena is also arrogant and narcissistic as compared to anyone else . She is incredibly self obsessed .   Regina was a mass murderer and rapist  . Rumple was self serving , selfish and power hungry  magic addict . Hook was a s*x addict  and a mass murderer   . Cora was a power loving mass murderer and a heartless .  Pan was relatively less self obsessed .  Quite many seem to come from a sadder place BUT she looks life she came from a posh life . Even young Snow and young Eva were not that bratty even though they are actual brats . Her rape of Robin to have a child with him to piss Regina shows how twisted she is . She also feels like an awkward addition since   she has never said the iconic villainous line , “LOVE IS WEAKNESS .”  She tries to outdo REGINA so , she must have tried to be more evil  and she must have killed even more since she is like Regina killed 1 guy , I would kill 10 . 

Ingrid - A short term villain but she was basically another Regina . She was also xenophobic towards muggles due to her bad experiences but later , she came to her senses . She was an unintentional succcessful attempt at making another  EQ and Cora . I wish she stayed longer . We also got a dark Elsa . Her subtelty  was awesome  . She was basically my fav beside Rumple , Regina and Cora .  I still wish if Regina was one of the people she wanted as a sister along with Emma since I do not want  Emma to be left behind either . She is way better than Zelena . I think she should be nicer to memory of Helga at least . 

Maleficent - We heard things about her more than we actually saw her do stuff .  Since Regina has more  some traits of Org Maleficent than her .  Kristen did a fine job with her and did make her scary in the way Mitchel made Ingrid scary . BUT I never saw her interrupting gatherings . Regina did that one .  I never saw her  plotting and being cruel . I never got the mistress of Evil . I never saw the woman she really was  when it came to Briar Rose. What was her foul temper like ? She was redeemed quickly .  I think I was better off with one redeemed Maleficent and now there were 2 of them  .  I wanted her evil at larger scale .  Maleficent did show some wickedness in S4 and it was awesome  BUT I think I preferred REGINA , CORA , HOOK , RUMPLE  , INGRID and even ZELENA level villainy  . Maleficent , these are the experts  .   Maleficent was  more a victim than a villain . Most of others were both . She may be a fine chracter BUT she was a poor villain . 

Ursula - Don’t ask . She hardly came in before she went away . 

Cruella- This is a good villain . Only born EVIL person besides Pan before 6*19 came up . She is better than Zelena and Maleficent  combined . I would love to see Cruella at her worst . I think this character demanded to be explored more .  She does not have standards at all . She tries her best to be the evilest  and can succeed . No wonder Issac had to stop her .  We can only imagine that her villainy would be the worst of worst . 

Issac - He is soo sick and awful . Can’t say anything more . He is rebirth of Greg and Tamara who are just meh . 

Dark Swan - What is this monstrosity ? I would prefer Zelena  and Maleficent over this . Apparently , I think “Black Swan” would be better  than what this name is  . And also , we all hoped that Emma would dabble into some Cora , Rumple , Regina , Past HOOK and Ingrid level EVIL and have a maniacal laugh .  We may have had EQ back . It would be good to see Snowing’s faces when Emma becomes New EQ . We wanted mental issues , rage problems , broken heart , betrayal problems , trust issues , past issues  driving her mad . Trying to convince WickedGoldenHookedQueen to join her in her delicious rampage with only Zelena joining her . Zelena the brat and Black Swan a psycho  teaming up  . BUT instead we got an unhealthily obsessed woman who got Robin Hood killed unintentionally . SHE MADE DARK HOOK .  She caused mayhem in Camelot and Storybrooke just because of Hook ? If it was really her , she would have let Hook die instead of making him DO .And after she stops being Dark Swan ,she drags her family to UW ? What is this ? High level character assasination . OH WAIT , Emma’s potential for darkness , her capacity to be Evil lies with Lily . Why they made her Darknessless . It makes sense that she is not that evil  . I think this should be resolved .  In my headcannon , she got the potential for evil back when she was sent to WR since In WR Cruella never left  so ,  WR Maleficent never lost Lily so , WR Emma still has darkness . If they continuede , we could have had Evil Emma back . For now , Dark Swan is terrible , not terrifying . I find her name Emma ironical now since she is not whole .

