　I was thinking that I want to make him a shonen manga protagonist. But come to think of it, I have already drawn a character like that in "3.3.7 byooshi!", I realized later (laugh). The character most similar to him is Kazuma from "Mister Ajikko". The protruding tooth, for example, is just the same. We didn't make any Japanese skater other than Yuuri compete in the Grand Prix series, but we wanted to show that there are other Japanese skaters, who follow Yuuri's footsteps. We didn't have the time to show more of him, so I thought I have to make him a character with very strong flavor in both his looks and personality. "Even if Yuuri isn't here, I'm the one who is going to steal the show!" - this type of person. Of course, he personally respects Yuuri from the bottom of his heart. Minami-kun also is a character that's very easy to write. Just like Emil, so I guess, characters with this type of hairstyle are easy to write? (laugh).

Voice Actor Shozo Iizuka Passes Away

Talent agency Sigma7 has announced that voice actor Shōzō Iizuka passed away on February 15, 2023 due to acute heart failure. He was 89 years old at the time of his passing.
