If airports weren’t already a hellscape, TikTok has found a way to make them worse. Welcome to airport theory, a viral delusion that suggests you can roll up to the airport 15 minutes before boarding, waltz through security, and still make your flight with time to spare. No stress, no waiting, just pure main character energy.
TikTok creators like Michael DiCostanzo (@michael.dicostanzo) swear by it, documenting their dashes through high-traffic hubs like LAX, Atlanta International Airport, and post–Super Bowl New Orleans. Some viewers are sold. Others are calling BS.
“So you had PreCheck, didn’t check a bag, and were at the nearest terminal? Now let’s do it when it’s not the optimal situation,” one user commented. And, sure enough, the internet is also littered with failed attempts—videos of forlorn TikTokers watching their flights take off without them, their carry-ons full of regret.
It’s a fun fantasy, which explains why “airport theory” has racked up over 400 million views on TikTok. Unfortunately, the the Transportation Security Administration doesn’t care about your viral moment. The national average wait time for security was 27 minutes, 16 seconds in 2024. And if you’re flying out of a notorious bottleneck like JFK, Orlando International, or Chicago O’Hare, it’s closer to 40 minutes. Google searches for “I missed my flight what do I do” have spiked 70 percent in the past month, per Google Trends. It’s not hard to connect the dots.
Here is your sad reality check: Airlines still recommend arriving at least two hours before a domestic flight, three for international. Sometimes that buffer feels like overkill. But would you rather rush through the airport with your heart racing or have a few minutes to find your gate, grab a bag of overpriced whatever, and scroll TikTok watching other people miss their flights? That sounds like a much better airport theory to us.
Airport Hacks That Actually Work
The best way to get through airport security unscathed is to move like you’ve done this a hundred times before. A little planning, the right gear, and skipping social media stunts will get you from curb to gate with minimal stress.
Time It Right
Travel off-peak. According to CheapAir, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are often less crowded. Early flights between 5 and 8 am and red-eyes (after 9 pm) tend to have fewer passengers.
Check TSA wait times in advance. The My TSA app (iOS, Android) provides real-time security line updates at major airports.
Get the Right Apps
Download your airline’s app for mobile boarding passes and real-time gate updates.
Get TSA PreCheck. Some credit cards even cover the fee. Global Entry (available at select airports) includes PreCheck and fast-tracks reentry into the U.S. Or consider Clear Plus, which uses biometric scans to bypass ID checks.
Use Mobile Passport Control app (iOS, Android) to submit your customs info beforehand for faster reentry to the US.
Pack Smart
Start with an empty bag. Double-check TSA-restricted items list to avoid accidentally smuggling contraband.
Use a clear toiletry bag. The Calpak Clear Cosmetics Case for $85 is an upgrade from the ziplock bag. If you’re worried about TSA’s liquid restrictions, switch to toothpaste tablets like biöm’s Nobs and use reusable travel bottles. I'm a fan of Reis' Refillable Travel Container set, but I've also used travel kits from Amazon for under $10, and they work just as well.
Go carry-on only. The Away Carry-On for $275 is our favorite, but if you want to avoid Away’s baggage, try Monos ($255) or July ($295).
Track your luggage. If you check a bag, stash an AirTag inside for iPhone users or a Chipolo One Point ($25) or Card Spot ($29) for Android.
Dress for Efficiency
Empty your pockets before security. Stash everything in your carry-on instead of fumbling at the checkpoint.
Keep metal jewelry, watches, and belts in your bag until after screening.
Avoid boots or high-tops. Slip-ons like Allbirds' Tree Runners for $98 and the Rothy’s Driving Loafer for $189—we've raved about them in the past—make security a breeze. If you’re not planning on sprinting through the airport, the Bearpaw Martis Slippers ($70) are ultra-comfy.
Skip bulky outerwear. Coats, hoodies with big pockets, and anything with excessive zippers just slow you down. If you have PreCheck, you can usually keep your shoes, belt, and light jacket on.
Stay Organized
Snap-on Phone Stand & Wallet
If you have an iPhone, invest in a MagSafe wallet to avoid digging through your bag for an ID. Some of our favorites include Casetify ($38), Moft’s Snap-On Phone Stand & Wallet ($30), and ESR HaloLock Power Bank Wallet ($80), which works as a power bank, wallet, and phone stand.
Get a checkpoint-friendly laptop backpacks. Lay-flat designs like Peak Design’s Outdoor Backpack (available in 25L and 45L) speed up screenings.

It’s very extravagant, the way our head Ymbryne enjoys it
Our loop was created by two ymbrynes, Miss Raven and Miss Silvereye, as an escape for runaway peculiars
They chose this location due to the thick forests being able to hide them and let them live as themselves
history time ‼️‼️‼️
Life in 1960s New Zealand:
In the 1960s, New Zealand was a nation at a crossroads, straddling its colonial past and an emerging modern identity. It remained a peaceful, agrarian society with strong ties to Britain, but the decade saw the seeds of social, cultural, and political change begin to sprout. Life revolved around close-knit communities, outdoor activities, and a slower pace of living, with the country's lush landscapes offering both tranquility and isolation.
Cultural Landscape The 1960s were marked by the continuation of British customs, but this was also a time when New Zealand started forging its unique identity. Rugby reigned supreme as the national pastime, and the All Blacks were cultural heroes. Cinema and radio brought global trends to small towns, while the country embraced rock 'n' roll and the counterculture movement spreading from the United States and Britain.
However, New Zealand was not immune to the social upheavals of the era. The Maori population, historically marginalized, began to push for greater recognition and rights, leading to early discussions about the Treaty of Waitangi and land reform. Environmentalism was also on the rise, with growing concern for the preservation of the nation’s unparalleled natural beauty.
Technological Life Daily life was simpler, with rotary phones, black-and-white televisions, and radios being staples in most households. Cars were becoming more common, but in rural areas, horseback riding or walking was still a way of life. Electricity was widespread, but indoor plumbing was still a luxury in some isolated areas.
Peculiar History in New Zealand Hidden beneath the idyllic surface, peculiar life in 1960s New Zealand was thriving in secrecy. The peculiar world, wary of the rising tensions of the Cold War and environmental degradation, found New Zealand’s isolation to be a refuge. Ymbrynes had long identified the country as a safe haven, establishing loops in remote forests, islands, and mountainous regions like the Southern Alps.
The peculiar history of New Zealand was intrinsically tied to its Maori heritage. Some Maori legends spoke of peculiar abilities—heroes who could command the wind, transform into birds, or commune with the spirits of their ancestors. These stories often intertwined with tales of the taniwha (mythical water guardians) and other supernatural creatures, giving peculiar children a place in the folklore of the land.
The 1968 Peculiar Community
The peculiar community faced unique challenges during this time. The Cold War paranoia extended to normals in New Zealand, and any unusual sightings of peculiar abilities risked being mistaken for Soviet espionage or experimental technology. There were wights posing as soldiers, picking through children to find peculiars, making it difficult to trust a lot of people outside of the loop.
🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲
Here are some geographically based photos:
(I had to put all the forest-based photos into one photo as tumblr was being mean and I couldn’t upload them individually)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲✨🕰️🌲
anyways! That’s all for today :D
I’ll be posting about the peculiars who live here probably tomorrow or Tuesday
See ya!

PC Storage System
The Pokémon Storage System was invented by Bill in 1995 with Lanette as a co-developer of the software, designed for people to be able to store more than six Pokémon in a global database where their Pokémon could be converted into raw data and safely kept somewhere they could be easily accessed through interacting with a PC or an otherwise capable link in order to access the database. It is capable of storing both Pokémon kept in Poké Balls and Pokémon eggs in their natural states.
The Pokémon Storage System is managed my multiple different people globally in order to troubleshoot, improve, and maintain it. Bill maintains it in Kanto and Johto.
Celio maintains it in the Sevii Islands and also runs the Pokémon Network Centre on One Island which is responsible for providing a method of facilitating global trading. He also helped develop the Global Terminal in Johto and Sinnoh for this same purpose.
Lanette maintains it in Hoenn and is primarily in charge of the user interface and enabling personal Trainer customization of the Box System with wallpapers and giving Trainers the ability to change the names of boxes and the like as well as streamlining the process and making the interface more user-friendly.
Bebe maintains it in Sinnoh and actually built it from scratch as a computer technician based on the previous designs of the system by Bill and Lanette, earning their respect, and developing a way to make it so that the system can be accessed by Trainers from anywhere without the need to access a PC.
Amanita maintains it in mainland Unova and developed it based on the previous designs of Bill, Lanette, and Bebe, introducing a new feature of a Battle Box where Trainers can store a team they use specifically for battling and making it so that Trainers start out with eight boxes available to them and that each time each box is storing at least one Pokémon, the capacity will increase by another eight boxes and then by another eight boxes once the same conditions are met again, making the total capacity of Unova’s PC Storage System seven-hundred-and-twenty Pokémon per Trainer.
Cassius maintains it in Kalos and despite being a capable computer technician, he has made no significant contributions to the operations or design of the PC Storage System. In fact, his sole role is keeping it maintained and was personally tasked by Bill himself to take on that role.
Molayne maintains it in Alola and runs the Hokulani Observatory and, like Cassius, makes no significant contributions to the operations or design of the PC Storage System and simply maintains it.
Brigette (Lanette’s older sister) and Grand Oak (relation to Professor Samuel Oak unclear) manage the PC Storage System everywhere else and in every other capacity, typically on a more global scale. They maintain a more centralized PC Storage System that acts as the bridge between all the others and the network that facilitates global trading. Brigette is credited with upgrading the Pokémon Storage System with the ability to hold fifteen-hundred Pokémon per Trainer, as well as the ability to select and move multiple Pokémon at once. She is also the developer of the Bank System, which acts as an online cloud where Pokémon can be transferred if their Trainers have to move regions and need to access them from the local PC Storage System in their target region and other similar purposes. Grand Oak, however, is more interested in completing a comprehensive National Pokédex by collecting the data from Pokédex holders all over the globe into one central database.

Your guide to California policy and politics
Tumblr media
By Lynn La
March 21, 2025
Presented by Sellers Dorsey, California Resources Corporation, UC Merced and Dairy Cares
Tumblr media
Good morning, California.
Ricardo Lara explains trip to Bermuda was for insurance work
Tumblr media
California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara (left) and Farmers Insurance CEO Raul Vargas (right) speak during the Global Sustainable Insurance Summit in Los Angeles on April 4, 2024. Photo by Ted Soqui for CalMatters
From CalMatters economy reporter Levi Sumagaysay:
When Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara testified about California’s property insurance market before the Assembly’s insurance committee this week, he mentioned a recent trip to Bermuda — somewhat defensively.
Lara attended the Bermuda Risk Summit, an insurance industry conference, last week. He gave a keynote address on March 11, the same day the Senate Insurance Committee held an oversight hearing that he missed. Michael Martinez, chief deputy commissioner, and Michael Peterson, deputy commissioner for climate and sustainability, represented the Insurance Department at that Senate committee hearing.
On Wednesday, Lara — who in 2019 apologized for taking campaign contributions from the insurance industry — told the Assembly committee that he went to the summit to meet directly with reinsurers, nearly 40% of which are based in Bermuda. Reinsurers provide insurance to insurance companies. Their role is key when policyholders file claims.
Lara, to the committee: “We have to engage face-to-face, which allows for more direct answers, and I must confront the insurance industry to drive these results. If insurance companies are telling me that the cost of reinsurance is almost tripling, well then I need to trust but also verify by directly meeting with the reinsurance companies who are their customers.”
Lara also said he got some reinsurance companies to agree to expedite payments to wildfire survivors, and that they agreed to work with the state on expanding earthquake insurance.
Michael Soller, a spokesperson for the department, said Lara’s Bermuda trip was paid for by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. States pay annual assessment fees to the association based on insurance premium volume. This year California is paying the maximum amount of $150,000, along with Florida, New York and Texas, according to the association’s budget.
Lara also said he expects the California insurance market to improve in 2026 — in line with predictions by the insurance industry CalMatters reported in 2023 — after his regulatory reforms that went into effect this year are more fully implemented and insurance companies are able to raise their rates they feel matches their risk.
CalMatters events: Join us April 16 for “How are the kids? A dive into what's stressing young Californians and the state’s plan to help.” This half-day symposium in downtown Los Angeles will examine youth mental health issues and includes lunch. Register today.
Other Stories You Should Know
Newsom’s rightward turn?
Tumblr media