My thoughts so far.  vvv

I noticed some fans quit TWD early on like in s6 and they mentioned the flaws. They have good points and all. I wondered why I kept watching TWD. I think because it’s just one of the cool shows to watch on Sundays, and just loving the TF. I also think if I’m more critical of the show, I would probably quit the show around s3 or s6 too. Idk if it’s comic story way that made people lose interest or it’s the writing. Like a lot people miss the team family being really close and trying to survive..or on the road and not staying in one place. These comments are like what the comic-fans say too about the comics. So idk. Like it’s just how TWD story goes. Building up to a new world ..arc. (like Falling Skies show?) So, my point is that I didn’t quit back then because I just like the show and I was also was like hoping the show could turn around. I liked s6B. I find it interesting that Carol went to Kingdom and dealing with her issues. Richonne happend and Negan was introduced. (big character in comics) I was curious how it will go and I was curious what Carl will do. I know s7 and s8, the fandom didn’t like those seasons-AOW arc. I kinda don’t like it either. It was so dragged out and less TF. But I still like the show. I still feel hopeful that it will go better.

 When Carl died (and he wasn’t like comic-Carl-y, imo like I hoped for) that was hard, but I was like okay so then it’s Rick’s show and I guess Michonne will live longer. AOW ended in s8. S8B was entertaining to me, imo. But I hated the finale and what they did with Carol. The finale should have been like or even better than the s2 finale and tease us the f*** with what will happen and excite us. (remember Michonne first appearance and prison. s3 also had a time jump) Then we got a new showrunner and news about LC and with the finale being so blah & hard to predict, I was like uhh it’s 50/50 chance of the show being better than before. Maybe more Team Family moments? I was still hopeful. We got those spoiler pics of TWD cast like they’re in a parade and them going to the “museum.” I got so excited again and hopeful but a bit conscious about it because Idk what s9 was. Then suddenly we got the AL news of him leaving ( and then LC). I just felt crushed. We lost Carl and now we’re losing Rick, the two big protagonists of the show. That’s just quick and weird. Also totally seems pointless for the show to keep going,imo. (but hey at least Rick got like 2 years of bliss/timejump). I know he wanted to leave some day (duh actors arnt robots)  but I wasn’t expecting how it goes like that and it’s just not what I want. I wanted this popular show to end where they wanted it to end. Like Lost, Scandal, Fringe, GoT, etc. But no...show business..life happens or whatever, AMC wants more money. So yeah I lost hope on the show - I quit with this show. So this is why I kept going till s9, I guess. It’s whatever whenever is enough for you. Now I look back on it, it’s really around s5-6 when we feel like TWD is Team Family like and good or fun to watch. There’s some things I liked about TWD that other shows don’t have. Like this slow pace..that feels realistic sometimes, the music, and cast. But seeing other shows, I’m like wow ..we know who are the main characters are and they interact a lot throughout the series. It’s sad. I miss TF.

So yeah I just take s9 as an AU story where Rick dies. -_- I hope Caryl goes canon but well the show is like done to me. So Idk. I would watch or care..if Caryl goes canon and everything else is interesting and TF being close again. Like it’s gonna be Carol and Daryl ..Michonne? and rest are Negan, Aaron, Rosita, Eugene and Tara. meh. It’s hard what do with this. In time I know. So far, s9 just sucks. C/E is gonna be or is canon. I just like siiiigh. I wish Carol isn’t with anyone in s9. I want to know who is Carol in the future and have her with TF again. But it’s not that. Carol with Zeke for some reason. Idk  why tease Caryl in s8 and not make C/E canon in s8???? Maybe Carol is just to prop Zeke story and comic death in s9??? That’s another thing. There’s this original TWD show story and characters’ arcs and comic book remixes. I think what we want is balance of those two. But lately s7 and on it’s all super plot-y or super comic book-plot-y. So maybe Zeke dies and then Carol helps Daryl to start the Whisperer war and then ..then what? Will we actually get more TF moments? If Caryl does become canon, will their romance be well written and interesting? (Shipping a non-canon ship to a canon ship changes the shipdom/fandom. People lose interest.)

