For the rewrite I have this headcanon that since Tikki and Plagg are suppose to be the STRONGEST ones, the Ying and yang of the miraculous, if their holders aren't in tuned, neither are the other holders.

They can't use the full extent of their powers if Tikki and Plagg are at odds cuz they need to be balanced. And they haven't been balanced since idk season 2? Maybe. but it's gotten worse, all of the kwami are erratic and testy, cuz something isn't RIGHT.

But Plagg and Tikki know what's going on and Plagg brings it up with her..cuz her holder is the one keeping them imbalanced by keeping Chat Noir in the dark. He isn't her equal when he should be, and Master Fu only enforced this behavior by not trusting Chat Noir. The divide is only getting bigger between them cuz Marinette refuses to let Chat know about the most fundamental part of what's going on and if Tikki won't talk sense into her holder..he doesn't want to deal with their nonsense, splitting them even more.

Like don't say Tikki and Plagg are Ying and yang and show NO reprocussions for them not being treated equally cuz they ARENT and Plagg shouldn't be okay with that. He and Tikki are equals, always have been always will be..so why the fuck is his holder getting the short end of the stick consistently?? And not to mention..the kwami are being used for tiny stupid little tasks ?? Really?? Marinette handed out the miraculous like it's candy and its improved nothing, no one's finding the Butterfly any quicker.

Like..Plagg is tired of this bullshit. They've been around too long to have THIS be such a major issue and no one's ever allowed to question Marinette cuz shes the guardian now?? Insanity.

If no one will treat Adrien/Chat like a person, HE damn sure will.

Power: Osmosis (works exactly the same way as my OG ideas for the MTS Goat Miraculous, where the user can freely phase in and out of matter for the five minutes. And yes, the Goat Miraculous is still a thing.)

Miracle Box: Other person thinks it should be a part of the European Continental Miracle Box, and I’m inclined to agree. (Also like the idea of its lore being tied to Atlantis, as that’s an actual place in ML.)

Hero Name: Neptune

Weapon: Trident

So which au has been more fun to work on, Bugettes or the Rewrite?

Ooooh, so, they both are fun, though I think I'd vote the Rewrite.

It has a lot more for me to work off of, a lot more material presented and I just have to look it over, think about what I want to keep or how I can make something work, what I want to change, and what should just be cut away.

While Bugettes has to be more built from the ground up. There is some material to work off of, and some ideas from canon I can use, but it's not the same as the show by set up. And the development of it, planning wise, is still pretty early, and there's nothing I can say is for sure yet.

Mindful, there's not a lot I can say for sure in the Rewrite itself for some details as some of it will depend on the writing (and sometimes works just write themselves whether you planned that or not), but I do have better defined ideas for it. Like, the biggest struggle for the Rewrite is some decision making, because there's a lot of possibilities and potential ideas I can see.

Some of it is minor and honestly just needs to wait until it's been written out and see what will be best; like shipping for Alya and Nino. Do I want to do DJWifi? Do I want to mix it up? Do I want to pair Alya with a girl (like Aurore, Chloe, or Kagami) and do I want to pair Nino up with a guy (like Adrien or Ali)? Is there any other guys and girls I want to try with them? Cause DJWifi I'm not attached as a ship and canon did nothing for me, so I feel I don't have to do them. I'm not even doing the canon endgame so that kinda extends to all ships. Aside from Felinette, which I am going to aim to do as my endgame, everything is kinda on the table.

And for something like that, I may just have to wait out writing it out and see what will work best.

But some of it is big plot stuff. Like, do I want to do Gabriel is Hawk Moth or do I want to do him as a red herring? I have ideas for both. I can make either work.

If I can't decide, I may just have to write it out and see what will work better.

Another factor is that the Bugettes are going to be a smaller project while the Rewrite is planned to be bigger. Like, at minimum, it's planned to be about 3 seasons + trying to work off the Specials. But it could go for more. Especially as I now have, what 28 Miraculous to cover? And they're not set to start popping up officially until s2. And there are plans to try and do some non Miraculous villains. Yeah it may go on to about to more seasons...

It's going to be a big project.

Bugettes so far are planned to wrap up with Black Widower's defeat, though it could extend to Scorpion and Centipede depending on what's going on with them. But we'll see, that is still pretty early for me to say anything on.

