YOU GUYS!1!1!1 The Mob Psycho stage play is so funny, I’m crying 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ only 40 minutes in and I’m just so captivated.
I genuinely can’t tell if it’s REALLY good or just neat?? The acting is great! The actors portray the characters well and seem to be doing exactly what the director has instructed them to do.
Alongside the stellar acting, a lot of the movements are based off the anime this is very unique! However, causes a bunch of scenes to be stiff, causing the interactions to feel plastic (for lack of better words. I need to work on my vocabulary). It does create some very funny visual gags (which I am a SUCKER for). I think this is portrayed especially well with the Telepathy club scenes. It does tend to feel out of place for Mob, seeing as he is the only character not jerking around, he just… stands there? This is accurate to his character, however, I think to add to the gag, making Mob’s movement more natural would have complimented the other’s jerky movements in such a funny way. Maybe I’m being too nit picky..
Either way, the comedy is great so far and it is sticking true to the original storyline while taking it’s own creative liberties that actually suit the characters (I’m looking at you live action version of Mob Psycho on Netflix…. You are one silly goober…. I still love you though).
TLDR: Please watch the Mob Psycho 100 stage play. It may be a waste of time, but I guarantee you, it is an enjoyable one.
Hey, did you all know that stage play Teru has a whole breakdown + panic attack after Mob passes out from being choked because he thinks he killed him? (:
