Custom Toonami Block Update!

(Since I’m always looking to do my own thing to make Valentine’s Day special, this Saturday I’m switching up the Custom Toonami Block for the holiday! Featuring the Custom Toonami Block Lonely Hearts Marathon, a specially curated lineup of shows designed to warm the heart and tighten the pants with a selection of shows based around loving relationships and fanservice, ordered from least to most lewd (except Dragon Maid gets top billing regardless of lewdness because it’s Dragon Maid)

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid starts the service first off, The Helpful Fox Senko-san snuggles up right after, Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou warms the heart after that, Do You Love Your Mom and her Two-Hit Multi Target Attacks? has a really long name in the middle of the block, KEIJO!!!! bashes butts soon after, MM! brings the pain and Interspecies Reviewers buys the night off to finish. Look I’m sorry I had to do the Toonami lineup rundown pun thing let me have this.

Plus on the actual Valentine’s Day I’m keeping my tradition of watching critically acclaimed sappy anime movies alive by watching Weathering With You and getting a big heart-shaped pizza to ring in the special day.

I’ll probably pick a random episode of each or if I’m still watching the series I may just continue where I left off but just didn’t want to be watching the first episode of everything over again. I may or may not throw in the regular Custom Toonami Block shows if I have time, I just know I’m off this weekend and want to make the most of a holiday where I have a couple days off for once, so wish me luck, I think this’ll be a fun one!

Custom Toonami Block Valentine’s Day Marathon Rundown!

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: The Valentine’s Day/Hotspring episode was perfect for this weekend of course. As always Dragon Maid offers up great lewd comedy with some heartwarming interactions between Shouta and Takiya and a good finale with Tohru and Kobayashi to get us warmed up for the start of Dragon Maid S hopefully soon.

The Helpful Fox Senko-san: As far as I remember this anime doesn’t have a Valentine’s episode so I just went with the one  where they play around in the snow since it’s really cold here. Of course cute, fluffy, semi-incest-coded antics ensue and then Sora shows up to tease Nakano with her breasts but he’s a man of culture and just wants the fox tails.

Miss Caretaker of Sunohara-sou: Aki gets left out of the Student Council girls’ trip and so he spends the day with Ayaka and Nana making toasted yams which I’ve never had but always look really good in anime. Then Nana teases Ayaka about getting fat even though neither of them have a spec of fat on them so Ayaka works out in the room behind the house and catches a cold and Aki has to take care of her and wipe the sweat off her naked body and I’m pretty sure the kid can’t be considered a virgin anymore at this point.

Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?: My god every time I have to type that full name I feel like I’m going to have a stroke. I didn’t get too far into watching this the first time so I just picked up on episode 3 which just so happened to be the slutty armor/hot spring episode so I guess that’s lucky. Also Wise’s mom watched too much Ouran Host Club and wants to use muscle men as furniture and that’ll probably cause problems later and Mamako uses her motherly lack of wisdom to teach Wise that only her mom is her mom and she should try to make up with her if she can (which may not be the best idea because she sounds abusive but I get the idea)

KEIJO!!!!: So I left this one about halfway through and oh my god coming back to it suddenly being dubbed and talking about using their butts properly with the straight-faced intensity of a shonen anime training arc was a trip. Nozomi has to pluck turnips with her butt (NOT LIKE THAT BUT NOT ENTIRELY DISSIMILAR FROM THAT) because her butt has gone Ultra Super Saiyan and has too much muscle to actually hit anyone now so she has to figure out how to upgrade her butt to Super Saiyan 2 instead, and she does because Butt Physics that I don’t fully understand just like regular physics.

MM!: I’ve seen this whole anime like twice so I just picked my favorite episode and it’s where Miya wants to take Arashiko to an all girl’s school so she doesn’t have to deal with her fear of men. I like the little dialogue here between Miya and Mio where Miya just wants Arashiko to not have to suffer with her phobia but Mio tells her just avoiding the problem won’t fix it and she’s going to have to learn to not have an irrational fear of all men that makes her start decking everyone she sees sooner or later. This all gets worse when Arashiko’s abuser who caused her fear comes back into the picture and Taro finds her depressed and helpless. Taro stands up to this jerk and tells him to stay away from her but unfortunately for him he’s in the boxing club and Taro’s just some dude that likes getting hit by girls. Luckily though since he’s a mascohist this gives him an excuse to have a Shonen Protagonist level pain tolerance and with a little divine intervention from Mio at the end he manages to deck the guy out and get him to stay away from his friends. Arashiko comes back and says she doesn’t want to hide from her problems and wants to stay in the place where she’s getting to know her friends better so Miya just decides to transfer to their school instead.

Interspecies Reviewers: I left off on episode 2 of this one so it was a good place to pick up for today. Turns out Astolfo isn’t the only girly guy packing a Monster Energy Drink sized dick when the Reviewers go to the Fairy Brothel. Also Piccolo wants them to go fuck demons but they go fuck cowgirls instead because “Gravity Bro”

I’ll be doing Weathering With You tommorrow for actual Valentine’s Day but this was a lot of fun, tons of anime that just give me the warm fuzzies on a holiday weekend off, I’ve been doing this for a few years now where I try to do something new every Valentine’s Day and make it a nice self-care day but I think this might be my favorite one yet, it was lots of fun going through tons of sexy sappy anime both new and old and all of these titles are sweet and ridiculous in their own way.
