Miracusalters roast Pt. 7!
So, if salt fic!characters have flaws, shitty behaviors and criminal charges (yes I’m including “Saltinette’s” aka Marinette, the salt writers who claim to adore her yet they turn her into a monster) theirs would be:
Bystander syndrome
Cowardice/spinelessness
Short temperedness
Unprofessional behavior (you know who I’m referring to)
Cultish behaviors (leader(s) is absolute, with me or against me mentality)
Inclusivity bias (dissing other groups for not “siding” with them)
Delusions of grandeur (main/major/recurring characters thinking they’re the top of the world)
Misappropriation of funds (usually Lila stealing money from classmates to buy things she wants)
Criminal conspiracies
Conspiracies to commit murder
Theft (again, Lila is the victim of the salt fic writers)
Misinformation
Plagiarism (I stg the salt fics have way too similar formulas by even just remembering them)
(Aggravated) assault and battery
Abuse (familial, domestic, etc. you get the drift)
Murder
Attempted murder
Suicide baiting
THIS
Them salt writers denial game so strong they aren’t even able to see they are doing magnificent acts of disservice to who they adore.
Oof I just stumbled on a Lila steal fic while scrolling here today before seeing this.
But yeah mhm. These losers manage to become or transcend the mindset of the very things they write or salt about.
And they like committing/seeing copy paste Stale Template Trash.
They do love the mission of spreading misinformation (which is more amusing considering their unstable hatred or mockery of certain tricksters) and then blame characters that they think should be immune.
Drag down whoever they feel didn’t align with their cult how they feel, didn’t align correctly as wished, or involve characters that don’t need to be involved.
Speaking of conspiracies, I remember some dweeb reviewer (They deleted their blog) was able to acknowledge that Juleka was sacrificed hard again by Marinette but proceeds wanting Lila to be a serial killer and proceeds pretty much blaming Lila solely.

( anna sawai, 32, female, she/her ) — Look who it is! If you take a look at our database, you’ll find that MIRAI MORI is a a RESEARCH SUBJECT that works in SECTOR 5. According to the file, they’re a mutant with the power of RADIATION MANIPULATION. That must be why they’re RESOURSEFUL and EMOTIONALLY SUPRESSED. If you ask me, they remind me of journals filled with thoughts & drawings, surgery & research scars, painkiller bottles, soft lullabies. They are affiliated with NOBODY

✕ ⸻ BIO
to be updated & perfected more in the future
tw: murder, assault, dumb humor (sowwy)
Mirai's mother, Kazumi, was a generation 1 acid manipulation mutant. She was in her last year of high school when she fell pregnant with Mirai. The father was a mystery, but all Mirai knew was that he was a constant topic in arguments between Kazumi & Kazumi's mother, who was a politician. She learned cuss words quick. Anger was understood before the word 'mommy'. 'Bitch' had been her first word. In fits of anger, dolls, tables, & anything fragile was destroyed at her hands. Mirai's mother & grandmother were lucky until she hit puberty that her own mutation as a generation two mutant came to surface. Her abilities & symptoms started in phases. When she would get angry, her skin would began to glow green. It was a nice precursor for others to know when her outbursts were coming. It wasn't long until those around her would experience radiation syndrom & any touch from her resulted in boiling burnt skin. Immediate treatment would be necessary for those affected. But not that she'd burnt anyone! She never laid a hand on her mother, nor her grandmother. Other girls & boys in school? Well...they just didn't get burnt. She didn't necessarily have control but she knew the repercussions of burning someone else. Her mother & grandmother could forgive & understand...Maybe.
At 13, Mirai’s temper, sharp tongue, and fast fists finally caught up with her. The bullying over her green-glowing skin had been relentless that day, and she snapped. What started as an argument escalated into a brawl, and as the fight broke out, her proximity alone made several girls and bystanders fall sick from radiation exposure. Those who got too close were left with burns—on their arms, faces, or wherever her hands made contact. The school had no choice but to call the police, but when they arrived, even they couldn’t handle her. They tried to subdue her with tasers and mace, but Mirai seemed untouchable. Handcuffs melted at the mere touch of her skin, and the officers began vomiting just from standing near her, the effects of her radiation too intense for them to bear. It took a three-hour phone call with Kazumi and her grandmother on speakerphone to finally calm Mirai down enough for anyone to approach. Exhausted, she was handcuffed and dragged to the police station, her glowing skin dimming as the adrenaline faded. Only then did she look around and see the devastation she’d caused—the burns, the sickness, the fear—and for the first time, the weight of her actions truly hit her.
Thanks to Grandma Mori's powerful connections, Mirai’s fate took an unexpected turn. What should have been multiple life sentences—especially with one of her victims barely surviving the burns and radiation poisoning—was miraculously reduced to 11 years. The defense argued self-defense and mental instability, playing heavily into the circumstances of her mutation and emotional volatility. Though her actions had been destructive, the legal team managed to sway the court just enough to spare her from a harsher sentence. Still, 11 years behind bars awaited her, and Mirai would spend her youth paying the price for a moment that changed everything.
