Remus x James is a rare marauders ship! I’m into it. Why do you ship them?
Well, I mean, friends to lovers. But I also think that they both want to be good for everyone around them so they don’t ever really have a safe space to decompress. They have that in the other, in the terms that they don’t feel the need to prove themselves to the other; they’re content with each other no matter how that relationship presents itself.
I think that when they first became friends, James was this joy that Remus couldn’t tear his eyes away from. He was just this constant presence in his life which made him think, that, yes everything will be okay. James was the first person to get whatever Remus needed. A quiet space to think, a snack from the kitchens, reassurance, he got it.
I don’t think they really thought about it becoming a romantic relationship, it was just what was next. After sleepness nights, cuddling up to one another after another nightmare. It seemed to be more than friends. They don’t label their relationship, theyre not boyfriends. They’re totally in love with each other, the pure adoration in they’re eyes whenever they see or talk about the other is so prevalent. A glimmer when the other was in the room, a silent burst of excitement when they could finally be together.
The progression from friends to lovers was slow and that’s why no one caught on. A kiss on the cheek slowly moved to a kiss on the lips and hugs gradually became longer. It was like they couldn’t be apart, and well, not in terms of touch. Being together in the same room was enough, a gaze from across the room.
James always thought Remus had hung the moon, jokes aside, from the moment he saw him he knew he wouldn’t let him go. Remus was something bright and what was needed to save him. The bright light when nothing else shone, but not too much. He was something that changed constantly but was no less loved by people (James).
Mainly, I just think they’re neat. I dont really know if this answered anything but hey. I could go on for hours so let me know if you want more of this type of stuff alongside drabbles!

Unusual
It was one of the rarest days wherein Byulyi opted to wear a more feminine outfit in contrast to her usual baggy style. However, it seemed like the weather was not in her favor as the sudden cold breeze hits the skin of the back of her neck, making her shiver as she walked through the streets not far from their music video filming site.
Her hair was pulled up into a messy bun, a gold necklace belonging to a set of two hanging loosely around her neck. She was clad in an oversized white button-up polo shirt, the first button undone and the collar pulled down her shoulders, showing a bit of her collarbones. The hem of the shirt was tucked inside a tightly fitted black pencil skirt that emphasizes the curve of her waist. To top it off, she completed the outfit with a pair of white rubber shoes and a small simple yet fancy hand purse.
It was unusual for Byulyi to be wearing such an outfit offstage but Yongsun was not complaining. It was a new fresh look and the younger definitely looked stunning. The moment she walked into the filming set, the entire team, including Wheein and Hyejin, were in shambles, however, the younger's conscious gaze as they walked through the area did not go unnoticed.
Yongsun was having an internal turmoil, torn between her protectiveness triggered by the vulnerability visible on the woman's face and not knowing how to act on her worries. She bit her lip, staring down her now slightly shorter bandmate all thanks to the heels she was currently wearing.
The moment Byulyi hid herself behind the leader, she dropped all her hesitation, finally removing the blazer she wore above her silk cream one-piece outfit and stopping on her tracks to turn and drape the garment around Byulyi's shoulders. The younger, in turn, stared at her in shock, currently in a flustered state at the sudden action.
A mischievous glint flashed through Byulyi's eyes, smirking at the older who looked away from the gaze, cheeks flushed with red. "Unnie, that made my heart skip a beat" she teased, much to Yongsun's misery, poking the older's nose with her index finger.
Following right after the younger who continued walking to the convenience store, she groaned.
"Shut up, Byul-ah."
Bonus:
Byulyi clutched onto the blazer, her lips stretched into a wide grin as she walked pass a dumbfounded Yongsun. Her cheeks were tinted red, her heartbeat was racing and she couldn't help but let out a small squeal. When she said her heart skipped a beat, she wasn't lying.

practicing all day wasn’t the best thing byul could have done on a friday afternoon. the constant pain in her left foot as she walked up the stairs to her apartment. her key slid almost too easily into the lock considering that it was routine for her to have problems with the old door. with a positive mind, she took it as a sign that the world was finally giving her a chance to rest after the long day of hard work.
immediately after opening the door, she was hit with a powerful burning smell that seemed to fill the whole house. she rushed quickly down the hall and towards the kitchen area with panic in her eyes. the burning smell had been coming from the stove which was on and cooking some meat that she couldn’t make out behind it’s burnt texture. byul knew she never cooked before she left for practicing so there hadn’t been anyway for this to be her doing, but a small snore coming from the couch gave the cause of the fire hazard right away.
“kim yongsun! wake up right now!” she yelled, dropping the cute nicknames the two always a call each other. yongsun’s eyes opened slowly, meeting byul’s also immediately. her smile dropped once the smell of her hard work being burnt in the kitchen hit her nose. yongsun jumped off the couch and rushed over turning off the stove before looking at the younger with a shy expression.
“i’m sorry, i just wanted to make sure you came home to something to eat.” she said sinking down in intimidation. the frown on byul’s face as she walked closer to her older girlfriend made it clear that she wasn’t forgiven.
“how could you fall asleep while cooking! do you know how dangerous this is? god i swear you’re so irresponsible.” being yelled at by byul wasn’t common for yongsun and she didn’t like it one bit to say the least.
“i can’t do one thing for you without being wrong can i! maybe you should just starve when you get home.”
“maybe if you didn’t mess things up so much i would trust you to be alone more!”
