They say being an adventurer is the most rewarding job out there.

"They get to see the world! They gather such riches! They claim ownership of such powerful relics!"

Bah, short sighted fools I say. And disrespectful more often than not.

I say the most rewarding job out there is being the person whom these over-excited "adventurers" get their equipment.

Being the expert who can tell them which relics are worth something, which might make a good weapon, or which are better off just being sold off to a merchant like me who can find a way to make use of them.

They are so accustomed to being worshiped by each towns-person that they don't even bother questioning your appraisals.

This makes getting interesting pieces for cheap a rather trivial matter~ Just tell them it's a junk item of sorts and that you can melt it down for scrap- they'll often shrug and accept any pitiful price.

Naive~

I found that it's surprisingly easy to "shift" the curses you find on these random dungeon baubles, both in what they "do" and what form they take.

It's also easy to convince a very talented, very underappreciated local smithy to join in on a fun little scheme and provide equipment to harbor this magic~

Before exploring these relics I had always assumed the rumors of cursed equipment that bound itself to the very soul of anyone mis-fortunate enough to make use of them to be just that- a rumor.

A fun little tavern tale to scare new adventurers off.

Luckily for me, that's not so.

You can do a great many things to a person who willingly encases themselves in your magic. You can change them. You can bend their flesh and mind. Erase memories, rewrite personalities. Create obedience.

CBS News has a fine heritage and some great news talent, but the folks in charge seem determined to destroy its reputation.

Start with the ludicrous blowback to CBS Mornings host Tony Dokoupil’s Sept. 30 interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates, in which Dokoupil pressed Coates on crucial facts he’d left out of his new anti-Israel book, such as the fact that the Jewish state is “surrounded by countries that want to eliminate it.”

They were all completely reasonable questions to ask about a polemic of its author, an intellectual who certainly should be able to defend his work.

But other network staff were furious at this act of Journalism 101: You’re not supposed to question lefties about their claims, it seems.

Surely they weren’t angry just because Coates is black, or anti-Israel?

Whatever: The suits pulled Dokoupil into a meeting with CBS News standards and practices team and its “Race and Culture Unit,” and reportedly chewed him out on a staff call, claiming his questioning of Coates didn’t meet CBS’ “editorial standards.”

CBS News CEO Wendy McMahon and her lieutenant Adrienne Roark reprimanded him for bringing “bias” to the interview, but failed to explain exactly how.

The re-education effort was also to feature a followup staff meeting moderated by Dr. Donald Grant, whom management called a “mental health expert, DEI strategist and trauma trainer” — but that got squelched after outside critics exposed Grant as wacko whose social-media posts include a racist smear of Sen. Tim Scott.

Meanwhile, Coates on a Trevor Noah podcast suggested that Gayle King (who was also sitting in on the interview, along with Nate Burleson) had told him before the sitdown what she planned to ask.

That sounds a lot more like a violation of good news practice than what Dokoupil did, but there’s no sign of any trouble for King.

Then came Bill Whitaker’s entirely professional interview of Kamala Harris, where she time and again dodged any substantial answers, prompting him to follow up, only for the Democratic candidate for president to dissolve into fresh word-salads and other evasions.

Once again, the higher ups felt compelled to intervene — by blatantly editing the package to make Harris look less awful.

Yes, blatantly: Soon after taping, the network released the raw footage of her hopeless answer to a question about Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu.

But by the time it aired that night, they’d edited in a “response” that was actually pulled from earlier in the conversation, and so make her seem more competent and less, well, Harris-y.

That is: CBS literally faked the “news.”

The editing also featured dubbing in narration by Whitaker over some of her responses, thereby burying more of the inconvenient truths revealed by the interview.

It’s hard to blame the Trump campaign for demanding that CBS release the raw transcript: It’d be one honorable response to being exposed as blatantly partisan hacks.

All this, incidentally, follows the thumb-on-the-scale work of CBS’ moderators in the J.D. Vance-Tim Walz debate, including Margaret Brennan’s utterly partisan and counter-factual “fact-check” of Vance.

CBS should be proud of Dokoupil and Whitaker’s work, ashamed of King and Brennan, yet management instead seems determined to teach up-and-comers to avoid honest journalism.

Ultimate owner Sheri Redstone has publicly supported Dokoupil and implicitly slammed the suits who came down on him.

Redstone’s trying to sell off CBS, but she might want to demand a management housecleaning now, since the folks running the news division seem determined to mis-manage its value down to zero.

Theory about the Garden of Eden Club

RANT INCOMING!!

