Hi Guys,
I understand why Riri took Anzu favourite video games and chocolate but why take her pet cat Momohiki? I understand video games and chocolate are very addictive and hard to break but removing her only furry friend would be a little harsh and hard to deal.

Riri/Rio x Reader
“Rio x Reader
Tumblr media
Fandom:Romantic Killer
Omg I just realized this was the first Romantic Killer fanfic on tumblr , Im honored:D
“Noooo! Where did you put Momohiki?!Bring him back!”You whined in desperation as your eyes scattered around the room with your precious cat no where to be seen.
“Don’t worry , he’s up there!” giggles pointing on top of a high shelf where Momohiki sleeps.
You looked at them with the stink eye and they smiled ear to ear maliciously knowing damn well he did that again to get on your nerves but you sighed in response.
“I told yaaa , remember I said that when you don’t make any romantic progress you’ll lose your three desires again?Or did you forget hehe!?”He teases you.
“Oh shut it!” You yelled in laughter grabbing the closest thing you can find , a pillow to throw in their face , throwing it will all your force.
“Heyyyyyy!”They dodged and it landed against the wall , they picked up the pillow you threw against the wall to throw back at you which ended up hitting your face resulting into a pillow fight.
Both of you started grabbing random pillows from the bed , mercilessly beating each other with them , they holler childishly in laughter as you started to chase them all around the room.
But then as soon as you got a couple of inches close enough to hit them you stepped on a pillow , your foot slipped and you tumbled over with Rio falling right after you.
“Ouch!✷✷✷”
“Owww , that hurt. Y/N are you okay?” They groaned in pain , his entire body shielded the impact of your face slamming on the ground.
“I should be asking you that question. But I’m fine..” Blinking a bit  , you were about to get up but then you felt something bulge like that you were cupping against the hand of your palm and considering that the position of where your arm was it was obvious what you were touching.
Your eyes widened as you realized the position the both of you were in and you sprang up almost instantly in a flurried movement.
“AHH!” Shrieking in fear of what was going on you jumped back onto the wall of the book case hitting your back against it , a book on the shelf fell onto the ground in response , you hyperventilate a little trying to process what the fuck just happened while your heart still beats in a fast rate.
Your face turns into a faint crimson , you kind of knew cause of how hot your face felt. Your body went stiff for a second , you were blushing? I mean who could blame you for being so flushed but what was worse is that it was painfully obvious.
Author’s Note:I’m probably gunna make a part two to this so please tell me what you think! And if I should continue!

Tumblr media
— |☆| Okay, so, with Leonardo already having some sort of a petty banter with Donnie, despite their relationship being- well, positive, I can that positivity slowly drain out between the twins the more Leo see's Ash hang out, and eventually fall in love, with his twin brother- rather, well, him.
— |☆| Maybe irritation will begin to grow in his mind, although, at first- I doubt that he would notice that he was catching feeling's for Ash and instead, he would just think that he, once more, needs to beat Donnie to something. And that something is getting closer to Ash and prove to his beloved twin brother that they would rather be near him instead.
— |☆| So, yeah, he would get quite competitive and that need to show the them that, 'hey, I'm the better friend' would grow the longer Ash continues to warm up to Donnie. Oh, Donnie gives 'em a whole lotta praise for their work? He will double it, maybe even try to show some enthusiasm towards their inventions and stuff. Genuine enthusiasm that is. He might even not run away if they have some sort of, erm, speech mode. Which is something that has yet to happen with his twin. He might just sit back and attempt to understand their rambles, either from close up, or from afar. Perhaps his portals would help with him and act as a way to listen to their explanations, or well- anything about them. And if Ash is hanging out with Donnie while doing well, their own thing? He sent subtle, yet somewhat nasty glares towards his way.
