I’ve reached the point where I constantly ask myself two questions. Does this help me live? Is it absolutely necessary for my job that pays my bills? If the answer is no to both questions, and it often is, then I don’t need to know. I have no interest in keeping up with modern technology anymore. None whatsoever. Simplify everything again. Give me tactile buttons instead of touch screens, give me manual tools instead of automatic, let me feel what it’s like to use my hands and brain and time working on something that MEANS something.