Four episodes into his new podcast — in which Gov. Gavin Newsom speaks with MAGA loyalists and other guests — reactions from listeners and legislators from both sides of the political aisle have been a mix of bewilderment, skepticism and concern.
As CalMatters’ Alexei Koseff explains, in the podcast’s debut episode, Newsom surprised members of the LGBTQ community when he said the issue of transgender athletes competing in women’s sports was “deeply unfair” during a conversation with conservative provocateur Charlie Kirk.
In another episode with President Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon, the governor said he was “not an absolutist as it relates to being against tariffs.” But days before, Newsom issued a statement that said tariffs are “a tax on hardworking American families.”
With two years left in his governorship, legislators, advocates and California residents have been left wondering how much weight to give Newsom’s casual podcast comments when it comes to his stance on state policy.
Anthony Rendon, former Assembly speaker when Newsom took office during Trump’s first term: “They’re mystified. ‘WTF’ is the most common text message I get.”
Read more here.
Elsewhere in the state Capitol: Though it’s been four years since California passed a landmark law expanding mental health coverage, advocates continue to raise concerns about the lack of health plans covering mental health treatment. In response, the Legislature is considering a handful of bills that seek to regulate mental health insurance. Find out what they are from CalMatters’ Jocelyn Wiener.
Tesla lays groundwork for robotaxis

State regulators on Tuesday granted electric carmaker Tesla Inc. permission to kick off a charter service using Tesla-employed drivers in company-owned vehicles, writes CalMatters’ Malena Carollo.
Stemming from a November 2024 application from Tesla, the California Public Utilities Commission authorized the limited transportation service to shuttle Tesla employees in prearranged rides.
Though the permit does not enable Tesla to operate a rideshare service nor allow it to run driverless taxis, it could serve as a key step toward the company launching driverless vehicles. In January, Tesla’s CEO told investors it plans to launch self-driving cars in Austin in June.
Sam Abuelsamid, vice president of market research at communications firm Telemetry and an auto industry analyst: “The only reasonable explanation I can come up with for why they’ve got this (permit) is to allow them to test some of the operational backend services required to run a mobility service.”

And lastly: Protestors sue UCLA

Nearly a year after counterprotesters attacked UCLA students and faculty who were protesting the Gaza war at an encampment on campus, the pro-Palestinian demonstrators are suing University of California and UCLA officials over three separate events. Find out why from CalMatters’ Mikhail Zinshteyn.
California Voices
CalMatters columnist Dan Walters: Under pressure from the Trump administration, the University of California this week abandoned its diversity statement requirement for faculty — a practice the system should have never implemented in the first place.
To treat substance abuse disorder in rural communities, state and local governments must expand the number of “medication units” available to patients, writes Tracy Nguyen, a Stanford University student studying political science and public policy.

Canada Commits to U.S. Trade Talks. Trump Accuses Mexico of Violating Treaty. China Expands Military Recruitment. mRNA BIOWEAPONS PROHIBITION ACT. Technocracy Is The Beast System
Lioness of Judah Ministry
Apr 12, 2025
Yellen: ‘Trump Tariff Plans Are Doing Immense Damage to Our Economy’
Former Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claimed Friday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that President Donald Trump’s tariffs are doing “immense damage to our economy.”
Yellen said, “This is the worst self-inflicted policy wound I’ve ever seen in my career inflicted on our economy. The Trump tariff plans are doing immense damage to our economy. You can see that in the stock market, in the impact of these tariffs are expected to have on American households. And we’re even beginning to see what looks like a flight away from dollar-based assets in the financial markets, which is a really scary development.”
Why Trump quickly rolled back the global trade war
Did the President of the United States get what he wanted?
“Now I’ve seen it all.” I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve said that to myself over the past few months. Every time Donald Trump sets fire to another piece of the global order, I find myself staring at the same spot, wondering how we got here – and what I’ve missed in the script of modern politics. During his presidential campaign, Trump vowed to “teach a lesson” to all of America’s trading partners. True to form, he didn’t waste time testing that theory. In February, he launched a trial balloon by slapping tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico. The pretext? They weren’t doing enough to curb migration and drug trafficking. Ottawa and Mexico City quickly came to the table, validating Trump’s belief that the tariff stick could beat other nations into talks. That success emboldened him to try the same strategy globally.
iPanic: Apple Airlifts 600 Tons of iPhones to U.S. to Avoid Impending Tariff Hikes
Apple has reportedly airshipped a staggering 600 tons of iPhones from its production facility in India to the United States to avoid Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs. The tech giant, at grave risk due to tariffs on China, has expedited the shipment of 1.5 million iPhones since March.
The Verge reports that Apple, along with other tech giants such as Dell, Microsoft, and Lenovo, has been racing against time to ship as many expensive tech devices as possible before the implementation of new U.S. tariffs. The tariff hikes have been testing the resilience and adaptability of global tech supply chains. According to sources familiar with the matter, Apple lobbied officials to expedite customs clearance and even kept its plant in India operational on a Sunday to boost production by 20 percent.
Canada Commits to U.S. Trade Talks, Leaving China as Last Major Holdout
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Friday that his country would enter into trade talks with the United States in May, joining over 75 other nations entering into bilateral negotiations after U.S. President Donald J. Trump moved to impose reciprocal tariffs on a number of countries on April 2.
Earlier this week, Trump announced he would reduce the reciprocal tariff on nations that have not retaliated against the United States to 10 percent to allow time for negotiations. Speaking on Friday, Carney stated that he wishes to ensure that the next Canadian government “will be in the best possible position for negotiations with the United States, which, as the president and I have agreed, will begin from the start of May.” Canada, unlike most other countries, joined China in enacting retaliatory measures against the U.S.
Judge Sides With Trump Admin On Identification Rules For Illegal Immigrants
The federal government requires illegal immigrants to abide by identification rules including registration and fingerprinting.
A federal judge has allowed the Trump administration to enforce identification requirements for immigrants present in the United States illegally. In a ruling on Thursday, Judge Trevor Neil McFadden said that a rule by the Department of Homeland Security to require illegal immigrants to comply with statutory registration and fingerprinting may move forward as plaintiffs arguing against it failed to “demonstrate that they have standing to bring this suit.”
Obama-Appointed Judge Blocks Deportations of Over 500k Migrants
In the latest act of immigration-related lawfare against the Trump administration, a federal judge blocked the deportation of hundreds of thousands of Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan migrants with temporary protected status (TPS) after it was revoked.
As Breitbart News reported in March, the Trump administration removed the legal status of more than 500,000 migrants who entered the U.S. through a Biden administration parole program, with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warning impacted migrants that they will have 30 days to self-deport before law enforcement authorities go searching for them. “DHS has determined that a 30-day wind-down period provides affected parties sufficient notice while also preserving DHS’s ability to enforce the law promptly against those CHNV parolees lacking a lawful basis to remain in the United States,” the notice reads. “Accordingly, DHS is opting not to increase the wind-down period to more than 30 days.”