---filming spoilers and spec in s9

So ep 5 or so, s9 filming spoilers, it’s obvious Rick dies. So right there the show isn’t gonna do a cool happy ending for Rick and the Grimes. No Grimes family off to a boat or Commonwealth. Now, I know. :( Poor Michonne. (writers totally screwed up her character-journey)

 Based on spoilers, there’s a white horse (symbolism), that script paper.., Shane appearances. So yeah there’s some over the top death scene happening. Idc in some ways, because this is all AU to me. (twdspoilers4theprivileged tumblr) Based from the script paper spoiler/rumor, I noticed that Carol is there..actually the main five characters are there. It’s nice ..but once again it’s when something major happens. It seems like Rick takes the other parts of comic-Andrea’s death. He dies by trying to kill all the walkers in the herd ...to save his people(?) like Andrea did. It also seem traumatic too, our main characters are watching it as it goes. Like damn ..who wanna see that  super sad and depressing death of a character in this ep. Like sure ..Rick deserve this kind of death scene and how important and special he is. But ...it’s not a series finale and writers will forget about this in a couple episodes later with Daryl dealing with Negan and Whisperers, I guess. *Also I guess Zeke wasn’t there..and others. So it’s like Zeke isn’t or still not important in the show. So ..maybe he will die from Alpha in msf or finale in s9. I just think if Zeke will be a main character, then he gotta hang out with Daryl  and others,a lot. (so far he’s in ep1. so far Carol in ep 1 and 5..) Idk what Maggie will do / LC’s 6 episodes. There’s some play with time. Maybe Maggie dies in msf?

Yeah Carol so far is in ep 1 and 5. I don’t think she interacts with Rick in s9. I find it important for her to interact with him. It tells me writers remember their bond, care about the character Carol, and what they do with TF. So far, it’s seems like they don’t. This is the part that really upsets me..it’s something also that I was really hoping for in s9 and something to see if it will happen-then the rest s9 will go fine. I love Carick so ..yeah I don’t think there’s good Carick moments in s9 and I think Carol will only react about Rick’s death. Writers ..again don’t care or too lazy to deal with TF moments and Carol and her bonds with other characters. So, it’s like if writers can’t do Carick scenes so then s9/new showrunner doesn’t matter to me anymore. It’s over. Those Carick hopes or Carol hopes were all before AL news, btw. That s8 finale made me doubt.

I might accept TWD s9 and Rick’s death, if like the first 6 episodes or so was treated like a series finale and it was something writers/Gimple have in mind for a long time and that they wanted Rick to die in ‘series finale’. And then the rest be like a spin-off and plus being more character-y..good writing. But  eh. We still see characters dealing with his death and other plots going on. It just won’t work, I guess. But right now, I’m like it’s all AU, idc. TF are close and Grimes family lives on.

So, now that im like ‘whatever’ with the show or try to.., i wanna point out the flaws more lately. But it’s stuff we already know. It’s really crazy to watch TWD s8 and then watch the recent season (s5) of The 100 and how much The 100 flows better, character’s arcs goes naturally well or balanced. It’s not too (comic)plotty. And ofc, there’s girls power, and character interactions. Mains still interact. That stuff that I like and interested in.  I know they’re different shows. I think TWD is probably more like Falling Skies with how the story goes but it’s not really charactery..in story right now.