“maybe i should just leave !” with those words, byul grabbed yongsun by her wrist and pull her closer. their lips met in a frantic passion as yongsun’s hands quickly found their way to the younger’s waist, pushing her backwards against the kitchen’s corner. they continued like this as the moments passed filled with the sounds of their lips crashing against each other’s and the short angered breathes that escaped their lips.
byul pulled back meeting eyes with yongsun’s own which were burning with passion and subdued anger. “thank you for the food idiot.” she said with a light grin, wrapping her arms around the older neck.
“your welcome. now i would like to have my own meal as well.”

The thing about the ring
This is a little Moonsun drabble that was prompted to me. I thought I’d share it on here since I didn’t really write any Moonsun for like twenty years now!
"When are we gonna tell them?" Byulyi asked quietly as Yongsun and her were sitting next to each other, enjoying their break from filming their reality show.
They were watching Hyejin and Wheein playing around on the other side of the room. Apparently they were fighting over who was able to do the bigger bubble gum bubbles.
"Tell them what?" Yongsun replied, her eyes still trained on their bandmates.
Byulyi gently placed her hand on hers, moving her fingers a little around so Yongsun would follow.
"Oh, the ring."
"Yes, the ring and the little thing that is linked to it," the rapper said with a light frown. "Why do you sound so lukewarm about it?"
At that Yongsun raised her head to meet Byulyi's gaze. She seemed surprised. "I am sorry," her finger entwined with Byulyi's. "I was a little in thought."
The other woman smiled at her. "It's fine. But what do you think? Wheein and Hyejin of all people should know about it."
Yongsun once more looked over to the other two and sighed.
"I don't know, to be honest. While we are in the group we won't be able to go through with our plan anyway. I wouldn't want them to feel bad about it."
"Don't you think they will be rather mad if they only find out after three years?" Byulyi asked, and placed her hand on Yongsun's thigh. She looked so cute today and it took a lot of restraint to not throw every least bit of self-control aside and kiss her senseless.
On the other hand, they were on break and the cameras off…
"Why are you staring at my lips?" Yongsun's voice pulled her out of her thoughts. "I bet you didn't even listen to what I said."
The tip of Byulyi's ears became a little red. No, she hadn't been listening, even though she was the one who had asked a question.
"I was, well… mentally occupied. Could you repeat it?"
The singer rolled her eyes. "I said that you have a point. We wouldn't hear the end of it if we don't tell them in time."
"Maybe we can tell them later when we're done with filming? Take them home with us and you know… just drop it."
"Okay. Let's do that."
Silence settled in between them again and Byulyi busied herself with drinking some water until she felt Yongsun's hand sneaking along her thigh. She leaned in and placed her head on her shoulder.
"We got a few minutes left until the crew returns to turn the cameras back on you know," she whispered in a rather seductively voice.
"I am listening," Byulyi replied and wrapped her arm around Yongsun's waist.
Instead of replying Yongsun turned her head a little and gently placed her lips on Byulyi's.
The younger gave a quick side-eye to Wheein and Hyejin, but apparently they had left the room.
She absolutely didn't mind that and closed her eyes as she returned Yongsun's kiss.
They made out leisurely for a few minutes before a loud gagging noise and a loudly shouted "ew!" made them snap out of it.
"Can you two not make out for one day? Is it so hard?" Wheein asked whiny as she and Hyejin came into the room and sat down in front of the couple.
They slowly parted, but neither of them made any attempts to let go of the other.
Hyejin patted her best friend's back and looked at her Unnies. "The crew will be back any minute, you might want to unglue yourselves."
Byulyi huffed. "Don't be jealous just because you are single," she said and gave Yongsun one last kiss before she let go of her again.
Yongsun nodded and gave the two youngest her best stern leader expression. "We are the oldest two of the group so we get to do what we want. Even more so now that Byulyi and I are engaged."
The second the words had left Yongsun's mouth her eyes widened and even her girlfriend stared at her in disbelief. No, she absolutely hadn't planned on letting it slip like that.
"I KNEW IT!" Wheein called and then it was chaos.
Soon all four of them were lying in a pile on the ground, Yongsun on the bottom and everyone was screeching.
"See the second I saw that ring I knew something was off with it," Wheein said.
"Off with it is a harsh way to word it," came the muffled voice of their leader from under them.
"You know what I mean. It was suspicious and you were looking at it way too fondly way too often. Also, you became touchier with Byulyi, don't think we didn't notice that."
"We are happy for you," Hyejin then concluded and the newly engaged couple felt immense relief.
They were still in their little family pile when the crew came back. Everyone involved was used to their antics by now though, so no one questioned whatever they were doing.
Everyone went back to work and Byulyi and Yongsun with a way lighter heart.

6 - routine
She didn't stay over at Yong's house that much. Despite how things looked, and her own clingy tendencies, she really didn't.
She stayed over once a week, maybe once every two weeks?
She didn't keep track, of course. It didn't really matter.
What she did do though, far more often, is come over in the mornings. When the house was still quiet, and Yongsun still sleeping.
She left her apartment with some provisions for the day--her keys, a couple phones, some extra snacks. And she drove. Down the few minutes to the other side of the neighborhood, the sun shining bright, and the wind cool. She’d go up the building elevator, saying hi to the doorman on the way.
The air would be stuffy when she opened the bedroom door, and a sleepy whimper escaped from the figure on the bed. Yong never bothered to rub sleep from her eyes, and instead simply opened her arms to grasp at empty air, like a child for a comfort item.