She got out at 24 years old & was shortly approached after to be a research subject. Blah, blah, blah, gamma & neutron, blah, blah, DNA, blah, blah, research, 10,000 per month to start, blah, blah, blah, availibility...you can guess what peaked her interest & where she stopped listening. None of the logistics mattered anymore. Guaranteed income & it didn't seem horrible at all. She needed something to get her on her feet & whenever she felt like ending things, she would. She should definitely listen to things next time.
Poked, prodded, and examined like a specimen on display, Mirai felt more like an object than a person. She was reminded of that old Operation game she’d once seen in an archive, except now she was the one being dissected. They scrutinized her organs, marveled at her blood as though it held the secret to immortality, treating her like a source of rare, precious material—something to be harvested, not healed. Each day felt like a violation, her body no longer her own, and each night, she cried in silence. Her mind, body, and soul ached from the weight of her choices, but she never spoke up, never asked for help. She simply endured, waiting for the moment when she would break again.
In Mirai’s defense, things had already been rough. They’d poked and prodded her to the point of tears, and at 25, she’d decided to do something for herself—a VCH piercing, something that made her feel sexy amidst all the misery. Unfortunately, her timing couldn’t have been worse. At her next appointment, a curious nurse tugged on the still-swollen piercing, and instinct took over. Without thinking, Mirai side-kicked the nurse in the head, leaving her bloodied and on the floor. It was a reflex, not intentional harm, despite all the threats she’d half-jokingly made about slapping someone if they pricked her wrong again. But intent didn’t matter in the end—she was slapped with another two-year sentence.
Fast forward to now because I'm too lazy to type the filler stuff; Mirai is 32, a new mother to twins, Ren & Yuna (born November 10th), who are only a year old. Still a research subject. Unfortunately, the twins are research subjects as well, but are poked & prodded at much, much less & under Mirai's supervision.
Ren is observant and calm for his age. He’s a quiet child, often watching his surroundings intently as if absorbing every detail. His gentle nature makes him easy to soothe, and he finds comfort in routine. Yuna is energetic and expressive, often trying to communicate with babbles and giggles. She’s curious about everything around her and loves to explore, constantly trying to grab objects or interact with her environment. Together, Ren and Yuna balance each other out, with Ren’s calmness and Yuna’s enthusiasm providing Mirai with moments of both peace and challenge as she navigates motherhood.
✕ ⸻ WANTED CONNECTIONS
people involved in research
neighbors
former friends from prison (jail? idk? someone correct me pls)
i'd be interested in involving her in the unburdened, the damned &/or the mutant society
father to the twins <3 (romance not expected, nor required)
open to anything
✕ ⸻ HEADCANONS
Protective Instinct: Despite her volatile past, Mirai is fiercely protective of her twins. Her first instinct is always to shield them from anything that might even hint at danger. This instinct is so strong that she sometimes catches herself getting anxious when strangers approach them.
Guilt as a Mother: Mirai sometimes struggles with guilt, wondering if she’s fit to be a mother due to her past. There are moments when she worries her old anger issues might resurface or that her children might inherit her mutation.
Nighttime Routine: Mirai finds peace in the quiet moments of the night when both Ren and Yuna are asleep. She often stares at them in their cribs, promising herself she’ll give them a life better than the one she had.
Healing Through Them: The twins have become her emotional anchor. Whenever she feels overwhelmed by her past or the scars of her time as a research subject, Ren and Yuna's smiles pull her back into the present, helping her heal.
Physical Touch Hesitation: After years of her body being dangerous to others, Mirai still sometimes hesitates before touching her children, worried—even though she’s cured—that her touch could harm them. It’s something she’s slowly working on overcoming.
Therapeutic Journaling: To cope with her emotions and trauma, Mirai keeps a journal where she writes letters to her twins, sharing her hopes, dreams, and fears. It serves as both a form of therapy and a way to communicate her love and lessons for them as they grow.
Art as Expression: Art has become an important form of expression for Mirai. She often draws or paints during her free time, using it as a way to process her emotions. Sometimes, she’ll involve Ren and Yuna, encouraging their creativity and bonding with them through art.
✕ ⸻ QUESTIONNAIRE
how do they feel about living in sol city? have they always lived there or did they travel from another settlement?
Mirai feels a deep connection to Sol City, having grown up there and knowing it as her home. However, her relationship with the city is complicated. While it represents familiarity and roots, it also holds painful memories of her destructive past, including the incident that led to her imprisonment. Despite these mixed feelings, she stays in Sol City to create a stable life for her children, hoping that she can redefine her place in the city now as a mother and not as the person she once was.
do they trust the council's leadership? why or why not?
She doesn’t fully trust the council’s leadership. She views them with a mix of skepticism and quiet resentment. Having been used as a research subject in the past, she’s wary of authority figures, believing that those in power often exploit others for their gain. While the council hasn’t personally wronged her, the scars of past betrayals and manipulations make her reluctant to place her trust in any governing body.
if they chose their sector and profession, why did they make that choice? if they didn't, why not? were they happy with their assignment or not?
