Got a little experimental to see Dune part 2 today (but not too experimental. Gauze for Dune is probably not the most ... creative choice, all things considered). Originally went for the pleather sleeves to match the trim on the crop jacket, but they were just too damn warm (it's still 28°C+ here). Also removed the cross from the Ozz On belt piece before leaving home because it kept catching on the gauze and I didn't want it to damage the fabric. I think it must have a tiny casting burr somewhere on it, so I guess I'll have to find that and file it down.

Like tbh I knew the finale was gonna be a hot mess bc HBO cut 2 episodes out which is already insanely rough to fit all the content needed for a narrative tv series, but the fact that HBO didn't even let them have 40mins to an hour for their finale episode and had them finish it off in 30 MINUTES is ridiculous.

Fuck publishing companies, I hope if they do get renewed for the final season they get back 10 episodes and are allowed to have more time to write before principal photography, they did their best with what they had but it's hard not to mourn the loss of the little moments and the time to breathe between scenes.

My goals for the year include trying to wear lolita more often, more casually, and being less picky about "perfect" coords. I've noticed that I will skip wearing lolita if I feel like I don't have every exact piece I want to wear ready, or don't feel like wearing heels, or don't want to wear wrist cuffs, or some other small excuses. So I'm trying to break that habit and get back to wearing lolita once a week at least!

I didn't quite make it for January (my garage door exploded, I've taken up gardening, the weather has been stupid hot, and some other things went wrong with my plans), so I'll be doing my best to continue with February.