The Five Elemental Idols and Frozen Heart in my Miraculous Rewrite AU thing

If you're wondering what these things are, they're items in Master Fu's Miracle Box replacing the auxiliary Miraculouses. Only the Ladybug and Black Cat remain, and Hawkmoth and the others gain their powers from a variety of different sources, including these six items.

The Elemental Idols are willpower-activated, meaning the wielder has to will themselves into using them. The Miraculouses are too in this rewrite, but we ain't talking about them. Saying a certain statement typically helps psychologically with the activation. When activated, the idol "overlaps" over the wielder in a sense. Think the Spirit Digivolutions in Digimon Frontier. Different wielders have different appearances. The Wood Idol, for example, had a wielder that takes the form of a heavily wooden centaur knight, a horse-headed knight that was basically one plant with wooden armor, and a plant-and-wood pony straight out of Friendship is Magic. The elemental powers each idol has are as follows:

Earth Idol: Earth manipulation; excellent burrowing; always a large molelike creature made of earth with a drill nose and vertical line eyes, although the body shape can be different.

Fire Idol: Fire generation & manipulation; always wears the robe.

Air Idol: Air manipulation; electricity generation & manipulation; always made of clouds.

Water Idol: Body is made of pipes that can suck, filter, and squirt water at high pressures; excellent swimming; always a blue transparent body full of water with a scuba mask, scuba tank, and fishlike tail alongside webbed feet, the former three storing extra water.

Wood Idol: Manipulation of plantlife inside the wielder's body; always has a horse and knight motif; always made out of a combination of wood and plants

The Frozen Heart, meanwhile is also willpower-based, but doesn't have a transformation unlike the Miraculouses or Idols. It merely generates and manipulates ice and the cold at the cost of pouring the excess heat into the wielder's body. More advanced wielders can even freeze objects in space! It works better with wielders having a more 'frigid' personality. You know, ice queens and the like.

Feel free to guess who gets what idol and who gets the heart! A hint is people can wield an idol and the heart at the same time!

Adrien Agreste (Origins)

Master post

This is one of the first posts in what is going to be a looooong project of mine - rewriting Miraculous Ladybug! It's no secret that the writing in the show is pretty bad, and after seeing other people do rewrites, I decided to throw my hat in the ring! (I say as if I haven't been obsessing over this for months/years)

My style of rewriting is tweaking what we have to make more sense and be more interesting to me personally. For this show however, I am going to be changing some pretty foundational things, like the power system for the miraculous and the kwami. I have decided to call my rewrite Miraculous Legacy and I will tag all of my related posts as such.

This post is my rewrite of Adrien's story. It's pretty similar to canon, but some things are changed and I wanted to clearly define it, since Miraculous can be kinda vague and wishy-washy with their characters and plotlines.

Adrien was born into the wealthy Agreste family as the younger of two twin brothers. His mother passed away due to health issues when he was very young; he has little memory of her aside from the vague impression of loving warmth and a kind smile. After her death, his father became withdrawn and only grew further buried in his work and his grief as the years passed. His brother, Félix, was one of his only friends as a child, but he became somewhat cold and closed off as he grew older, hiding the softer and goofier side to himself. His only other childhood friend was Chloé Bourgeois. She was like a sister to him, but she too grew distant over time.

Adrien lives a very sheltered life; his clothes, diet, and schooling are chosen and planned by his father. He rarely leaves the house, being taught by private tutors, and he constantly aches with loneliness and longing for a chance to experience life outside of his tiny bubble.

(He is not a model for his father's fashion line, and due to his father's reclusive lifestyle and desire for privacy, he isn't a well-known celebrity either.)

After years of begging, Adrien's father finally decides to let him attend a public high school. (He offers Félix a chance to attend as well. Félix's response is essentially: "Hell no") Adrien is overjoyed at the chance to meet other people his age, but when he arrives he realizes that he knows hardly any of his classmates. He suddenly feels nervous and awkward as he introduces himself to the class.

Fortunately, his father got him in the same class as Chloé. Unfortunately, Chloé doesn't seem very popular with his classmates. She seems more haughty and aggressive than he remembers, and his friendship with Chloé seems to put off the other students. They're polite, but they seem wary of him. Chloé tells him that he doesn't need them, but he still feels disheartened.

One day, while sitting by himself and feeling lonely, a boy sits next to him. The boy is apparently one of his classmates, and he introduces himself as Nino Lahiffe. Nino is politely curious about him, and asks why he looks so sad. Adrien ends up venting about his chronic loneliness, and how he thought that going to a public school would help, but now he feels even worse.

