This too! I took the option to opt out because that scene was way too much for me, I really appreciate the sense of respect Disco Elysium has for people that can't handle some of the topics it covers.

I didn't realize it until later but I absolutely adore how this is basically an in universe trigger warning for the conversation about Lely's tattoos (which I appreciate very much because jesus fucking christ that conversation was. A lot.) You can also back out of it at any time, the game doesn't force you to keep listening if you're uncomfortable.

It's a small moment but this is a good example of why I think Disco Elysium manages to get really dark with its subject matter while never feeling like it's dipping into shock value territory. It's also super impressive how the writing is so good that it manages to give a trigger warning to the audience without feeling out of place or breaking immersion.

FINALLY!

Took long enough but its done at last. After seeing @monsterultra-peachykineema 's knitted version, and being completely unwilling to spend mad duckets on a jacket I'd never wear, i was inspired to crochet myself a kim cardigan instead!

The sleeves are a touch too long on me but ITS FINE THEY'RE FINE LMAO. They're gonna get pushed up anyway because i prefer my sleeves 3/4 OR covering my hands so this is the best of both worlds. The back patch looks slightly skeewhiff but i promise you it's centered lol

No proper modelled shots of the finished thing yet due to hubstand being busy but here's a shot from once the main construction was done

For reference, hubstand is five ten and slim and has already claimed it as their own 😑

It comes in six sizes from xs to 3xl, and you can mix and match the size of the panels (i made the front two in 3xl and the back in 2xl), and the seller is SO SO HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY like seriously i messaged her so many times in confusion and she could not have been nicer

Overall im pretty happy with how it turned out, especially for my first actual crocheted garment. Tho now i never want to crochet ever again 😂😂😂

Floral Green by Title Fight: This was a toss up with Hyperview and Shed, but Floral Green was my introduction to this band (please come back), and hearing the song Head in the Ceiling Fan for the first time was a religious experience to me. I AM gonna get a tattoo about this album. Once I think of something. Eventually.

Belongs to the Dead by Tigers Jaw: This album genuinely is what got me through high school. I thiiiink this is my most-listened to album ever? The vocals are so quietly devastating, I really can't describe it well enough. I always come back to it and I would kill to have a physical copy.

Translating the Name by Saosin: (I know this is an EP not a full album but shhh) I liked this quite a bit before I saw Saosin live earlier this month—but when I saw them live!—I've just become even more obsessed with it. They played most of this EP, and (not that my sample size is particularly exhaustive) it was the best time I've had at a show ever!! I got to speak to Anthony Green too, he was incredibly kind and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Anywayyy, EP super good, highly recommend.

Just Got Back from the Discomfort—We're Alright by The Brave Little Abacus: One of my favourite albums ever. I have been completely enamoured with this album for years now, the lyricism is so layered and intriguing, I love how the ideas are abstracted so that your understanding of it builds every time you listen to it. I can't get anyone else to listen to this one though, one of my irl friends caught me listening to it once and called it horrendous lmao. Like I get it's not the most accessible thing ever but this album is everything to me.

I'd like to include some honorary mentions as well: Get Disowned by Hop Along, Pictures of Your Pets by Newgrounds Death Rugby, and Divorce Lawyers I Shaved My Head by Jordaan Mason. Listen to them all it'll make your life better.

Anything you recently watched or played: Just watched Scream 2 with some friends over discord. Not really my thing but still had fun! Saw Across the spider verse and asteroid city in theaters and adored them both. I’ve also been playing modded minecraft hehe

Anything you want to watch or play: Really want to play the cyberpunk dlc but it’s not gonna be out for a bit. Sims 4 is also about to put out a new expansion pack. Comes with horses and goats… I’ll probably not be able to resist.