Byul came over, being that comfort item. Arms wrapped around the older woman, she’d press a kiss to her forehead, and enjoy the scent of her room, the lightest kiss brushed against her neck.
Byul didn't sleep over at Yong's house much. It didn't matter. It didn't detract from what they were. But these morning embraces, in the days they were off, in the quietness of a this shared space, with the older woman grasping at her shirt as if to pull her closer; these precious moments--she would do anything to stay here forever.
***
(epilogue - (?))
“Byulie it’s time to get up!” Yong whined, trying to claw her way out of bed while Byul clung onto her waist.
“Unnie... nooooooo!” Byul wrapped around her tighter, eyes squeezed shut as if to ignore reality. “I’m not done cuddling...”
“Ahhhhhhhghhhhhh!”

/ ❛ 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒 ❜ 。
[Mamamoo] No matter how many concerts they do, they are always nervous beforehand. To take their minds off it, they have a ongoing game to see who can have sex with a member of the venue staff first.
I feel like Moonbyul would be too shy so she’d just end up dragging Solar somewhere and they’d fuck together. The other members call them cheaters for it, because Hwasa and Wheein are actually competitive and always find a different person.
Hwasa uses her seductive charms, luring people in like they’re prey because she’s confident like that.
Wheein flirts cutely with them, before getting more serious and bossing people around, which usually works.
After the shows, they add to the score on the white board back at their dorm. Solar always tries to sneak in a higher number, counting her and Byul’s encounters even outside of the game; she never succeeds in doing it, though, because Byul’s loud laugh exposes her cheating every. single. time.

Random Drabble Series pt. 2/?
It starts with a kiss.
It’s unexpected in some ways but in other ways Solar could have spotted it years ago when she still was Kim Youngsun and had a roundness to her cheeks that wasn’t quite idol appropriate.
Some people say she’s dense. That she isn’t observant. And it’s true to an extent. Sudden movements startle her. Bugs make her scream. Guys hitting on her go way over her head. But for some reason Byulyi does not. Solar thinks that she felt the shift in their relationship like gravity, inevitable and inescapable. Byulyi is uncapping Yongsun’s water bottle and even though she’s thirsty herself, she lets Yongsun take a long sip. And when Yongsun looks back at Byulyi to give her the water bottle she sees the other girl’s eyes peeking from under her dark bangs. And there is a moment of complete transparency before that vulnerable emotion was glossed over like a curtain pulled in front of a window. That hungry look was gone from Byulyi’s eyes in an instant and all Yongsun was looking at was glass.
But she remembered that look for a very long time and all the other looks that followed.
Yongsun wasn’t stupid and Solar isn’t either.
****
Sometimes Solar just wishes that people could read her mind. It would make interviews a hell of a lot easier. Dance practices would go off without a hitch. And Moonbyul would have known when she first kissed Solar that she likes a little bit more teeth than usual.
But Moonbyul likes this mysterious quality of Solar’s.
“It’s like I’m looking into your eyes and I’m looking into a mirror,” Moonbyul whispers into the nape of her neck once, her breath warming the downy baby hairs there. Solar makes a noncommittal sound as she feels a gentle mouth tease the skin near the underside of her jaw.
“Does that mean I’m shallow?” She doesn’t mean for there to be a slight hardness in her tone. Solar compensates for the question by gently caressing Moonbyul’s hand rubbing circles against her bare hip.
“No,” is murmured against the shell of her ear. “It’s like a still lake. You look at that surface but you cannot fathom just how much depth it has.”
Solar makes a pleased sound and rolls over. She’s nose to nose with Moonbyul whose dark hair makes her pale face seem almost doll-like. Long lashes flutter as Solar reaches out and rubs a thumb along the smoothness of her cheekbone.
“Are you just trying to get me to kiss you?” Solar teases, barely concealing the warmth she feels for the other girl.
Moonbyul stares at her, the other girl unusually serious.
“I can’t stop looking at you,” Moonbyul whispers as she leans forward, cupping her jaw with a gentle hand, “because every time I see you there is something new to appreciate.”
Solar feels her cheeks warm and lets out an awkward laugh.
“Y-you need to stop it with your greasiness.”
Moonbyul almost looks insulted and Solar sighs as she turns her head and presses her lips against the inside of the other girl’s palm. Her eyes soften almost instantly and Solar takes it as the approval she needs to tug a bit and pull Moonbyul closer. Just as Solar leans forward to press her mouth against hers Moonbyul whispers against her lips.
“Everything I say is true you know.”
Solar silences her with a kiss, winding her hands through dark hair and trying to stay grounded in this moment in time, not the looming shadow of the future.
*****
They’re not girlfriends. But they’re definitely not friends either. Friends don’t look at each other like they do. Friends don’t treat each other like they do. And friends certainly don’t kiss each other like they do.
But in front of the cameras Solar tries to keep a very hard line between the Solar behind closed doors who just responds to Moonbyul’s greasy comments with a lazy kiss and the Solar who loudly protests Moonbyul’s words with a blush and nervous laugh. She supposes they are the same, as a make-up brush sweeps up the contour of her nose.
Solar watches Moonbyul out of the corner of her eye, the girl’s hair now dyed an ash blonde, as her eyes flutter open and closed under the make-up artist’s patient hands. She feels a pang of guilt as she recalls just how late she had made Moonbyul stay up last night.
“Byul-ah,” she says toward the other girl who trusts in her chair so violently that the artist nearly stabs Moonbyul with an eyeliner pen. She still just blinks, completely unphased as she looks expectantly at Solar through the mirror.