BREAKING NEWS: Revolutionary AI Scheduling Model Disrupts Multi-Billion Dollar Industries
IndustriesMay 14, 2025 – In a groundbreaking development set to redefine time management across education, fitness, and the arts, researchers from the Zurich Institute of Technology (ZIT) have unveiled an artificial intelligence model capable of autonomously optimizing human schedules with an accuracy rate exceeding 98.7%.Dubbed "ChronoPilot," the new system leverages deep contextual learning to interpret not only user preferences but also emotional states, productivity trends, and even regional weather forecasts to dynamically tailor personal and group schedules. In early trials, the system outperformed existing scheduling platforms by over 400% in efficiency and conflict resolution. The implications span vast sectors. Educational institutions using class scheduling software like Lunacal’s platform for class bookings have already reported dramatic improvements in attendance and engagement. In the fitness industry, where applications such as gym booking software are crucial, ChronoPilot’s integration led to a 37% rise in client retention during a 90-day pilot. Music academies leveraging music lesson scheduling tools observed a 52% reduction in missed appointments.ZIT’s Secret Weapon: Sentient Sync ProtocolWhat truly sets ChronoPilot apart is its proprietary Sentient Sync Protocol (SSP) — a neural time-mapping engine that mimics human anticipation. SSP doesn’t just block out time; it predicts the best time for each task based on thousands of variables, including circadian rhythms, cognitive load history, and even micro-fluctuations in vocal tone during user interactions.Dr. Lena Marwick, lead AI architect at ZIT, explained, “We’re no longer asking users to fit into rigid schedules. ChronoPilot adapts to them, moment by moment.”Global Trials, Unprecedented ResultsThe AI was tested across 1.2 million scheduling interactions in 11 countries, across five major time zones. In one compelling instance, a public school in Osaka integrated ChronoPilot into its digital classroom system. Within three weeks, student punctuality improved by 48%, and feedback indicated a 63% increase in perceived classroom coherence.Meanwhile, a UK-based national gym chain used ChronoPilot to coordinate personal training sessions across 87 locations. Instructors reported a 41% decrease in downtime, and an average boost of 18% in customer satisfaction scores.ChronoPilot vs. The Old GuardWhile current scheduling tools rely heavily on manual input or rigid templates, ChronoPilot learns from passive inputs — browsing behavior, sleep app data, voice command history — with the user’s consent. This passive data synergy allows it to preemptively adjust schedules without user intervention.Analysts say the AI’s capabilities pose an existential threat to legacy scheduling systems and even to calendar giants like Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. “It’s not just a calendar anymore,” says Gideon Lark, senior analyst at MetaMetrics. “It’s a lifestyle orchestrator.”Privacy Concerns and Ethical DebateNot everyone is celebrating. Digital rights watchdogs have raised concerns about the volume and sensitivity of data ChronoPilot processes. The AI can access everything from location logs to biometric signals. While ZIT asserts the system uses end-to-end encryption and offers opt-out data controls, some critics remain wary."We’re trading convenience for surveillance,” warns Aria Salim, director of the Tech Privacy Initiative. “There must be enforceable limits on how such AI models evolve, especially as they begin to predict and possibly influence human behavior.”ZIT has responded by publishing a white paper detailing its privacy protocols and inviting third-party audits. Still, the debate over AI autonomy and human agency continues to intensify.

A Rising Tide of E-Waste, Worsened by AI, Threatens Our Health, Environment, and Economy
Tumblr media
The digital age has ushered in a wave of innovation and convenience, powered in large part by artificial intelligence (AI). From AI-driven virtual assistants to smart home devices, technology has made life easier for millions. But beneath this rapid progress lies a less glamorous truth: a mounting crisis of electronic waste (e-waste).
The global e-waste problem is already enormous, with millions of tons discarded every year. Now, with the rapid growth of AI, this tide of e-waste is swelling even faster. Let’s break this down to understand the full scope of the issue and what can be done to mitigate it.
What Is E-Waste, and Why Should We Care?
E-waste encompasses discarded electronic devices — everything from old mobile phones and laptops to smart home gadgets, electric toothbrushes, and even large appliances like refrigerators. It’s not just junk; it’s an environmental and health hazard in disguise.
Each device contains a cocktail of valuable materials like gold and silver, but also toxic substances like lead, mercury, cadmium, and flame retardants. When improperly disposed of, these toxins leach into the environment, harming ecosystems and human health.
A Problem of Global Proportions
Annual Generation: The world generates over 50 million metric tons of e-waste annually, and this figure is projected to grow by 2 million tons each year.
Recycling Rates: Only 17% of e-waste is formally recycled. The rest? It ends up in landfills, incinerated, or handled by informal recycling sectors in developing nations.
Tumblr media
While we’re busy marveling at AI-driven innovations, the discarded byproducts of our tech obsession are quietly poisoning our planet.
The Role of AI in Escalating E-Waste
AI, often lauded as the backbone of modern technology, is inadvertently exacerbating the e-waste crisis. Let’s examine the key ways AI contributes to this issue:
1. Accelerating Product Obsolescence
AI-powered devices are evolving at an astonishing pace. Smartphones with AI-enhanced cameras and processors, smart TVs with AI voice assistants, and wearables with health-tracking AI have become must-haves.
But these devices are often rendered obsolete within a few years due to:
Frequent Software Updates: AI systems improve rapidly, making older hardware incompatible with newer software.
Limited Repairability: Many modern gadgets are designed in a way that discourages repairs — sealed batteries, proprietary parts, and inaccessible interiors push consumers toward replacing rather than fixing.
Consumer Demand for New Features: AI advancements create a “fear of missing out” (FOMO), prompting consumers to upgrade frequently.
2. Proliferation of AI-Specific Hardware
AI-driven technologies require specialized, powerful hardware. Graphics Processing Units (GPUs), Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), and custom AI chips are integral to devices and data centers. Unlike general-purpose electronics, these components are challenging to recycle due to their complexity.
3. Growing Data Center Infrastructure
Tumblr media
AI thrives on data, which means a relentless demand for computational power. Data centers, the backbone of AI, are:
Upgrading Constantly: To keep up with AI’s demands, servers are frequently replaced, generating massive amounts of e-waste.
Consuming Energy: Outdated hardware contributes to inefficiency and waste.
The Consequences of the E-Waste Crisis
The consequences of unmanaged e-waste are vast, impacting not only the environment but also human health and economic stability.
Health Hazards
E-waste releases harmful substances, including:
Lead and Cadmium: Found in circuit boards, these cause neurological damage and kidney issues when absorbed by humans.
Mercury: Found in screens and lighting, it can lead to brain damage and developmental issues, especially in children.
Burning Plastics: Informal recycling often involves burning e-waste, releasing carcinogenic dioxins into the air.
These pollutants disproportionately affect workers in informal recycling industries, often in developing countries with lax regulations.
Environmental Devastation
Soil Contamination: Toxic metals seep into the ground, affecting agriculture and entering the food chain.
Water Pollution: E-waste dumped in waterways contaminates drinking water and harms aquatic life.
Air Pollution: Incinerating e-waste produces greenhouse gases, contributing to climate change.
Economic Loss
Ironically, e-waste is a treasure trove of valuable materials like gold, silver, and rare earth elements. In 2019 alone, the value of discarded e-waste was estimated at $62.5 billion — higher than the GDP of many countries. Yet, due to poor recycling infrastructure, most of this wealth is wasted.
Turning the Tide: Solutions to the E-Waste Crisis
Tumblr media
For Tech Companies
Design for Longevity: Adopt modular designs that make repairs and upgrades easy. For example, Fairphone and Framework Laptop are already doing this.
Reduce Planned Obsolescence: Commit to longer software support and avoid locking critical components like batteries.
Improve Recycling Systems: Implement take-back programs and closed-loop recycling processes to recover valuable materials.
For Governments
Enforce Right-to-Repair Laws: Legislation that mandates access to repair manuals and spare parts empowers consumers to fix devices instead of discarding them.
Promote Circular Economy Models: Incentivize businesses to design products for reuse, repair, and recycling.
Ban Hazardous E-Waste Exports: Prevent the dumping of e-waste in developing countries, where improper recycling leads to environmental and human rights violations.
For Consumers
Think Before You Upgrade: Do you really need the latest gadget, or can your current one suffice?
Repair Instead of Replace: Support local repair shops or DIY fixes with the help of online resources.
Recycle Responsibly: Look for certified e-waste recycling programs in your area.
Tumblr media
Can AI Help Solve the Problem It Created?
Interestingly, AI itself could be part of the solution. Here’s how:
Optimizing Recycling Processes: AI-powered robots can sort e-waste more efficiently, separating valuable materials from toxins.
Predicting E-Waste Trends: AI can analyze data to anticipate where e-waste generation is highest, helping governments and companies prepare better recycling strategies.
Sustainable Product Design: AI can assist engineers in designing eco-friendly devices with recyclable components.
A Call to Action
The e-waste crisis is a ticking time bomb, exacerbated by the rapid rise of AI and our insatiable appetite for new technology. But the solution lies in our hands. By embracing sustainable practices, holding companies accountable, and making conscious choices as consumers, we can ensure that the benefits of AI don’t come at the cost of our planet.
It’s time to act, because a rising tide of e-waste doesn’t just threaten the environment — it threatens our future.