Nino asks if he has any friends at Francoise Dupont, and seems to pity Adrien when he replies that Chloé is his only friend at all. Nino offers to be his second friend, and Adrien immediately decides that Nino is wonderful.

Nino and Adrien become close friends surprisingly fast. After Nino's acceptance of Adrien, the rest of the class quickly warms up to him. Adrien is suddenly given friendly smiles and pats on the back and invitations to hang out and he is happier than he ever could have hoped.

And then one day, a black cat takes a liking to him.

In the Discord server, we decided it would be a good idea to make character playlists! The songs going on these playlists can be based on pure vibes, actual meaning to the character, or something we think they would listen to.

As a result of this, it's important to ask...

Season 1 (General)

Each season will span one school year, pilot episode being the first day of school and the finale being the last day.

Season 1 follows similarly to the original, being less-lore focused and more slice-of-life, takes place in Marinette and Adrien's eight grade year, cusping between middle school and high school.

The first season is split into two parts, the first half taking place in Marinette's pov and the second in Adrien's.

Since the first part takes place in Marinette's pov, Chat Noir's identity isn't revealed until later.

Adrien also is still homeschooled for most of Season 1, and the audience knows him as a popular socialite, Marinette runs into him on occasion.

The love square also is changed from the traditional formula, Chat Noir is more inspired by previous Magical Girl masked heroes, a mysterious partner who's identity is concealed and does seem to be enamored with Ladybug. There's a more slowburn quality to the relationship, Marinette doesn't fully know Adrien and her feelings for him develop through the course of the season.

Gabriel is also a larger part of Marinette's life, she does truly admire him and his work, and hopes to learn under him one day.

Here's the redesign for Andre Bourgeois!

God it was such a fucking pain to do, but I got it done after a few days.

Design Choices-

So for Andre's regular redesign, I kept his grey hair. I imagine because he's the mayor of Paris, the owner of a famous hotel celebrities stay at and with his wife being famous as well, the stress made him go prematurely grey. Because of the extra stress he's under due to occupation and the sudden appearance of akumas I also gave him eyebags. Like there is no way this man is mayor, a hotel owner, trying to reassure the people of paris about the akumas and not losing immense amounts of sleep over this, with stress. I changed his tie to a bow tie to differentiate him from Gabriel because I know they're going to end up looking similar in my style. And because I've changed his character a bit, i feel the bowtie suits him better. I also gave him dark red reading glasses, and darker blue eyes. His suit is just a regular one with some black dress shoes. He's also on the shorter and stockier side compared to Audrey and Gabriel who are taller and thinner.

I also redesigned Malediktator. Now I'm not fond of the canon design for Malediktator at all, the colours are all too bright in my opinion. And after looking on Tv Tropes the hat he wears is supposed to be like the one Napoleon Bonaparte wore, however because of the shape and colour choices it doesn't quite look like that. And I just don't like it at all.

So for my version of Malediktator, I tried to go into a more historical direction. I gave him a tricorn hat, and long coat as well as breeches, and buckled shoes. I gave him a cane. Now you may be wondering where the akuma is if I never gave him the sash, but it's in the cravat, which regularly is his bow tie. His skin I kept blue but it more of a desaturated grey-blue colour so it's less eye strain. His sclera's are a cold grey-blue and his irises are red with light red/white cats eye pupils.

Personality/Story Changes-

I changed Andre's age because in the canon show apparently he's 70, which I'm not dealing with, so instead he's younger but him and Audrey are on the older side of all the adults. At beginning of my rewrite he's 45 years old and by the end he is 47 years old.

In my rewrite, him and Audrey have known each other and dated each other for a longer time than they knew Gabriel, Emilie and Natalie. They met at a theatre Audrey worked as a costume designer at, and Andre had gotten a temporary jobs as a screenwriter at. He left after a while to study becoming a lawyer but was still dating Audrey, while she started her own fashion brand. Eventually they got married, had Chloe and he became mayor, then Audrey went to New York for a few years to set up an American branch of her fashion brand.

For personality, I made it so he's not corrupt and is less willing to assist Chloe in her antics because Chloe is also toned down. I also made him a lot more paranoid, it makes more sense for me due to his jobs, dealing with akumas and Chloe causing akumas in my opinion. I also made him more nervous in general. He deeply cares about Audrey and Chloe, but due to workload he hasn't got the time to be around Chloe, which is partly why she's lashing out for her parents attention which she doesn't get because they're both heavily overworked.