“Are you alright?” Solar asks lightly as managers scurry about the room and Wheein and Hwasa roar behind them about some new internet meme.
Moonbyul’s mouth twitches, eyes never living hers through the mirror.
“I’m very tired.”
Solar feels heat rise in her cheeks and she ducks her head just a fraction, giving their manager a sideglance. The man doesn’t even bat an eye.
“I’m sorry about that,” she says honestly trying to convey the apology in her voice. “I’ll try to make sure that you get a lot of rest then.”

Ghosts
Fandom: Mamamoo Pairing: Moonsun Rating: G Word Count: 505 Tags: Alternate universe, ghosts Summary: Byulyi admires a beautiful human but can’t get too close or the hunters will find her. A/N: Day 1 of the Halloween Artistic Challenge: ghosts.
A dreadful paranoia crept inside of her when the air was crisp and the leaves were golden.
After a beautiful summer spent admiring the laughter of children playing in the grassy fields of the nearby park, Byulyi had to retreat. No longer could she bask in the warmth of the summer sunshine or imagine how absolutely amazing a splash of fresh lemonade tasted on the tongue. Now, she was forced to return to the stuffy, dark attic of her childhood home. She was usually safe there.
Humans were cruel and selfish, justifying their evil actions of ousting ghosts from their homes for self-protection. Ghosts never hurt anyone. Myths, folklore, fairytales—hell, even ghost stories—tainted the reputation of ghosts. For much of the year, ghosts could live quietly and safely in their nostalgia, reminiscing days of youth and life in places that held a dearness to their hearts. When the leaves shrivelled red and fluttered from tree limbs, autumn was upon the mortal realm. October marked the beginning of the slaughter.
Ghosts as represented in fiction were misunderstood. They did not haunt. For some, choosing to remain on the mortal plane to observe their unique and fascinating way of life was ideal. Sure, many newly deceased humans opted not to return to the world that slayed them, but The Reaper was kind and generous to offer a choice at all. After days of adjustment to life in the afterlife, choices changed and new souls yearned to enjoy the mortal plane once again. It wasn’t haunting, it was revival.
Byulyi died decades ago in an accident that seemed so fuzzy and insignificant now. When The Reaper offered her a choice, she took her return to the mortal plane the first time. Freedom to travel anywhere in the world, she visited countries around the globe she was too financially unstable to travel to as a mortal. After years of a fun, she settled back in her childhood home. Most of her days were spent watching the children play, content to watch their youthful naivete.
Well, until a beautiful woman moved into the house across the street. She was short and slender, brunette, often wore pastel colors despite the season. It appeared she lived alone. After a short while, she brought home a pretty, white kitten with a pink collar and heather grey paws. For some reason, she seemed lonely. If Byulyi were corporeal, she’d have knocked on that gorgeous woman’s door and welcomed her to the neighborhood. Probably would’ve tried to make a move on her, too. Respectfully, of course.
Byulyi wanted to wander from the attic, to visit this beautiful woman, to in some way have a connection with her… but if she left, they would get her. Ghosts were made of dark matter-composed plasma-based energy, any shift in that type of energy was easily detectable by ghost hunters. They set traps around the city, eagerly waiting for their prey to get snared.
Then, a sure and swift snuffing of her afterlife. The Reaper couldn’t reap snuffed ghosts.

supposedly, a movie date (#1)
Yongsun had no idea how she ended up in a couch with Byulyi, watching “The Handmaiden” for the tenth time. Yes, Yongsun loves the movie. I mean, she’s a lesbian and ‘The Handmaiden’ is probably the best lesbian movie out there. Of course she loves it.
But after watching it for the tenth time in a week, she couldn’t stand it anymore. It doesn’t help that Byulyi basically narrates the whole movie while it’s playing.
“I love this part!” The raven-haired beside Yongsun shouted excitedly.
“You’ve been saying that since the movie started playing, Byul.” Yongsun rolled her eyes and retracted the slender arms wrapped around her waist as she got up.
“Where do you think you’re going?” As if on cue, Byulyi pressed the pause button, “The movie isn’t done yet and you promised to watch with me.”
“But we’ve seen this movie since it was released to the public!”
“Doesn’t make it any less good. Remember that you promised to watch this with me.”
Yongsun wanted to scowl at the younger, but seeing how her eyes are pleading and that small pout she’s doing, Yongsun knew. She knew that she couldn’t resist Byulyi no matter what.
“Damn it.”
Byulyi instantly pulled Yongsun to sit back on the couch and hugged her tight, as though she’s going to lose her any second.
“Thank you.”
“Just so you know, you’re going to spend half of your allowance to treat me tteokbokki for a week.” The brunette huffed childishly.
Byulyi didn’t protest, though. She thought that Yongsun looks cute when she’s being a whiny baby. Honestly, even if Yongsun didn’t ask to treat her tteokbokki, Byulyi would still do it anyway.
She wouldn’t want to miss the sight of Yongsun happily eating the spicy rice cakes, not noticing sauce on the side of her mouth.
And Byulyi, being the thoughtful woman she is, would wipe it for her. Yongsun on the other hand would end up being flustered by the sudden action and would playfully hit Byulyi to cover up her flushed cheeks.
The raven-haired woman snapped out of her train of thoughts when she felt Yongsun moving out of her embrace.
“Hey, I already agreed to treat you tteokbokki. You can’t leave me.”
Yongsun chuckled at how pouty Byulyi can be.
“While you were daydreaming, I asked if you wanted to order something and you replied with a hum, silly.” The brunette said, dialing on her phone.