— |☆| Now, as he begins to learn more about it the young kappa, noting down their interests and preferences, or maybe the things they dread, I feel like he would use that information to his advantag. He might make a couple adjustments to his personality. Although, those little changes are not that noticeable, just enough to ensure that Ash will show some sort of interest in him. Or just noticeable enough to make them feel more comfortable in his presence. Comfortable enough so he can take matters into his own hands in order to develop their relationship further. He might as well cook up a couple of one-liners using their likings to make them laugh. Maybe puns about science or something. If they laugh at least one of his jokes, his heart might skip a beat or two. He might get a small boost to joke around more, along with the impression that his one-liners may be one of the few things that make them show positivity. And he feels honoured by this. Of course, he makes sure to avoid anything that makes queasy or uncomfortable. Or anything that could potentially trigger them. Not now at least, it's not the time.
— |☆| If progress is made, he would most likely be pleased- however, that pleasure could be thrown out the window if he catches them hanging out and getting, much to his concern, all lovey-dovey with Donatello. That's where envy starts to kick in, along with the worry and perhaps frustration that the development he has made meant nothing in comparison to how Ash acts around Donnie. However, he would do a pretty good job at hiding away his jealousy. He may butt in in their conversation or whatever, rolling an arm over Ash's shoulder and maybe start throwing a couple of small, playful yet- embarrassing things about Donnie in a little attempt to humiliate him in front of them. Though, he would have to deal with an angry and embarrassed purple clad fighting off the urge to snap his neck or something, however- he doesn't really care.
— |☆| Those little quips and information that could potentially shame Donnie don't really stop at embarrassing moments that happened throughout his life span as they slowly escalate into erh, little warnings. Warnings that Leo gives to Ash in order to try and distance them away from his brother. Y' know light little rumours and stuff, while in parallel-y making sure that he doesn't seem overbearing to them. He wants them to feel distrustful of Donnie. However, as long as that stupid impression he has made on Ash disappears, he doesn't mind.
— |☆| Alongside with those little rumours, he also goes to Donnie- expressing his displeasure of him spending so much time with Ash. Oh, you thought straightforwardly? No no. He does it through small quips- that may seem playful at first, though, if you look past that little grin he flashes every once in a while, a grin that begins to falter with each 'joke', you would see the slightest hints of anger lingering somewhere along with his facial expressions, as well as a hissy like tone that hangs on the end of his words. He might give a couple of physical warnings as well, for example, putting his hand on Donnie's shoulder and start squeezing it just a tad bit too hard because he won't stop yapping-yapping to Ash about, anything really. Or maybe because they are just acting a bit too lovey towards each other.
— |☆| Anger that steadily, but surely, evolves into jealous rage as it's slowly becoming evident to him that he might just not be able to rip them away from eachother. It's also clear to him that the two may be..ewgh, in 'love'. So he can't do much to break them apart. Not with the use of small-talk at least.
— |☆| Now, the urge to show some seriousness with his threats is beginning to engulf his mind. He pushes it back as much as he can, although it's complicated to do so, especially if his efforts have gone directly into the dumpster. Maybe it's time for him to act out, some of his threats and things that he has in mind, starting with the more 'light' ones such as, purposely messing with Donatello's gifts and inventions. Y'know, stuff that he wanted and worked hard for to give to his lover. He might take apart some parts and bits, or maybe even program them to go ham. Maybe he will sweep in the area while the machine that Donnie wanted to show to his partner begins to fume and go crazy and in an attempt to 'save the day' he might just teleport them out of that area. Or just teleport Ash away- setting aside the fact that since they are amazing with technology and in case they want to help fix it- they can't, since they are teleported to safety.. Well, the safety of his room that is.-
|☆| And messing up his twin's gifts and separating him away from his so called 'lover' is one thing.. No, I'm not implying murder here. I doubt that he would kill his own twin, or any of his brothers for that matter- however, his way of getting rid of Donnie in this dire situation of jealousy is different. Maybe he will portal him somewhere unknown- and far from the lair. He paints this up as accidentally getting Donnie 'portal jacked' if the rest of his family start asking questions about the genius's whereabouts. He won't send him directly to New York, but also not far away from the city. Of course, he will let him have his gear- and stuff, but let's just say, he made sure that it's going to be complicated to get back in the lair before, well, Leo wins over Ash's heart. Or just convinces them that Donnie may not feel the way they thought he had about them. Sure, he may feel liable for the way he acted. Although, he still can't help but let the jealousy over-wash whatever reluctance that's trying to seep into his brain.
