Hi, I would like to ask, is there any chance that you would continue your fic "I walked with you once"?. I really love the plot and I haven't read any soulmate au that's like it. When I read it, there's a shiver down my spine when I imagine what would happen between them. How they would fine each other again despite not knowing each other and just relying on their feelings. It frustrated me when they could've have met if only Shinichi went to the karaoke with Heiji. I would love it if you continue it of course but it's also okay if you won't continue it, I understand that you may have lost interest on it over time.

alas, it's been about three years since i first wrote this fic, and although i remember having extensive conversations about the plot with my friends, I barely remember any of it. I must confess this is one of those stories where i saw a begining and a vague end but I never figured how to get there. And due to the narrative style of this fic (more character interaction, less character analysis), i don't think it's worth waiting 5 years like I did with CC  (*;´□`)ゞ

What's bedtime like with your trainer? You have separate beds, or do you all cram into the same one?

Hello, this is the Trainer of both Ogi and Momo.

Since this question came up, i am more than willing to answer for these two since both are already asleep. A good time to introduce myself to this blog all things considered.

Since Ogi is older than Momo, she can stay up a little longer than him, their nighttime rituals are quite different as well, given their individual needs.

Momo for example gets a nice hot bubble bath every night before bed, because it helps him sleep better. After that i prepare him for sleep time, brush his teeth and massage his little rotund body gently which usually already makes him drowsy enough. What follows is Story Time and a bottle of well temperatured hot coco. His favorite bedtime story is Momotaros journey, go figure *chuckles*. After half of the story the bottle is mostly empty, he then just enjoys the suckling as its very relaxing for him(maybe because of his age, who knows)

He is in bed most days at about 8pm.

Ogi is allowed to have a little screen time before bed, around an hour, sometimes a little less, depending on her behaviour that day. After that, i send her to brush her teeth(and of course control if she really did it, because Ogi tends to fluke with this)and make herself ready for bed. Like Momo she gets a story. After that, around 9pm its bedtime for her as well.

Momo, Ogi and i share a room, both have their own beds, but little Momo prefers to sleep with me in bed. That is why i put a sort of attachable bassinet on my bed so that he can safely sleep there if he decideds to come to me at night. It´s also kinda practical because Momo often has nightmares and needs a lot of cuddling afterwards *smiles*

Ogi mostly sleeps in her own bed, but sometimes she gets jealous of Momo and crams herself in my bed as well, which...is cramped somewhat indeed..but yeah, it´s okay as it is. I wouldn´t change this for anything in the world x)

All the while crying tears of anxiety and embarrassment...I like to think she was met with a standing ovation despite the ugly crying and shrieks she let out while doing it.

She wins but Lal was so put off that she couldn't look Momina in the eyes...her kindness was not mentioning it considering Momina would still be sobbing at the end. All she did was give her a pat on the shoulder while walking past.

Meanwhile she got praise from Colonnello! "Good job, cadet! It's clear you've been practicing!!!" [Being able to maneuver well despite sobbing.]

Momina never wanted to speak of this day again, despite keeping the 1st place prize on a shelf in her room. [Also, despite telling anyone who'd listen to this excruciatingly embarrassing moment.]

Thinking about steddie future where they're both just average guys. No rockstars, no basketball players just two Normal men living a normal life because honestly? they deserve it. They deserve soft domesticity and happiness.

They both have jobs they like but don't love and they're happy with that. Eddie maybe becomes an electrician, working for someone else's company. His coworkers are chill, he gets to get out and work with his hands and that's more than he could have asked for. Steve is a physical therapist, or a manager in some business. He likes his team and the steady hours. He's not working for his dad which is a plus.

They buy a house together, that's not a mansion but it's not a trailer either. Steve does a lot of the dishes because Eddie hates it, hates the feeling of old food on the plates and cutlery. So Eddie will kiss Steve on the cheek and does the laundry because Steve fucking hates laundry. And sitting on the floor watching TV while he folds clothes is honestly sort of relaxing?? Love is doing the chores your partner hates.

Steve and Robin go out for brunch at least once a month, where they catch up and gossip for hours and hours and Steve comes home lighter with updates on Robin and Vickie. Eddie will have nightly phone calls with Wayne, where they talk and laugh and Eddie will eventually hand the phone over to Steve so he and Wayne can talk sports together. When he's in town Dustin will come over and stay in their spare room and they laugh and joke so much it's just like old times. They go over to Jeff's house for dinner on a semi regular basis, and it's nice having normal friends.

They adopt a very annoying cat who will climb all over them in bed and meow in their faces when they don't wake up to feed it breakfast in time. Steve will go for jogs on a Saturday morning, coming home to Eddie reading in bed. Some old western book Wayne recommended to him. There's a steaming cup of coffee waiting on their bedside tables that Eddie's prepared.

They take time off of work and go on a week long vacation because they can do that now. They do dorky touristy things and Eddie buys a mug to send to Wayne. Steve takes a lot of dorky photos of the two of them.

Idk they deserve to be normal and alive and happy with no upside down anymore <3

Oh I love this! I had actually been thinking about tradesman Eddie for a little bit I am so, so glad you’ve come up with this!

I can so completely see him learning a trade and just getting employed and put through his time by a small local employer! He has to go through his exams and that part of it worries him when he first gets the job but his team end up being really supportive and Steve stays up late with him, practicing circuits and wiring and quizzing him on currents and volts. Eddie returning the favour, letting Steve mark up his muscles and be a living anatomy dummy. Sure it gets a little sexy from time to time but more often than not it’s just them testing each other as Steve identifies bones and Eddie talks about parallel circuits.

