Had to draw Mirei! Decided to use her Wonderland Rabbit Coord! I know igot a few details incorrect but i couldnt find a good reference!

Heeeeeeeey I wasn’t on here today because I was baking / zoning out; wrote that thing for Diantha though on her blog so that was neat. Anyways, lightning round of what my muses may have done on Mother’s Day under the read more ( also if your muses wanna talk to my muses about said things...hmu~ )

Kotori - Probably made her mom a shirt or a little hat; probably spent the whole day hanging out with her, making her breakfast and then just having lots of bonding moments where over a nighttime walk Ms. Minami goes “You really have grown to be a fine young woman.” type of thing.

Hanamaru - Still have no hcs about her mom, but you sure know she’s made her grandma the most soothing breakfast and relaxing day ( reading together probably, doing shopping together maybe ) over lots of nice herbal tea~

Shizuku - Her mom got her into plays; probably surprised her with either tickets to a reshowing of the first play they watched together, or a dvd of it and they watch it together on the couch.

Setsuna - Made her breakfast in bed and thanked her for all the things she’s done for her, but her mom actually initiates a daughter-mother bonding time shopping trip and lunch date, whereupon she’s like “Okay...I want to learn about school idols -” and then Setsuna rambles until dinner time.

Yu - Probably wrote her mom a little song and sang it as she handed her her breakfast in bed; Ayumu’s mom probably comes over with Ayumu around lunch time and they all hangout together.

Uzuki - Goes shopping with her mom, though her mom ends up spoiling her instead of Uzuki spoiling her mom, just because she can’t say no to her.

Kanna - Also writes a song for her mom, with lyrics out of the emails or letters they’ve exchanged since she became an idol.

Producer - Emails his mom...And then surprises her with a bouquet and a nice dinner when they’re both off from work.

Shiki - Drags his mom around everywhere that it seems like she’d enjoy, at the expense of their energy ( and their money ), but I feel like she apperciates all his efforts and tolerates his high energy.

Juza - He probably tried to take a nice picture of he and Kumon as a keepsake for her, and then wrote a nice - or as sentimentally-nice as it can be - letter to her.

Beatrix - Probably clothes shopping and picking out dresses for each other, all while stopping by a little of local cafes and tasting a little bit of everything ( they’re stuffed, their feet hurt, they’re tired as hell, but they feel accomplished ).

Celeste - *hms at known facts of astals and unknown origins of Celeste* ..................She probably stares at the sky.

Djeeta - *hms at all the unknown / vague mom lore, but also just captain’s parent angst in general* ...................................She probably stares at the sky too.

Mireille & Risette - A package deal; Mireille probably thinks back fondly yet sadly on memories with her mom, and her wish to one day have a healthy body to become a mother herself, while Risette thanks Mireille for the life she had given her and gifts her a little broach. They then decide to spend the whole day together, but doing simple things like taking a walk together or cooking for each other, rather than science stuff or Mireille being bedridden.

Vikala - A reminder that her parents are dead, but that the whole zodiac is her family now and so is the crew and that she’s loved and not alone anymore~ ( Probably weeps quietly into either Kumbhira’s or Catura’s mom’s arms, and then enjoys lots of yummy food with them )

Barawa - Sends his mom some fine wine and a letter in all caps as a gift ( Sarya remembers to put in an order for a bouquet and that thing she had written about wanting into this Mother’s Day care package as well ).

Issac - *remembers how his parents basically raised him through their own ideas and beliefs in a kind of twisted way and basically trained him to and instilled all their pressures and wishes of getting to the moon onto him* ........................He looks up at the moon. He curses out the moon under his breath. He spends his time with his buddy who raised Gwynne instead.

Pommern - You bet this man has a set schedule for how he’s going to make this Mother’s Day absolutely perfect for his mama. He wheels her around everywhere and she is very thrilled by it all.

Vane - *remembers reading ahead through the wiki on his SSR lore* He's too busy to visit his parents’ graves, but still gets the chance to say hi to Lancelot’s folks and make his mom’s favorite meal for dinner.

Sakura - *remembers all the jealousy but also yearning for acceptance she feels about original / normal Miku* ...................She sends Miku a nice message via text, and then stares at an artificial sky.

Haruhi - They go with their dad to visit their mom’s grave, and then hang out with their dad all day ( though of course the host club shows up and antics ensue of course ).

Barbara - Probably leaves her mom a nice bouquet, but has Jean deliver it for her.

Katheryne - Gives her creator the appropriate flowers for whichever region, as is the custom.

Lillian - Stares at the sky; hopes to visit her mom’s grave with her dad someday, but it’s all the way in France so that’s kind of hard.

Aisling - *thinks about all her lore* .............................Stares at the sky. Wonders what heaven or any “next life” is like for her mom.

Prunella - *put that vague astral lore with Celeste and mix it with lore I haven’t fully written out about Idunn yet* ............................Stares at the sky.

Experts: Reparations Are Workable and Should Be Provided

As Joe Biden prepares to enter the crowded Democratic field for the 2020 presidential election, it wouldn’t be surprising if the former vice president will join the other 19 declared candidates in using reparations for the Transatlantic Slave Trade as a political platform.