— |☆| Well, now since Donnie is erm, 'gone'- might as well he try to give Ash some comfort or some sort of reassurance. Maybe reassurance that Donnie will come back, or more likely- he reassures them that he won't, so their best option is hang out with him and be in his presence while their lover is gone. He would try to take his place as being their partner, though this time- since his patience is basically on the verge of cracking, he most likely wouldn't hide his actual emotions and wants from them through small jokes or subtle threats.
— |☆| Now, if Ash doesn't believe him, or doesn't accept his 'reassurance' and takes matters in their own hands to go search for Donnie, maybe with the help of their pet dragon Plutonium- that might just be his tipping point. He sees this as a way of them trying to distance themselves away from him. Although, that's silly right? They've already made progress in escalating their relationship into something positive- he has, as well ported them to safety multiple times when a failed invention of that damned twin of his started fuming- and- and more !! So why would they need their 'oh-so-lovely-partner' with them ?! And especially after all of his tries.. He feels betrayed by his own actions.
— |☆| So, with a raged-envy filled heart, he absent mindedly portals them to his room. He, for a moment, thinks of porting Plutonium away, perhaps in far away junk-mine, though, he doesn't do that- since he is practically like Ash's child. Maybe he will if the giant dragon-bot tries to tear him apart in an order to help it's parent- aka Ash.
— |☆| If they try to fight back, as a punishment- like my Donnie headcanon, he resort to isolation. Though he doesn't leave Ash completely alone, just a couple of hours maybe, letting that little voice in their head tell them to do worse and worse things. Letting it torment their head for a little while. It's like he is dealing with a 'Savage Raph' though he is not worrying that their situation might get worse- neither does he worry about where to find them.
- |☆| But of course, once he senses that they might just be at their breaking point, he will swoop in and try to soothe them, using ways that his twin used in order to rid them of such thoughts. He will obviously slip in some of his own ways of comfort towards them, one of them being cuddling..! Though, I doubt that his 'new-found partner' would appreciate the comfort he is offering to them. Also I further doubt that they would be happy with the new change.

Anzu Hoshino upon meeting Tsukasa Kazuki as her love interest for the first time to Riri: Don't fuck with me I have the power of Momohiki and video games on my side

Why You Should Watch Romantic Killer
This is the new anime series that premiered on Netflix a few days ago! Before you inevitably cancel your subscriptions, give this show a go! Trust me, it'll all be worth it! (I'm personally riding on my sibling's Netflix, so I got to watch it officially!)
Edit: I think it’s important to mention since it’s in the very nature of the show that nobody is actually forced to fall in love with Anzu or vice-versa. It’s all purely consensual in terms of that even though the wacky circumstances are not.
I even made gifs for this post just to convince you, reader of this post!
Tumblr media
Story
A high schooler named Anzu Hoshino is living the life. She has games, chocolate, and a cat named Momohiki. One day, her life is turned upside down by the devil-- I mean wizard, Riri. Riri confiscates her three most prized possessions with the ultimate ultimatum: Fall in love or live life without your most cherished commodities. Living in this awful world, Anzu swears to not fall in love out of pure spite for this arrangement and for Riri, but unfortunately, Riri has plans in store that might make things harder than they seem. (source: me)
For such a nonsensical story, it fricking works. I like it. As someone who's aroace, I feel this. I really do. I don't object romance, but I sure am not looking for it, and I would be pissed and spiteful too if my belongings were taken.
Tumblr media
Characters
Anzu is so much fun. She has got to be my favourite reverse harem protagonist of all time. Her reactions to everything are absolutely priceless, and I love how they incorporate random references. I never thought I'd see Kazuo Umezu face incorporated into a fricking romcom! Characters like her and Bakarina make the genre worth watching (even if Bakarina is too... baka at times). I want everyone to experience this anime without me giving too much away.