So with this update we are finding out a lot about the club and I have several theories in mind surrounding it.

I feel like Mr. Kim is apart of making sure Idols get pressured into going to the club.

Examples:

He claims he's mad at everyone in the group and wants better for them, but he doesn't address the fact that the idols have personal issues. If he were really mad, he would fire the idols immediately, especially Lin, who has been given many chances! Something is up.

He literally hired Dong-hyun, the son of a famous person with no degree in psychology, to give therapy sessions to his idols lmao.

He also hired Castiel, whose father is a successful CEO. Do you think he doesn't know anyone at the club who could threaten the idols?

He probably makes more money from these poor idols whose mental health is declining so badly that they would do anything to succeed. He seems like the type to take advantage. He’s suspicious, sorry.

Every single artist under the company is popular due to outside forces coming into play to help boost the Idols popularity.

Examples:

Seo-yoon went to the club and got in contact with a benefactor who helped skyrocket the group's career. But with that came her failing health and eventual suicide.

After Seo-yoon's death, Mi-yeon suddenly surpasses the group in success and starts avoiding Luna. However, Mi-yeon was not feeling well in the days before her death, and she discovered the person who pushed Luna's sister into taking her life. She also commits suicide.

It's Castiel's father who is funding RK3, so he can get money back by helping cover up what happened to his son at the club. Without his support and money, they would have fallen off the charts and disbanded.

Dean literally admits that he's spying on everyone at the company for elite people. These people could include Mr. Kim or individuals associated with the Garden of Eden. He says he's a fox for a reason, and perhaps that helps him pay his bills and support X-EVO's success on the charts.

They are overworked so bad on purpose in order to make them vulnerable so they can get more Idols to go to the club and make deals.

Examples:

You heard it from Luna they HAD to be pushed to exhaustion when working hard for their debut cause it's a lot of money to prepare Idols for the beginning of their careers.

After they flopped post-debut, they needed to repay that money somehow. Seo-yoon, afraid of seeing her sister and group members hit rock bottom, sought out desperate measures.

After the idols in the club were used and then discarded, they were pushed to commit suicide so that the club wouldn't appear guilty and wouldn't have to pay them back.

Seong-hwa may have this sweet, hardworking leader vibe, but Luna has seen him exhausted and trying to hide the bags under his eyes multiple times. He is the only one in X-EVO who is like this, which is concerning. What could be causing this?

Additionally, he knew Seo-yoon was going to the club based on a picture he had of her leaving in his camera roll. Maybe he didn't speak up not just because he wanted to protect Luna, as he claims, but also because he's scared to say anything since someone is probably watching.

I think many of the idols, when they go to the club, end up selling their bodies, selling drugs, and becoming recruiters who lure other idols to the club.

Examples:

Castiel tried his hardest to save Seo-yoon from whatever was happening in the room she entered but was stopped by a man who literally tried to sexually assault him.

Idk if Dean or Castiel said this but one of them said something about watching your drinks so someone won't slip in something…

In notion, this implies that approaching strangers and drugging, groping, harassing, or even raping them is accepted there.

A lot of idols are roped in because they are caught in compromising situations where they could be exposed. The elites use this to their advantage and threaten to blackmail them if they don't go to the club.

Examples:

Poor Castiel was sexually assaulted by a man, and to prevent the story from getting out, his father paid the man and the club for their silence. But that protection didn’t extend to Seo-yoon. His father is making him work hard and physically abusing him because he can’t make much money off RK3.

Luna is heading down a dangerous path, getting involved in investigations with both her 'therapist' and the group's songwriter. They both know people who have been to the club.

They are using her to do things cause they know grief is tearing her apart and she wants answers. Not to mention Minhyuk caught her outside the club,

She shouldn’t trust anyone, even if they know people hurt by the club. Minhyuk’s full intentions aren’t clear! LUNA IS IN DANGER!!

Lin is on the verge of making the same mistakes as the other girls, but he’s acting irrationally and angrily. They are trying to keep him in line and imposing tighter restrictions on him, and his group’s poor performance is pushing him to desperate measures. Like Seo-yoon, he may seek outside help to save his group because he feels guilty.

Luna discovered that Mi-yeon might be gay or bisexual based on her crush on Castiel and her relationship with Seo-yoon, as seen from the photos and texts. But what if someone else knew this and threatened to blackmail her by releasing the photos if she didn’t comply with their demands?