Candidates including New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, California Sen. Kamala Harris, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and former HUD Secretary Julian Castro have said they intend to seek reparations for African Americans.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has asked for reparations for both African Americans and Native Americans.

Just three years ago, a United Nations working group jumped into the fray.

Following 14 years and 20 days of speaking with U.S. officials, activists, and families of people killed by police in major American cities, the U.N. working group issued its conclusion that the slave trade was a crime against humanity and the American government should pay reparations.

The experts traveled to major cities including Washington, D.C.; Jackson, Mississippi; Baltimore; Chicago and New York.

“Contemporary police killings and the trauma it creates are reminiscent of the racial terror lynching in the past,” a French member of the working group of U.N. experts Mireille Fanon-Mendes-France, told CBS News.

Dr. Mary Frances Berry, a Geraldine R. Segal Professor of American Social Thought and the author of numerous books including “My Face is Black Is True: Callie House and the Struggle for Ex-Slave Reparations,” told NNPA Newswire that, “as matter of justice and no matter how long it takes, there should be a full-throated demand for reparations for slavery echoing the demand of the thousands of ex-slaves in the 19th century and reasserted time and again since.”

“The odds against success are great but given the meager gains to date, it’s just as fruitful to argue for reparations as anything else and besides it is a just cause,” Dr. Berry said.

“Whatever we do, we should remind ourselves, as Frederick Douglass said, ‘Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never has. It never will,’” she said.

Berry, who once served as chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and as Assistant Secretary for Education in the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, scoffed at the idea that reparations are “unworkable.”

Precedent has already been set, she said.

“The country has lots of experience with reparations. The federal government gave compensation to slave owners in the border states who let their slaves enlist in the Union Army,” Dr. Berry said.

“Also, during the Civil War, compensation was given to slave owners in the District of Columbia when slaves there were freed in 1862 and, more recently, compensation for Holocaust victims and the victims of Japanese Internment are examples of reparations,” she said.

Dr. Berry continued:

“In the 19th century after the Civil War, Callie House, a former slave, led a movement to demand pensions for old ex-slaves as reparations for their poverty and unrequited labor during slavery.

“Her organization collected petitions including the names of former owners of ex-slaves and succeeded in having bills introduced in Congress and sued the federal government, losing on technical grounds.”

San Francisco-based attorney Dale Minami, who was involved in significant litigation involving the civil rights of Asian Pacific Americans and other minorities, said he believes the African American vote is critical to a successful reparations campaign.

“With the racial divide stoked by President Donald Trump’s racial bias, the need for some healing among the races is a progressive and necessary policy and redress and reparations promote this healing so that we can move toward a less factionalized, less racially divided country,” Minami said.

For those who believe reparations are unworkable, Minami said they’re conflating two separate issues: the deserving claim to reparations and the difficulty in implementation.

“Reparations is a good idea and depending how you define implementation determines the ‘workability,’” he said.

“If reparations means individual payment, yes, there is a huge problem of allocation of money based on percentage of Black ancestry but if you define it as a Trust Fund to support Black institutions, community organizations, education, or other projects to improve the African American community, it’s bit easier to implement,” Minami said.

As an example, the Civil Liberties Public Education Fund of which Minami served as chairman, received $5 million as part of a Redress bill to give to projects that educate about the injustice of the incarcerations of Japanese Americans.

The original bill called for $50 million but so many were still alive when Redress was granted, the fund dwindled, Minami said.

“So, I think there are creative ways to help make up for the enormous cruelty of slavery and its long-term effects on the Black community,” he said.

Background: She used to live a peaceful life in Ryugu Kingdom and worked as a singer, but sometimes she would swim outside and collect trinkets and books that she would read and collect. She grew up very interested in the surface world and about how big the world actually was. When she turned 30 she went to the outside world, but became a slave. She was as a slave transported by her owner to his home, where Esther was travelling. She met Esther and her crew, when they tried to free the slaves. They met Rouge earlier on as she was outside with her owner. They wanted her help and freed her, but Rouge wasn’t very willing to be free, because if the world was like this, she didn’t want to see more of it. Esther punched her and told her even if she had lost her will to fight, the other slaves might not have and forced her to help them. During the mission, Rouge revealed why she left in the beginning and at the end of it all, Esther told her that the world was grander and better than the world of slavery. An example was the Star Pirates, who helped out and she explained that there are many different systems and beings in this world and that Esther would protect her and show her the world.

About the Character:

Personality: Once she meets someone or something interesting she won’t cease before she has enough information about it. She is curious and acts like a teenage girl when meeting new information. She is also very mature and looks after the others, but her concentration can easily wander. She is very gentle and motherly and almost treats her crewmates as her children. She brushes the pranks off as funny, but can be rather hotheaded when they start to annoy her or when people wont listen to her. She is easily angered and annoyed and thus tends to yell a lot. She acts brave and says that she isn't afraid, but when actually facing something scary, she will hide or shake.
