SIMON: Hmmm!! That was some really good soup, and my nerves needed the celery. Thank you. And thanks again so much for forgiving me. You’re good for my sister, Wild. Any you two made a very spirited kid.
SIMON: Ahhh… I was not as fortunate, though. I was forraging for berries for my family…
SIMON: Evan caught me as a Sonee from behind with a Quick Ball.
SIMON: He and his crew force-evolved me to something of their M.S. Paint “design”.
Screen: Troll-velution 3.5
SIMON: I was not the only one caught for their “collection”.
SIMON: They “trained” us with abusive attacks from their level 100 Beedrills.
SIMON: We were all kept locked in cages; mentally dumbed-down with videos of the seriously mentally-challenged.
Man on TV: Duh-er!
SIMON: Over the time, I’ve heard talk of a familiar name. My sister Simonla. I tried to contact her. I found her number on the CWCville Construction Company’s website. I sent her links to the videos of Evan abusing me.
After Simon comes to his senses, he monologues his entire life story to Wild and Sandy, who have presumably seen very little of him aside from immediately following Simonla’s “death”. His life thus far has been rather tragic: as a Sonee (a yellow Sonee, notably, granting further credence to my theory that most Sonees/Roseys are supposed to be yellow/pink respectively, then evolve into their primary element’s color) he was kidnapped by Evan and then forcibly evolved, brutally trained with other EHPs, and they were forced to dull their senses and intelligence. Despite the fact that by 2017 when this was written Evan had long left the trolling sphere and Chris’s feud with him was over, Chris continues to add false charges to his quote-unquote “rap sheet”. What is Chris doing, continuing to paint Evan as an animal abuser behind his back? Given that Chris’s fervor towards him had otherwise subsided, is it possible that he wrote Evan like this in a rare display of continuity, since Evan’s character was established during the period of loathing? Notably, Simon says that Evan forced him to fight with Beedrills, the Pokemon species that Evan claimed was the inspiration for Simon’s drills (seeing as Chris wouldn’t have gotten the Gurren Lagann reference).
Simon did make attempts to reach apparently his only living family member (despite saying he was foraging for his family earlier), Simonla. Apparently, according to this weird wording, Simon sent Simonla videos of Evan’s abuse over the phone, because the only thing he mentions is having Simonla’s phone number from the CWCville Construction site. Even if we are meant to assume that he also got her email there, he tried to reach her through her work email and not a personal one, though she did reply sympathetically, according to the next page. I question though how Simon was able to record videos of the Asperpedia Four abusing him. This was 2008, when cell phone video cameras were rather primitive, and given Evan’s other treatment of him I don’t know why Evan would let him even have a cell phone. Apparently, according to the next page, Simon used one of the A4’s phones, but how then did they not notice Simon stealing their phones to record their abuse and later alert his sister?
“Duh-er” calls to mind “D’oh”, the catchphrase of Homer Simpson.

BRIT-TAY ROSECHU: Sonichu is right, girls; we have had to endure years of abuse and mistreatment. This is our opportunity to seek out or own purposes and fortune.

BRIDE ROSECHU: I have been praying everyday for this chance. I was to be Asperchu’s original bride-to-be, but Alec saw me weak and feeble. I will show him how strong I am. There is a god!

MOE ROSECHU: Well, this is just all new to me… it will take a while to adjust and have a full, solid plan…

MARY ROSECHU: Well, being born parapleigic is no picnic either, but I think I’ll manage. I could really use a long, soapy bath.
The basement Rosechus are shown individually for the first time here. They all have dirty and/or torn clothes and appear visibly weak, due to apparent abuse and neglect.
The first is what appears to be the leader, along with the least weakened, Brit-Tay Rosechu. My assumption would be that her Valley Girl-tacular name is short for Britney Taylor. She is the only one to not be given so much as real clothes, only dressed in a bra, underwear, and the standard Rosechu shoes, and is covered in scratch marks, along with these weird lines across her stomach that I guess were meant to be the outlines of her ribs due to her starvation. She is the most determined to turn her and her sister’s lives around.
Bride Rosechu’s personality seems to have been cut and paste from Angelica’s as she is similarly religious and demure. Now, as previously mentioned, Rosechu had not appeared in Asperchu up to this point, so it appears to be that Bride was the original Rosechu before Alec grew mad with her and tossed her aside (it’s possible all of these Rosechus were bred to be the Rosechu in Asperchu, but the other three weren’t even considered for the role). She is similarly dedicated to bettering herself, mostly to prove Alec’s dismissal of her wrong.
The most traumatized of the basement Rosechus is Moe (no idea on whether that’s supposed to be one syllable Moe a la the bartender from The Simpsons or two Mo-eh like the Japanese term for cute characters), whose legs are constantly shaking. She is completely bald with scratch marks around her head, possibly implying her hair was ripped off in some sort of fight, and her tail is flat and hockey-stick-like. She is simply overwhelmed with the situation and has no plans on what she will do next with her life.
Lastly, there is Mary Rosechu, born without the use of her arms and legs (she also seems to be missing an ear). The interstate teleportation seems to have caused her to fall from her wheelchair, leaving her sprawled across the floor as she speaks her line.
The question of the hour is, of course, why do these characters who, unlike Asperchu’s Chaotic Combo, have no basis in the Asperchu comics, even exist? The obvious answer is to drag Alec through the mud by suggesting he’s an abuser and possibly a rapist, but wasn’t showing the miserable Asperchu Chaotic Combo enough? These characters only go to show how deep Chris’s hatred of Asperchu was by this point.