The side characters are good in their own right. Sure, Riri is annoying, but that's kind of the point. They canonically don't have a gender so the "they/them" pronouns were used in the subtitles I'm pretty sure. Tsukasa is pretty cold, and I felt indifferent about him until I found out his reasoning for being like that in the last few episodes, and let me just say, whatever you're expecting, it's probably not going to be that. I've never seen a show handle that type of situation for men quite like this RANDOM ROMCOM did. It puts its male characters into situations where they don't need to be strong, and they aren't criticized for it. That right there is positive masculinity. I like it. It diverts the idea of traditional macho masculinity, especially those of archetypes in dating sims. The characters and their dynamics actually seem pretty natural for such an unnatural situation and setting.
Tumblr media
Music
Yooo, that soundtrack fricking fits. I like it. Sure, it doesn't stand out, but with the absurdity of this series, I'd be lying if I didn't laugh when a certain string track came on. I don't even think that was the point (I think it's supposed to be when the audience swoons).
That ending theme fricking slaps harder than it needs to. I watched the opening once. Look, that opening skip button is so tempting. I only watched the ending once, but it was the background music for the voice actor interviews, so I got to know it better.
Voice acting
YOOOO, THIS IS THE PART I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT. Sure, they hired your local "ikemen" to play the "ikemen" characters, but can we talk about Rieri for a second? She makes this show good. Her and Mikako Komatsu apparently auditioned in a pair, and you can see, hear, and feel that chemistry. It is absolutely fantastic. Not many anime have had me laughing out loud, but I kid you not, I laughed a few times watching this. And yes, Umehara and Gakuto did sound good. I will give them credit where it's due. They did fulfill the ikemen part really well. Almost too well.
Tumblr media
Art
You know what? Even though the art was pretty mediocre, I'm going to give it a pass. It's hard to make a coloured manga. And it's hard to make an anime look good. Plus, they probably spent all of the budget on Anzu's face to the point where the guys look mediocre at best and can only be given "ikemen status" based on their voices alone.
Conclusion
I get why this anime might be a bit mixed in the aroace community, but I think we should enjoy media as it's handed to us. And what was handed to us is a genuinely good show that requires zero brain cells until the last half! Zero brain cells? That's me too!
Unlike most of the shows that I watch, I will rewatch this. Without a doubt. I'm rewatching it as we speak. Even for specific moments that made me laugh.

Mini-Review: Romantic Killer
Living her best single life, romance is the last thing on Anzu’s mind — until a tiny match-making wizard suddenly turns her life into a clichéd romcom.
Came across a trailer for this and then said, "That's either going to be really good, or really bad." My companion agreed and suggested I test it out and let them know whether it was terrible or not.
Tumblr media
Anzu Hoshino is a high schooler with no interest in romance, preferring to spend her free time playing games, eating chocolate, and enjoying the presence of her beloved cat, Momohiki. Unfortunately, when she tries a new game one day, it turns out to be crap, used by a magical creature named Riri as a way to introduce Anzu's new life: due to Japan's declining birthrate, the romantically-uninterested Anzu's life is going to be like a dating sim until she falls in love with someone! And if she doesn't? Say goodbye to Momohiki forever.
Anzu's reaction is understandable.
Tumblr media
So, back to my initial hesitancy: "you have to fall in love! Heterosexual relationships are the goal" is obviously a really skeevy theme, and when you're a person who is always happy with aromantic and/or asexual representation in fiction (hi, it's me, I'm a person), it can make you leery. And Anzu can definitely be read as aro/ace, but what's interesting is that you don't have to, the setup is patently absurd and knows it's ridiculous regardless of her orientation.
Some mysterious wizard council decided that a 10th grader needed to be in a romantic relationship or risk losing things she loved. It's compulsory heterosexuality: this character could be aro, ace, aro/ace, gay, or even just a ~15-year-old straight girl who currently has no interest in dating or romance. All of those options are viable, completely normal, and drive home how fucked up the concept of "threaten a teenager so she'll eventually get pregnant" is. (To be clear, the show doesn't dwell on anything beyond "you need to be in a romantic relationship," but even there it's clear that the show recognizes this is a ridiculous proposition.)
Tumblr media
Anzu is impossible not to like: she's a happy, healthy teen who really likes what she likes (gaming, chocolate, cats), doesn't care much about what others think but isn't a misanthrope, and her reaction to being told "treat your life like a dating sim or never see your cat again" is to swear revenge on the wizard and do everything in her power to avoid engaging with any of the concocted plots, even as they reach cheap-fiction levels of believability, much to her disgust.
