A very good article about junior Russian pairs by @ClaireCloutier - definitely worth a read if you would like to familiarize yourself with them before Russian Junior Nationals (Feb. 1-5) and Junior Worlds in March.

I've gotten fairly familiar with the senior single skaters, but I don't know much about the junior single skaters. Are there any promising juniors that are or might be switching to senior next season that I should keep an eye out for?

Ladies: Marin Honda, Yuna Shiraiwa, Alina Zagitova, Polina Tsurskaya, Kaori Sakamoto, basically any of the Japanese or Russian girls. The ones I just mentioned will be senior-eligible next season. There’s also Rika Kihira (who has a triple axel), Anastasiia Gubanova, and Eunsoo Lim, who are top junior skaters this season but aren’t eligible for seniors next season.

Men: Vincent Zhou, Jun Hwan Cha, Dmitri Aliev (not sure if he’s turning senior next season, but he’s old enough), Nicolas Nadeau, Alexander Samarin

Ice dance: Rachel Parsons/Michael Parsons, Lorraine McNamara/Quinn Carpenter, Alla Loboda/Pavel Drozd

Pairs: Anastasia Mishina/Vladimir Mirzoev won JGPF, but they’re apparently splitting after this season. Anna Duskova/Martin Bidar are turning senior already and will compete at Euros and senior Worlds this season.

Some nice pics from a master class this weekend in Igora

This channel has a few fancams from the demonstration - Elizaveta, K/S, B/K, Efimova/Korovin, and the new pair Osipova/Tarasenko. For those who don’t remember, Vlad Tarasenko skated singles and used to be coached by Eteri.  Nika Osipova, his partner, used to skate with Alexander Gallyamov, who now skates with Anastasia Mishina, who used to skate with Vladimir Mirzoev, etc...Anyway, this new pair is coached by Moskvina and Oleg Vasiliev, and I think they look pretty good, especially considering how new he is to pair skating.
