"Go For the Butt" - animated by Aforextreme
Well since that ask suggested I feature some of the Wreckless Media Radio animations on this blog, I figure I'll kick things off with one of mine, since I'm a narcissist or whatever.

Tumblr has taught me many things about my friends.
Like that Mitch has incredibly bad taste in animated women.

Based on a sketch I did a few weeks ago, here’s a cute sleepy girl in an oversized shirt. Messing with the way I color stuff. Tried to get a hybrid of hard shadows, blushy areas, and slight gradients.

A banner made for a podcast in 2015. The attempt was to re-create the cover art for Persona 4: Dancing All night. Was a good exercise in emulating outfits from existing characters, heavy shading and lighting, and attempting to copy another artist’s style.

A banner I did for a podcast back in 2015. It’s made to combine the iconic cover art of Platoon with elements from Super Mario Bros 3. Was a good exercise for emulating background design elements from an existing game, as well as messing with smoke, flame, and their interactions. Also a good exercise for learning how to shade the folds in clothes, as well as scarring on the human body.

A GIF I made back in 2012, animated in Flash. Experimented with smears and shading each individual frame of animation (since a lot of my animation back then wasn’t shaded).
Made after a trip to PAX East when I couldn’t seem to shake the PAX Pox.

A GIF I made back in 2012 to experiment with pixel art, rotoscoping traditional animation into pixel art, and a long-overdue practice for walk cycles. Animated in Flash.
Video is posted because the actual GIF is too big for Tumblr due to the parallax scrolling effect on the background in order to create a full loop. (Lots of frames needed since the final layer of the background moves so slowly.)
The song is “KINESIS” by SMILETRON.

A GIF I made back in 2013 to experiment more with using Photoshop to make animation (as opposed to Flash). I had a lot of fun designing the clock background.
It’s called “Revolve Alone”, which is named after a lyric from the song “Concealing Fate” by TesseracT, but the words in the background are a Latin translation of the last few lyrics from the song “Jetpacks Was Yes! 2.0″ by Periphery.

A GIF I made based on the music video for Anamanaguchi’s song “Meow”, from back in 2013. Made to look like the character select screens in the beat-em-up games of old.

A GIF I made back in 2012, experimenting with sprite art and making GIFs in Photoshop exclusively. It’s called “An Infinite Regression”, named after the Animals as Leaders song of the same name.

Art based on a phrase that popped into my head one day. (“Internet the Dog”). Messed with coloring noise effects and using garish colors in tandem.