Based off that ask about ASL+S but also golden, croc and warlord Sanji's growing up and being friends. I had a thought golden!Sanji and Single dad!Mihawk who keep visiting because it's good for Sanji. And after Sabo dies and Sanji is crying and Ace is telling Sanji that's not what he would want. Ace is telling him to toughen up and Luffy is nodding and Mihawk sits them down and explains grief and that there's no time limit for it and like he's talking to them like they're little adults. He also somehow goes back to Kuraigana as a father of three and not just one.

Mihawk suddenly has two absolutely feral children on his island who willingly rile up the humandrills, one of them is rubber, the other is the son of Roger and Rouge, he does not tell Shanks he has them, and his bed has four people sleeping in it regularly. It doesn't start that way every night but that's how he wakes up most mornings. He doesn't mind though, there's something about how the three of them are that makes his heart happy.

Mihawk lets Ace build his massive fires and lets Luffy rubber band around the island. He's not surprised when Garp shows up demanding to take Ace and Luffy back to Foosha but Mihawk simply says no, he won't let them go. He'll sink Garp's ship before letting him take them. Garp is looking at him and then Ace and Luffy march forward while Sanji is quietly trying to get them to stop and go back, but they tell Garp to go away because they're happy. Garp says he'll be checking in and gives both Luffy and Ace fists of love and looks at Sanji, who is shaking and looking at him in fear. Luffy says he can't hit Sanji hard because he cries a lot and Garp is going on about being his grandson and how he needs to learn but Mihawk and Ace are telling Garp if he touches Sanji he's going to get it. Garp says he'll be checking in and leaves and Luffy whines he's hungry so they go make lunch. Garp starts making multiple visits and stops hitting Ace and Luffy because the second time he visited Mihawk set the humandrills on him.

Mihawk brings home the mera mera no mi from a raid and is making calls to find where best to sell it when he feels the rubber fingers of his youngest son and then his body snap into him and tell him his eldest son is on fire so he hangs up quickly, holds onto Luffy tightly and runs. Sanji is staring at Ace who is indeed on fire. Ace is laughing though and he's not hurt, he is not burning. After checking the three of them over and deeming them all unharmed, surprisingly, he tells Ace he's not mad and just glad he's okay.

Luffy has a hard time adjusting when Sanji goes to work at Baratie full time and when Ace sets off not long after. But Mihawk takes him to visit Sanji a lot and when he has to go on jobs as a Warlord he calls Luffy every day to check on him because Mihawk knows Luffy hates being alone. So when he sets off and starts gathering his crew and they end up at Baratie and Zoro fights his and Sanji's dad basically at what is basically their uncle's restaurant and almost dies and then the ship gets stolen by Nami. Luffy finds Sanji at one point and says they are not telling Ace about any of this and Sanji fucking loses it.

When they see Ace in Alabasta and all catch up. They don't really mention Sanji is their brother but Ace and Luffy show up their brotherly habits. It's good being together again but it's over too soon as Ace continues on and they get Alabasta back for Vivi. Things are pretty normal until Marineford where when Luffy breaks out of Impel Down with his whole team he sees Mihawk waiting with the other Warlords and Ace and Garp on the execution platform.

It all comes to a head when Sengoku is pressuring Ace to claim Roger as his father and Ace claims he has two but Roger is not one of them. Mihawk steps forward and away from the other warlords and joins Luffy in the fight to save Ace which no one fucking expected. After the fight, Ace and Luffy are both severely injured so Law takes Luffy and Marco takes Ace. Shanks looks at Mihawk who simply ignores him and leaves.

When the crew reunites on Sabaody, Zoro is pissed because Mihawk is there with him and keeps guiding him by yanking his shirt. As the rest of the crew and Ace arrive they look at Mihawk in puzzlement because they all know Mihawk helped at Marineford without a reason, except for Ace, Luffy and Sanji. When everyone is on the ship Luffy can't help himself to rubber band himself to Mihawk while yelling 'Dad!' at the top of his fucking lungs which makes everyone but Ace and Sanji stare in shock.

"You can't just yell that, Luffy." Sanji sighs.

"I didn't even say it at my execution, which where you for that?" Ace asks Sanji.

"Running for my life." Sanji shrugs. Mihawk sighs as Luffy laughs. Once things are explained to the crew they set off. Things go as normal just Ace is there, and they run into Sabo in Dressrosa. Ace quickly tells him Mihawk somehow convinced them to go to Kuriagana and raised them there until they set off and he's basically the man Luffy and Ace consider 'dad' as Sabo is like 'yeah, this explains everything at the execution basically and Dragon is going to love hearing this' and Sanji just fired on Big Mom's ship and is on the way to Zou. Sabo gets a double whammy punch from both his brothers though.