Mirai didn’t choose her profession. After her prison release, she was offered a position as a research subject due to her unique mutation—something she accepted out of desperation for income and stability. While the pay is substantial, the job is dehumanizing, and she often feels like an object rather than a person. Far from happy with her assignment, but her limited options and the need to provide for her children keep her tethered to the role.
what's one object that they always keep on their person?
Mirai always keeps a small pendant with her—an old, worn locket that belonged to her mother, Kazumi. Inside is a faded picture of Kazumi when she was Mirai’s age. It serves as a reminder of her mother’s strength and the complex relationship they shared, especially when it comes to controlling their respective powers. There is also a picture of Ren & Yuna on their first birthday.
what is your character's ability (or abilities)?
Mirai’s ability is radiation manipulation. She has the power to generate and control radioactive energy, which manifests in various ways. When she’s agitated, her skin glows a faint green, signaling that her powers are becoming active. She can emit dangerous levels of radiation that cause illness or severe burns to those nearby, especially with direct contact (known as acute radiation syndrome). The potency of her power is dangerous not only to her enemies but to innocent bystanders, which is why she was contained for so long. Mirai can also generate intense heat and energy bursts, causing destruction on a larger scale if her emotions spiral out of control.
what can your character do? what are their strengths?
Mirai can create radioactive energy fields, release bursts of radiation that can incapacitate or kill, and cause burns with a mere touch. Her body is also resistant to most toxins and chemicals due to the nature of her mutation.
what can't they do? what are their weaknesses?
Mirai struggles to fully control her powers under emotional stress. Strong emotions, like anger or fear, can trigger involuntary bursts of radiation, endangering those around her. She can’t fully neutralize the radiation she releases once it’s been emitted, meaning collateral damage is always a risk. Additionally, while resistant to toxins, she is not immune to physical injuries or exhaustion from overexerting her powers.
is there anything else you'd like to specify about them?
Mirai is a deeply complicated character, torn between her desire to be a good mother and her fear of the damage she’s capable of. She’s hardened by her past but softened by her children, and she desperately wants to create a better life for them, even if she doesn’t fully believe she deserves it.
✕ ⸻ REN & YUNA
Ren and Yuna Mori are Mirai’s two-year-old twins,. Despite being twins, they have distinct personalities that balance each other out. Together, they complement each other perfectly—Ren keeps Yuna grounded, and Yuna pulls Ren out of his shell.
Ren is observant, quiet, and thoughtful. He prefers to watch before acting, absorbing everything around him. Though he doesn’t talk much, when he does, his words are intentional. He speaks in short, clear sentences but has a prefence to gestures & head nods. His vocabulary is growing & he understands a lot more than he says--he just doesn't always feel the need to speak. He speaks when he has something to say. He’s cautious but deeply affectionate in his own way, often showing love through small gestures rather than words. He prefers doing things on his own but will quietly lean against Mirai or reach for her hand when he needs comfort. He has a soft spot for Yuna and will hold her hand when she gets too excited or needs grounding. He’s especially attached to Mirai and his sister, sometimes acting as Yuna’s little voice of reason.
Yuna, on the other hand, is energetic, expressive, and full of life. She’s always moving, always talking, and always curious about the world around her. She loves to narrate what she's doing, even if it's just to herself. A nonstop chatterbox, she's always trying to say something--even if her words aren't fully clear yet. She picks up words quickly & repeats, even the ones she's not supposed to. With her inquisitive mine, she's always asking questions, whether she gets an answer or not. Unlike Ren, she isn’t afraid to speak her mind—or his, often answering for him before he even gets the chance. Her excitement can be contagious, and she loves making people smile, whether through incoherent words, hugs, or offering them something as simple as a flower.
Ren is observant, quiet, and thoughtful, preferring puzzles, drawing, and listening to stories. He takes his time to process things and enjoys watching the world around him. Yuna, on the other hand, is energetic, expressive, and social. She loves dancing, singing, collecting little treasures, and chatting with anyone who will listen. Despite their differences, they are inseparable. Yuna often takes the lead in their adventures, while Ren follows with cautious curiosity. They both enjoy outdoor play, hide-and-seek (where Ren takes it seriously and Yuna doesn’t), and snuggling with Mirai at the end of the day. Their bond is strong, balancing each other out as they grow and explore the world together.
They are Mirai’s greatest joy, her biggest challenge, and the two little lights that keep her moving forward. Both Ren and Yuna share a deep bond with their mother, and though they’re still so young, they are unfazed by her powers. Mirai hasn’t realized it yet, but they are immune to her radiation—something that has yet to be discovered. This gives them a unique connection to their mother, though Mirai is often overly cautious, still fearing the possibility of hurting them as she once did others. For now, that immunity remains a hidden mystery, waiting to be uncovered.