Potential love interest has to move in with her because of Reasons? Time to be Unattractive!
Tumblr media
And the thing is, because of Anzu's determination to never get anywhere close to a romantic scenario, the people she meets are able to understand she's a safe person to be around--the first guy she meets, for instance is always having girls ask him out or try to get close--and engage with her without having to worry about hidden motives.
Anzu's determination means she is committed to not putting on a facade, which lets her personality and character shine through. Add to that some Riri-concocted scenarios that force Anzu to spend time with other characters in improbable situations, and what you get is a really, really fun and often-humorous story.
Tumblr media
The guys themselves also turn out to be good, fun characters. They get introduced to the plot as obvious love interests, but none of them were conjured out of magic and thus they all have their own reasons to continuing to be around Anzu (although the continual magic contrivances of Riri certainly help them keep their exposure up anyway).
Tumblr media
The ironic thing is that Riri's terrible game definitely does enrich Anzu and Kazuki's (potential love interest #1) lives, without question: Anzu gains new friends she enjoys spending time with, Kazuki does too, in a way that he's not been able to enjoy with many people before. The other potential love interests' lives are similarly enriched...but it's never because of romance! Really, this show is a good look at the power of friendship and just community in general.
Tumblr media
And while Anzu probably would've been fine if the whole thing had never happened--while she was kinda a loner after-school, there's no evidence that she was harming herself or setting up any future problems (which is, obviously, part of what makes the wizards' scenario so stupid)--Kazuki is a different matter. I don't want to say much because of spoilers, but it's clear early on that he's not just a loner because of his personality, but he's lived through some dark experiences that makes him want to stay away from any kind of relationship talk too.
Tumblr media
It's great, and while the story wraps up nicely, I would watch so much more.
Please, I am begging the Powers That Be: give us a season 2 where Anzu and the gang go after the wizard council. Friend hijinks and cartoon violence, it's a match made in heaven. Please.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Verdict
English dub? Yes!
Visuals: Shiny and modern! Except for Riri's game, but that's intentionally bad. Anzu's many faces are very funny as well.
Worth watching? Yes. And I would watch another season, even though the story wrapped up fine. Give me more of this lovely friend group of weirdos who love each other.
Where to watch (USA, as of March 2023): Netflix (sub and dub)

hey!! i saw you liked romantic killer!! thats on my to watch list; do you mind telling me a little bit about it :3
OMG YES ITS MY COMFORT SHOW OMG!!! ITS SO SILLY <333
Ok its basically a reverse harem anime thats just oh so good omg
It's about a teenager named Anzu whose three favorite things are chocolate, video games, and her cat (Momohiki). So things happen and she ends up in a irl dating sim by a small little stress balled sized wizard named Riri. Who takes Anzu's favorite things away for the sake of romance.
Anyway to get her things back she needs to not fall in love and she just doesn't have an interest in dating. Riri makes her have these strange and silly situations with these "hot" guys. Anzu again has no interest in dating them but instead becoming great friends with them.
It shows how important platonic relationships are and Anzu is so aro/ace coded imo and they are just all in a platonic relationship trust me bro. But the last few episodes get pretty dark fyi (i won't spoil it but be careful around like ep 10)

So I did something and I had to write something for this prompt!
I guess this is set after the end of season 1
———-
Kazuki never lends her things unless it’s necessary.
That’s one thing Anzu knows, and it’s something she’s gotten used to over the time he’s been living with her.
Riri had tried to experiment with this and she nearly ended up with a broken nose due to the lampost that happened to be near (Anzu did kick them out after that)
The only time it did happen was when it was raining heavily, and she’d forgotten her coat so Kazuki had lent her his for the journey home.
“Keep it, I’ll take it back when the rain dies down. I know you’ll probably end up forgetting yours again.”
He had said to Anzu.
The redhead smiled brightly giving her thanks to the taller teen as they continued to walk along the path.