“Your treat?”
“Of course. Didn’t you ask me to pay for your taxi because you’re stupid and you forgot your wallet in your apartment?” Yongsun placed her phone on the table and went back to the couch.
“My girlfriend is so reliable.” Byulyi went ahead and grabbed Yongsun’s waist and made her sit on her lap, “I think I should marry you.”
“First, yes, I am reliable.” The brunette pecked Byulyi’s lips, “Second, you should.”
“Hmm. I will.” Byulyi chased after the latter’s lips until their playful kisses turned into a passionate make-out session.
Yongsun was sick of the movie after seeing it with Byulyi for a couple of times.
But Yongsun would never get tired on how they always end up making out while watching it.

Late Night Talks (Remus x James)
A drabble following a break up during the height of the first war. Due to little spacing, Remus and James are forced to share a room.
The crumpled bedsheets only proved to make things worse. A quick shuffling from James, his eyes piercing into Remus’ back. Soft sobs escaped his mouth, a choke of holding himself back. James took in a deep breath and looked up to the ceiling, a shake stuck in his throat seemingly blocking everything from coming up. All the words he wanted to spill, all the apologies he needed to give trapped behind his thoughts suffocating him. His head drops back and he can hear quiet sniffling and slight movement from Remus. His gaze dropped back to the otherwise still body beside him in a panic.
“Remus?” James whispered, like it was the worst thing he could have said, like it was something sacred. But how could it be? the name of his only lover now just a memory on his tongue but it was just a name. Something he should be used to by now. James could hear Remus still. Everything was still, it seemed like time stopped and nothing was force it to continue going; James knew it would eventually. It had to. He couldn’t sit in agonising silence with Remus.
“James,” Remus replied eventually, his voice even more hushed than James’ own. Quiet enough that James only just heard it. Remus hadn’t moved but James could see more of his body. His head was ontop of his arm, looking down into his chest. James assumed he had been crying, or was at least upset because of the dried tears that set on his face and the slightly red corners of his eyes even though they were shut so tightly, as if afraid of what James called him for.
“You’re upset,” James said. It was a statement really. A statement of what had just happened, him finally bringing up a topic they’d both been avoiding since the break up. “I didn’t think they’d put us in the same room.”
Remus turned and looked up, now in a similar position to James and loud out a pained sigh. “You are too. Don’t be like that, I can take care of myself.”
James let out a sob and wiped away the tears that blurred his vision. “Yeah. I know. It just… sucks that things turned out like this. Like I didn’t want to hurt you, you know? I just couldn’t put you through that shit again. And I know you can take care of yourself but…”
“It’s okay, James. I don’t blame you.”
“I think I needed to hear that,” James said and let out a laugh. “Thank you. For what it’s worth, I do love you.”
“I know. I just don’t think we were meant to be, maybe again in some distant future when we aren’t fighting for our lives and our friends are hounding us about getting into relationships. Did we ever even come out to them?”
“Maybe so. I’ll wait for you. I dont think there’s anyone who I can love the same way I love you. And.. no, don’t return it, please. I dont think I could take it. Let’s just enjoy this moment where no one’s fighting or taking sides or anything,” James said, his voice quiet, hanging onto a hope that may not be there. “I never did come out. I think Padfoot was holding out hope that I’d settle down with some girl from school or something. That is just not me though.”
“No, not you at all. Go to sleep, yeah? While we’re still being nice,” Remus said and waited for James to lie back down. The slow movements of the cover made a quiet sound and Remus quickly followed. They both laid in the silence before Remus whispered a last ‘Goodnight.’

Winter Woods
Byulyi shivered as the cold breeze hits her skin. She walked through the street, staring at the pile of snow that seemed to crunch beneath her feet as she hummed to the song softly playing on her headset. The streets were lighted by the yellow gleam of the post lights as bits of snow fell from the night sky. It was perfect. Her lips formed a small smile, comforted at the thought of finally coming back home after having spent long hours at work. It had been a very exhausting day for Byulyi, jumping from schedule to schedule for both solo and group projects.
When she has finally arrived in front of their humble home, she removed her head set, reaching for the doorbell. In no time, the door creaked open, revealing a soft-looking woman.
Her smile widens when she saw the woman behind the door, welcoming her with a warm hug. She buried her nose against the elder’s neck, making the said older woman flinch at the sudden cold touch. Byulyi tightened her hold on her girlfriend’s waist, inhaling her sweet calming scent as the she wraps her right arm around her shoulder firmly, her free hand gently combing through her hair.
“Welcome home, Byulyi.” Yongsun softly whispered, knowing about the girl’s sensitive state.
“I’m home.” Byulyi mumbled against the woman’s neck, exhaustion evident in her voice.
Yongsun’s presence had always been very soothing for her. It was something she had always looked for when she feels uneasy, usually hiding behind the protective figure.
She was snapped out of her daze when Yongsun tapped her shoulder, realizing they were both still at the doorstep.
Not long after, she found herself in the shower, staring blankly at the wall as she feels the warm water slide through her skin. She basked into the relaxing feeling, closing her eyes as she allows the water tend to her stiff muscles. Unconsciously, she let out a small whine, purring.
She was too immersed that she failed to notice Yongsun opening the door to the bathroom, only doing so when she felt someone’s gaze piercing through her skin. Her eyes shot wide open in slight panic only to meet Yongsun’s. The latter looked at her with same wide eyes, jaw dropped and seemingly stunned.