For his relationship with Audrey, they love each other and they're pretty much an opposites attract relationship, because I changed Audrey a lot in my rewrite, mainly she's not abusive. He's nervous and paranoid and Audrey is the strong commanding one. She helped him find confidence, whereas he helped her from rushing into things and messing up.

In my rewrite for the majority of season 1 and 2, Andre is nervous and paranoid especially with the akumas. He worries alot about the safety of his daughter at school because of the akumas and is worried about his wife returning. He knows that if she returns while the akumas are about, due to her stubborn personality she'll become an akuma or an akuma will target her. This changes when at the end of season 1 Darkblade almost executes him by guillotine. Then Audrey returns.

Season 2 mostly stays the same until about 3/4 of the way through Audrey gets akumatised into Style Queen and then the next chapter he's get akumatised into Malediktator. Now the reason for his akumatization changes from Audrey and Chloe wanting to leave to him having meltdown due to stress and not being able to truly protect his family from the akumas and Dague Noir. He becomes Malediktator and takes over quite a bit of Paris with him taking Audrey to city hall to protect her. Chloe as Queen Bee shows up on her own and reveals her identity to Andre to distract to deakumatise him by destroying the cravat.

Then for the season 2 finale Miracle Queen occurs due to an argument between Ladybug and Chloe over Chloe wanting to be a hero. But Ladybug won't let it happen due to her revealing her identity and Ladybug simply not wanting to deal with Chloe.

Season 3 begins with Andre and Audrey realising simply how bad their neglect of Chloe affected her and promise to be better parents to her. This goes mostly well with them trying to teach Chloe how to ride a bike. Chloe doesn't tell them about the bullying she's now facing at school simply because she doesn't want to bother them or stress them out because she's enjoying this new family bonding time with them. However shortly after this Andre and Audrey go missing after going away for a weekend for their wedding anniversary. The police found their car crashed on the side of the road by a tree with blood inside of it, but they aren't in the car or anywhere near it for that matter. Unbeknownst to Audrey and Andre, Gabriel is Dague Noir and has taken them captive in order to blackmail Chloe into working with him. For the rest of season 3 he holds them in a private cabin he purchased privately, so no one can find where they are. Gabriel does have a tv in the cabin so they can at least see the news. However they have injuries from the crash, with Audrey having a few broken ribs and Andre having a broken foot. They don't find out Chloe is Abeille Gardienne until the end of season 3 when Mayura and Dague Noir come back to the cabin solely to give them Chloe's blood-soaked hoodie from her impalement, and Dauge Noir ranting to them about how much he despises Chloe

For season 4 nothing really happens, with Audrey and Andre, apart from them worrying about what the hell is happening with Chloe, and figuring out Gabriel is Dague Noir due to Andre telling Gabriel where he was going for his anniversary because Andre still thought they were friends. Until at the end of season 4 Chloe, Adrien and Sabrina take down Dague Noir and Mayura. Chloe reunites with her parents at the cabin, but immediately after seeing them she passes out because of exhaustion and her lingering injuries revealing the facial damage to her parents. At some point during their kidnapping Audrey and Andre also see Chloe as Abeille Gardienne have a breakdown on live tv, because of the stress Chloe's facing having to work with Dauge Noir.

Roger Raincomprix arrives to the cabin with Butler Jean and Miss Bustier only to find Andre trying to strangle Gabriel for what has happened. At the end of the story, after Gabriel and Natalie's trial, Andre and Audrey try to move on with their lives while being better parents to Chloe. As well Adrien gets adopted by them.

Next redesign will be Audrey, then Gabriel's.

Okay, we’re nowhere NEAR writing MTS Animaestro (especially when it’s in the last season and I haven’t even finished writing the first episode of the show), but I’ve been thinking about it lately anyway.

The episode will be both pretty similar and pretty different from the Miracubug one, but one of the (super minor) is that it’ll be different is the casting for Movie LB and CN . (Since Zoé’s dreams of being an actor get more focus, she ends up being the one to voice Ladybug, but we still need a Chat Noir. Yes we technically COULD still do Adrien, but for reasons related to the episode plans, we’re gonna go with someone else instead. It might not actually be Félix but this scene kept popping into my head so I had to write it out.)