————-
When they had gotten back to the house Anzu had rushed to check up on her goods (meaning momohiki and her stash of chocolates)
She realises she’s still as ironic as it is wearing Kazuki’s coat, and her hand fishes out the little red iPod.
“Well, it won’t hurt to see what kinda music he listens to right?” Anzu mumbles
Pressing the small buttons the teen notices in the white font her name, specifically:
A playlist for Anzu ❤️
The little heart emoji gets hers beating ten times faster, how cute a playlist for her!
Wait this is kazuki we’re talking about sure he has a soft side but naming a playlist for her HOLY CRAP?!
Was this one of Riri’s schemes or was it actually Kazuki himself?!
Anzu did kinda like it though if she was gonna be honest, it made her heart skip a little and obviously on a good way.
“Damn Kazuki, why you gotta be so cute sometimes.”
She has very sweet dreams that night does Anzu and can’t wait to listen to the music he associates with her.
————
And it is done, sorry if it’s out of character or just bad but let me know if you want to see more!!

I Need To Do What?! - Part 6
Part 6 - The Night Before Judgement Day
Anzu's POV:
It was the night before judgement day.
Fortunately or unfortunately, it landed on a Saturday.
Anzu knew she was a nervous wreck. Rio was awkwardly sitting in her chair, watching as she paced like a caged animal.
"Why can't I choose someone? Pretend to date so the council is satisfied?" she asked for the umpteenth time making Rio sigh.
"You know they can detect fake love. Wizards haven't been around for millennia to be fooled by a single human girl," he replied.
"But- but how do you even know you love someone? You can't just force someone to fall in love!" Anzu shrieked, clutching her hair.
"Under the right circumstances, it's entirely possible," Rio muttered mildly, looking at his fingernails.
"You're not helping me at all! Don't you have some jumbo jumbo gadget to gauge my feelings or lack thereof? What is going to happen tomorrow?" Anzu shrieked, shaking Rio till his head lolled like a broken doll.
"Only the council has an emotion reading machine. They will assess your feelings tomorrow," Rio said decisively with a nod.
"Such a thing actually exists?!" Anzu shrieked, feeling a tidal wave of apprehension hit her.
Anzu hunkered down by the side of her bed with her head clutched in her hands.
What was she going to do?
How was anyone supposed to know what they felt?
Especially a teenage who had never once been in love before?
How did people recognize the emotion for what it was?
Anzu knew she was capable of love.
She loved her parents.
Her sweet cat, Momohiki was another object of her affections.
Inanimate objects such as video games and chocolate were never classified under the category of love. They were necessary for her very survival. She needed them like the very oxygen she breathed but in those dark days, she proved she could live without them all.
Everything she held dear was ripped apart from her overnight and she still survived.
Did that mean she didn't love her parents, cat and games that much?
Anzu didn't understand what wizards called love.
Rio did say that the whole point of this endeavor was to increase Japan's population.
Oh. My. God!
"Rio!" she gasped suddenly.
"Anzu?" he asked concerned. He was crouching in front of her, poking her cheek, not that she noticed. Anzu batted his hand away.
"Why are you wizards spending so much time getting me to fall in love? You do realize that not every loving couple in a relationship wants kids, right?" Anzu asked fixing him with a cold stare.
"Uh..."
Rio's eyes widened as he followed her line of thought.
"If this love scheme doesn't work out, what do your people plan to do?" she inquired in dangerously quiet voice.
Rio gulped.
He played with his fingers as he spoke.
"Um, I don't think the council thought that far ahead. Wizards - they can't interfere with your free will. We live long lives and it's frustrating to watch humanity plummet before your very eyes. They just want to make a difference where they see fit. Plus, it gives us something fun to do!" he exclaimed, waving his wand around.
Anzu pondered his words, trying to push the darker images of wizards trying to breed humans like cattle for their amusement.
What did you expect?
She was a Non Heroine for a reason!
Anzu stymied down as she continued her meandering thoughts.
She thought of Tsukasa, Junta, Hijiri and Rio. They were her close friends and she would do anything for them. Hell, she would even help them bury a body and lie in a court of law if push came to shove. Anzu wondered why her thoughts were darker than usual today. She blamed the blasted wizards for their nosy, interfering ways.