It had always been normal for the both of them to casually go into the bathroom to do their own things simultaneously. It was more convenient after all, one could shower while the other can do their night routine. It was normal.
Not until Yongsun saw a pair of pointed ears of some kind of animal on Byulyi’s head and a furry tail wagging, attached to her lower back. She was stunned.
“Oh, its just you.” Byulyi said, relieved and oblivious to what Yongsun was seeing.
She shrieked making Byulyi jump in place as the ears twitch in alarm, her tail stopped moving and instead turned stiff, physically demonstrating Byulyi’s surprise.
“What’s wrong with you?” Byulyi asked her, her pitch rising as she looked at the woman with wary eyes.
When yongsun shakily pointed towards her ears, her eyes widened in sudden realization, hands instinctively shooting up to hide them.
Crap.
-
Back in their bedroom, Byulyi was seated at the edge of their queen sized bed, fiddling with the hem of her oversized shirt as she watches Yongsun pacing back and forth. She bit her lower lip, seemingly even more nervous of what was to come when Yongsun’s hand suddenly shoots up to massage her temple.
Suddenly, Yongsun stopped in her tracks, staring at Byulyi’s figure as she watched her fluffy ears perk up in surprise.
She groans in frustration. Eerything here is too unbelievable--too impossible. But Byulyi, sitting in front of her, looking anywhere but her and looking like a kicked puppy, is the proof that this, indeed, is reality.
It took her a few seconds to finally take everything in. She sighed, making Byulyi flinch for the nth time of the day.
Catiously, Yongsun made her way to Byulyi, taking the space left beside her. The girl visibly stiffened at the sudden contact of the bare skin of their thighs. Yongsun, deep in thoughts, absentmindedly eyes the furry unmoving tail rested on the sheets.
“Eek!???”
Byulyi squeaked in surprise when Yongsun grabbed her tail, staring at her with wide eyes as she moves her tail away from the older woman’s hold.
Yongsun blinks once, twice, thrice, before finally taking in what just happened. Her eyes widened the way Byulyi’s did, staring at her in apology.
“I’m sorry” She smiled sheepishly, finally, a laughter escaping her lips as the tension seemed to finally escape through the room’s opened windows, joining the cold wind as they travelled from place to place under the night sky.
The sound of her contagious laughter left Byulyi momentarily shocked, eventually leading her to join her in a laughing fit.
It was overwhelming--suffocating even. Not once in the entirety of their 8 years of friendship slash relationship have they ever had that much tension between them other than their previous childish arguments that always end up with spontaneous movie nights topped with cuddles and take out food. The exit of the awkwardness relieved not only Byulyi but also Yongsun.
When their giggles have finally come to a stop, Yongsun pulled Byulyi into a tight hug, kissing her forehead as if to tell her that it’s alright and nothing will change between them which made Byulyi heave a sigh of relief and relax fully into her arms.
There was a moment of comfortable silence before Yongsun finally spoke.
"Do you go in heat?"
“Yah!” Byulyi broke the hug, punching Yongsun’s shoulder who was clutching her stomach as she let out a loud snort which lead to another, according to Byulyi, excessive fit of laughter.
“Calm down! I was just kidding!”
"Can i touch them?" Yongsun asked, eyeing her fluffy ears. She nodded, giving her the permission to touch her ears but the moment her hands made contact with her ears, Byulyi backed away, her ears twitching in response to her touch.
“What? Why?” Yongsun pouted, confused at the sudden action.
Byulyi looked away, cheeks crimson red. “Uh, just because. It’s ticklish.”
"Then…” Yongsun brought her finger to her lips, enthustiastically thinking about what to make Byulyi do next. “Can you turn fully into a werewolf?"
Byulyi replied with an affirmative nod, eyeing her anxiously when Yongsun jumped in excitement, obviously waiting for Byulyi to turn into her natural form.
"Uh.. The thing is-"
That was when she found herself in the woods near their backyard, fully turned into a large yet adorable werewolf as yongsun caresses her bowed down head. She cooed at her whines of pleasure, giggling as she continued rubbing the werewolf half as tall as her.
Yongsun stopped her ministrations which earned her a growl of protest. "How are you so full of aegyo?” She asked in amusement, still, standing up from her positon and dusting off the dirt on her knees.
"Enlighten me.” Yongsun challenged. “What makes a werewolf so unique? What can you do as a werewolf that you can’t when you’re a human?"
Byulyi looked at her straight in the eyes, looking like she’s getting ready to dash out. Yongsun could almost imagine her having a smug smile as if she was a human.
Suddenly, she ran through the forest, sending a strong wind towards Yongsuns form. Within 10 seconds, she was back in place, standing in front of yongsun with her snout stretched into a wide grin.
Yongsun looked at her in shock but eventually smirked when she saw her expression. A huge "compliment me" in bold was written across her furry face. Byulyi’s tongue was stuck out from her mouth, panting heavily. Byulyi, tilted her head expectantly making Yongsun break into giggles.
"Good job, baby" she mused, petting Byulyi’s head affectionately who was purring at the soothing touch. Suddenly, Byulyi rolled onto her back, letting Yongsun rub her belly which made her growl in approval when she did.
Yongsun laughed. "Are you really Byulyi?" she asked, jokingly, to which the wolf replied to with a howl. She can’t help it. It was funny she looked more like a large dog than an actual werewolf.
"You must be tired, you should turn back."
Suddenly, the werewolf stood on its four feet, seemingly wary and disturbed with her ears perked up in alertness.