Moving from Devenford prep to Beacon hills was hard; mainly because of a certain someone but it wasn’t anything serious, so I knew I had to get over it.  I had moved before all these hunters started coming and before all this mess.  I wasn’t a supernatural creature; I am just human Y/n, who got into all this supernatural stuff not too long ago. I guess befriending the McCall pack has its positives and negatives but honestly this has gave me the best friends I could ever ask for. Right now we’re sitting in a pack meeting discussing the recent finding of the shot hellhound. “It’s a new hunter in town killing supernatural creatures, it’ll only be a matter of seconds until we’re found and killed, and by we’re I mean you since I’m human” I say freaking out, they killed a hellhound, this hunter isn’t messing around. “But they are new to hunting, so that may give us an edge on them”.   Scott states trying to be positive, even in this situation. “Amarture or not, this hunter killed the unkillable” Lydia says, everyone thinking of what to do. “We may need to call for backup, and I know exactly who to call”

“No, not him!” I exclaim once hearing who the certain backup call is.  “What do you mean not him? Do you even know who he is?” Stiles asks, everyone probably wondering the same. “You’re talking about Brett, Brett Talbot? The jerk of the century? Well if you are then yes, I know who he is” I roll my eyes; I cannot believe that I’m going to be seeing this jackass again. I moved to Beacon Hills because of my parents and got hung up in all this supernatural chaos, the last thing I’d ever expect is to find out the guy I’ve been hooking up with back at Devenford is a werewolf. “Well of course she knows Brett, she moved from Devenford” Liam pipes up. Of course I knew Liam from our previous school, but we never really talked or hung out with the same group so we didn’t know each other well, until now. “It’s settled, I’m going to call Satomi tomorrow morning to see if they have any more information on these hunters” Scott states as everyone stands up ready to leave. I sigh standing up as well, we do need some back up and Intel on these hunters if we don’t want to die, I just hope that this is over quickly and Brett can go back to Devenford where I will never see him again. 

Oh the dreadful walk down the hallway on a Monday morning, I didn’t get much sleep last night because I knew people were learning more and more about the supernatural each day. This fear is going to get worse and next thing we know and don’t need is everyone turning on us which is already starting to happen. I stop at my locker looking around seeing Liam and Mason walk down the hall as people huddle, whisper and stare.  This is so not good, I quickly grab my books, closing my locker and hastily walking to the pair of best friends. “This is so not good” I state quietly once I reach them. “You don’t think we know that?” Liam harshly says, all of us keeping quiet since most eyes are on us. “We need to think of something like asap” Mason says while we stop at his locker. “Is Satomi’s pack coming?” Mason asks while getting his books. ”Pretty sure, Scott called them this morning and I think they’ll be here tomorrow at the latest” Liam answers, his eyes darting around. Another problem to add to my list great, I’ll be seeing the infamous face of Brett Talbot tomorrow. “Don’t look now but Nolan and Gabe are coming over” I say as I casually peak over Liam’s shoulder seeing the two males striding over with smirks on their faces.  