Jackson Hole: Fed policy collides with reality in the most unequal county in America (CNN) Central bank officials from across the world have descended upon Jackson Hole, Wyoming this week to discuss policy decisions that will shape the economy for years to come. But as they talk about inflation and the economy in the abstract, residents of the popular vacation destination are very much feeling the realities of their policies. That’s because Jackson Hole is the most economically unequal place in the United States, according to the Economic Policy Institute. The snow kissed peaks and verdant valleys of Jackson Hole aren’t just awe-inspiring. They’re also symbolic. Among the top 1% in Teton County (where Jackson Hole is located), the average annual income is a jaw-dropping $22.5 million. The median household income in Teton County in 2021, meanwhile, was about $94,000, according to the US Census Bureau. The annual August symposium of global financial leaders and economic elites wouldn’t happen without the servers, cooks, drivers and hotel and event staff who make it function—the same people feeling the hard impact of elevated inflation, high interest rates and a softening economy the most. “If you look at income, Jackson Hole is really a microcosm of the nation’s wealth inequalities laid out across these dramatic landscapes of the Mountain West,” said Kenan Fikri, director of research at The Economic Innovation Group, a bipartisan policy organization. “It’s a ground zero for understanding how inflation affects the budgets of lower-earning households when they’re already financially stressed.”
Trump’s Mug Shot, a Presidential First, Is a Merch Bonanza (WSJ) First came the mug shot. Then came the merch. Within hours of Donald Trump surrendering himself to authorities in Fulton County, Ga., items plastered with the glowering former president in his signature suit and cherry-red tie were all over Etsy, eBay and the custom-design site Redbubble. Trump’s own campaign got in on the action: On Thursday evening, it sent out an email, soliciting $47 donations in exchange for a T-shirt printed with the mug shot above the phrase “Never Surrender.” His campaign’s online merchandise storefront now includes shirts, beverage coozies and a bumper sticker featuring the booking photo. The former president’s son Donald Trump Jr. was also peddling a $30 T-shirt and a $16 coffee mug printed with the mug shot, saying that proceeds from the sales would go to his father’s legal defense fund. Etsy makers began listing T-shirts that said “Legend” and “NOT GUILTY” beneath Trump’s image. In near-record time, Trump’s mug shot has joined Che Guevara’s bereted visage, sneering Bart Simpson and the goofy Minions as a wearable meme—the sort of image that will be found in souvenir shops and thrift-store racks for years to come.
Ecuador election: As run-off looms, voters crave genuine change (Al Jazeera) From her small convenience store in northern Quito, Tanya Vazquez is consumed by fear. Her modest shop has been robbed three times in the last few years, she said; in one case, the perpetrator fired a gun towards her husband, although the bullet missed. One of their sons was also robbed and assaulted in the street. “I am very afraid, with all the crime that’s happening,” Vazquez told Al Jazeera from behind the shop counter in the Ecuadorian capital. “I just hope that whoever the new president is can at least give us some security and stability.” Indeed, as Ecuador grapples with rising crime and political violence, many in the country are craving change. Snap elections last Sunday were overshadowed by this month’s assassination of Fernando Villavicencio, a prominent anticorruption candidate. The election will head to a run-off on October 15. These elections represent a pivotal moment for the small Andean nation, but it remains an open question as to whether either candidate can deliver the change voters crave.
A miracle:’ Virginia man meets Chilean family 42 years after he was stolen as newborn (USA Today) It has been 42 years since María Angélica González saw her son. He was a newborn. A nurse told González he needed to be put in an incubator because he was premature. Not long after, she returned with devastating news: The baby was dead. For 42 years, that’s what González believed. For 42 years, it has been a lie. Gonzalez’s son, Jimmy Lippert Thyden, was stolen from González, adopted out to unwitting parents in the United States and raised in Arlington, Virginia. For 42 years, Thyden believed he had no living relatives in Chile, where he was born. Then one day in April, Thyden read a USA TODAY story about a California man who had learned he was stolen from his mother in Chile and illegally adopted out to an American couple. It got Thyden thinking: Could the same thing have happened to him? Within weeks, Thyden learned the truth. And last week, González finally got to hug her son. “It’s a miracle from God,” González, 69, told USA TODAY during a video chat in Spanish as she sat with Thyden on Saturday. “When I learned that he was alive, I couldn’t believe it.”
Legal Troubles for Sarkozy (Foreign Policy) It’s been an eventful week for former world leaders facing legal problems. On Friday, magistrates in Paris ordered former French President Nicolas Sarkozy to stand trial on charges that his 2007 election campaign received a $54 million illegal contribution from former Libyan dictator Muammar al-Qaddafi’s government. The one-term president has denied wrongdoing alongside 12 other co-defendants, including three of his former cabinet ministers. He will be tried in 2025. This is far from Sarkozy’s first indictment rodeo. The 68-year-old leader has been convicted twice for corruption and influence-peddling. In May, he lost his first appeal for a 2021 accusation alleging he tried to bribe a judge. His three-year prison term was brought down to just one trip around the sun, which Sarkozy can fulfill under house arrest. He still faces a second probe into allegations that he received a payment of $3.2 million by Russian insurance firm Reso-Garantia in 2019 while he was working as a consultant.
Nerve agents, poison and window falls. Over the years, Kremlin foes have been attacked or killed (AP) The attacks range from the exotic—poisoned by drinking polonium-laced tea or touching a deadly nerve agent—to the more mundane of getting shot at close range. Some take a fatal plunge from an open window. Over the years, Kremlin political critics, turncoat spies and investigative journalists have been killed or assaulted in a variety of ways. None, however, has been known to perish in an air accident. But on Wednesday, a private plane carrying a mercenary chief who staged a brief rebellion in Russia plummeted into a field from tens of thousands of feet after breaking apart. Assassination attempts against foes of President Vladimir Putin have been common during his nearly quarter century in power. Those close to the victims and the few survivors have blamed Russian authorities, but the Kremlin has routinely denied involvement—as it did on Friday by saying it was “a complete lie” it had anything to do with the jet crash. There also have been reports of prominent Russian executives dying under mysterious circumstances, including falling from windows, although whether they were deliberate killings or suicides is sometimes difficult to determine.
UNICEF says a year on from Pakistan’s catastrophic floods, millions of children still need support (AP) The United Nations children’s agency on Friday warned that a year on from Pakistan’s devastating floods, an estimated 4 million children continue to need humanitarian assistance and access to essential services as a shortage of funds remains a hurdle in recovery. The warning from UNICEF comes as authorities in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province are racing against time to evacuate people from areas affected by the overflowing River Sutlej. Since Aug. 1, rescuers have evacuated over 100,000 people from marooned areas in the districts of Kasur and Bahawalpur. More than six months ago, dozens of countries and international institutions at a U.N.-backed conference in Geneva pledged more than $9 billion to help Pakistan recover and rebuild from last summer’s floods. But most of the pledges were in the form of loans for projects, which are still in the planning stages.
A Crisis of Confidence Is Gripping China’s Economy (NYT) Earlier this year, David Yang was brimming with confidence about the prospects for his perfume factory in eastern China. After nearly three years of paralyzing Covid lockdowns, China had lifted its restrictions in late 2022. The economy seemed destined to roar back to life. Mr. Yang and his two business partners invested more than $60,000 in March to expand production capacity at the factory, expecting a wave of growth. But the new business never materialized. In fact, it’s worse. People are not spending, he said, and orders are one-third of what they were five years ago. “It is disheartening,” Mr. Yang said. “The economy is really going downhill right now.” For much of the past four decades, China’s economy seemed like an unstoppable force, the engine behind the country’s rise to a global superpower. But the economy is now plagued by a series of crises. A real estate crisis born from years of overbuilding and excessive borrowing is running alongside a larger debt crisis, while young people are struggling with record joblessness. And amid the drip feed of bad economic news, a new crisis is emerging: a crisis of confidence. A growing lack of faith in the future of the Chinese economy is verging on despair. Consumers are holding back on spending. Businesses are reluctant to invest and create jobs. And would-be entrepreneurs are not starting new businesses. “Low confidence is a major issue in the Chinese economy now,” said Larry Hu, chief China economist for Macquarie Group, an Australian financial services firm.
Syria’s south rocked by protests amid anger over fuel hikes (Washington Post) Protests against the government of President Bashar al-Assad have spread across southern Syria in the days following a government decision to slash fuel subsidies, amid growing desperation as hyperinflation sends prices soaring. As the relatively rare protests gained force under a government that has applied brutal tactics to keep its population in line through more than a decade of civil war, young activists crept through the streets of the southern city of Sweida at night, affixing makeshift fliers to shuttered storefronts, encouraging civil unrest. The protests began Aug. 20 at a central roundabout, with a chant of “Syria wants freedom.” A demonstrator spray-painted a message on the roundabout’s edge, giving the gathering point a new name: “Dignity Square.” The demonstrations have since spread, as have photos and videos of them, some evoking the protests that filled the country’s streets in 2011 as hopeful masses demanded the ouster of Assad. Years of conflict were to follow.
Power returns to most of Kenya after a 14-hour outage (AP) Electricity was being restored in most parts of Kenya on Saturday, 14 hours after the longest outage in recent memory, the majority government-owned power distributor said. There was still no clear explanation for the outage that hit on Friday night, shutting down the country’s main international airport, affecting major hospitals and even the president’s office compound. The outage came just weeks before Kenya’s government hosts the first Africa Climate Summit, where energy will be key on the agenda. Kenya gets almost all its energy from renewable sources, but infrastructure and alleged mismanagement remain an issue in the country of more than 50 million people.

