She saw you in a storm cloud, in a mountain pool at dusk, in the fire we lit to cook our suppers. She sees much and more, my Alys.

Conversation
Leonard: People also seem to think running water conducts paranormal energy, as well as quartz- crystal.
Derrick: I think juggling attracts paranormal energy.
Leonard: Have you been able to prove that?
Derrick: No! It’s just something I believe.
Leonard:
Leonard: That’s cool.

Tallahassee Ch F: Zizou Bergs [2] def. Mitchell Krueger 6-4, 7-6(9) Match Stats
Tumblr media
📸 ATP official website
M. Krueger might have produced more break points thanks to his anticipative return approach in the first set, but it was insufficient in several pressing moments. It became evident in the second set tie-breaker, where his sole double-fault spread the erraticness to his rushed shots, allowing Zizou to rediscover his range through the lines and utilizing the open court well in constructing his points as he managed to nail the pace in between. As a result, M. Krueger only managed to convert 40% out of his 5 break points compared to Zizou's 75% conversion rate out of his 4 opportunities to break, signifying his efforts to optimize his chances by his power play and frequent accurate hitting.
Interestingly, service game consistency became a challenge by taking into account the breaking chaos from the first set. Even though both Zizou and M. Krueger scored 5 aces, Zizou had the slight edge from his first serves by 2% with a 68% winning percentage, which often got him out of trouble despite several other moments in between. However, one of those moments included his ineffective second serves, where his 4 double faults (compared to M. Krueger's 1) denoted his risky approach in his second, making it attack and rush-prone that faded his second serves winning percentage 12% below M. Krueger with 48%, making M. Krueger's serves appearing slightly more consistent.
This successful title defense brought Zizou three lines away from the Top 100, which is also his career-high ranking as of now. The good news after his amazing fortnight with a Challenger runner-up finish in Sarasota and a Challenger title in Tallahassee is he is rewarded with the Madrid M1000 main draw wild card, a totally deserved one since it is technically impossible to play the qualification rounds straight away, as well as a good opportunity to try his hands against the best of the game. On the other hand, M. Krueger stays in the Savannah Challenger next week, where he will face eighth seed Clement Tabur in the first round. Could be a tricky affair with their point construction, but nothing is impossible!

Before starting the big piece ...
Tumblr media
The French singer, composer and pianist Michel Berger ( which we will talk about in more detail in the article Starmania 1979 which I invite you to consult ) is known for having created two musicals in his career.
" Starmania " which became a MONUMENT of French musical culture and "La légende de Jimmy" which worked much less than its elder
But in reality his desire to create a musical dates back to 1976, when for a television show he presented "Émilie ou la Petite Sirène 76"
Tumblr media
To summarize the story :
Émilie is the daughter of a television lighting designer, she is a young girl with a boundless imagination who loves music.
She tries her luck by infiltrating a television set where she meets Sébastien, a cameraman with whom she falls in love.
Unfortunately the feelings are not shared.
Disappointed Émilie will persevere and become, thanks to the advice of her godmother Cécile, a star…
A solitary star with no passion or love to give or receive .
Distribution :
France Gall : Emilie
Patrick Bouchitey : Sébastien
Nicole Croisille : Cécile ( Émilie’s godmother )
Christophe : Émilie’s father
Vannick Le Poulain and Rima Vetter : Émilie’s sisters
Françoise Hardy : the Star
Eddy Mitchell : the rock teacher
Michel Berger and Martine Kelly : the famous producers
Rod Stewart : useless cameo of himself
Tumblr media
France Gall , Berger's wife plays (as she will later play in Starmania) the main female role .
Françoise Hardy and Eddie Mitchel would later play in the very first version of "Emilie Jolie" and Christophe participated in the original album of "La Révolution Française" ( which you can find in my Main Masterlist).
This strange show which is not really one (never played live / broadcast only once on television without promotion / no album to sell ) will sink INCREDIBLY QUICKLY into oblivion and collective indifference.
It's a miracle that some songs have survived the test of time and are still available today :
youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
Anecdotes :
The budget was quite limited for the costumes and the stage .
Michel Berge seems to have taken this with humor as evidenced by these few lines from " La chansons des producteurs " :
Si on vivait à Hollywood ( If we lived in Hollywood )
Where the music is in the mood
Ça changerait Mais regardez un peu nos coudes
( That would change, but look at our elbows)
C’est une bonne machine à coudre Qu’il nous faudrait !
( It's a good sewing machine that we need ! )
...
The song " ça balance pas mal à Paris " is the only Hit of the entire musical ( and the first official iconic Berger/Gall duo by the way)
youtube
I invite you to follow the path of my main masterlist to learn more about French musicals and their stories :