As I finish my sentence Liam and Mason, not so subtly looks turn around to look, making me mentally face palm. They quickly whip back around, Liam with a scared and helpless look. “Idiots, I said not to look; now we surely don’t look suspicious at all… Hey guys! What’s up?” I exclaim as they stood right behind my two friends. “Hey Y/n, Mason… Liam. We need to have a little friendly chat with your buddy Liam” Gabe says. Have a ‘little friendly chat’ my ass, more like we want to kill your buddy Liam and everyone else you’re friends with. “Oh well he can’t, we do have places to be, classes to attend” Mason smiles trying to steer us away but they just move with us and block the path. “Uh… First period starts in about half an hour” Nolan says after checking the time on his phone. We are so screwed, also if you were wondering why we’re at school so early, it’s because we wanted to come up with a plan of what we are going to do today and how to avoid situations like this. An Idea popped into my head, and I guess it would have to do since we don’t have any other plans. “Li, stall them as long as you can okay?” I say barely audibly but I know the only person who can hear it is Liam, to others it looked like I was just mumbling. “What was that Y/L/N?” Gabe asks with that smug smirk never leaving his face, oh how I wanted to punch these two. “I just remembered I actually need to go to the office, Ms Martin had something to tell me.” I lie and smile. “What are you doing? Do not leave” I hear Liam say as he moved closer to me.  “I’ll see you later guys!” I shout as I walked the hallway again. “Trust me, I got this. Just stall” I whisper once my back was to them and a few feet away.  I speed walk until I’m in front to the principle office doors, I knock a few times and without waiting for an answer I burst in the room startling Ms Martin. “Can you please put an announcement on for Liam and Mason, just say they’re needed at the office” I ask quickly. “What? Why?” She asks confusedly. “Please it need to be quick, it’s some life or death supernatural issue” I say, I might of over exaggerated the problem but oh well because it might just become life or death if this continues. Ms Martin looks at me then starts walking over to the P.A system, I smile as this may just work. “Mason Hewitt and Liam Dunbar please report to the office” She announces, I can imagine the confused looks on all of the boys faces. Within seconds Liam and Mason come tumbling through the door, Liam slamming it shut once they were both in. “You guys good?” I asked, swinging my legs as I sit on the edge of the desk. “Yeah” Mason breathed out, breathing heavily. Guess they ran all the way here, or most likely Liam dragged Mason.  “So, can someone explain to me what’s happening here? Let me guess it’s one of your supernatural things again” She sighed already knowing the answer from the silence. “What is with this school and the supernat-“Ms Martin started but got cut off by a knock on the door. “Come in!” She shouts to whoever was on the other side of the door as the three of us look at each other confused to who it is. When the door opened I did not want to see the face behind it. Liam and I saw who it was before Mason and we bot turned around, my back towards the door while Liam stood side on, we both trying to cover our face as much as possible. “Hello, I’m Brett Talbot. New transfer here” Brett says probably smiling. “Fuck, this is bad. What do we do?” I ask panicking and speaking faster than usual. “How the fuck am I supposed to know” Liam responded with a slightly angry tone. “Y/n? Liam? What are you guys doing? Come introduce yourself” Ms Martin said as both of our faces scrunch up in annoyance. We slowly turn around, obviously not wanting too, I give Ms Martin a sweet smile but still not saying anything as we stood in an awkward silence for a minute. “Sorry about these two, they can be very… weird at times” She says breaking the silence and also glaring at us. “Well are you not going to introduce yourself to our newest student then?” She continues in a bitter tone. “Oh don’t you worry, I’ve already ‘introduced’ myself to Brett many times” I say sassily and stride out the door into the empty hallways of Beacon Hills high school. 

