I know i always joke ppl who doesnt like rice are weak but honestly, im glad most of us have choice to eat the most fulfilling food for us. but some aren't so lucky. Abdul salam's family is one of those people. I'm making this poll to give attention to their situation.

Abdul Salam ( @abdalsalam1990 ) is a 26 year old man who is married to a woman named Aya Al-Batniji. Abdul also has a father, mother, and three other siblings. Abdul and Aya recently had a baby girl, her name is Iman and she is only a year old. All she knows about the world is life under the genocide. She's suffering from malnutrition and is traumatized because of a life of constant displacement and bombings. They have to flee to the south, moving place to place NINE times to survive.

Please don't let the sheer scale of atrocities numb you from their pain. Have heart and don't ignore. They might not be the only family you know facing this situation, but you still have to give them the same care and compassion the way you do to people you know personally.

One of them Jack very VERY vaguely insinuates that it Wants to say it loves them. I actually kinda fuck with how I worded that one honestly

There's one where it rambles on about how Harry should hate it or whatever because it did a little killing. 🙄 Get over yrself dude. There's blood on your hands? Wash it off!

One I don't think is roleplay related but? Whatever. I was gonna write about Jack offering him a smoke and then they do that gayass thing where you light the other guys' cigarette with your own that's still in your mouth. You know what I mean

I also feel like I've written about Jack tumbling out of the arcade cabinet after the Henry fight like 5 times by now I think about that all the goddamn time.

I think that is all I too love that thang. They are our horrible amalgamations <3

Another thing I noticed about decolonization type sites is the occasional phrasing of "return" to europe

(gonna note that this is broadly speaking from articles written by white settlers. I've not seen any native person explicitly call for such. The closest I've seen any native person say is that settlers don't have an inherent right to be on North America &/or other native people would express that opinion. Feel like that's worth knowing when the first thing people jump to is displacement, regardless of validity.)

Whatever your opinion of that proposal is, imo phrasing it as a "return" is bullshit. If you told a European that you, an american/canadian was European they'd laugh you out of the room. Call it immigration, moving, eviction or displacement if you want, but it's not a return. That implies far more of a connection than actually exists.

climate change is such an infuriating problem because it's so solvable! The world has cut down emissions globally before! This isn't a new concept!

My opinion on arcee being blue or pink keeps shifting (personally I prefer blue but am very biased), but I will say she looks better as a motorcycle than a car.

Theys Eluay was one of the most respected man in the issue of west papuan liberation. Despite his position on supporting integration to indonesia in 1962, the man has grown into an outspoken ondofolo (leader) who speaks up about the various human rights issues and pushes for west papuan independence and the flying of the bintang kejora flag. On 10th of November 2001, he was murdered by the indonesian military. Rest in power.

I think most of my issues with the percy jackson (2023/2024) are very similar to my issues with Ahsoka (2023) in that they're both shows that clearly needed more time than they were given.