Why Every Business Needs a Website
Tumblr media
In today’s digital age, having a website is not just a luxury—it’s a necessity. Whether you're running a small shop or a large enterprise, a website serves as the digital face of your business. It gives your brand a voice, a home, and a platform to reach customers around the clock.
Introduction
We live in a world where people search online for everything—from local stores to expert services. If your business doesn’t have a website, you’re missing out on one of the most powerful tools for visibility and growth. Even if your business operates offline, customers will search online to verify your existence, check your offerings, or read reviews. A well-built website can answer all their questions, build trust, and convert visitors into paying customers.
Builds Trust and Professionalism
First impressions matter. When someone hears about your business, they’re likely to search for it online. A professional website builds instant credibility. Without one, potential customers may think your business isn’t established or trustworthy. A clean layout, clear messaging, and real customer testimonials can do wonders in earning that initial trust.
Increases Visibility
With billions of daily searches happening online, a website ensures your business shows up when people are looking for your products or services. It’s your opportunity to get discovered by new customers. Unlike a physical store that has limited reach, a website allows you to be visible locally, nationally, and even globally.
Works 24/7 for You
Your website doesn’t take breaks. While you're sleeping, customers can still visit your site, learn about your business, make bookings, or even place orders. It’s like having a dedicated employee who works round the clock to serve and inform your customers.
Enhances Customer Convenience
Customers want quick answers and smooth experiences. A website allows them to find your contact details, working hours, service areas, FAQs, or even directions—without having to call you. By making information easily accessible, you remove friction and improve the customer journey.
Showcases Your Products or Services
Whether you're a boutique owner, a service provider, or a restaurant, your website gives you a platform to beautifully showcase what you offer. With photos, videos, and descriptions, you can present your offerings exactly how you want—without relying on third-party platforms that restrict your content.
Boosts Marketing Results
All of your marketing efforts—social media, email campaigns, paid ads—should drive traffic to your website. It serves as your main hub. From here, visitors can explore, engage, and take action. Without a website, marketing campaigns are less effective and harder to measure.
Moreover, with proper optimization, your site can rank in search engines, bringing you free, consistent traffic without spending on ads. A strong online presence also means better brand recall.
Generates Leads and Sales
A website is a powerful tool to collect inquiries and generate leads. Features like contact forms, chat widgets, and call-to-action buttons help guide visitors toward taking action. Whether it’s booking a consultation, requesting a quote, or purchasing a product, your site makes it easy.
Pair it with analytics, and you’ll know which pages are performing best and which campaigns are driving results. You can constantly improve based on data.
Helps You Compete
Look at your competitors. Chances are, they already have a website. If you don’t, you're giving away potential customers. Even if your offerings are better, prospects may choose a competitor simply because they’re easier to find online.
Having a well-structured, responsive, and informative website helps you stand out. It shows you’re serious, modern, and ready to serve.
Enables Better Customer Support
Your website can answer common questions through a FAQ section, offer live chat support, or even integrate help articles. This reduces customer frustration and the workload on your team. You can guide users effectively and keep them engaged.
Additionally, customers appreciate self-service options. They can track orders, book appointments, or download guides—all from your website, without waiting.
Affordable and Measurable
Unlike traditional advertising like print or TV, a website is cost-effective and measurable. You can start with a simple site and scale it as your business grows. Tools like Google Analytics let you track everything—visits, behavior, conversions—giving you full control over your business performance.
You’ll also save time. Instead of answering the same queries repeatedly, you can direct customers to relevant pages or blogs on your site.
Essential for Branding
Your website lets you express your brand fully. From colors and fonts to messaging and values, you’re in charge of how customers perceive you. You can reinforce your brand story, highlight your mission, and position yourself as a trusted expert in your industry.
This level of control simply isn’t possible on third-party platforms like Facebook or Instagram, where your reach and design options are limited.
Adapts to Business Growth
Whether you’re launching new products, adding services, or expanding to new locations, your website can grow with you. Add new pages, blog posts, sections, or features anytime.
You can also integrate tools like booking systems, e-commerce, CRM, newsletters, or chatbots—making your website a complete business solution.
Common Myths Debunked
“I don’t sell online, so I don’t need a website.” Even if you’re not an e-commerce business, customers want to know about you online. They’ll search for services, reviews, pricing, and contact info.
“I have social media, that’s enough.” Social platforms are great for engagement, but your website gives you complete control. Plus, social pages often change algorithms, limiting your reach.
“Websites are expensive.” Not anymore. With the right team, you can get a professional, mobile-friendly website at a reasonable price. It's an investment that brings long-term returns.
What Should Your Website Include?
To make the most of your site, be sure to include:
A clean homepage with your core message
An About section telling your story
A Services or Products page
Testimonials or case studies
A gallery or portfolio
A blog for updates and SEO
Contact form and location map
Links to your social media accounts
Ensure your site is mobile-responsive and loads quickly. Today’s users won’t wait for a slow or broken website.
Final Thoughts
In 2025 and beyond, having a website is no longer optional. It’s a critical foundation for growth, trust, and success. Whether you’re a new startup or a 20-year-old local business, a website opens doors you didn’t know existed.
It's your brand's home on the internet. A place where people can connect with you, learn about your offerings, and become loyal customers.
If you’ve been putting it off, now’s the time to act. Your competition is online. Your customers are online. You should be too.