"Why, why?" Yongsun asked, confused. Suddenly, byulyi nuzzled into her neck, shaking her head as she whimpers.
"Why? Aren't you tired?" Byulyi didnt reply but when yongsun rubbed her back, she let out A what seemed like a sigh. Yongsun felt her shrink back into human size in her hands, shivering as the cold air touched her... Bare skin? Wait, she's naked?
Her ears suddenly turning bright red, she immediately pulled down the zipper of her own jacket, wrapping its flaps around Byulyi and effectively trapping them both inside, her gaze all the while remaining on the dark woods careful as to not to look at Byulyi’s naked figure. She pulled Byulyi inside their home in hurry, quickly rummaging through their closet for some change of clothes.
She covered her eyes with her palm, looking through the gaps to see only byulyi's face who now had a blanket wrapped around her as she bit her lower lip.
Yongsun immediately passed the large shirt similar to what she was previously on, which, in turn, she wore in hurry.
"You didn't tell me." Yongsun said in an accusing tone, claiming her innocence regarding the matter.
“Tell you what?”
“That.” Yongsun pointed out, gesturing to her body, her hands flailing around like a madwoman.
Byulyi blushes. "You didnt let me!” She screeched, the sound of her voice echoing throughout the woods.

Mamamoo AU prompt where they all live together and are just being domestic wives who cook, sleep, cuddle, go on dates, and just love eachother💕
okay okay okay went a little crazy with this one.
also i decided to just make this a long series of random cute domestic non idol mmm headcanons uwu
———————-–
byul is the resident grocery getter. mostly because they all agreed that hyejin would buy loads of extra things, yong who used to be the household grocery shopper takes to long getting distracted by other things, and wheein is the one who actually cooks so it wouldn’t be fair for her to get the groceries too. byul actually hates getting going out to get them, but the little cute notes that the other three leave on the grocery list helps her get over it. she’s known at the store as that one girl who comes in with a goofy smile every other week.
hyejin was banned from doing the laundry after she was told to wash all of their white clothes, but accidentally left a few pair of socks in the washer turning yong’s favorite white dress a washed off green. it took three days and a lot of cuddling before the others finally convinced her that they weren’t mad at her. now everytime hyejin wants something washed she has to ask someone because of her fear of messing up
they made a pledge that whenever it rains they take time to do some cleaning up around the house unless there is absolutely nothing to be done. byul and hyejin always complain, but when yongsun tells them it’s time to clean they have no choice but to do as she says. their favorite time is when they finish cleaning the living room and just all snuggle up around on the couch to watch cute movies or random youtube videos. rock, paper, scissors is their go to game when deciding who has to leave the comfort of the blankets and go to the kitchen for snacks.
wheein works the latest out of the four of them so everyone else is always home before her. on particular days where she comes home especially late, yongbyulhwa are always there to welcome her home with snacks, kisses, and free shoulder massages. they treat her like a princess in order to show their appreciation for how hard she works for them.
byul and yong work at the same office and it is really chaotic with their coworkers. yong gets regular reports from them saying byul is cheating on her and they saw her kissing some other girl outside of work. little do they know the reason yong is never mad is because all they see is byul out on dates with wheesa. yong always makes sure to come home and ‘yell’ at byul for cheating on her.
they’ve given up on keeping their own clothes at this point. now it’s if you see something you like in the closet, just wear it. they all like wearing wheein’s clothes the most because it’s mostly oversized hoodies and t-shirts.
hyejin doesn’t hesitate to hog the bathroom even though they only have one. because of this they’ve grown accustom to being in the bathroom together. one could be in the shower while two others are brushing their teeth. speaking of brushing teeth, they all have the cutest matching tooth brushes with their initials signed towards the bottom of it.
they do all sleep together, but it gets difficult at times. their bed isn’t exactly fit for four people so the slightest movement can change the whole layout of their positions. it’s always a competition to not getting stuck in the middle to avoid being cuddled to death especially in the summer.

Haven
"Promise me you will try to stay up a little longer tonight?"
"Yes."
Of course Yongsun had fallen asleep the second her head hit the pillow this evening as well.
Byulyi had always found that fascinating.
While her mind was still racing after a successful concert, Yongsun would simply shut down and give into her body's state of exhaustion. It was probably healthier this way since they barely got enough sleep during promotion times or concert days, but Byulyi simply wasn't able to do that.
She played on her phone a little before she decided that it was no use. She wouldn't fall asleep any time soon.
Byulyi turned her head after she heard Yongsun mumble something incoherent and had to grin when she saw that the other woman was playing around with her hair again.
Amused she remembered the night where she had stayed up just to prove to Yongsun that she was really doing this. To her surprise the leader didn't get angry about her waking her. She simply let out a little "oh?" and then went back to sleep. With that their argument was settled.
Byulyi decided to shuffle a little closer to the other woman.
Her heart swelled with love as her eyes travelled over Yongsun's face.
Looking at her while she slept had something so vulnerable to it that it had almost made her cry when she had done it the first time many years ago. In these moments everything seemed so peaceful. All worries were pushed aside and nothing besides the present mattered.
It was just the two of them. No pretending for the cameras, no acting for other people.
She had always appreciated it when someone was comfortable enough to sleep in her presence, and even now, after being at Yongsun's side for so many years, she had never stopped being grateful for her and the love she offered her.
Byulyi focused on her slightly opened mouth and simply had to marvel at how beautiful her lips were.
How kissable.
Be it short pecks or long passionate kisses, whenever her lips met Yongsun's her world began to spin.
