On Monday, October 28th, XVII Label brought an unforgettable experience to London’s Ministry of Sound, with an explosive night of Hard Techno and Psytrance. Founded by Italian DJ and producer Erica Chessari, XVII Label is fast becoming a force in the electronic music world, delivering high-energy performances and a unique sound that’s captivating audiences. This Halloween-themed event featured a remarkable lineup and a dedicated crowd, creating a night of incredible atmosphere and electrifying vibes.

The Lineup

The event’s stellar lineup included some of the brightest talents in the electronic scene. I-DA set the tone with her signature blend of bouncy techno beats, groovy twists, and infectious energy, which has made her a must-see at major clubs including Ministry of Sound and The Egg London. Her set showcased her unique ability to masterfully weave beautiful harmonies into driving beats, lighting up the dancefloor and captivating the crowd.

Areeb Abbasi followed, bringing a wealth of experience and versatility to the stage. Known for his smooth transitions and dynamic setlists, Areeb has built a reputation across Turkey, the UK, and Pakistan, specializing in Techno, Progressive House, Tech House, and Melodic Techno. His performance kept the crowd moving, with powerful beats and intricate rhythms.

The lineup also featured Kling, a Brazilian DJ known for his passionate and intense approach to Techno. Kling’s sound infused the night with raw energy, elevating the party atmosphere.

Erica Chessari herself took the decks with a powerful set of hard-hitting beats, displaying her talents as both a DJ and a visionary behind XVII Label. Known for her deep and intense Hard Techno sound, she engaged the audience with a unique energy that reflected her passion for the genre.

Closing out the night was Dres Codex, a London-based DJ originally from Spain, who has quickly made a name for himself in the Hard Techno scene. Known for his fast-paced and high-energy style, Dres brought an unforgettable close to the event with his relentless beats and commanding presence on stage. Despite only entering the music scene at the start of 2023, he has already become a major talent to watch.

A Night to Remember

With an enthusiastic crowd dressed in Halloween costumes, the event was a vibrant and thrilling experience, showcasing the best of hard techno and psytrance. Not sure how #ministryofsound are classing this as 30 years of hardcore. Happy Hardcore had it's roots in acid house but wasn't really a genre in it's own right until 93/94. I guess once you've made an easy listening comp and a rock n roll one you might as well go for a genre you mocked back in the day. Last Friday night, FUTURE took over the iconic Ministry of Sound for an unforgettable night of electronic music, featuring an impressive lineup of DJs that kept the energy soaring.