MAGI-CHAN {thought/telepathy}: Even Thomas Jefferson would dry if he saw his own village and university he founded explode into chaos and anarchy.

SONICHU: Well, ladies, this is one of CWCville, Virginia’s soup hotels.
SONICHU: Y’all are free to stay here in one or so of their bedrooms for free, and y’all get fed well too.
SONICHU: Consider this a second chance at a good life which Christian offers to y’all; seek good employment after y’all get your strength rebuilt and find your own better paths in life.
SONICHU: They have books, local cable TV, videos and more here from kind donations at your disposal for learning or entertainment. This is a friendly community and city. I’ll go check y’all in, then I have to finish saving the world. Christian offers this to you all out of the kindness and goodwill in his heart and mind; I advise you to take this opportunity well.
Magi-Chan’s American flag-backed final statement reenforces the previous page’s bizarre ramblings, with a note that Thomas Jefferson, who spent most of his later years in Charlottesville, would “dry” (he means cry) if he saw CWCville overrun by trolls. This begs the question - are Charlottesville and CWCville one and the same to Chris? Because didn’t Chris found CWCville? Now CWCville is based on Charlottesville geographically, because it’s the place Chris knows the best (to be fair, it is supposed to be a Pokemon region, and having a Pokemon region being based on a real region is not only commonplace, it’s more or less de rigeur), but does that mean it shares a history? (And note that Pokemon regions, despite being geographically based on real world regions, always have completely different histories due to the fantastical setting of the franchise - for instance, nowhere in the history of New York was there a massive war between two brothers and their dragons over truth and ideals.) Whatever. Just know that Chris’s mayorship is Thomas Jefferson approved.
We then get our first glimpse at Chris’s master plan for ending poverty: the soup hotel. Chris’s reasoning is since there are soup kitchens and homeless shelters already, then we should just combine them into one large complex containing private rooms and food - essentially a free hotel for the homeless, courtesy of CWC. This, while a noble idea, would cost an exorbitant amount of money and is not feasible. According to Chris, a soup hotel is ten stories tall, with ten to twenty rooms per floor (assuming the ground floor has rooms in it, that’s 100-200 rooms per soup hotel), each with their own bed, bathroom, and a cable TV. The soup hotel shown here is number 17, directly contradicting a previous statement of Chris’s that there were only ten soup hotels in CWCville. Either A) seven new soup hotels opened up in the month between when Chris announced the soup hotels numbering ten, B) the numbering system counts at least seven soup hotels outside of CWCville, but most likely C) Chris forgot that he said there were only ten when he called this one number 17.
It seems that soup hotels also double as battered women’s shelters, as Sonichu teleports the four surviving basement Rosechus to this soup hotel and checking them in.

ROSECHU: May I help you with something?
ZAPINA ROSECHU: As a matter of a fact, I am here to help you!
ROSECHU: I see, uh… how old are you?
ZAPINA: My name is Zapina. I apologize for zippin’ by so fast, but when I get excited, it’s hard to stop me. Anyway, I heard you were looking for models; I wanted to volunteer my services of cuteness.
Caption: Zapina Rosechu Age: 14 -Bug/Electric Type -Ability: Levitate
ZAPINA: I’ve just turned 14 years cute!
The purpose of the character of Zapina Rosechu has been long debated. My best guess is that she is meant to be the Sonichu equivalent of what TV Tropes calls the “Token Mini-Moe”, or a young child character designed to add a dash of cuteness to a predominantly adult cast, a very widespread trope in the Japanese media Sonichu takes many cues from. This trope is incredibly controversial stateside due to a cultural divide - in Japan these characters are viewed as adorable and the reaction that they tend to invoke over there is more of a “give ‘em a big hug” than anything else, while in the US and other western countries they are considered to be appealing to child pornographers and are avoided like the plague (in Western media, the same role is often filled by an adorable animal sidekick, under the presumption that they will not be sexually objectified by the older audience, although that is also not true.)
Zapina is dolled up to resemble a firefly, which uses bioluminescence to illuminate its abdomen and attract mates and prey, although this is commonly mistaken for producing light via electricity like a lightbulb. Bug-Electric Types weren’t introduced to Pokemon proper until Black and White, and neither of them are firefly-esque Pokemon (the two lines that are Bug/Electric are the Joltik and Galvantula family, which are electric spiders, and the later two entries in the Grubbin line, Charjabug and Vikavolt, which are like a cross between stag beetles and batteries. Volbeat and Illumise, which had already been introduced at this point, are described as firefly Pokemon, but are pure Bug-Types and look nothing like Zapina.)
Both Rosechu and Zapina’s heights have been rather inconstant - here Rosie is listed as being 3’10” (1.17 meters), but alternatively she’s been listed as 4’8” (1.47 m), which seems somewhat more plausible when you see her next to the 5’10” (1.78 m) Chris, such as here.