If Tsukasa or one of the others left her, it would hurt. She wouldn't mind if she could meet them whenever she wanted and could just talk over the phone. She wasn't that attached to the hip with them, but she truly valued their friendship.
If their relationship was destroyed, if they could no longer remember her, if they simply passed by her in a crowd without a sparing a glance her way or worse, they had no spark of recognition, it would be like getting shot in the heart. Only she would remember their friendship. All their inside jokes, taunts, camaraderie!
It was the cruelest punishment of all!
Anzu spent many days worrying over this mess but she was no closer to an answer than she was before.
"Anzu, why are you on the floor?"
She lifted her head to look at Junta who was peering down at her.
"Hey! Why are you crying? Rio? What happened?" he demanded, crouching down to pick her up. He sat down with her on the bed. Anzu noticed Tsukasa look at her with concern as he sat beside them.
Rio sighed and sat on the ground.
"She's upset because the council is going to decide whether you all get to keep your memories of Anzu or not tomorrow," he replied sounding more down trodden than ever.
Anzu wailed as she heard the words out loud. No matter how many times she heard it, it still hurt.
She closed her eyes at the twin exclamations of surprise. Guess the truth was going to come out whether she liked it or not.
---
An hour later, Anzu was surprised to find Hijiri among them. Secrecy meant nothing when the wizard council was planning to do something potentially malicious to them.
"Let me get this straight. Anzu has to fall in love by tomorrow or we all will lose our memories of her?" Hijiri inquired Rio, eyeing him intensely.
Rio nodded slowly, biting at his hangnail.
"Anzu," Hijiri crouched in front of her, holding her gaze steady.
"Do you love Tsukasa, Junta, Rio and me?"
"I do love you all," she replied without hesitation.
"I just don't know if I'm in love with you. What does romantic love feel like? I don't understand!" she cried closing her face with her hands.
"Do you enjoy spending time with us?"
"Yes."
"Do you like holding hands with us? And the occasional kiss?"
All the guys leaned forward to hear her reply.
Anzu blushed under their scrutiny and closed her eyes.
"Yes."
"Do you have fun with us around? Even if all we do is sit and watch tv?"
"Yes."
"Do you miss us when we aren't around?"
"Of course, I do."
"I'd say that you are ready for being in a romantic relationship with any one of us. All that's holding you back is hurting the feelings of those you haven't chosen," Hijiri replied with a shrug.
"The wizards' plan backfired. She can't move forward because you placed her in a stalemate. You were being thorough by providing her options like an otome game but real life doesn't work out in such a way," he explained.
Anzu, Rio, Tsukasa and Junta stared dumbfounded by Hijiri's simplified explanation.
"The wizards should cut their losses and move to a new subject. Only time will tell how this relationship will pan out in the future. Wizards are not as clever as I would've expected them to be," he went on with a casual flip of his hair.
"What do we do tomorrow?" Anzu asked quietly.
"We meet them as a united front and confront them on the idiocy of their ways. I, for one, will not tolerate for my brilliant mind to be addled by mythical beings," he answered placidly, taking a sip from his cup of tea.
Anzu couldn't believe that it would be as simple as confronting them with the flaw in their plan.
But a girl could hope.

What's noragi?
A kimono for farm work that was often worn in farming villages until the early Showa period. The Japanese kimono is not divided into upper and lower sections, the cloth is joined in front of the body and an obi is wrapped around the waist... The noragi, worn for farm work, has a separate upper and lower layer. While kimonos have wide open cuffs, most noragii have narrow sleeves and below the knees.

The shape of the garment varies depending on the era and region. (The shape of the garment varies from period to period and region to region (monpe, tatsutsuke, sarumata = momohiki..).

Because they are work clothes, they naturally get dirty (and rice cultivation is a muddy process). (And rice cultivation is done in the mud.) Therefore, they were worn for a long time by making good use of leftover cloth and mending any tears. The result is so cool!

I really wanted to repair them in a cool way and make them into pants that could be worn even today, but I am 151cm tall and of medium height, and they are too thin and tight. How petite the old Japanese were! I don't think I could move in these. Let's hear the voice of this cloth!