Outsourced Accounting for Startups- Everything You Need To Know
Tumblr media
The startup environment in 2025 is faster and more competitive than ever before. With more than 5 million new companies launched in the U.S. alone last year, entrepreneurs bear an amazing amount of stress to build, grow, and raise capital, on generally shoestring budgets and limited resources. As per QuickBooks, 3 out of 5 startups now outsource at least some of their accounting, and a PWC report indicates that by 2025, 40% of all accounting and finance functions will be automated or outsourced. The global market for accounting outsourcing is expected to be over $61 billion this year, as many entrepreneurs are using outsourced accounting services for their startups.
Why Outsourced Accounting for Startups is Crucial
The latest trends are enabling more usage of outsourced accounting services for startups. Let’s understand them in detail:
1. Cost Effectiveness and Variable Pricing
Startups operate with shoestring budgets, so each dollar counts. Outsourced accounting for startups eliminates the cost of full-time salary, employee benefits, office leases, payroll taxes, and costly software subscriptions. Startups only pay for what they use, and flexible pricing models grow or shrink with business expansion or contraction. The process can decrease accounting cost by as much as 50%, and startups can invest more in product engineering, marketing, or acquiring customers.
2. Advanced Tools and Expertise Accessibility
Outsourcing gives startups instant access to highly skilled accountants, tax professionals, and financial planners—often with inter-industry experience and regulatory expertise. These professionals possess the newest tax legislation, compliance regulations, and industry best practices, keeping startups out of expensive errors and penalties. Outsourcing companies possess the newest accounting applications and cloud technology, giving immediate, real-time financial reporting and analysis without in-house IT investment infrastructure.
3. Time Preservation and Concentration on Core Business
Founders have a lot of responsibilities, and there are many tasks ranging from capital raising to product launches. Outsourcing bookkeeping for startups preserves precious time by allowing professionals to handle bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, tax filing, and financial reporting. Therefore, founders and their teams can concentrate on growth, customer interaction, and innovation instead of being consumed by spreadsheets and compliance reports.
4. Scalability and Adaptability
As startups scale, so do their accounting needs. Outsourced accounting partners are merely better positioned to ramp up or ramp down services as needed, from simple seed-stage bookkeeping to sophisticated financial modeling, audit assistance, and investor reporting for growth companies. This is liberating startups from having to hire and train fresh staff as they grow.
5. Improved Accuracy and Compliance
Professional accountants facilitate the upkeep of accurate financial records, current and fully compliant with national and international legislation. This eliminates the risk of errors, deadline misses, or non-compliance charges—risk zones for startups handling finances in-house. Outsourced companies are better placed to have stringent internal controls and check-and-recheck processes, further minimizing risk.