When Cross Guild forms, Crocodile asks during a random meeting why Mihawk joined the fight to save Ace. Crocodile understands Buggy, it was his captain's kid but Mihawk? What the Hell was he doing? Mihawk simply gives a small smirk and reminds him Ace said he had two men he considered his fathers but he also knows Ace has three brothers which makes Buggy blink at him and Crocodile yell.

Daeron II stans/Martell stans are so funny, all we said is that Targaryen men denying their daughters and sisters physical, sexual and emotional autonomy for the sake of their politics was awful, using what Daeron II did to Daenerys as an example. And everytime, they tell us to fuck off and selling teenage girls is actually great.

And the fact that what Daeron II did to Daenerys is CLEARLY meant to be a direct callback to what Viserys did to Daenerys Stormborn too. Damn, I thought we all agreed that selling our (teenage sister) to a foreign older man for political gain was disgusting ?? What changed ?

Because those... “anti racism activists” are quick to call the Dothraki “savages brown rapists” but hey I guess it doesn’t apply to the people of “mi gente latino, Arabs, Spaniard, Italians, Welsh and Southest Asia” region.

I think that it has to do with Daemon Blackfyre, that he wanted to preserve his and his sister's reputation, (prevent "relations" b/t her and Daemon, and so there isn't another bastard as with Daena and their father for a multitude of reasons), OR he couldn't persuade Maron from including Daenerys in their deal. Maybe all at once, esp when he's trying to consolidate his own reign/legitimacy/authority. HERE is an interesting essay about his problems and how Daemon Blackfyre would have likely used Daeron's perceived "weakness" to bolster his own claim.

Still don't think the Martells are PoCs or the rest of Dorne (except those of the Greenblood or the "sandy" Dornish), BUT bc the Martells are still not really considered like the other Andal-worshippers bc of that Rhoynar ancestry giving them that absolute primogeniture and the particular accent they have (no most of them do not speak a different language, they just have an accent). So the bigotry against Dornish people is there.

My Wedding Mod | Patreon

The mod will unlock once your sim is engaged. After the engagement, you will find it by clicking on a Sim you control. Look for the My Wedding menu. From there you can start preparing the wedding.

Part 1- Engagement

In the Wedding planner menu, you will be able to go alone or with a partner (by clicking the partner menu) when it comes to joint decisions on the wedding.

You will also find specific social interactions for the couple only. These interactions change when the Sims are married.

From Legal Documents (Partner menu) you may also: Sign Prenuptial Agreement or Talk About Marriage Contract.

Wedding App

The Wedding Reservation (Wedding App menu on your Sim) can be used for Call and Book reservation. The services are different which Sim you are using.

SimBook Service

You can now Create a SimBook account on a computer (Discuss Menu). With this account you will be able to Create and Publish the Wedding List (when the couple is married you will be able to close the list and receive a random amount of money). You can also consult Simbook groups, pages, and manage your own page.

By clicking on the Sim you control and on the Wedding App menu, go to the SimBook menu. You can take photos and upload them to your personal SimBook page.

⚠️ If you cannot find the SimBook or Honeymoon menus on your computer, try changing to another basegame computer.

Wedding Invitations

From the Wedding Online Shopping menu you can buy decorations, flowers and invitations for the wedding. You can order invitations and send them from your Sims’ inventory.

(This menu will be different once married)

Social Interactions

The Wedding Social menu will be used by your Sims to chat with friends about the future wedding, you can also officially Announce the wedding date.

(Social interactions will be different for the couple)

Other Social Interactions

Some interactions will be available only for NPC Sims or friends, and can be found in the different categories of dialogue (funny, mean, mischief, friendly). Beware don’t cause drama in your relationships, don't say I didn't warn you!

Part 2. After Wedding

Keep in mind that after the wedding the mod menus will change, some features will no longer be available and will be replaced by new ones.

Marriage Certificate

When you click on your Sim, you can now order a Wedding Certificate. This can be hung on a wall if you wish.

Honeymoon

You can go on Honeymoon at any time! For a luxury Honeymon, you must first have a plane ticket, which you can buy from the computer (Web menu), the Budget-friendly is a simple Social Event.

You have the possibility to buy a Wedding Photo Album and Travel Guides by looking for Travel Information on a computer about each place (Selvadorada, Komorebi, Granite falls… etc)

When you buy your plane ticket, a few minutes later the Del Sol Valley Company will call you on your phone to sell a luggage insurance. You can buy it or not, as you wish!

Sulani Rental (optional)

As for the Wedding Party Place Lot, there is a created Rental Lot (No CC) for a Honeymoon in Sulani.