Now I’m sitting at the McCall dining table with the pack discussing the new hunters, subtly glaring at the cocky werewolf in front of me with the name of Brett Talbot. “We need to stop them before anything else happens, they already killed a hellhound, who knows we might be next” Brett states from across the table. Why did we even need his help, I roll my eyes. Honestly as much as I care for my health and life this pack lunch was killing me. “I wish you were next” I mumbled under my breath, which doesn’t work with a bunch of friends who have heightened senses which include hearing. Most of the pack (the ones who could hear) snapped their head towards me, turning everyone’s head to me. “You didn’t say that last year, did you princess” Brett says, turning the question into more of a statement.  “Were you always such a dick or is this new?” I ask innocently, disregarding his last statement.  “You should know the answer better than anyone else here baby girl” He says smirking at me, oh how I wanted to slap him in the face. I give him a sickly fake smile and leaned back in my seat, not wanting to be here any longer. “Anyways…” I hear Brett continue as I drowned out most of the noise staring out to space. I snap out of my little daydream as I feel some one burning holes in the side of my head, I look over to see Lydia staring at me with a slight confused face not even responding after I raise a brow at her. Her gaze switches to the werewolf in front of me looking at him with the same expression.  I skipped half my school day for this and I don’t know which would be worse. 

 After the little meeting, everyone got up to leave but I get pulled back a bit by someone. “Hey Lyds, what’s up?” I ask as she glances up at me. “You are coming over to mine later tonight” She says. “And why do I need to come over?” I ask confused. “Because you can tell me all about what’s happening with you and Brett, come over at 6? Alright bye!” she says leaving me standing without any choice. I make my way out of the McCall house to see everyone’s vehicles gone, but as I start walking towards the paving I see a figure leaning on the tree right in front of the house. “To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you again Talbot” I say stopping in front of him. “Always so mannered aren’t you” He replies, kicking off the tree and beginning to walk gesturing me to walk with him, which I do since it’s the path home. “How’ve you been?” He asks, changing the whole sassy and snarky atmosphere to an awkward one. “Good, it’s been a weird change but good. How ‘bout you?” I answer as we continue to walk. “As always stressed on lacrosse you know being captain and all” he boasts as I smile knowing he didn’t actually mean all these egotistical things he says. “But honestly it’s been weird trying to get use to you not being there” Brett says, I give him a tight lipped smile nodding my head in agreeance as it was weird without him for the first couple of weeks. Deep down I knew that I wanted to see him again even if I did cover it up, and a part of me not actually wanting to see him. I knew that I wouldn’t hate the fact he was here, maybe disliked at times but not hate.  “Well this is me” I say looking at the home I currently live in, before looking back at Brett. We stare at each other for a while until Brett suddenly brings me into a tight hug which I return immediately. As we stood on the pacing in front of my house hugging, I can’t help but remember my last few memories I had of him before this.

*Flashback*

“I have to leave, dads transferring. I can’t stay, you know I can’t” I say, my eyes starting to water.  We were currently lying on his bed with minimal clothing, my head lying on his chest. We weren’t a couple even if I wanted to be but we’ve been having this “Fling” thing for a while now and I guess this is the day it ends. It all started at a party which lead on to us being here. “You know I’m going to miss you princess” He says whilst playing with my hair. I smile at the nickname. “You’ll find another girl or guy in no time” I sigh as my eyes drooped slowly closing out of exhaustion. “I don’t think I’ll ever find anyone like you again” Brett whispers to himself, pulling me closer as he also closes his eyes.“Be good okay?” I say as Brett and I were hugging, holding on to each other never wanting to let go. “I’ll see you in the future okay baby girl?” he asks pressing a kiss to my forehead, before pulling me close again. As much as I wanted to believe it I couldn’t, we weren’t even a thing or haven’t even confessed feeling yet, though it seems obvious to us that we like each other. I nod my head as I bury it in his chest. “Y/n, we need to go now!” I hear my mum shout from the car. I slowly move away placing one last kiss on the corner of his mouth before walking away. “Don’t you dare forget me Brett Talbot” I say over my shoulder, giving him one more smile before continuing to walk to the car. “I would never forget you Y/n Y/l!” she shouts out to me while I got into the car. I give him blow him a kiss from the rolled down window which I see him pretend to catch before the car started driving away from my first love.

*End of flash back*

I pull away first, placing a light kiss on his cheek. “I’ll see you soon?” he asks smiling. Oh how I missed this type of Brett, I nod my head before walking up to my house ad heading in giving him a smile before closing the door.

“You guys need to get together quickly before the sexual tension swallows all of us, before the hunters can get us” Malia says popping some popcorn into her mouth right after talking. Currently Lydia, Malia and I are in her room, Lyds and I sat on the bed as Malia is sitting on the chair near the desk eating out from a bowl of popcorn placed on her lap. I groan at Malia’s comment, I then lay back staring at the ceiling. “She’s only stating the truth, you two seriously need to get together” Lydia says. I’ve already told them the whole story about Brett and I when I was back at Devenford and what happened after the pack meet up today. “Me and him together?  That’s the funniest joke I’ve ever heard” I say as I sarcastically laugh after.  “It’s never going to happen, it’s been what a year and we’ve only started talking again. He probably doesn’t even like me anymore” I say sighing. “Oh c’mon that’s bullshit and you know it” Malia says twirling around with the chair. “You like him, he likes you. What’s the problem?” Lydia asks looking at me.  “He obviously still likes you from what happened today so just go get him” She continues.  “Alright ill see, if I see him tomorrow I may tell him how I feel” I say staring at the white ceiling above me, thinking of all the possibilities that could happen. “Yes! We are the best matchmakers ever” Malia exclaims as she jumps off the chair to high five Lydia. 