How can I choose a good swimming pool robot manufacturer?
Many suppliers promise high quality, but not all deliver. The wrong choice could cost time and money. Look for proven experience,
quality control, and customization options to find the right pool robot manufacturer.
Our American customers told us,,I learned this lesson the hard way during one of my early sourcing trips. I trusted an unverified supplier.
It delayed my shipments, and I missed an entire selling season.
In the following text, I will analyze from several aspects to help you understand how to choose a suitable swimming pool robot manufacturer.
What makes a pool robot manufacturer reliable?
Experience and transparency are key. A reliable manufacturer shows their process and proves their capability.
**Choose a supplier with production experience, clear communication, and real customer success stories.
Some factories say they have 10 years of experience. But when you ask for past customer feedback or shipment records, they hesitate.
That’s a red flag.
I only trust manufacturers that are:
- Open about their production capacity
- Willing to provide references
- Transparent with certifications and test reports
Here’s a quick table I use when evaluating manufacturers:
Criteria
What to Check
Red Flags
Years in Business
Factory license, export history
No verified documents
Client Testimonials
References,Google/Alibaba reviews
Only internal reviews
Factory Visit Allowed
Video calls or on-site visit options
Avoids face-to-face meetings
Main Markets
Match your target regions
Claims “global” with no proof
This is especially important for robot products, where long-term reliability affects brand reputation.
Tumblr media
How important is certification and compliance?
Certifications protect your brand and prevent shipping issues.
A reliable pool robot supplier must offer CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications for global shipping.
Not all certificates are created equal
Once, a supplier gave me a “certificate” with fake agency stamps. That experience taught me to verify every document directly with the testing lab.
Key certificates for pool robots:
Region
Certificate Needed
What It Proves
Europe
CE, RoHS
Electrical safety, environmental safety
North America
FCC, ETL
Radio frequency and safety compliance
Asia
PSE (Japan), KC
National electrical safety standards
Also ask:
- Who issued the certificate?
- Is the certificate under the supplier’s name or their customer’s?
- Can you contact the lab for verification?
Good factories won’t hesitate to give you test reports and links to public databases.
Can they support flexible customization needs?
Custom branding is critical for private label success. Your supplier must support it fast and efficiently.
Pick a partner that supports private labeling, design tweaks, and packaging customization with low MOQs.
Customization isn’t just logo printing
When I work with mid-to-high-end client from the U.S., design is not just an aesthetic concern—it’s a marketing tool. They often ask:
- Can you change the brush type?
- Is it possible to add app control or remote features?
- Can the robot be color-matched to our brand?
These are reasonable requests. But not all suppliers have in-house engineering or design teams to handle them quickly.
What I look for:
Custom Option
Why It Matters
Supplier Should Provide
Hardware adjustment
Adaptability to pool types
Engineering support
Software integration
Market trend and smart features
App or Bluetooth integration
Packaging design
In-store branding or eCommerce appeal
Graphic team or dieline template
Good factories usually have a project manager who coordinates these changes from start to finish.
A good-looking sample doesn’t mean mass production will meet your standards.
Make sure the supplier has standard QC checks and third-party inspection reports for every order
The real meaning of "quality control"
I’ve seen it too often. A buyer gets a great sample, places a bulk order, and receives inconsistent products. That’s not bad luck—it’s bad quality control.
Ask your supplier:
- Do they allow third-party inspections?
- What internal QC methods do they use?
- How many inspectors per production line?
For example, in our factory, we apply a 5-step inspection:
1. Incoming Material Check
2. In-Process QC
3. Finished Product Inspection
4. Random Sampling
5. Pre-shipment Inspection
Each step is logged in an internal system. If your supplier cannot describe something similar, it’s a warning.
Also, make sure they understand:
- IPX rating for waterproof robots
- Battery safety for lithium parts
- Cable durability tests for tangle-free operation
These are critical for pool robot safety and longevity.

How can I verify product quality before shipment?
I used to think a few product photos were enough. I learned the hard way.
Use third-party inspections, full-function tests, and video confirmations before shipment.
Ask for Real-Time Video Checks
I now request a live video demo before every shipment. I ask them to:
- Unbox random units
- Run cleaning cycles in real-time
- Show remote controls and app pairing
These steps expose any hidden defects or shortcuts.
Sample Testing
For new suppliers, I always request 1-2 full-function units to test locally. If they hesitate, that’s a red flag. Quality products can speak for themselves.
What mistakes should I avoid when sourcing swimming pool robots?
It’s easy to get trapped by low prices or over-promises.
Avoid vague communication, skipping factory visits, and over-relying on supplier claims.
Don't Trust Every Brochure
Glossy PDFs don’t mean they can deliver. Ask for:
- Live factory tours
- Tooling molds or assembly footage
- Real customer reviews
I once trusted a “French-designed” robot, only to receive a weak motor model from an unknown brand.
Avoid One-Time Suppliers
Some factories disappear after the first order. I ask:
- Do you have a company domain email?
- Can you provide customs export records?
- Do you offer long-term contracts or exclusivity?
Reliable suppliers think long-term, not short-term profit.
Pay Attention to Shipping Readiness
Even a good product fails if delayed. Ask:
- Do you pre-stock components?
- What’s your typical port of shipment?
- Can you handle DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)?
I once lost two months of peak sales waiting for customs clearance. Now, I work only with suppliers who offer end-to-end logistics help.
Conclusion
Find the right manufacturer by mixing research, smart questions, and clear verification. We believe that through the above key points,
you will choose a suitable swimming pool robot manufacturer. Additionally, Lincinco is a reliable Chinese swimming pool robot manufacturer.