The monthly brunches mentally and physically revive Steve after working extended hours with patients that he really does want the best for but a jobs a job and it can get pretty tiring. They joke that they rebalance each others chakras but they really do feel realigned after their meet ups. Eddie can see it to, sometimes he’ll come pick them up when it’s been a boozy brunch and delights in seeing them happy and light, clambering over each other to tell Eddie something about one of the waiters or an especially good dish they ordered. When he drops Robin home Steve sits in the front and looks at peace and Eddie feels the same way.

Their weekends are for them, sometimes that means staying home and cleaning the whole place between ordering food in and sometimes that means going on a day trip and taking Wayne around all the antique spots around the county and seeing what horrors they can uncover. Top spot currently sits with Wayne’s find of a doll whose limbs had been replaced with horse legs and had the head of a fish. Of course they bought it.

Every time they go on a holiday they make sure to send postcards to everyone, including themselves, seeing if they’ll get home before the postcard does. Steve keeps them in a photo album, each with a Polaroid of them next to it. Sometimes taken by a stranger, sometimes just a close up of their faces squashed together. It’s Eddie’s favourite thing to go through on their anniversary, or any day really, just loves being reminded that this is the life they get to have.

It’s mundane, dare say even normal, but they love it. Steve comes home every night, happy to put his scrubs in the washing machine next to Eddie’s uniform, happy to be where he feels loved.

I guess you kind of called it in a way, kurogiri is being used to deliver back up troops and save shigaraki, just not the way people were expecting. I’m kind of surprised how fast that aizawa thing was resolved, I was expecting it to get its own chapter.

Well I mean…is he though? Is Kurogiri being used to save Tomura? I wouldn’t so yet anyway*, since no one who’s arrived through a warp gate is here to save Shigaraki. Aizawa, Sero, Satou, Shoji, Koda, Momo, Kaminari, and etc. are all here to save Midoriya and to fight Shigaraki/AFO; I’m not sure how many pros or if any of the kids even know who’s in control or what the distinction is and I’m quite sure none of them care, either one’s the big villain they need to beat. Strictly speaking; everyone on this battlefield besides Deku is a direct threat to Tomura’s safety (including his own body).

Best any of them can do that’d theoretically help Tomura in any way is to buy time while either a) Deku gets his second wind to do something that’ll help free Tomura and undo his screw up, or b) someone (I’m thinking/hoping Kurogiri after he regains control of his facilities) gets the bright idea to warp in people who actually can help save Tomura: the League.

Speaking of; I’m with you there in the resolution of the rooftop trio feeling way too quick just to get them back into the bigger fight. I was hoping they'd get at least a chapter too. And the actual resolution itself, well I’ve ranted about it once already, I expect I’ll rant about it again soon, but suffice to say I found it very lacking. Here's hoping future developments with Kurogiri can make up for it.

*well not in this chapter I mean. He obviously helped save Tomura from AFO the first time along with Spjnner & Toga and I’d like to reiterate that they deserve their credit for that.

hello! this is so thoughtful omg, thank you so much for asking. preordering the book at all is a huge help! more preorders mean there’s a better chance more retailers will want to stock the book, and also lets the publisher know that my work (and hopefully, this kind of story) is something readers are interested in.

i don’t think there’s a specific method of purchase that would benefit me particularly, but i do think this is a lovely opportunity to support an independent bookstore by preordering through them! or if you don’t have the means, requesting it from your local library is always an option.

but again - preordering the book, no matter where or how, means so much. barnes & noble is currently having a 25% off all preorders sale until the 27th, if that interests anybody! i’ve been trying to read more prose novels so i may peruse their collection myself. happy reading!

i believe it’s all the same! i think the main difference in terms of sales is that hardcovers have a higher return - but i’m not hung up about that, so please get the format you prefer! i will actually not begin to get royalties until a certain number of copies have been sold (i don’t know if “earning out” is a concept exclusive to publishing but i’m happy to talk about that another time), and that’s something out of my control so i can only hope the book does well.

all that is to say, no need to worry about the place of purchase! but i’m so touched by this question. thank you! 🥺

my cousin adores your artwork and while i was already going to order a copy for her, i was wondering if ordering a signed version would be possible in the future to order 2 copies; the non-signed for myself and the signed for her. (instead of what i planned which was reading the copy i ordered for her after she read it lol)

omg that’s so sweet of you! HMM ok i looked into this, and i think this is something that can be coordinated with a local bookstore? i think i’d have to come in to sign their stock, and then those signed books could be shipped out. i’ll look into it more but that’s the impression i’m getting!

Hi Junie!! This is such a cute question. Thank you for sending it my way! I decided to draw a picture for the occasion. It's the outfit Momina wears to the sleepover!

In the bag is her medicine, water bottle, ginger ale and snacks for Mimi and Riri...! However, as you can see...Hayato got into that...the menace! She made sure he had his own snacks, too!! To prevent this...!!! So she, of course, takes his snacks to the sleepover. 💁🏾‍♀️✨️ I like to think she would bring somali sugar cookies to Uncle Tsuyoshi as a gift! They look like this:

She'd make sure there was a ton, so of course, Takeshi, Riri, and even Mimi could have some! (Also, yes, Hayato has his own, too.)

I don't know if Riri is into video games, but honestly, Momina would bring her console, controllers, and multiplayer games for them to play just in case! I like thinking the games were mostly Mario related...as a backup, she'd bring cards as well! Otherwise, she is just very excited to be sleeping over and having fun with her dear friends! She'd also let them know that since she is sickly, she apologizes if her coughing bothers them! She's fine to leave early if it does! Really!