Obviously I did see Brett at school since he’s new here, but I tried to avoid him as much as I can which is easy as all of the girls were swooning.  But as lunch came round ad I didn’t skip it like yesterday, he came up to me as I spoke to Mason. “Hey um Y/n can I talk to you… in private?” He asks shyly, which I could see Mason looking at him in confusion as he’s never seen Brett like this before.  “Yeah, sure” I reply standing up and giving Mason a smile and wave as I walk off with Brett. We walked over to a secluded patch of grass with a tree, standing in front of it. “You know I actually wanted to talk to you about something also” I say remembering last night with the girls. “Well let me start okay?” he politely asks, I nod my head as this gives me a chance to think about what I’ll say to him. “Well, being with you again has brought back so many memories, good memories and I just wanted to say… Ilikeyouello” Brett says, saying the last few words so fast it was hard to understand but I did hear it. “You like youello? You like yellow?” I ask confused but also wanting to burst out laughing. “No, no I- I meant or I said I like you a lot. Not yellow” he says laughing at the end causing me to laugh with him. “You know I’m bad with feeling and all, don’t judge me princess” He says after he had stopped laughing now watching me giggle as I try to stop.  I wrap my arms around his neck stepping closer to him as I finally stopped laughing. I lean in closer to him our lips brushing against each other’s. “I missed this, baby girl” he whispers before closing the small gap. His lips felt so good against mine, it felt better than how we kissed before because I now know that this isn’t a fling anymore. He pulled away as we caught our breath, leaning our foreheads together. “I like yellow too” I giggled. “Oh shut up” Brett says pulling me closer and pressing his lips on mine once again. 

I hustled to get this out on my b-day {2/10} which I’m glad i did so enjoy my gift (i dont know how that works) to you :)

JD responded to a fan asking him if the Ali we see after the time jump is a result of her wanting to be better for herself and for Emily too, the only person who believed in her, and he said that's exactly what it is. To the writers, Ali is already a redeemed character, the liars love and trust her, they think of her as one of their own after the whole incident in 7x01 (Spencer got all girls matching necklaces). I think Ali is finally at a point in life where she can fully be with Emily (1/2)

Unlike earlier seasons. Emison would'v never worked with Ali & Em's personalities then but Em has grown into this confident woman & Ali has grown into a mature person who stayed in town she hated & took care of her transgender sister over leaving as she had always dreamed of. Em in 6B-7A wanted to settle & have a family (Sabrina asked her if she wanted to permanently stay in RW and she said yes) & that's something Ali wants too. The writers are writing them in a way where both want the same thing. (2/3)

I mean they foreshadowed them getting married in 7x07, when Em & Pam where at Radley and a couple (blonde & dark haired) were having their bachelorette party & Em held a crown that said "bride to be" & the camera focuses on the crown then Em. I think the time jump has shown us how these 2women want the same thing in life, who want it together, but are too afraid to vocalize it. SP/MK said emison will vocalize how they both felt in the past, present, & future including Ali's feelings (3/3)

Hi there !

I don’t really have anything to answer to this as this was an answer to something I said, but thanks, it’s interesting to have other point of views.

Like I said before, I answer with my thoughts and feelings on the show, and when a writer (even if it’s JD) says something that I don’t feel while watching, I take it under consideration, but to me it just means that the show itself wasn’t written well enough to make me feel/think that.

Yes, Ali isn’t the bitch she used to be. Honestly it makes me sad because I freaking loved her and now she’s just a blend character. I really didn’t like s6B, I thought it was boring as Hell and in fact it makes me sad that they didn’t give Alison enough depth to still be awesome without being bitchy. And then in 7x10 she said what she said when seeing Paige and Emily and if at first it made me laugh (yeah I admit it, bad Paily shipper) when I thought about it it made me… bored. Like they need that kind of stuff to go back to the PLL that had killer ratings and was fun and witty. But then it messes with « Ali is a better person ». It just goes back to the old « I say a bad thing about Paige behind Emily’s back but when we’re alone I’m vulnerable and we kiss » NO. You want me to believe Ali has changed then make her change. Or if you want Ali to go back to pure evil then you do it fully. And not just at Paige’s expanse because man I grow tired of seeing that freaking gif of « I’m gonna be sick » every time there is a Paily/Paige post on social media. Yes it was awesome to have old Ali back but if you give me that line then an Emison kiss later I’m wondering what would have had happened if Paige hadn’t been back. I know that Paige triggers her insecurities but come on, it was just 5x05 all over again. And that doesn’t work with all they’ve been through since or what they are trying to do.