She noticed the way her nose crinkled for a moment as she took a deep breath and Byulyi thought about how many times she had poked her nose while calling her cute. Often this had led to Yongsun pushing her, or giving her light hits against her arm, but over the years she had become more and more open.
Now Yongsun fully welcomed Byulyi's loving attention and wasn't too shy to admit that she enjoyed being the center of her universe every now and then.
In this moment Kim Yongsun's face showed the innocence only sleep could bring. She was relaxed, there was no need for furrowed brows or the occasional frown that showed up whenever she was unsatisfied with something.
And, god, Byulyi thought, she was so so beautiful.
Sure, there were a lot of women who were pretty, but no one except for Yongsun had ever taken away her breath like that.
She was ethereal, like the gods themselves had decided to give perfection a human face.
Every time Yongsun would criticize something about her appearance and Byulyi was in earshot she would chime in and try to fend off these negative thoughts.
"But my cheeks are so chubby!"
"They are perfect the way they are. They are a part of you, a good one. I love them and everyone else does as well," she quickly leaned in and placed a kiss on one of them. "and kissing them is a dream."
Byulyi dared extending a hand and tracing her cheek with the tip of her index finger.
She loved her so much.
Yongsun had helped her through so many dark moments of her life. She had held her when she was crying, told her to get her shit together when it was needed and always tried her best to be a fair and good friend and romantic partner.
There were moments in her life when she thought she couldn’t go on, but with Yongsun everything was a little less scary and a bit easier to overcome.
She had always been her savior. Her light.
So lost in her thoughts she only realized that Yongsun had opened her eyes and was looking at her just as calmly after a few moments.
"You really should consider sleeping instead of staring holes into me," she teased her when Byulyi's cheeks turned a little red upon being caught.
"I know, I just got a little carried away."
Yongsun held up her own blanket. "Turn the lights off and come here. I'll help you fall asleep."
A few moments later Byulyi found herself safely wrapped into Yongsun's arms. She sighed content as she snuggled a little closer into her side.
"Better?" The singer mumbled, trying her best to stay awake for as long as Byul needed her.
"Much."
Silence settled in and Byulyi noted that sleep finally seemed to be approaching her. She didn't want to give in immediately though. There was something that she needed to say first.
"I love you and I am so proud of you," she whispered and placed a small kiss against Yongsun's skin.
She felt her girlfriend's arms tighten around her.
"I love you too and I am proud of you as well. Especially how far you've come with your singing."
Both smiled widely for a few moments and only seconds later they had fallen asleep.

4 - cafe
"Is this seat taken?"
Yong looked up from her phone. Byul stood over the table, smiling innocently at the older woman, both hands carrying their drinks. They were sitting together just a minute ago, playing with each other’s hands, before the barista called their name.
Yong quickly racked her brain to see if she wanted to play along or not. Then, why not?
“Sorry, it's my friend's,” she replied with a syrupy voice. (They both cringed.) “You can probably sit over there?" She pointed to a table in the back corner.
The back table was empty and, most importantly, Yong-less. Byul opened her mouth in shock and gave Yong the side-eye while Yong laughed at her reaction.
"Well, guess your friend will have to grab another chair." Byul pouted and placed the drinks down--a fruit smoothie for Yong, an iced chocolate for herself. She pulled out the chair.
"No! It’s my friend’s!”
"Well, where is she?” Her voice rose, and she opened her arms with her palms up as if asking for evidence.
"In the bathroom!"
Byul never wanted to both face-palm and kiss the woman in front of her so bad. She rolled her eyes and sat down against the other person’s wishes. Even in their fake arguments, they couldn’t help but get a rise out of each other.
"It's been a long time, no one’s here!"
"Sometimes she has difficulties going, okay?"
Byul almost spat out her drink as Yong giggled and clapped at her own response. A few patrons turned their head at the commotion.
"Unnie! Who are you talking about?” Byul demanded with a laugh.
"Sorry, sorry." Yong fanned herself, but the telltale signs of her excitement screamed at Byul. Yong took in a breath and Byul braced for the continuation: "I’m talking about my friend! Maybe if she ate more yogurt, you know?"
Byul winced, while Yong watched with wide eyes and a prideful grin.
They continued for a while more. Yong kept going deeper and deeper into this tangent as Byul almost regretted initiating this conversation. The topic went from yogurt, to digestive health, to smoothie recipes and the importance of fiber.
Yong placed the plastic cup of smoothie at the center of the table as if to demonstrate. The ingredients that went into this drink were rich in vitamins, she explained. More importantly, since the fruits were blended up instead of juiced, it contained the same amount of nutrients as if eating the fruits itself.
This smoothie, chosen specifically by Yong, was an ideal and "fun" source of nutrients. As if demonstrating to school children, she took an exaggerated sip and gave a loud "Mmm!" while holding eye contact with Byul. Isn't this fun? her eyes said.
Times with Yong were fun and happy. Byul acknowledged the fun-ness of that smoothie and prodded Yong to keep going. What was most fun to her, though, was Yong.
Watching Yong was like watching a one-woman show, just for her. Her world was a fantastical mix of facts she learned, deductions about this and that, and wonder about things she still didn’t understand. Byul could only admire as the baby-faced leader unleashed to the world what went on inside of her perfectly-shaped head.
Times with Yong were fun and happy. Watching her, in this cafe where no one knew them, where patrons failed to hide how intrigued they were at the ramblings of this madwoman, Byul felt happy, too.