About what will happen, I think the answer you answered was more focused on hypotheses and what we have now. I’m curious about that, I hope they do that well. And I just answered another ask saying that I hope they talk about what Emily have been through because of Alison (the shame of staying in the closet, her games with the kisses etc) But as always, I’m sad it took them that long and that they only make these discussions happen in s7B. With Paily we saw Paige and Emily grow together, being more mature, changing, and it was nice to see them develop like that. For Emison if/when they will finally be together we’ll just have a time-jump to see them after that. I would have liked to see how they work as a couple, maybe it would have helped me understand that pairing better.

My thoughts on s8A so far...

-  So I kept thinking of s8A in writers’ perspective. Just trying to see where some plots are going. I just realized s8A is about Rick’s “plan”. Crazy thing is the fans don’t know much of it. Just some basic things or mentioned throughout the season. First four episodes were about them putting heard of walkers around Sanctuary and trapping the Saviors inside the building. Then Rick (originally with Daryl?) goes to the Scavengers/Jadis to make a deal again and to show them that TF can kill them if they disagree, and show proof that Saviors are weak-losing team of the war. And it was subtle..The leaders and everyone else was to meet up at Sanctuary to fight against the Saviors.

So s8A is about Rick’s “plan” and then writers like to add conflict to Rick’s “plan” arc with the whole characters stuff about the prison of war. Shiva death/Kingdom, being emotional-going rogue.(Daryl, Tara, Morgan),which the writers believe add conflict to Rick’s “plan”/TF.  Plus, on the side, Carl’s plot with Siddiq, Rick’s visions..etc.

I don’t know what or how the Rick’s “plan” arc will end. Will it end in S8A or finale. Like Rick’s “plan” is actually the whole war plan and not part of the war plan.  So, it kinda makes me feel bit a better, so far, to know that there’s some conclusion to this plot and that we will understand it (partly?) better in MSF. Because of how the story structure goes. beginning middle ending.

I wish/hope writers explain why TF keep not listening to Rick and it seems like they keep doing that. It’s similar to s6B except it wasn’t on anyone else’s plan. It’s some weak plot device, I guess, because fans keep complaining. Idk. I don’t see it that way because that’s just how stories goes...to get moving the story along. It’s some plot device when TF does something stupid just to get TF to where the writers want them to be at. Like in s6B, they made risky decisions to get go find Dwight, help Maggie to Hilltop..when Saviors are out and about and then they become Negan’s lineup(s6finale). In s7, it was TF/ASZ doing their own thing and not working together, going against Rick’s lead, which was all leading to more trouble and deaths till s7 MSF.#riseup( and Sasha’s death.) They all finally work together and got faith. In s8A, it’s like writers are doing that plot again, with TF not following Rick’s “plan”, not working together as a team because they don’t agree on how to end the war and they think there’s better ways to end it too. Also, emotional things too like death of Shiva and Eric etc. Zeke won’t get out of his theater to meet Rick, Daryl/Tara went rogue, Aaron/Enid went somewhere else. The conflict is out. I guess that means ...Rick’s “plan” won’t work or it will work. Something else, the writers planned for TF, is gonna happen.-S8B.

(i thought of all this cos i see the hate on Daryl and it kinda confuses me. Daryl didn’t repeat his actions. He’s just stubborn and quick to fight. s6b-trying to find dwight/captured. no one had to go with him..&leading up as the Negan’s lineup. s7-”killing” glenn and being prisoner at Sanctuary was all uh lead to man-pain and that also lead to s8-kill rage ..which this arc makes these characters so unlikable and do dumb stuff. But, in the end, the character will come back what they used to be and find forgiveness and peace or whatever. Maybe Daryl fighting Rick in 8x05 will lead something major. Maybe Rick will drift apart even more or they will make up later on. So, when Daryl screwed up Rick’s plan w/Jadis, that’s there will be some major Rickyl plot to happen later on in the season that the writers planning for.)
